So I'm catching on WAN show coz reasons, i was watching/listening to December 10th WAN show and Linus Leaked the LTT Backpack. And you know what? i kinda want one. I am not known to be gentle with bags and i do tend to go through them rather quickly, so buying backpacks is kind of a chore for me. Literally got one on the 24th dec and the strap is already half gone. Anyways, as motorcycle rider (its my only vehicle) I wanna ask Linus how will the backpack fair against that kind of usage? exposure to weather etc? lots of sun and lots of rain because sub Saharan half the year, sub tropic the other half (actually more like daily). When winter is over in Canada and they havens released the back, can he test it while riding daily?

Hey all, Great WAN show as always, I normally listen to it when doing building work, it's relaxing! I heard the thing about the inflatable motorcycle jacket, it is quite a strange thing to attempt a subscription model on. In Europe (I'm in the UK), we've had inflatable jackets for around 10-15 years, costing between $600-1000. They have not been 'smart devices', all that happens is that a pull cord is attached to the bike and rider. When the rider is ejected, the jacket inflates via a can of compressed air (bit bigger than a coke can). If the jacket is not damaged, you can buy a new can of air for $10-20 and carry on using the jacket. Only from my experience, the key areas that need protecting are: head, neck, spine and pelvis. The jacket will prevent severe internal injuries as well as protecting the spine. The really good ones inflate UP under the helmet to prevent unhealthy head movement. If you're wondering what happens when a car pulls out in front of you when you're doing 50-60mph, here it is (3 years to recover, before I was able to ride again): What a pelvis can do to a metal petrol tank when going from 50-60mph to 0mph My current moped

Hi everyone, i am looking to buy a second hand motorcycle and i am having trouble to decide and i hope some of you guys/gals can help me with it. I don't know jack about cars or motorbike, i don't know anything about it but i did my homework and i am pretty much understand when it comes to feature related to performance and comfort such as slipper clutch, abs and so on but i don't really know much when it comes to cylinder size and what it does to the bike aside from having more powa and lower gas mileage. And i have never ride a 250cc bike so there's that. But here is the main problem, i can get a second hand 250cc bike from say 2016-2019 for the same price as a new 150cc bike from 2020-2021 and i was wondering whether the cylinder size really make much of a difference when it comes to performance and overall riding experience. I live in Indonesia and i got a few 250cc second hand bike to choose but the most prominent is Kawasaki Ninja Fi. And since we are talking about comfort, i am 168cm tall at 53kg. I was wondering if my height and body weight will play part on choosing the bike. Thank you in advance

Thinking of building a water cooled PC in a motorcycle chassis. Use heavy duty automotive hoses, and wiring harness, etc. Mount the radiator where you would on the motorcycle. Mount the power supply underneath the seat. Have RBG lighting for the head light and tail lights. Doesn’t have to be big neither, could use one of them pocket motorcycles, as a base chassis.

Decided to pull the trigger on LTX19. I'm going to be motorcycling to Vancouver from Sacramento, I'd prefer to make the ride/drive with anyone else headed that way from California. I'd also like to split the cost on a hotel or otherwise find options for a hostel too. I'd like to plan as early as Wednesday, or starting early Friday to drive / meet on the way to up to Vancouver. Splitting my trip to two days up! Will be at a KOA in Albany, OR the night of the 25th and headed out early on the 26th! I don't mind frequent stops (i.e. as frequent as every 30ish minutes,to as long as every 100-140 miles (gas tank restricted), it'll be a long drive and highway wind + summer heat takes a lot outta you when you're riding in the elements. [To explain further anything above 90 American degrees of heat is like riding in a hair dryer and your sweat evaporates very quickly in hot air flowing quickly. Thus, I need to drink lots of fluids on the way there. Plus my bike isn't super big as far as gas range or engine size, I can comfortably make 100 mile fuel stops. 130+ will make me nervous doing high RPM with my bike] I can see phone calls pop up on my phone as a way to communicate and I plan on getting a phone setup so I can take calls while riding if needed. As far as myself. I daily ride a Yamaha V Star 650, I'm 19, collage student, and I moved to Cali last year for school and haven't made a lot of new friends with study and all. I'd like to think I'm a nice guy haha, if it helps, I got AAA Premier and wouldn't mind sharing it for the trip. Thanks for reading/considering, please reply or PM if you have any questions or wanna join up! Edit. Staying at Samesun Vancouver at one of the pod rooms. Makes sense for me. woop Edit 2, 7/15 ; Splitting the ride up to two days, haven't heard from many folks for the trip up. If anyone is gonna be around KOA near Albany, OR on the 25/26th, you might hear me! I'll be riding outta there early in the morning Friday.

Just curious and want to know you guys' dream cars/motorcycles/vehicles. Price doesn't matter, it doesn't have to be a supercar or even a sports car or would you rather build your own car??? Would you like electric or plain old muscle V8. As for my dream car, it is tough to decide, real tough. I think I will go for the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita but as it is limited and sold out I think I will go for a crazily modified version of the Dodge Demon or a modded Mustang(70's maybe??). Count in a few GTRs and the Skylines and maybe a Tesla and you are almost there. I probably want to ride the F-35 Raptor too one day. But at 3 Billion $ it is a little out of my price range. Too bad i can't at least fly in a Concord.

I am 18 and I'm looking to buy a motorcycle, but money is the issue of course... I was looking to get a 500-650CC sport bike. I have no tickets and no accidents so that will help me a little bit. I want liability only because I cannot afford the full coverage, it would cost me from about $3,000-$5,000 last time I called. I called insurance companies and got a HUGE range of prices. The quotes range from $13 a month to $50 a month for liability, they are all the same (I think). This is the minimum required by law in Colorado. Anyway I was looking to see if these are average prices for insurance and if getting the 500-600 is a good choice. I have talked to so many people with a 250-300 and they say they got bored of it within 3 months, and I don't want that to happen because that's just more money wasted. I am taking a motorcycle safety class June 12-13 and hopefully that will cut insurance prices a little bit more. I will have about $5,000 to spend on a bike and who knows how much on insurance. I already have a helmet (HJC CL-17), boots (Tourmaster Response 2.0) and gloves (Some Icon ones). Do I really need a jacket and pants? I don't plan on falling and jacket/pants are so expensive. I was wondering if there is a way to get liability but also have theft protection on it, from the research I have done I couldn't find anything and the insurance companies were not much help. If I find a bike that I REALLY like, and it's cheap, should I buy it before I get my license? Lots of questions and hopefully they are good No I cannot get my parents to help me with this, nor do I want my parents to help me with this. They do not approve of this at all, they say it's suicide. When buying a motorcycle should I use a check or take actual cash? I don't know how to write a check nor do I have any checks. Is it fine to leave the bike in storage over the winter or while I'm at school? It would be in a storage unit that I would pay monthly for. Is there anything I am missing at all?

I'm hunting craigslist for a first motorcycle, one I plan to use for occasional commuting (saves gas/toll money, also HOV lane during bad traffic). I have found this (not sure if I'm allowed to post the link here): Custom painted and modified 750 Suzuki Katana Stored indoors new tires, new battery, runs solid. Great older unique looking and sounding bike odometer: 62k transmission: manual I have no family or friends with motorcycle experience so I seek your advice. Does this look like a decent bike? Should I avoid this like the plague?

Zero Motorcycles. Low horse power, low top-speed, all electric. Anyone else think this is spectacular? Sure, it might costs as much as any car, but seriously, if you're traveling a lot without going too far, this seems like an amazing buy to me.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNOyDMzn2bY This is a new video from New york. It seems like a group of motorcyclists are out riding and are surrounding a range rover. Something happens to make them all stop and then rage seems to take control of the driver as he tries to run them over. I'm on the side of the bikers. While they probably did do something stupid and cutting him off and such, that doesn't justify trying to run them all over and potentially killing several of them. What do you guys think?

Unable to afford car insurance, decided to look into motorcycles after I installed a 2 stroke kit on my bicycle, didn't know how much I loved something I completely shunned before. I decided to look into motorcycles and it's same excitement I felt when I first started getting into desktop PCs (It feels good!!!) My 2 stroke kit bicycle Currently at 860KM, freehub won't lock even after a rebuild, currently hibernating outside in snow under a tarp~ My priority is winter compatibility (Planing on all season as this will be my daily). I have been looking around for motorcycles themed around 5 things, Winter capability (ice, snow, slush) easy to work on availability of winter studded tires on that particular rim After market parts and the community around it 2 up I noticed one thing fits the bill, dual sport bikes (Didn't know about them till my buddy told me about it and just kept looking into motorcycles after that, once my exams are over I will spend more time researching) and adventure bikes if budget wasn't an issue. For obvious student on a budget with a part time job reasons, I'll be eyeing on used bikes. I wanted to ask the motorcycle riders here, what would you recommend, or suggest? One other question is that, here in Canada, NL there is another balance test (Different from road test) along with the written exam, what is that exactly and how does one prepare for it?

First, enflish not my first language, sorry for misspelling and formar errors. Right now im buying a "corven triax 150cc" and i was wondering, ¿can you "turbocharge" that engine with a blowymatron?. In my country (argentina) theres not a lot of places to "dyno" a car, less a motorcycle. The place that does that is 250km of where i live, so zero chances, but it will be a good proyect to see if it can be done or if it will yield any increase (or decrease) in power. Also, those coolers are extremely rare and if you can source one (i already checked), it will cost arround 30k (at conversion rates it will be arround 150 us dollars) and no less than 30 days to arrive. It will be cool to se someone trying this.
