After a CMOS reset by plugging out the battery I've been experiencing black screen (no signal). Below are the steps that I have done 1. Plug out all cord (power, usb, etc.) 2. remove ram and gpu 3. remove CMOS batterry and jump JB10 using a screwdriver 4. Press power button for 30 second to remove any power in the mobo 5. Wait 5 Minute before reinstalling the CMOS battery 6. Install gpu and ram back (I've tried to swap ram slot) I also have read multiple forum post regarding this issue. And some might say that it reset video output from GPU to iGPU. But in my case my CPU does not come with iGPU. How do I fix this problem if it is does occur Here's my setup: Mobo: MSI B550m Pro GPU: RTX 2060 CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Ram: KLEVV 8gbx2 Any help would be much appreciated

Motherboard: B650M Pro RS CPU: Ryzen 5 7600X GPU: Radeon RX 7800 XT Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory PSU: Corsair CX650M (2021) 650 W BIOS: 1.28 Full PC Parts list: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/42CdJy Everything is brand new, help would be greatly appreciated All I have done before attempting to power up was, setting up the M.2 Nvme SSD, add in the 2 ram sticks in A1 and A2 slots, put in the CPU, and CPU Cooler, then I added in the 24 pin to ATXPWR1 and 8 pin to ATX12V1. When I turned on the PSU, the motherboard LEDs turned on but when I attempted to power on the board using the System panel header (PWRBTN# and GND) using my case's POWER SW cable, nothing happened, the CPU fans did not turn on, or anything else. I then attempted to use my screw driver to manually click on the power button, but nothing happened too. TLDR: PSU plugged in, motherboard light turns on, power button wont boot pc Steps that I have done: 1. Completely removed the CPU cooler and checked the CPU's orientation was correct and checked for damages. 2. Re-plugged the CPU Fan coolers into the correct CPU Fan pins on the motherboard. 3. Tried removing the RAM and only putting one at a time. 4. Checked to see if my power cables were plugged in correctly and in good orientation

Hello, recently my motherboards LEDs have been flashing orange. I‘ve been reading about this in the internet (PSU problem and so on), but im not facing any computer problems as of right now, so i’m not even sure what the problem is or how to fix it. I‘m not sure if it’s just a lighting problem and if these LEDs even act as the motherboards indicator LEDs. My motherbaord hasn’t been showing up in OpenRGB or MSI Mythic Light, so i‘m just clueless what to do with this. Maybe someone can help me out here. Thanks in advance. If u want a photo or video of the PC/ motherboard, just ask me.

Hi. My Zotac RTX 2070 super Amp Extreme is running at PCIe x16 3.0 @ x8 3.0 checked in GPU-Z. I have tried reinstalling the drivers for GPU. I have reinstalled windows as well and updated the bios of the motherboard as well. Last week my GPU started doing wired stuff like green and blue lines in videos on YouTube using hardware acceleration. the video was glitching and was playing frame by frames. My wallpaper engine started glitching as well on hardware acceleration and My local stored 4k, HDR videos started glitching as well and was playing frame by frame. Disabled the Hardware acceleration resolved the issue. Then after 2 days, the GPU stopped working and I was unable to install the driver and the device manager was giving an error in GPU [Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) ]. Frames were dropping and the games started to crash after every 10 mnts. So I gave the GPU for RMA. Today I got the newly replaced unit of GPU. Youtube, Wallpaper engine is working fine now on hardware acceleration now and my local stored 4k, HDR videos are working fine as well but the GPU is still running at x8 instead of x16. I have stress tested the GPU and CPU as well and checked the wattage usage in HWmonitor if it's fluctuating or not.I have reseated the CPU GPU, reseated all PSU connectors, I have updated the Mob BIOS as well. I have posted the video link below this was happening with the last GPU Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2u3BS426gQ CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard: Asus EX A320M ( update to latest BIOS. I have nvme ssd as well I have tried removing that as well it's still running at x8 Please help, Thank you

Basically, my problem started about three days ago we booted up to a prompt saying that no boot drive was detected. We had a guy come over and all he did was reseat and clean the M.2 pins. And we were able to boot to windows. Next day, the same thing happened. We struggled a little bit to figure out what was wrong this time, but it was still the same solution, CLEAN the M.2 pins. We only reseated it prior to that, but had no luck. So right now, with some anxiety I powered my desktop on and was met with the same prompt. To note/Some Questions: -This doesn't seem to happen only everytime I shut it down and on again, only when off for what seems like long periods of time. - My NVME (Patriot P300) which I've had for 9-10 months along with the desktop, according to CrystalDiskInfo is at 97% health. - My motherboard is a Asrock B450m Steel Legend and I haven't updated (at least manually) the BIOS at all. - My NVME's indicator light doesn't flash in the instances where it can't be detected, so it's possible that my motherboard wont send power to it? - I just RMA'd my PSU (Seasonic Focus GM 550) a couple of weeks ago and am now starting to wonder if that could causing a power issue? - Would a clean install of Windows 10 be of any help? - Is it possible and safe for me to just put it on sleep mode forever? - The guy we had come over suggested I just buy a SATA SSD (Not M.2 form factor), but I'm just not sure if it's an issue with the NVME... So overall, I would really appreciate any sort of troubleshooting suggestions from this community as using this desktop daily without the hassle of having to clean the M.2 everyday is very valuable to me. Thank you in advance!

Hello, I have been having this issue for a week or two where my PC restarts mid gaming, Sometimes it restarts as soon as I start a game, sometimes after 2-3 hours. I already tried various things such as swapping my PSU, GPU I also tried Updating my GPU Drivers and Chipset Drivers.. But none of them seem to make a difference. But the thing is when I try stress testing my CPU and GPU everything works perfectly meaning it doesn't reboot or shutdown. I did many times same result. I can't say if this is a software issue or motherboard. SPECS: Core i5 6400 rx560 16GB RAM (forgot the exact name) Thermaltake Litepower 550W PSU Games tested on: Rainbow Six Siege A way out Farcry 4 Farcry 5 Benchmarked on: Benchmark Heaven Cinebench

Hello everyone, today is a hot day, isn't it? okay, enough joking, I'm freaking right now atm... so to sort things out, here's a picture of what I found in Corsair LINK. as you can see, the temp #2 is quite... melting point... I actually did what a normal human do, freak out and open the case right away to check where the heat is coming from AAAAAAaand it turns out to be the heatsink of the motherboard... which was quite hot to touch "not that HOT which can burn my finger as the temp #2 says" I don't know if I should freak out or cool it down "please kill me for the puns" tell me what you think, and thanks for the help I appreciate it.

hi all, so this is my specs i7 3960x (managed 4.8ghz at 1.39v 16gb ddr3 1866 mhz 4x4 asrock X79 extreme9 motherboard Gtx 1080 (with a accelero extreme iv cooler on cooler master cosmos se case evga 850 b2 psu (tested with a seasonic 620W modual psu also) so the issue is the pc will function fine with no issues, however when i shutdown the pc will look like its shut down on the screen but none of my leds or fans, or even the motherboard will turn off i have to force power down, when i make a change in the bios and click save and exit (same with discard and exit, load defults) it looks like its frozen (the clock stops ticking) but when i force the shut down the settings that i changed have been saved, the reset button doesnt work on the board or on the case. the debug code that appears when shutting down the pc reads 05 and when in the bios it reads A6. little wierd and ive never come accross this before, i have ordered a new bios chip which is to be delivered in the next few days but not so sure if that will work as i have already updated the bios on this motherboard to the latest 4.0. any help is appreciated. i got this board second hand and not through ebay or paypal, cash in hand so cannot really return it.. its a great board i only have to force shut down.

So my friend has gone through a lot of computers over the years and his current machine isn't even good enough to run csgo. To fix this we started to create the Frankenstein computer which is a mix of all his old computers to create a new working one that can run games without spending anymore money. About an hour into our work we were able to get a machine to post, but now it's stuck in a constant bios loop and doesn't show any signs of the hard drive being plugged in even though it is brand new with a working sata(I tried all the sata connections already). It also won't let us flash the bios with the latest version. Nor I or my friend could find a solution to our problem. if anyone has any suggestions I am all ears. solutions I have tried -resetting the bios to factory settings -reseating the ram/removing each stick and try different combos -booting into a usb drive -different hard drives -talking dirty to the components i forgot to clear the cmos and the cpu did not have a proper cooler but it never exceeded 75c. mobo: i forgot, but is an asus prebuilt mobo from 2013-2014 cpu: amd a6 6400k gpu: gtx 760 ram: some 4gb stick of ddr3 1600mhz thanks for your help.

Hiya, so a quick rundown: my laptop stopped working on me so built myself a new pc. Been using it for around a week and decided to try get some of my data off of my old HDD. Didnt have an adapter so plugged it into my mobo and psu like a normal hard drive, and now the pc wont boot. I've also tried taking the HDD out and done a CMOS reset, but still no luck. Any help would be amazing.

I'd like to discuss about my situation. I guess this post should be in trouble shooting by i don't get any kind of help over there, so please admin let me get some help first, then i'll delete/move this topic myself So my problem is my laptop wasn't detecting any charger (lenovo ip110) i wasn't sure if it's mobo or battery problem, my laptop also doesn't turn on without the battery but after hours of troubleshooting i was able to run the laptop without battery, so the trick is even if battery has 0% charge, the laptop try to turn on and then shut down even if the charger is plugged in but when it tries to turn on i just unplug the battery, and the laptop run smoothly without the battery, and the battery indicator says "no battery is detected" so looks like charger is working also ac is supplying current smoothly to the motherboard but battery doesn't take any charge, Before buying any battery i'd like to know is it battery who's faulty that taking no charge? or this is some kind of motherboard issue that it can't supply power to the battery? Currently i'm using this laptop and posting from it, so i can just use this trick and turn this laptop on Thanks

Hello, how are you doing, i'm not fine as the title suggests. i've been having this absurdly annoying problem since early april of this year, and i still didn't managed to solve it. But, i already made 2 posts on this forum and people relly helped me out, seriously, thank you. The things i know is that it isn't overheating, faulty PSU, neither faulty GPU. At this point i know it's probably a faulty motherboard, maybe it isn't handling the GPU power delivery, every time the pc shuts down, in fact it does not shutdown it restarts and it even sends me back to the "the bios was set do default settings" screen. another weird thing is that the pc struggles to turn back on, it keeps turning on and off repeatedly (before the bios screen shows up.) if you guys can help me or say something i could try other than: "replace the motherboard" it would be very welcome. NOTES: - Don't ask me do download or try stress tests I have (almost) every kind of it installed and tried all of them, the only one that showed relevant results was furmark, wich the pc shuts down after 10 min or so - My problem is VERY similar to this guy, except his problem is a faulty PSU: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/7trnqg/pc_shutdown_with_high_gpu_usage/ - PC specs: i7 6700K; RTX 2060 Super; MSI Z270 Krait Gaming; 2X hyperx fury 8gb DDR4 2133mhz; EVGA 750GQ

I am having issues with my motherboard and my ram even though both are listed as compatible. The original board booted with 2 sticks but not all 4 instead throwing a memory training issue and power cyling forever. After testing I found slot A1 was not booting with ram at all so I sent the board for RMA. I got a new one back rebuilt the board on a test bench and now it throws memory training issues with more than 1 stick. leading to endless power cycling. It only boots all the way on any of the single 8 gig sticks in the A2 slot. All 4 ram sticks work in this function. I have discharged cmos and followed troubleshooting instructions including factory reset I am using the latest bios. The CPU has been used daily from December onward. Asrock support claims the board was tested before shipping. Did they just lie about compatibility or am I a magnet for bad boards? Also the first board worked with some old corsair CMK16GX4M2A2400C14 ram which I do not have around to test for the second. I won't throw out the idea of a bad memory controller on CPU but it seems unlikely. Hi Specs down below. Just build a Ryzen machine that won't even post. All lights and fans work but there is no power to any USB ports, front nor back. Tested GPU in another machine and it works fine. Tried plugging monitor directly to the MB without a GPU but still no signal. Tried removing the RAM and testing the slots one by one with each stick, nothing. Tried removing SSD; re-plugging CPU and MB power cables; power on with no RAM sticks at all, still nothing. Have anyone experienced this before or know any good advices? Sadly this MB doesn't have an error code display I'm beginning to believe it's a motherboard or PSU problem so my next step is to re-assemble the whole PC outside of the case and use parts from my other PC that I know works and see if I can narrow it down. My computer recently ran into a hardware issue where i had to buy new ram and the only ram compatible was DDR3, so i had to blow 130$ on new ram. I currently have A Gigabyte 970A-DSP3-FX Motherboard with an AMD-FX6300 that im pretty sure doesn't support newer intel processors which i want to get. Is there any motherboard that supports DDR3 and can support intel chips because i might be screwed since most motherboards these days do not support DDR3 ram. Also are Ryzen chips supported on this motherboard or do they require their own type of motherboard too?
