So my monitor just randomly went black and then it changed resolution to something very low. When i try to change the resolution in Nvidia Control panel the monitor just shows up as Nvidia Digital Display? After some googling I only found that my EDID file could be corrupt? I don`t know waht it is or how i really should fix it. Any ideas? Then a reply would be appreciated! THX! PS: Forget the different language in the photo.

Hello I would be glad if some one can help me with this problem is baffling me. my friend is moving out of town so he gave me his monitor which is a samgsung 22inch model no - s22c170b . its a full hd monitor . the monitor comes with a standard dsub cable so my friend used to use that in his 730 gt which has a dsub port. the monitor has a dvi i and rgb port i dont know if rgb is the same as dsub or not , it connects with the same chord so i guess its same . but when i got it from my friend i plugged it in my 7750 with hdmi to vga converter because it dosnt have vga output which i have been using in my asus vp247h which has been working fine but the Samsung one turns on shows bios screen and windows icon screen then after that shows analog sign in the top left of the screen and a vibrating mouse sign appears with 5 blue dots under after some time the monitor goes black . if i press the monitor menu button the same thing happens. the pc is ok cuz its boot to windows fine on the asus one . when i restart the pc using restart button on the cpu the monitor still doesn't work i have to full shut down the pc with holding the power down for 10 sec or psu of button . if I then start the pc again the same thing happens . the weird thing is its boots fine to safe mode i dont understand why. I would be very thank full if some can help me .

Things to know: - Monitor works on the office computer but not on my computer. - Once I unplugged the VGA cable out of the computer, the monitor stated that the cable wasn't in. So that means its being recognized but its not showing the output. - CPU/APU doesn't have any broken or bent pegs (or whatever its called). - CPU doesn't have a GPU integrated with it. Its an 'A Series' $50 dollar CPU. - GPU is brand new. Its GTX 950 (I have a budget build), I barely used it. - GPU needs a minimum of a 350 Watt power supply. Total power draw from the GPU is 125 Watts. While I have a 550 Watt power supply. So PSU didn't a problem. - GPU has put in properly (I heard the proper snap sound), and doesn't look damaged. - I put the GPU into a different PCI Slot and signal doesn't show. - RAM has put in properly (I heard the proper snap sound), and doesn't look damaged. - I tried different DDR3 Slots 1 & 3 and 2 & 4. - I tried putting in switching/replacing the RAM with different RAM and signal doesn't show. - I tried VGA and DVI cables within both the GPU and Motherboard. - I tried only one piece of RAM and signal still doesn't show. - I tried plugging the computer and monitor into the wall socket itself and without the power surge protector and signal still doesn't show. - I tried plugging both the VGA (one from the Office computer thats for the monitor) and DVI cable in at the same time to see if any monitor signal pops up... signal doesn't show. - All metal posts that I have are being used for the motherboard. - All fans, lights, CPU fans, GPU fans turn on, and mouse led light turns on (keyboard led light doesn't turn on due to the fact that it needs to install a driver... which I can't). - I have used an extra keyboard to see if the 'caps/num/scroll lock keys' turns on the three lights on the keyboard, in which they do NOT turn on. I recently bought a new motherboard due to the fact that my old motherboard SATA connectors where blocked off when I put the GPU in, and then my first one that I had a defective CPU retainer. My new motherboard now is a GIGABYTE F2A88XM-D3H and when I turn the computer on the monitor says 'No Signal'. I feel like something is missing but everything has been put in properly. Could it be a PSU problem? The PSU is old maybe around 4 - 5 years old that and the case are the two things that I didn't buy. I just had them laid around the house for awhile due to the fact that I was building this PC and in the end save money. I have been at this computer build since November and I still can't get this to work properly. Basically at this point in time I ran through 2 MSI Motherboards, and 1 GIGABYTE Motherboard. Why does everything bad happen to me? ----- Edit / Found Problem - Problem: #1 I may have found the problem: http://i.imgur.com/1ezuCP2.jpg (8 pin connected to motherboard, but 4 pin is not) I might need to buy a new PSU so it can support the 8 pin and 4 pin.

Recently I attached a Dell UP2414Q 4k monitor via displayport to my new computer. I have then come across these errors with no of knowing how to fix them. Those are pictures of the errors that are occuring during my use. I have updated all Dell and Nvidia drivers. I have tried connecting my computer to a different UP2414Q i own and got the same result. I replaced my graphics card and got the same result. I also tried 3 different cables and got the same results which to me means its a driver/software issue. If anyone can direct me in the right way to solve this I am happy to take and try all suggestions. I also am running windows 10 64-bit and a MSI GTX 980 TI. Here are more photos after changing to my other PCIE slot X8 more suggestions are always welcome!

Hi LTT community (This is mt first post so please go easy on me) So I bought this acer GN246HL gaming monitor and I CAN'T get it to do 120hz to save my life. I am not using DVI because I have a laptop, however I'm using hdmi which I know supports 120hz 1080p (Hdmi 1.4b) The laptop I'm using is A lenovo y500 GT650m model Anyone know how I can fix my problem, I have the correct Hdmi cable and I am 99% sure my laptop has Hdmi 1.4b compatibility. Tried everything I know to get the panel to run at 120hz and I can't! HALP!!!!!

Hi there I recently found one of my old monitors and I wanted to hook it up to my system just to have a little extra room for windows. The monitor in question is a Hyundai L72S, I think it was released in 2007 and it has 1 VGA input. I had a vga to DVI-I sitting around so I hooked it up to my hd7970 and started my system up. Here is where things get weird, when I booted my system up the monitor worked and displayed the starting windows screen (exactly the same as my main monitor). But as soon as it got past the screen it just said "VIDEO MODE NOT SUPPORTED" and no matter how much I fiddled with it in control panel I can't get it to work. Does anyone have any ideas as to why it's doing this?
