Hi I have bought a used motherboard and when I got it it was in its original box and it's anti static bag with no extra packaging to protect it ( I live in France this thing came from the other side off the country keep that in mind for later) So I put it in my system and then when I press the power button all fans start spinning RGB turns on everything is normal but then , no post on the screen and and the CPU led on the motherboard is on but my CPU is good because I took out off my old motherboard and it was working and after all this I put my pc back to how it was before and everything was working fine. So there's something wrong with this motherboard my CPU is a ryzen 5 2600x and my old motherboard is a Asus prime a 320 mk and the one I bought is a Asus Rog Strix b 450 f gaming it's ryzen 2000 series compatible so no bios update needed so idk . Do you guys have any ideas off what I could try ?

Hey, this is my first time on the LTT forums, reddit was no help, so I turned to probably what should've been my first choice. This problem started a couple months ago, my computer would freeze out of nowhere. Like everything was frozen, the RGB, any kind of mouse movements anything. The only way to solve it was to force shut the computer. I once tried leaving the computer for about 2+ hours sitting frozen to see if it would eventually crash but it did not. Later on, one of my ram sticks stopped working out of nowhere, as windows began reporting only 8gb of ram installed, yet bios was reporting 16. Once I took out the stick, and put it back in, windows would simply refuse to start up. So I deemed that the ram stick was the issue. And to note, yes, I did try all slots on my motherboard. I went on to buy new ram. I replaced my old corsair vengeance low profile with corsair vengeance rgb. With both new ram sticks, windows booted, and was reporting 16gb! But literally after 5 minutes windows froze again, and I was stuck in a constant startup, blue screen and crash loop. I somehow fixed it, but honestly I forgot how. What really confuses me now is that I gave my old ram sticks to a friend, and they worked completely fine in his computer, windows reported 16gb, and we ran a stress test on them and they were fine. And to this day, windows still randomly crashes and freezes out of nowhere. I need help pinpointing this problem, because at this point, im sick and tired of my computer randomly freezing. Even after a complete windows wipe, nothing has changed. TL;DR- My pc randomly freezes, after multiple attempts trying to fix it. EDIT: I took a picture of each of the blue screens I got, hopefully it helps.

I have just built my pc in my DF600 FLUX case which has an LED button just above the power button. Im also using an ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming Motherboard which doesnt have any argb headers. My issue is that because of the lack of argb headers my last resort until I find a solution is to use my LED button to change colours but I have no idea where to plug the 2 pin wire (looks like all the other io wires) labeled as RGB is meant to go. Also if possible pleasefind me a solution to the problem with mobo not having 3pin 5v argb headers. I have searched everywhere and couldnt find a solution so any help is appreciated. thanks in advance

When it starts to lock up, it loses time as in right now it is 1:02pm and it stopped time at 12:50. I have replaced memory and power supply. Reseated the AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics 3.80 GHz. Windows 10 Pro is the OS I am running. I have tried reloading the OS multiple times also. any suggestions?

So I have gotten myself into a little bit of an issue. I had previously installed a 120mm Lepa AIO water cooler into my computer for my CPU. Well the pump just died yesterday in the cooler and I wanted to proceed with taking it off to replace it with a new cooler. I took the AIO off, it went fine up until then. I went to try and unscrew the plastic bits on the front of my motherboard and they won’t come off. I have tried to push the pins through the back of my board to the front and, nothing. I have tried to hold the pins in the back to be able to twist off the plastic knobs in the front, to no success. I guess the plastic pieces might be cross threaded? No idea. But what would my solution to this be? Should I just dremel the plastic pieces off? I really do not know what to do at this point. About the missing pin in the backplate, when I was taking the cooler off it just fell off. Guess I got lucky.

Hey, guys. I have a problem with my motherboard and I think it's finally dead now. (Or it seems so, at least) I've had it since 2013 from a cheap brazilian brand named PCWARE, and around 2016 it started giving me a few issues: It happened that I tried to turn on my PC and the MOBO simply didn't give any video output at all, and kept rebooting itself in a infinite loop (It turned on with no video and after 10 seconds it turned off/on again and kept doing that on and on), so for a fix I simply switched my RAMs from a slot to another and the computer simply turned on back again and I moved on with life. (keep in mind this happened first 4 years ago) The thing is, some months later out of nowhere, the issue always seemed to return, and sometimes I even had to run only with one RAM stick to make the PC turn on again, and then, some days later, I just added the other stick back and BOOM! the thing turned itself on again. But now, it seems like it is completely ''dead'' or bugged, because I can't seem to turn my PC off, since everytime I try to start it back on again, the motherboard keeps rebooting itself with no video output at all around 20 times till it's FINALLY able to turn my PC on, and I've already tried to do all kind of fixes I did back again, but now nothing seems to fix it. I know the motherboard is the faulty piece here, and I'll probably have to buy another one, but I just would like to know if you guys know why it's able to turn itself on after 20 retries (like, literally rebooting and rebooting till the bios screen show up) and if there is a fix I can do for it, since I've tried everything I can think of. (I am writing this using this same PC right now, and it works just fine with all the components on 100% usage, it just doesnt work when I turn it off and try to turn it on again) CPU: i5-3470 PSU: Corsair CX 430 GPU: GTX 960 Windforce Gigabyte RAM: 2x4GB Kingston SSD and HD MOBO: PCWARE IPMH61R3

Hi. I have b450m steel legend motherboard and im having some issues. So I got the motherboad and I installed everything CPU(resitted multible times), RAM( tried 1-3 slot and 2-4 slot) the pc booted up but with multible pc going on and off. I istalled windows 10(re-installed it twice) and so that my task manager is showing 7,9 GB RAM available 8,1 GB is reserved for hardware. (I have no integrated graphics) I downloaded CPU Z and its showing thats in dual. So i placed the ram in 1-2 slot just so i can have all my 16 GB but in single channel. What can I do to make it work in Dual? Is the motherboard faulty? I placed my cpu and ram in another motherboard and its working normally all 16 gb are available. What can I do? Thank You

I just built my PC using a MSI z370 A-Pro motherboard, and when I started it up for the first time, I couldn't load into the BIOS because of the awful reboot and select proper boot device error. MSI customer support told me to install Windows to fix the error, but I can't even access the BIOS to install Windows because my USB keyboard will not work, no matter what USB port I plug it into. I tried two different keyboards that I have, but none of them worked unfortunately. So I am in a weird situation where I can't even load into the BIOS because my computer won't recognize my keyboard, apparently. What should I do? Note: I have not tried a PS/2 keyboard yet, but I'm not sure if I want to because I want to be able to use a USB keyboard instead.

Hardware: Ryzen 1600x Asus Prime b350-Plus Cooler Master Masterliquid ML240L Ballistix sport LT 2400mhz 8Gb (X2) Sapphire Nitro RX580 So I've been trying to understand why my CPU's base core voltage is so high. With everything set to auto in the BIOS (updated 29/11/19) the Core Voltage is set to a whopping 1.506v. I realized this as I was trying to overclock. At 3.8ghz the system is unstable and runs pretty hot (about 10-20 degrees hotter than normal), trying to correct this issue is near impossible as my motherboard's bios doesn't have the capability to directly change the voltage to a specific value, instead they've opted for an offset mode which is driving me crazy. The system didn't post when I tried the offset mode so I'm honestly pretty scared to go forward without really knowing what I'm doing. I'd like to get the best out of my system though, if anyone understood this mess and can help I'd very much appreciate it. Thank you

I bought a open box motherboard today from a pc store and one of the pci-e x16 slots was missing pins, do i have a defective motherboard.DSC_4146.NEF

For some odd reason crossfire didn't work. I tried moving my bridge but nothing happen. I noticed that both cards were recognized. I returned the second gpu. After that, I put my primary card into the second slot and it wasn't recognized at all. Is the second slot broken? Pls help. Hi, I've recently been starting to suffer some problems with my PC that I built back in July 2013 (check HERE for the full details of the system). Since around September/October time, I began putting the system into Hibernate Mode at the end of the day - instead of performing a full Shut Down. At the time, the system ran Windows 7 Ultimate on a Samsung 840 EVO SSD - which failed on 27th December, and that I still need to get around to sending in for RMA. After the failure of my SSD, I needed to get my system back up and running as quickly as possible - so through Windows 8.1 onto the machine. However, I first noticed that the computer stopped being able to keep time, but it didn't fuss me so much, as I use my MacBook about as much as my Main System (feel free to come and delete my Internet). But then I proceeded to notice that the system was running much slower than usual. Yes, it had racked up an Up-Time of 14 days, but it's done that fine in the past! Upon Restart, the Motherboard (Gigabyte M720-US3 [Rev 1.0]) then brought up the Gigabyte things that a UltraDurable Board of the time would - but then it just froze and refused to go any further. After one or two restarts, it booted back into Windows, when I then proceeded to notice that the CPU would run at 100% Usage, but only at 1.6GHz, instead of 3.2GHz like these 965 Black Editions are meant to run at. I've attempted everything that I could think of that could be causing the problems and nothing seems to have solved it. I have tried resetting the BIOS back to the Factory Default Settings, I've tried replacing the CMOS Battery (that did solve the Time Problems), I then have tested the RAM in MemTest84, as well as each individual stick of RAM - which coughed up no problems at all. The CPU isn't Thermal Throttling - as it's running at around 36*C, even when on 100% load at 1.6GHz. Any ideas on what could be the issue? I kind of have my bets on the Motherboard being the issue, being the oldest component of the whole machine (dating back to June 2009). But what do you guys think? Any suggestions would be really useful, thanks in advance!
