I'm considering to buy this monitor for daily productivity (mainly programming) use. I would like to hear opinions from other people who have this monitor, or other 34" ultrasharp series. I've been looking on reviews but couldn't find more than few that were not so much useful. The only con I see so far is that it has 60Hz refresh rate. I would personally like to have more because it is better for your eyes if you sit 8h a day in front of it, but since I'm not gaming this should be good also. How is the text quality and sharpness, is it sharp enough and good for reading, coding whole day. Are there any problems that I should be aware of? I've found it for pretty reasonable price (550€). Feel free to type your experiences

I already have a 1080p 240hz tn panel, so for competitive games I am still covered. I am going to get to some arm mounts to have this as my second screen. I want it primarily for single player sight seeing games. Also games like Genshin and Fallout 4 only support 60FPS anyways so my 2080 super should be enough. What I am looking for: Size no larger than 28 inches as my other monitor is 24.5 inch and not smaller than 24. High bit depth, or really I just want as little color banding in game as possible, seriously color banding drives me crazy so if anyone has suggestions about that let me know. I want the response times to be decent, doesn't have to be the fastest thing since I already have a monitor for that, but I just don't want extra smeary pixels. Good color, brightness, and at least 120Hz as going from 240hz to 60 just doesn't feel right.

Hello, This just happened randomly few hours ago: on my AOC monitor, a white horizontal line appeared that goes to about middle of screen and then fades off. Also, the rest of image seems just a bit off, like at a glance seems normal but looking at a text it seems a bit choppy, like resolution is a bit off. Makes my eyes hurt trying to read text. I've tried the following: Different inputs (HDMI, DP) Different PC (and a laptop) Reset monitor Turn on and off (including pulling the power) Change refresh rate (lower refresh rate seems to make image quality somehow worse?!) Update drivers Nothing works, is there some wierd voodoo I can still try or do I start looking for a new monitor? Any help is appreciated

Hello, i have being using my msi with hdmi for the last couple of months with no problems whatsoever, today i upgraded to a gtx 1660 ( from a 970 ) and so i wanted to use the gsync compatibility that comes with this monitor, i bought a display port cable and when i plugged it, the screen kept flickering/going black from time to time, When i turned down the Refresh rate from 144hz to 75Hz the flickering stopped completely ( i tried turning gsync off and it changed nothing) thanks in advance

I'm currently looking at the Asus VP32UQ and trying to get some opinions. It's been difficult to find any reviews online (which is a bit of a red flag). If there are other recommendations, I'm looking for a good larger 4K IPS display (60hz is fine for me). Thanks!

Ok so to lead off, The games I am trying to play do work on my desktop so will run on Win10 (some with a little tinkering) but I have a Dell G7 laptop with both an iGPU and RTX 2070. I want to have some older games installed that I know run well on the iGPU due to anything that tries to use the 2070 on battery makes the it's i7 power throttle to the point a Pentium 3 could out run it with a giggle and light jog... The major problem I am running into is a lot of old games like Mercenaries 2 and KOTOR 1 etc have major issues on any monitor with a refresh rate higher the 60hz. Which can range from texture and game play bugs, Up too just outright failing to launch. And thanks to Dell's shortsighted hardware engineering the monitor's rate can't be changed and is effectively locked at 144hz. So I am looking for ideas and other workarounds that might help with games that have said problem and no per-game way to fix it (I.E. no fan patch or mod files for a given game)

Hi all, I’ve recently bought a second monitor for my setup and I was going to buy some speakers for it just like my main one. My question is: is there any way for the audio that’s ‘displayed’ on a monitor to come through their respective speakers? So if I have YouTube open on my second monitor, I’d want the audio coming from the speakers plugged into that monitor and if I had Minecraft open on my main monitor, I’d want the audio being outputted through those speakers. It’s a bit difficult for me to explain but I’m just trying to get audio coming from the direction the monitors are facing - as if the sound is coming from the monitor itself rather than just all the sound being outputted through the one pair of speakers. Does this make any sense? XD Please ask if you need to know anything else, and good luck trying to decipher all of that! Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone! I've got an issue with my monitor: it leaves a ghost image of what was previously on the screen for a period of time. Since I'm studying for exams at the moment, I leave PDFs on the screen constantly for long periods of time. When I change the screen to a dark-grey colour, it shows a lighter grey outlining where the PDF was. Fortunately, it slowly fades away when I play a video or game. The monitor is relatively new - 3 to 4 months ago - but I'm concerned if the ghost image will one day become permanent. I have HDR on auto and I was wondering if HDR causes it? I don't know much about this so I hope that someone could help me on the matter. If it's some other reason, please suggest something that I could to to stop it. Thanks in advance. For anyone wondering, the monitor is the Acer Nitro XV240YP.

Hey, any recommendations on monitor that less than 24", Full HD, preferably IPS, with HDMI, Vesa 100x100 and turns on quickly enough without obnoxious bright blue fullscreen when motion is turns on or looses signal? UPD: I've found Acer Nitro VG240Y, is it a good one for replacement of Asus VE228H? Old info: Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am experiencing weird ress thing when I choose full screen windowed mode(FSW) in Valorant. I cant find out whats wrong. Every other game I run in FSW works fine. Basically, picture from main monitor is stretching over to the other monitor. Does anyone know if this is a thing within the game out side of my reach? Or are my settings f***ed? Check out the screenshot. Im running GTX 1080ti, connected to main monitor 1440p 165hz with a DP. Second monitor is classic 1080p 60hz connected with hdmi to same gpu.

Hi All, I originally had a XL2411 (144hz 1080p 1ms) and a RL2455HM (60hz 1080p 1ms) set of monitors but upgrading to a GTX1080Ti meant the XL2411 couldn't have 144hz as it was DVI-D. So I bought a XL2411P for the DP but now I'm stuck with 3 monitors. I don't have space to run all three together so which one should I get rid of? RL2455HM seems the worst in my eyes but is going for similar prices on ebay as the XL2411. Alternatively, is it worth getting a better second monitor and selling both the XL2411 and the RL2455HM? If so, any suggestions on what to go for ie QHD/4k/IPS etc. Thanks in advance all

Hi, I have 3 Lenovo 1440p monitors. Two of my monitors are using display cables while one one of them are using HDMI (HDMI is main monitor that does not flicker. I'm using it as a main because of that issue). I have an issue where the display cable monitors are flickering during PUBG (only PUBG no other game). I typically use the two monitors for discord and youtube. However this just gets annoying seeing a constant flicker left and right. I play PUBG at high settings at 1440p. I've adjusted the graphics down to 1080p at very low settings I've got not where. My GPU driver is uptodate. Do any of you guys got any idea or solutions? P.S. I'm not using any adapters and all the cables support up to 4k My PC build is below Case: NZXT Phantom Green CPU: AMD FX-8320 Graphics Card: Radeon RX 580 8GB RAM: G.Skill 16GB DDR3 1600 Motherboard: MSI-970A-G43 PSU: Evga 850 B3 Storage: 7200 RPM 3.5 TB (Raid 0) Sandisk 120 GB SSD Sandisk 240 GB SSD Gaming Setup: Monitors: 3 Lenovo 23.8'' Monitors 60hz ( 2560×1440) Keyboard: Razer Chroma (2016) Mouse: UtechSmart Venus 16400 DPI mouse Headset: Logitech G230 (Sorry if this isnt the right section I just assumed this would be a good spot for this thread)

why do we don't use LED tv as a monitor
-
Hello, I've already contacted a couple of people regarding this issue, and so far no solution. I currently am using a Samsung 6 series 4k TV as a secondary display. When I have the TV (and turned on/and off) plugged in via HDMI It causes screen refreshes every 15 minutes to an hour on both the primary display and secondary display. It has even caused my game to crash/freeze. Also, when I have the TV plugged in but powered off, my primary monitor wont power off, the back light on the monitor will just stay on, like its still reviving a signal from the video card. I really would like to get a solution to this problem as for the business I do I need the second bigger screen. So far I've been told: 1. The refresh rate of the TV (60hz) and the refresh rate of the monitor (100hz) is causing the issue, however, I run another setup which I use a 144hz and a 60hz displays without issue. 2. The different resolutions 3440x1440(monitor) and 3840x2160(TV) will not work together, however, my other setup is a 144hz 2160x1080 display and a 3840x2160 60hz display as well, and I've had no issues there. 3. The monitor and TV just don't work together, however, on my other setup I'm using the EXACT same TV but different monitor and not experienced any issues. What I've tried 1. updating graphic drivers 2. clean install of graphic drivers 3. check if windows was up to date 4 switched orientation of connections on video card *primary monitor is a PG348Q* Thanks for any help!

I bought the iiyama G-Master GB2760QSU B1 a week ago. When i play games with v-sync turned on, the steam counter stays at 60fps with a few spikes to 100+ fps that dont even last 1 second. I have tested it on multiple games like gta 5 and wreckfest. with out v-sync i get around 170fps in gta 5, and 300fps in wreckfest. I need to play gta 5 with v-sync turned on, with it turned off i do get tiny lagg spikes. a fresh install on a ssd didnt help. (other games dont have this problem) Nvidia control panel says 144hz and the monitor it self has free-sync turned on. If i turn on G-Sync it just hurst my eyes and it stays on 60fps. Does anyone know why v-sync keeps it at 60 fps. All drivers are the newest version, i tried it with older drivers but it didnt seem to help. PC specs are: 32GB ram 3200mz i7 8700k 4,6hz 1080ti Any help would be much appreciated
