Hello, I've recently switched to 144hz refresh rate and the monitor started flickering. Horizontal lines keep poping out every now and then. Same with 120hz refreshrate. I tried using this custom resolution utility but it doesn't work for me. There is no 3440x1440 p resolution offered in the "Standard resolutions" nor can I add it. Additionally, I can't add refresh rate to "Detailed resolutions" higher than 122 hz. Nevertheless, the flickering is there even with 120hz, which is super anoying. While browsing, watching movies etc it's fine with 50hz, no big deal. But while playing games it's a huge difference. And imediatelly after I swtich to higher than 50hz the flickers are there. And yes, driver is up to date.... Monitor is : Xiaomi Mi 34.0" 3440 x 1440 144 Hz Curved Monitor Any help here is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I currently have two Acer 24 inch 1080p monitors. I noticed that one of the monitors had this screen flickering issue (but not the second one). I just sent the monitor back to the manufacturer after trying the usual tests (using DDU to remove graphics drivers and reinstall, swapping cables, resetting monitor settings, etc.) as it was under warranty. Now the second monitor seems to have issues and I'm not sure now if it is the monitor or the graphics card or another part of my PC. Obviously I don't want to send anything back to the manufactures as I wont have a computer to use in the mean time but I have no idea how to test what the issue is. I dont have another computer to connect the monitor to (at least not one that can use display port to test it under the proper refresh rate). I'm not sure how or why but it does seem to be related to 3D rendering or activates when the GPU is doing more work. I attached a video of it happening immediately after I opened a game and alt-tabbed back here. It shows up in the video, but not as bad as it happens in real life. Hello! Since i got so much help last time when I asked about my thermals I tought I might try again with a different issue. So i have 3 monitors hooked up to a 3060Ti (I bought it trough a prebuilt which I then custom rebuilt) and one of my monitors seems to be having this abnormal issue. When i built my new setup a couple of months ago everything seemes to be working without issues. My neighbord reached out and said he had a monitor for sale which he offered a really nice "friend price" on for about 85 dollars. it's a MSI Optix G24C4 and i tought that would look great as 3rd monitor cus i wanted to use one of my previus old monitors for a second setup for when I have friends around. But it seems to have this issue where it flickers on and off sometimes. it's most commonly happening when i'm playing a video on any of my other monitors or when i'm playing games on the faulty monitor and it's only happening on that one. And iv'e tried everything The DP cable was bought the same day i got the monitor so that's very unlikely to be the issue. ive tried reinstalling bios, removing the cmos battery, reinstalling drivers, updating drivers, restarting the monitor or just see if there is any loosenes in the connection or power cable but nothing, So i reached out to my neighbor and he said he had no issues with the monitor before giving it to me and I did confirm that at his place. He is also a bit of a tech guike and he said windows really dosen't like more than one monitor being connected especially not on different connections. I have 2 connected with dp and one with hdmi. 2 of them running at 144hz and the hdmi at 60hz (the 60 is an old monitor so it is running dvi to hdmi. Any help is apriciated ps: I had the same kind of setup running before where i had my main monitor (acer kg251q) and 2 extra monitors running a 1060 system with no issues. I was running it the same way, dvi to hdmi and main with dp. I was running on win 10 and i'm now running on win 11 home

So let me give the full story of when this began. So I got this monitor before I got the GPU, but this monitor is BRAND NEW, as is the DisplayPort cable that came with it unless ASUS is unknowingly giving us refurbed cables with new monitors. So I used this monitor with my GTX 1650 Super, same DP cable, with G-Sync turned on and I never had this issue, at all. Not one flicker at all. So I just recently upgraded to a 2060, there is nothing wrong with the GPU, I've benchmarked it to the cows come home. Monitor is a curved 1080p 165hz 27" monitor Freesync/G-Sync Compatible However, using the exact same DP cable and the same monitor with the 2060 causes flicker sometimes. I am SURE this isn't a hardware issue, as I can repeat this issue to no end. One way I know to trigger it everytime is after I put my PC to sleep, not Shut Down, sleep specifically. After I wake the PC up, it's all good, but if I move a browser window with a video playing on it from my second monitor [Dell SE2719HR 1080p 75hz] to the main monitor [The ASUS] My screen will flicker as if the monitor is disconnecting, but it isn't as there is no disconnect sound and the PC goes along as if nothing is going on. The second monitor keeps running fine, no issues at all. The second Dell monitor is plugged in via HDMI cable, I believe if it was the DP port on the GPU [hardware issue] I wouldn't be able to repeat this issue so reliably, as hardware issues are typically extremely random and you struggle to recreate them 99% of the time, in problems like this anyhow, to my knowledge anyway. I've tried DDU, wiped the 2060, fresh install of the newest driver and Geforce Experience. I've tried limiting my monitor's hz to 160, 5hz below it's max at 165hz, as I've seen people saying both FPS limits and custom resolutions can help, well they didn't. So the ONLY thing I haven't tried, is a new DisplayPort cable. I've seen reports of people having this issue with "out of box" cables that come with monitors, they get a 1.4 VESA certified DP cable and it fixed it. I just got a 1.4 VESA certified one on Amazon, I will update this post tomorrow when I get it if this fixes my problem. As far as I know, previous versions of DP cables work with eachother, but it could be that the port on the 2060 is a 1.4 port, but the cable and the port on the monitor is a 1.2. If anybody had this issue and fixed it for good PLEASE let me know what you did, this is driving me mad. What I mean by flicker too isn't the subtle brightness flicker but I do get that sometimes too. I mean the monitor is literally going completely black for a few seconds. I'm at a loss for words if this new cable don't fix it, I will give up on Gsync for the time being probably as this is insane. If only Nvidia would stop being greedy and let us use Gsync via ALL FHD ports on the GPU, be it HDMI or DP. Full system specs below. Hi, I have an old VGA monitor 1280x1024 which im using with a Radeon 7850. The videocard does not have a VGA port, so i am using a VGA to Dvi adapter for the last 5 years. Lately i can see the screen flickering when playing games only. The flickering can be seen in the darker colors. I've read a lot about the same problem in other people but dont know what to do. Help would be appreaciated

Hello everyone. I've got this weird problem with my monitor. It's an 'old' monitor but it still holds up (up to this point it seems). After I upgraded my motherboard recently (to an Asus P8H77-V LE) and the PSU (to a Corsair CS 650M) I'm having some issues with my VGA LG 22 inch monitor (1920x1080). I had this monitor for about 5-6 years, never had any problems with it. The issue is whenever I enter a game (BF4, GTAV, etc) the monitor starts to flicker like an old TV would if there is any Interference of some sort... if that makes sense. The flicker is horizontal and blinks real fast, it's very noticeable, you can't really play these games like this... The thing is, if I turn on the Vsync, it gets way better but still noticeable. If I alt-tab the game the interference is still present on desktop, internet browser etc. Only after I exit the game completely the interference stops. It's not the video card (at least the HDMI port) because I have an LED TV Philips (1920x1080) 37 Inch via the HDMI port which looks Cristal clear while the monitors is flickering like hell. The LG monitor is hooked up via the DVI-I port with a VGA to DVI-I adapter. I know its ancient and analog and I should change it... but till then, is there any solution to this? In screen resolution options, the monitor is set tu 60hz, as well in BF4 and GTAV. I never had this problem before I upgraded the motherboard and the PSU. Any ideas? Hello and thanks for checking this out My monitor has recently started acting strange, sometimes when I open a webpage, the monitor gets crazy, it starts flickering. Last time it went bananas, the screen had grey lines all over the place, and stuff like that. What is the thing causing this problem? And what can I do about it? -Crafting

I use a dell s2440L-4 monitor hooked up to a pny gtx 960 via a generic black hdmi cable. I also use nvidia digital audio to plug my headphones into 3mm headphone jack on my monitor. Its fine for most of the time but it occasionaly goes blank for a few seconds and the audio cuts out, not a big problem. But whenever I try to watch movies which are still on there disk/netflix I get all kinds of flickering and audio popping and the monitor blacks out and occasionaly I have to restart my pc to get it to come back on. Nvidia control panel says my graphics card and monitor are both HDCP compatible and ive tried this monitor with other computers and had the same problem. Also incase it matters I live in canada. Please help I need to finish the office and this is driving me crazy
