I bought all new components except GPU, and my build is: Ryzen 5 3600 B450 Aorus Elite V2 2x8GB Kingston Beast 3600Mhz FSP Hydro Pro 600W MSI RX 470 Gaming X 4GB The problem first appeared when I started installing Windows where first crash appeared, DRAM light on the motherboard turned on and I got no signal on the screen while the PC seems to be running. For me to restart the PC I needed to turn on the switch on PSU and then turn on the PC. After that incident a managed to install Windows and I thought that everything is alright until the moment when I restarted the PC and booted in Windows where a couple of seconds after logging in PC crashed again with the same DRAM light. At that point, I started searching on internet the what is causing the problem. I remove the RAM stick and try every possible orientation and I was still getting the sem crash with the DRAM light. I did not turn on XMP. I tried also fleshing the BIOS and still nothing. When I am in BIOS the PC doesn't crash no matter how long is PC running. The next thing that I tried is to use RAM and GPU from a friend which did not help also, BUT when I put his CPU (Ryzen 5 1600) with all my parts the PC stopped crashing and I was able to reinstall Windows with no problem( which I taught is maybe causing the problem). After reinstallation, I put back my CPU and the PC crashed again. For the problem to be more confusing when I put my CPU in his build which is I think Asus Prime a320, 2x4gb 2400mhz with some Cooler Master 500w, there are no crashes. At that point, I didn't know what to do and I thought that for some reason my CPU is faulty so I sent it back to the store for reclamation and they approved it and I got a new CPU which also crashed. At that point a started locking at CPU voltage in BIOS. I lovered CPU Vcor and VCOR SOC -0.1V, after which PC started working normally, until sometimes when it crashes again but now less occasionally. What can be causing this problem so I can replace that part because I have a guarantee, any help? After all that I thought, that it is due to the BIOS version, and then I installed the latest which is F65a (my previous was F64). Yesterday tried to dynamically lower the voltage -0.15V and PC still crashed after a couple of BOOTs

Gigabyte z790 aorus pro x white. Paired with intel 15 13600k. The hdmi works but the DisplayPort on the motherboard doesn't seem to show any display. I am currently using 4 screens in my set up. A small one in my pc, my 49 inch g9, and two other 1080p screens. I want to use the display port for one of the 1080p monitors and the hdmi on the motherboard for the small pc screen whilst the other two main screens which i will be using for gaming is plugged into the gpu. Now i am able to run all 4 screens with the small pc screen using the motherboard hdmi but i paid £400 for my motherboard. I sure as hell want everything working even if i wont use it. I want to know whether i got a faulty one with a botched dp or whether im missing something. Rest of the specs are ddr5 t force 32gb (2x16) running at 6000mhz. RTX 4070ti. 1000w corsair rmx psu.

I have read that DDR5 modules incorporate on-board voltage regulators in order to reach higher speeds. So, I expected motherboards to no include VRMs for RAM, unlike previous generation (eg: DDR4 and below). Eg: 8+2 indicates 8 phases for CPU and 2 phases for RAM. This does not seems to be the case. For example : So unless it's used for something else it seems VRM are still used for RAM (eg: 2x8+2) Or maybe voltage regulators on DDR5 are optional, so motherboard manufacturer include RAM VRMs, just in case ? Furthermore, the high end motherboards seems to use 3 types of VRMs : 2x10+2+2. What is it like that ? (it's probably not DDR5 specific)

Hello. I have an ROG Maximus VIII Hero motherboard, Intel core i7 6700k 4.00GHz CPU, ROG strix GTX 1080 GPU, 64GB RAM, and 80plus platinum 1600 watt power supply. I am looking for advice on what to upgrade so that I can stream and play games at the same time. I can do it on some games, but the ones I want to stream and play like Overwatch and COD keep crashing or lagging out. I have a budget of only $1,000.00 USD and I'm not sure what I can do.

boot device not found No bootable devices found
ArtHav0 posted a topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Hi, so i just upgrdaded my cpu and motherboard to a gigabyte b660 gaming x ddr4 and the Intel i5-12400. I reused my old drives, its one m.2 from samsung and to sata ssds. I use the m.2 ass the boot drive. The problem is that in the Boot squense tab in the BIOS it says "No bootable devices found" But it recognises my m.2 drive and my sata drives when i look at whats connected. The reason i upgraded was because my psu and motherboard died just recently. Could it also have killed my ssd? Anyone know how to fix it? If you need more information just ask. -
Sup, So I'm done assembling my PC: I7 11700k - water cooled RTX 3070Ti DIMM 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 IRDM PRO 3600Mhz - GOODRAM SSD 970 EVO PLUS 1TB ATX AZZA PSAZ-850G 850W, 80+ GOLD So my problem is I got the ATX Z590 D, my friend is telling me to upgrade to the Z590 UD AC as its not much more expensive and I can return the Z590 D but it will be a pain in the ass to do so. I don't really see the reason to upgrade. I will not be able to utilize faster internet connection , Two M.2 slots are enough for me. He said the UD AC has better power delivery and thermal guard for SSD. I will only game on it so I don't really see if the upgrade is a good idea. I can also buy a thermal guard from the internet Thanks for helping!

So About a week or two ago, I realized My computer booted straight up to windows, No bios, no boot logo, nothing. Also I realized the time was keep resetting after I turn off my computer, so I took out the CMOS battery and tested it, and it still has a pretty good charge on it. So my question is why in the world is my computer showing signs of a dead CMOS, when it really isn't dead??? Please help some one xP

I recently Upgraded my CPU to 5900X replacing the 2700x Setup: MB: ASUS x470 Pro RAM: 64 GB Noctua D15 Cooler NZXT C750 PSU Now I am left with the 2700x CPU, and I want to build a system for my son, that he can use for his college. So the Question: What MB can I buy today that can support the 2700x and also maybe the 3000 or even the 5000 series for when he can buy the CPU and upgrade himself... I can buy the ASUS X470 again, but that is coming to be around $199, and I know there have to be some better options. He would be using the PC for school work and gaming.

So Ive recently took apart my computer and put it back together. Why? I was going to change cases lol. Anyways the USBs and Graphics card aren't working, but the Cpu fans and case fans are working. Along with the rgb lights. Could there be specific reasons for this? Edit: the graphics card spins for a bit but still displays nothing. Hello there. I'll start apologizing for bad English, but I hope someone can help me. The issue is long so please if you want to help read carefully, I'll try to reply ASAP. First things first, my scenario consists of 2 desktops, which I call PC1 and PC2, with the following specs. PC1: Processor: Intel core i5 750 @ 2.66GHz. Memory: 2x 2GB DIMM DDR3 Power supply: A generic one not labeled; OR EVGA 430W 100-W1-0430-KR GPU: GeForce 8600 GT, 256mb; OR Geforce 8400 GS, 256mb; OR GeForce GT 730 1GB MotherBoard: Gigabyte, can't remember the model, but was a simple micro-ATX PC2: Processor: Intel core i3 2100 @ 3.10GHz Memory: 2x 2GB DIMM DDR3 (the same ones from PC1) Power supply: EVGA 430W 100-W1-0430-KR (same from PC1) GPU: GeForce 450 GTS, 1GB; OR Geforce 8400 GS, 256mb (same from PC1) Motherboard: mw-h61h2-m2 With the above info, let me explain my issue. I'll separe things by time periods. PC1, usage from early 2012 to January 2018 Back in 2014 (quite a long time) the fan of my GeForce 8600 GT stopped spinning, so It obviously started to run hot, but I realized that in time and replaced that with a old 8400GS. I used this 8400 GS for like 3 months. By that time I saved some money and bought a GeForce GT 730. Everything went fine for like 1~2 months, when my old LCD monitor (let's call M1) slowly stopped to display image then it finally died. So I replaced for a old CRT (monitor M2) one ( hell yeah), so after 1 week I replaced with a new (although used) LCD one (monitor M3). But nothing was easy on the year of 2015, then one day I turned my pc on and it did three long beeps, meaning video error by the motherboard manual. So my like 3 months of usage GeForce GT 730 "JUST DIED", because I could run normally with the old 8600GT and the 8400GS. Then I kept the pc running with the 8400GS. Then, a few days after the GT 730 died, the fan of the 8400GS wasn't spinning and it kept for 15 minutes or so (at 100º) , and then it just started spinning. This weird thing kept happening everyday only on the first pc startup. But gaming on a 8400GS is painfull so I tried to plug my GT 730,and guess what? IT JUST WORKED. But for only 1 day, the next day on the first startup the same three long beep error. So I swapped back to the 8400 GS and it runs fine. A few weeks, I tried something "weird", after waiting for the 8400GS fan to start spinning I swapped to the GT 730 and guess what again? IT WORKED. This made me think that my PSU (the non-labeled one) was faulty, so I bought a EVGA 430W 100-W1-0430-KR. But the same problems kept happening. Than I learned something even more weird, everyday on the first startup I just left the PC1 "dead" for 5 minutes, then I just press the reset and "voila" it works. BUT nothing last forever and the GT 730 present the error code 43 on windows, and after a few pc restarts it just crashed forever. Then I kept with the 8400GS for like 1 year, making me think that the problem was my motherboard. or some weird eletrical problem on my residence. I moved up in 2017 and the error kept hapenning. Then at January 2018 my cousin asked me to play some online game with him, but I could not because my 8400GS could not run the game. So I explained him all the previous situation. He said "no big deal" I have a spare GeForce 450 GTS. When we pluged that on PC1 it didn't showed video. The he said "no big deal" I have a spare core i3 2100 and it's motherboard, and that was when PC2 shows up. January 2018~present When he brought the PC2 I thought "THIS HELL WILL BE OVER NOW". Then we moved my old the RAM from PC1 and the PSU (EVGA) from PC1. Everything went well, but for 1 day. The next morning the PC2 booted normaly, but windows was constantly having a "driver stopped responding error", so I could not play anything, not even browse the web. I thought maybe, but just MAYBE the HDD of PC2 is screwed, so I replaced with the HDD of PC1. It kept screwed. So I told my cousin to take his PC back because it was broken. The next day before he coming to take PC2 back I tried to power it up, and guess what? IT WORKED FINE as if nothing had ever happened. But after every restart it acted like the PC1, dead for 5 minutes then I reset and it worked fine. Well I lived with it for like 2 years. The 2 days ago the GTS 450 started to present some strange artifacts, so I said screw it I'll use the integrated graphics of my i3 2100. BUT, today, yeah my friends... I had to restart my PC and now it just died I can get video, but my HDD isn't dysplayed on bios, sometimes the entire pc freeze. Some extra things. The case from PC1 isn't the same from PC2. For over 4 years I have one strange thermal problem, my processor (i5 750 and i3 2100) runs for like 55º on idle and can reach much higher temps on gaming. For the last 2 years my i3 had to run on 50% of it's capacity for not overheat. We exchanged the thermal paste like 3 times and no success. My thoughts are on my EVGA PSU, but the issues began before I bought it. I used to use a no-break on my pc, but I am not using it anymore (the no-break was my second thought). The last one is my LCD monitor that MAYBE, but MAYBE is killing every graphics unit connected to it. The RAM memory? I don't know if RAM can crash an entire system. I have a new PC, a ryzen 5 with diferent RAM, SSD and a new case, but I'm not going to assemble it before I solve this issue, and now my HDD is probably dead. I really, really need some help here with this bizarre "curse" on me.

So I finally upgraded my cpu and motherboard and got an NVME ssd. I wanted to clone my 256gb boot ssd to the new 1tb NVME so I can swap the 256gb for another 1tb ssd in the future. I used Macrium Reflect and it seemed to work fine, all the same files were showing up on the new drive but it won't boot when I change the boot order in the bios. It will start booting and get past the motherboard logo and the windows logo but after that the screen goes dark and nothing else happens. One time it came up with a screen about troubleshooting windows not saving properly. I tried updating the bios but that didn't help, not sure what else I should try. Should I try out a paid cloning software like Acronis? The motherboard supports NVME boot drives and supports this NVME ssd so I don't assume it's an issue with the ssd but I still have time to return it and get a different one if that's a good idea. AMD Ryzen 5 3600, Asrock B550M-ITX/AC, Samsung 860 QVO 250GB (Old boot drive), WD Blue SN550 1TB (New boot drive)

So I recently bought a second m.2 drive which I was going to clone with my main drive because it's running out of space, but when i tried to plug it into the second m.2 slot it didn't show up so i swapped the drive positions and now the new drive shows but not my original boot. Long story short I can't get the second slot to work is there anything I can do? The mother board is the MSI MPG B550 gaming plus the boot drive is Crucial_CT525MX300SSD4 and the new drive is a Samsung 980 pro

I have had this issue basically since I got the motherboard, it worked for a week and started doing as the title says and hasn't stopped I looked on heaps of forums but count find anything about my problem as all the things I found were about the computer not posting and the fan stopping when it doesn't post at all I currently have the CPU fan (Wraith Prism cooler) plugged into the CPU OPT fan header and that works just fine but even with a different fan that works in other headers (it is currently plugged into the CPU header) it still spins when I power on the PC but turns off just before the beep from a successful post. the motherboard is out of Warranty and there is physically nothing wrong with the PC (and the motherboard) and was wondering if anyone has had the same issue and has any solutions any help is appreciated!

Need help, have this super weird issue. Thought my SSD (M2) was dead, so bought a new one and went to plug in and didn't show up in bios or windows (even in diskpart). Tried both M2 slot, and ended with SSD in both slots Not listed in bios, or diskpart Reset BIOS > Enabled Launch CSM So here's the weird part. When running GParted (live linux distro) - I can see both SSD, able to partition them, reformat etc, tried a few combo of NTFS & boot flag and nothing. Can't even get it to show in diskpart of windows ubs installer. MB: ROG STRIX B660-I GAMING WIFI BIOS: 1620 PC: 13600KF, 32GB DDR5, 3070ti SSD's: 980 Pro & another M2 in second slot.
