  1. So I have spent the better part of 2 weeks (in my free time) trying to sort out what exactly is going on with this thing. Let me air out this story for some context. I had purchased this kit off of eBay almost as soon as I had seen the posting. It was a solid price ($551USD) and already had the upgraded Sunrich S-331 backplane so I was pretty stoked that there really wouldn't be anything for me to do beside have fun... Specs - 1 x SuperMicro X9SRH-7TF 1 x Intel Xeon E5-1620V2 4 x Hynix HMT31GR7CFR4C-PB 8GB DDR3 3 x PI49230-2X2B 2 x PSM-5760V Fast forward to today and it's honestly been a huge headache. Initially after the first boot, I was having issues with the board either not detecting my keyboard or locking up entirely. So I had spent some time reading the manual and had sorted out howe to reset the BIO to factory defaults. So I did what anyone else does and I pulled the motherboard and found that there were a 2 standoffs that didn't correlate to any holes so I had assumed the board maybe had died. Reached out to the seller to request a new board ands the sent one over. Out of curiosity I put the board on a test bench to tinker around and behold it boots? I thought ok, maybe that wasn't the issue, after a quick bios check, and adding one PCIe card it would bios lock, so I had assumed ok maybe it is dead. New board arrived, and I had assembled it in the chassis(after removing the problematic standoffs) I verified a few times that everything was in order before booting and on first boot it boot locks...again.. seemingly on bios code B4. I have since spent 4 hours along with a few friends troubleshooting various things and still no luck. Ubuntu doesn't recognize any drives (attached to the board directly or to the backplanes) and it still will lock up during post for some unknown reason. The board is on BIOS version 3.0 and the new version don't have any relevant updates so here I am, asking if anyone else has had this issue. Not sure what else to try, the backplanes don't work with my desktop (No Post) and directly adding the drive bypassing the backplanes also yields no success. Thanks in advance and hopefully I'm just an idiot :/ IMG_2155.HEIC IMG_2137.HEIC
  2. Hi. Im searching for a new psu and I don’t know which is the right one. my motherboard only has one 16 pin input and my GPU only has an eight pin one. Can I use the standard psu’s from ASUS or do I need something special?
  3. Been having a problem with my B360, when I go into the bios and save and exit, I get this M.2 Genie error at startup which prevents me from loading into windows, here is the srtange part I don't have any M.2 nvme installed. I only have two SATA SSDs, I have tried to turn off the m.2 port in the pcie settings in bios but it then BSODs saying invalid boot device had to take out the CMOs battery and after all that I was able to boot back into windows on my SSD. I want to know is there a way I can just go into my bios without it having that error at startup? I really don't want to buy a nvme drive unless it's the only option.
  4. I'm looking to upgrade to AM5 in 2024 (7800X3D or 8800X3D if it releases S1) and I'm surveying the boards. But not only did AMD make things confusing with the -E stuff, but manufacturers added a ton more with weird lanes distribution, some having like 4x M2s but only 1 Pcie slot really, most not having bifurcation on the main PCie x16, various Gen5 vs Gen4 configuration, a lot of shared bandwidth between PCie, SATA and M2 etc.. I'm mostly looking at B650E and X670E, but the latter don't seem to be worth its price, so I'm leaning towards a B650E, the ASUS Strix E-E being my current best pick, the Aorus Master second but it's 100EUR more here, 450 to 350, with the X670E Aorus Master being 500 it makes no sense. The best roundup I came up to is the HUB AMD B650 Roundup (YT video, screenshot below) , but even then it doesn't tell about the PCie bandwidth (Gen3 x1 and Gen4 x4 aren't the same!) nor the shared bandwidth limitations (which are sometimes huge like on the Creator) Then there's Buildzoid, it's super informative and detailed but his vids are 1 hour per brand , with no summary ... Apart of having to look myself at every and all board'specs, is there a detailed comparison somewhere ??
  5. I want to get new wifi 6 antennas because I have wifi 6 router and wifi 6-supported modem. Will the antennas be compatible with my motherboard ASROCK b550 AM Gaming? CyberPowerPC - Gamer Supreme Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X - 16GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT - 1TB SSD - Model: SLC3400BSDF
  6. As the title says I'm getting a post code after I boot normal for about an hour it shows the temp sitting about 50-60 while playing games then it jumps to a post code of 00 it is a MSI creation prestige x570 with a ryzen 3900x also the RGB goes haywire and just starts blinking I've tried replacing the PSU and that didnt work and now I'm afraid it's the motherboard at this point please help me either confirm it's the motherboard or something else
  7. Hello guys i have a problem and i would like to get your advice. I bought a brand new motherboard with vram and cpu waterblock build in and i have to pull it out to put the cpu and thermalgrease but it was sticky because of the thermalpads while lifting the waterblock i think one of the phases broken or it was soldered bad at factory. My question is would it be fine if i bring to one of the technician to solder the phase back on its place? see the photos so you can have an idea how bad it is.
  8. I am currently planning a pc build for my dad for work this is my current choice of parts. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/P3FNk9 I was planning to use the cpus integrated graphics. I was wondering if this motherboard https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813145432?Item=N82E16813145432&Description=lga 1700 socket motherboard&cm_re=lga_1700 socket motherboard-_-13-145-432-_-Product could supoport 4 monitors for his work.
  9. Hi All. I need your help in taking a decision to upgrade my PC. The current config is ASUS ROG Strix b350-f, Ryzen 1600, R7 260 2GB Graphic card, Crucial 8gb(2400) x 1 DDR4 Ram, Cooler Master 500 Watts. I'm looking to upgrade my processor and graphic card to Ryzen 5 5600G and Radeon RX 6400. Will my motherboard support this new processor? Will there be any performance/compatibility issue? I have checked the Asus site as well and mentions it will support this processor (refer screenshot), but the shop person says mobo will face some performance issue. It's fine for me if the performance loss is less as I'm not going to do any heavy duty task. It's been used mostly for games but occasionally. Please share your opinion on this whether using Ryzen 5 5600G and Radeon RX 6400 in my old ASUS ROG Strix b350-f motherboard won't cause any issue? My budget is very limited not and can't increase it. Thats why I'm opting for them swap. Looking forward for your opinions. Thanks in advance.
  10. Hey everyone, I just got my new PC today (prebuilt without OS), but I'm having some coil whine issue with (I think) the motherboard. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ja5zQwS1S7o (quick video I took, the sound is louder than what the video show) Spec: Windows 10 Ryzen 7600x Gigabyte B650m gaming x ax Fox Spirit Cold Snap XT120 BLACK (air cooler) Kingston FURY Beast 32 Go (2 x 16 Go) DDR5 5600 MHz CL40 Gainward GeForce RTX 4070 Ghost Fox Spirit GT-750P V2 80PLUS Platinum What I tried / did : Updating all of the drivers Disabling XMP profile Updating BIOS from version F4 to F7B, but despite showing a successful update bios, when I prompted the reboot after that. I thought I killed the PC, I had a black screen for a while. After forced reboot, I'm back to version F4 ... I'm giving up on the bios update option, I don't want to kill my brand new PC. https://www.gigabyte.com/fr/Motherboard/B650M-GAMING-X-AX-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios Here some pictures I took from the BIOS, to help you spot some things that can help to get rid of the coil whine. https://imgur.com/a/RIdU6G5 Thanks for your help. (Tomorrow I'll call the costumer services, but I'm afraid they might just ask my to send it back ... which is something I want to avoid).
  11. What is/are the best B650 Motherboards for the Ryzen 7800x3d? Ive looked through many Videos and Websites yet there seems no Single clear choice. I have narrowed down to the ASUS TUF B650 WIFI ASROCK B650 PG Lightning, and AORUS B650 Elite AX Which of those is the best, or are there others im Not aware of? Thanks for your answers.
  12. Hello, I just bought a soundbar to replace my old PC speakers, however i stumbled upon a decision i cannot find a clear answer to. Which would be the best option for output, do I use HDMI to the motherboard, the GPU or should I use the optical cable? Motherboard: AsRock x570 pro4 GPU: Radeon 6650XT I have 2 monitors connected with DP to the GPU. As of now i will plug it with the optical cabel, but will change it if there are any advantages.
  13. Hi, i'm trying to decide which of the following motherboards is better suited for a i7-13700k: ROG Strix B660-F Gaming Wi-Fi ROG Strix B760-F Gaming Wi-Fi ASUS PRIME Z790-P WIFI I don't plan to overclock the processor, i'm picking the K version because the difference in price from the non K version is negligible in my country. Could someone give their input, please? Thanks in advance

You can look at the timeline and my multiple rma's with asus. It's some type of Motherboard or Ram Issue (Need to Fix) My computer boots only with the ram in a specific order from the last time I troubleshooted. I still have random freezes where I need to restart my computer to fix it. Some Timeline Help: Ram boots in specific order check April 4th, 6th, 11th 2023 for my troubleshooting USB Disconnects check September 2022 Tried Windows install on another ssd check September 2022 (steps I tried 4) I looked back and previous discord messages I sent my girlfriend to try and make this as accurate as possible and also checked what I had sent in the forum previously. Some stuff is copy pasted from the forum from a previous help from September 2022 and others are from what I wrote down on discord messages. The images are: The b550 motherboard I tried to get my cpu working in for my previous post, (it had goop in the pins and it was dead so I returned it and sent the motherboard to asus instead) The splash screen for the bios that I got stuck in before I sent in my motherboard for the second time. The ram sticks I tried. Part of both RMA emails The Motherboard light photo The full ram kit photo {Previous Help for Context} I'm running on linux on pop os. This all started when I restarted my computer to apply updates for linux, the specific os is pop os (22.04 I think) and the computer wouldn't boot it kept not starting for about 10 minutes while I was waiting to hang with friends in discord, so I restarted the computer again in hopes that it would fix the issue and it's been broken ever since. My computer won't start or reach the bios. The color code on my motherboard is like green, the words next to the led say boot. Through some of the troubleshooting steps I took the motherboard would also show the vga light or the yellow light too, while the green one was on. So sometimes the yellow and white were both on, vga and boot. Steps I took: I tried the cables at the back and power cycling the computer. I also tried turning off the power supply and waiting like 30 seconds or so and turning back on and trying that too. I took out the gpu and put in another one, a gtx 1650 super by asus, the Phoenix model, that didn't work. It has a power led so I know I plugged it in correctly because it's red if a connector is not plugged in on the graphics card. I tried removing all the ram sticks but one and originally it wouldn't work and I got a ram light but I think that was because it was in the first slot on the left and not that last one on the right, when I put it in the last slot to the right it didn't get a ram error, but it was still stuck on the green (boot) and the white (vga) led are now on. I can add pictures but I need to wait until I get home. Update: I fully took apart the computer after not getting it into the bios for so long. I changed out the power supply. I changed out the graphics card. I changed the motherboard and it ended up getting cpu error on the other motherboard but it was an ebay motherboard with thermal paste on the socket so I'm not exactly sure if it was not the motherboard that was the problem. Also, before I changed the motherboard I took out the cmos battery for a bit and and started it up without it and then put it back in, changed the battery to a new one. The reason I have so many parts is because I was going to build a computer for my uncle using the 5700g. I'm going to go back home tonight to try idk the 5700g on the ebay motherboard and on the x570 motherboard. At this point there is almost no original parts, I have changed out the gpu, changed the power supply, left one stick of ram in (it's still the same ram), removed both drives in case they were bunk, and changed the motherboard for a b550 board that had thermal paste on the socket, let me see if I can find the listing image. The image I have is an image I took right after receiving the motherboard. July 5th 2022 July 6th Another Update: Using the Cpu for my uncle's computer (5700g) and the motherboard for my uncle's computer (b550 Asus tuff) I tested both CPUs in both motherboards and in the ebay motherboard (b550 asus tuff) I was getting cpu error for both cpus and on my motherboard the uncle's cpu (5700g) was getting a ram error so I tried another ram stick in all four slots and it still wouldn't work. So now I'm super annoyed at the ebay seller. I have presumably 2 dead motherboards, but I don't know for sure because it could be one dead motherboard the ebay (b550 asus tuff) and one dead cpu, my original (5800x) and I won't know until I get a new motherboard. I've never had a single post by the way. Always a black screen and those led error lights. Btw thank you for helping me JogerJ. July 9th Another Update: I just sent my x570 tuff motherboard to asus for an rma since it was under warranty had to pay $25 for shipping so I hope it gets fixed. I also returned the motherboard from the ebay seller and will be looking for a different one for my uncle. August 14th I got the motherboard back and they fixed it. All they told me was that they couldn't find an issue with it so they updated the bios. I really do hope this doesn't happen again. I don't even have my original motherboard box and some of the screws, they didn't send it back, so I can't send it back if I have additional problems. (I did send it back later and it wasn't an issue) Update: September 2022 {Problem Fixed, I Think} {I sent in my motherboard again September 2022} My problem started with my mouse. I was in linux and my mouse and keyboard started randomly disconnecting. I had another issue but it might have not been related where apps would not launch. I would click on an app and it wouldn't launch and my computer would randomly seem to freeze on the home screen as I tried to open apps and they wouldn't work but my mouse would move around the screen and some other apps, especially already open ones would be fine. I had an issue where some apps wouldn't load certain parts of them. Steps I tried: 1 I tried to fix this issue by refreshing my install. After a while I still had the issue and another issue where random usb devices would cut out like my microphone, usb drives, and sometimes my mouse and keyboard. Steps I tried: 2 I tried re-plugging devices into different usb ports on the motherboard. I plugged them preferentially into the usb 3 ports on the back of the motherboard. (This worked a couple times I tried it.) I tried it the next day and my mouse and keyboard were both not detecting inputs, but no matter which usb port I tried it was not detecting anything. (I didn't think to use a usb flash but that would have been smart) I then unplugged everything and restarted my computer from dead (by turning off power supply and holding down power button / turning on power supply and pressing power button till it turned on) I had an issue where my computer refuses to get beyond the Tuff Gaming Bios flash screen now (it was just the logo and Tuff Gaming, it had no words for press del or f2, it was just the symbol and Tuff Gaming frozen) That was after I restarted my computer because my mouse wouldn't work Steps I tried: 3 I had no way to enter bios by pressing del key or f2 or f3 (I pressed them a bunch in this screen but they didn't work) I Restarted it over and over I had got the same screen until, I think (I am not sure) it went to a yellow light (meaning ram) (this sentence could be a wrong memory and I don't have proof of this) Steps I tried: 4 I removed all but one piece of ram and it didn't work. I removed the drive and I basically tried another drive to see if it was a software issue related to Linux. I basically hooked up a drive with a fresh windows install on it and it didn't get to the bios. I then sent the motherboard back to Asus. They could not find a problem with the motherboard so they opted to update the bios and that seemed to fix the issue for the time being. Update: April 4th 2023 I am having a problem with my ram not being detected but I don't know if it is related to the motherboard or to the ram sticks as this could have been the issue back then as well. I really don't know what the issue was at the time. Firstly I have four 8gb ddr4 3600 sticks of ram. I got 16gb and then another 16gb from the same kit. T-Force vulcanZ ddr4 3600 16gb and added another kit down the line. I know Ram 2 and Ram 4 are CL 18-22-22-42. I might edit this part to give more info on the ram like timings on the sticker, but I have to take out the working sticks first. What I tried: 1 I tried removing the ram sticks till it was just one. One ram stick works but I can't get more than two ram sticks to work in slots 1 and 2 currently. Ram 3 in slot 1 / Ram 1 in slot 2 I tried all four slots with Ram 1 Ram 2 and Ram 3. Ram 2+3 struggled to be put into slot 1 ( the ram sticks were tried individually) Ram 1 works slots 1-4 (by itself) Ram 2 works slots 2-4 (by itself) Ram 1 and 2 work together in slots 1 and 3 (together) Three rams don't work well in slot 2 (I tried them individually in this slot and they didn't seem to work) (I don't remember which rams) The ram config I had settled on was: the ram 3 which I got to post in slot 1 / ram 1 into slot 2 / ram 2 in slot 3 / and ram 4 (the one I haven't tried) in slot 4 (in hopes they all might work together) I have not tried Ram 4 in all four slots yet and I have not tried any rams long term in the original testing (since I know that some crash over time now) I had ram 3 in slot 1 / ram 1 in slot 2 / ram 2 in slot 3 / ram 4 in slot 4 (I have them labeled with painters tape, except ram 4) I booted the pc and it ran for a while and I left it running and it went to the yellow error light on the motherboard (which stands for ram.) What I tried Next: 2 I took out ram 4 in slot 4. I booted it up and it ran again and got through booting and to the home screen. I was satisfied to run it like that and went into a discord call and when I launched league my computer crashed and when I booted it again it went into the yellow light mode again. I then pulled out Ram 2 from slot 3 and now my computer works but I don't know if the ram is the issue or it is the motherboard. (because I sent the motherboard to them twice a It could be that these two sticks don't work well or it could be that the motherboard My computer works with the two 8gb sticks by themselves but I want to know which part is borked so I can fix it and not have any more of these issues. I think they are related to the same thing. Update: April 6th 2023 I just tried to run the computer with the two ram sticks that were working. I changed the placement of the ram. Ram 3 in slot 1 Ram 1 in slot 3 It no longer posts fully. It goes to the bios but says it keeps booting into emergency mode. It also doesn't make it to the bios half the time it tries. What I tried: 1 I tried pressing f1 to run set-up in the American megatronics menu It put me in the bios. I pressed f10 to save changes, then the computer restarts and it does it all again. I do the same process for a second time and I stopped. Update: April 11 2023 got all the ram to detect in this order: Ram 4 in slot 1 / Ram 2 in slot 2 / Ram 3 in slot 3 / Ram 1 in slot 4 I still don't know which part is broken so if I have a problem again I don't know which part to buy. I'm putting the photo of the spreadsheet of the ram we tried in different slots. The reason ram 3 has a red slot 1 is because I tried it twice and it booted the second time after taking it out and putting it in again. Ram 4 worked in all four slots after I had put it in harder in slot 2 and 3. I was really giving it both times and heard a click for each side. I don't know why it didn't work somw of the time. All the ram sticks in this spreadsheet were tried on their own before being tried together. {Now} May 6th I need to find out what this is before it borks my computer again. I know it doesn't seem urgent but it is. If it is a motherboard problem and I don't get it fixed now by buying a new motherboard or ram they won't be selling any new motherboards and ram kits. (i.e. no brand new x570 or ddr4 ram) It will be hard to know if the used item I buy is the problem or the other thing I have. (i.e. buying a used x570 motherboard or ddr4 ram kit) That's why I want to fix it right away with a new item. P.S. I posted this in troubleshooting but I never got this problem solved. I also reinstalled the os as a troubleshooting step in the past and later refreshed the os with the refresh tool in thev os. I don't think it is the operating system. My computer still has freezes and I need to restart my computer to use it again. I'm pretty sure it's related to the ram / motherboard problem. Also, I am not sending the motherboard back to asus, I sent it to them twice and they didn't fix the issue and sent back my motherboard with missing pieces (nvme ssd plate and standoffs) and not in the original box which I sent to them in another larger box. If the issue is motherboard I will buy another motherboard brand new from another brand. Same thing with ram, I'll buy a whole new kit rather than gamble with my luck and maybe get another broke part like I did with the used motherboard.
  15. I recently got a new motherboard, the Gigabyte Z790 UD AC, and I am hearing a fairly annoying amount of coil whine. It goes in and out making it worse than just a constant noise. I was hoping the Acoustic Noise Mitigation setting in my bios could help but there are 2 slew rate settings and I want to know what they do before I enable anything. They both go from 2x-16x. If anyone can inform me that would be great.
  16. Hello, I searched for solution from other similar topics in this forum, but it doesn't solve my problem. I tried to build new computer but the motherboard won't turn on at all, no power, no LED light or anything to indicate it received power. Parts: CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Motherboard : ASUS ROG STRIX B550-I GAMING AM4 RAM : Patriot Viper Steel Series Extreme Performance 32GB DDR4 @3600Mhz Case : Cooler Master MasterBox NR200 PSU : Corsair SF750 -PLATINUM- 750W Cooling : NZXT KRAKEN X63 I've tried to (with only CPU and 1 DIMM) : - Tested the Power Supply with Paper Clip (PSU Fan and other Fans spinning). - Checked 24 and 8 pin power cables to motherboard properly connected to motherboard, and also Case power button pin. - Tried to jump power button header using the end of screwdriver, and also tried to clear CMOS header. - RMA the motherboard (I just received the new one and it still has same problem, won't power on). I tried every testing method available on the internet still no luck, and I don't know how to proceed now. Can someone help me? How can I fix this? Thank you.
  17. I’ve committed the sin to make this my first build. Continued BSOD with the current system: motherboard Msi MAGx570 tomahawks Wi-Fi, cpu ryzen9 3950, gpu zotac RTX 3090, RAM Corsair vengeance lpx 32*2, PSU Corsair RM850 gold, SSD M.2 Samsung 980 PRO 1tb, Samsung 860 evo 1tb sata 2.5. Tried to fix it for the past 4 months and everything seems to point at the motherboard. I’ve decided to return it. Loads of other people seem to have the very same issue with AMD ryzen 9 processors and x570 motherboards. Can anyone with a similar built recommend me anything? What shall I do? Budget max for the motherboard 400£, recommendations welcome Many thanks
  18. Also why is my ram capped at 1600mhz, I have a rog z390-f mother board with xmp profile 2 enabled. http://speccy.piriform.com/results/nwSZzA5j0sKHUBhJkXYDmC5 and please feel free to point anything else that may be hampering my performance.
  19. Just thought I would start a TUF X570 thread where anything and everything about the mobo can be discussed, including but not confined to bios updates.
  20. Hey people The community helped me with the build of my PC. Now... whilst installing the NVMe in the top slot of my Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX V2, i screwed off the fixing down screw. This is the first time I've ever done this. So when the screw came loose and i opened the colling plate, I didn't realize that the attachment part between the screw and the mobo shouldn't come with the screw. So after installing the NVMe i noticed that the screw wouldn't go all the way back in... Now: I tried just attaching it like that (the heatpad is very adhesive, so it does stick down). Will it atill hold in place when it heatsa up though? It is somewhat wedged into the mobo... I also considered using superglue to attach the connector piece between screw and mobo down to the mount. What would you guys do? I already bios flashed the board, so I'm not sure the seller will take it back. thanks for your help peter ps: not sure if this is the right place to post this, so if a mod wants to move it, feel free...
  21. New build using the following configuration: CPU: amd 5800x GPU: Rx 6800xt Motherboard: asrock b550 extreme4 RAM: crucial ballistix 2x8gb 3200mhz Power: phanteks revolt pro 1000w gold. Currently, when booting the system, no lights for RAM, they are placed in slot 2 and 4. CPU cooler has lights and fans are spinning. GPU has lights but fans not spinning and no video outputs. The USB ports on motherboard are not working, because I tried to plug my keyboard and it doesn't light up. Also, when I tried to plug HDMI into motherboard rather than straight to GPU, it also doesn't have any video output. Finally, i've checked my power supply by using these paperclips into pin 4-5 method which got the fan to spin on the power supply. I've made sure all connections are connected properly. One wired thing I notice is that this power supply has a hybrid mode which can run fanless at lower power output, I searched around it seems it will be turned on by pressing down the hybrid button? But in my case, if I press down the power button then the power supply fans spins, if I unpress the button then the fan stops spinning, which is like the opposite of what it suppose to do. But with both on/off mode the system does the some thing. I was not able to get the RAM, GPU, USB ports to work properly. Please help, I'm out of ideas.
  22. Hi, I have an old PC that i use with Parsec on occasion when i m on the move and can't bring my gaming rig with me, i use is as a personal could gaming solution. I recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 980 founders edition to a GTX 1080 Strix and added two drives. After the operation completed, i turned on the system a first time and it worked great, then fully turned it off (not reboot). After that, tried to turn it on a second time and nothing, the system seems to enter in a wired loop, fans continuously spin (not like a bad ram loop) but the lighting on the GPU blinks, power and reset button do nothing. I can get it to post but only by changing the hardware i have in it. For example, if i turn my PC off (everything working fine) with two sticks of ram, it only posts and boots up if i remove one stick of ram. In other words, the system hardware has to change (valid for GPU and RAM) in order for it to post and boot up properly. The wired behavior: If the computer is simply rebooted (in my case Windows 10), the problem does not occur. If the system goes on full stop, a change in the hardware is the only way to get it to post and boot. (PS: all parts except the motherboard are checked and in working conditions) My suspicions : A part of the BIOS is dead and does not work right, when a part is changed or removed, the BIOS is requested to check all the hardware all over again and only when this check is run and detected everything, it has a fresh idea of that's in the system and so can boot up properly. That would mean that the memory on my BIOS is half dead ? Things done: -Bios update (Latest available F8 from 2014) -Bios reset by removing power and the small battery -CPU resettled in the socket -Change RAM -Change GPU -Remove all drives -Reinstall Windows 10 -Visual inspection on the board and cpu/cpu socket: clean-nothing different Is my motherboard just a zombie ? Can i have a second opinion from you guys ? Specs: Motherboard : Gigabyte Z87P-D3 RAM: 2x HyperX 8gb sticks and 1x 2gb Unknown working ram CPU: Intel Core I7 4770k GPU : GTX 980/ GTX 1080 PSU : EVGA 600W (100-W1-0600-K2)
  23. Hi everyone! Not sure if this is the right place to post this, let me know if its not I am planning to build a mini ITX gaming pc and i have questions about my cpu and motherboard combo I was planning to go I7 10700 with ASROCK B460-ITX AC or the H410M-ITX AC also from ASROCK because they are in stock and not that expensive (as i save my money for the GPU) My quesiton is, Wich one of these is the best choice, and, will this be enough to power my 8 cores cpu ? (are the vrms not going to explode??) If not, do you have any recommandation for Mini-itx Boards compatible with 10th gen intel cpus and that have built-in Bluetooth ? ( i dont care about wi-fi ) I can also downgrade to a 10th gen I5 if the only mobo that would run the I7 are really expensive but i really wanted a very good cpu. By the way, cpu will be cooled by a Masterliquid ML240 V2, if it matters. I hope you can understand my question trough my terrible english! (love from France), thanks you in advance for your responses!
  24. Recently installed NZXT Kraken X63 on my ASUS ROX X570 E mother board and on boot i get CPU fan error message.(AMD Ryzen 3800X) I followed all the internet fixes: 1. Check the fan ports on mother board 2. "Ignore" CPU Fan speed in Bios 3. CMOS reset 4. Remove battery None of it worked, Please help!
  25. Hello everyone, I am working on a new build and I have some questions. But first things first I will use the Ryzen 7 5700G mainly because the system will not have a discrete gpu. I do not game and it will be a linux build for development anyway. My problems start wih the motherboard and the monitors. I already have 2 dell displays one P2719HC and one P2719H both FHD. Currently they are hooked on my laptop with display port and they are chained meaning one cable goes from the laptop to the first display and a second one goes from the first display to the second. As I undrestand this is a feature supported from DP 1.2 and up. Does that mean that if the motherboard has DP 1.2 or higher it is guaranteed to support daisy chaining? Because otherwise I will have to make other agangements (probably a quadro p400 which has 3 DPs). Thanks in advance!
