I'm moving on from my HyperX Clouds (which disappointed me) to either the SE215s or the Momentum "In-Ears" (I say "In-Ears" because I think that they recently received a name change) but it's a lot of trouble to decide between them. First off, the sound. I listen to a wide variety of genres so picking one would be hard but I guess you could say I listen to more "energy boosting" songs... I'll just list a few examples: Alchemy by Mint Potion, a Rhythm and Blues song I'm fond of. Red Like Roses II by Jeff Williams and Reluctant Heroes by Hiroyuki Sawano (Covered by NateWantsToBattle), two, I suppose, rock songs I listen to on a frequent basis. Asgore by Toby Fox (Covered by Lollia), it's an "orchestral arrange"... Neon by Jeff Williams, it's a pretty... smooth song... I should've run a quick crash course on genres... Secondly, the build quality. I really don't care about the best kind of comfort, I'm sure both IEMs are reasonably comfortable to keep wearing for hours but what I'm really concerned about is the durability. Sure, the SE215s have detachable cables but I'm not in the luxurious position to order replacements in case they break. Which is the IEM that can survive a beatdown from an average person for more than 2 years That would be all, just wanna say this again: I really didn't like the HyperX Clouds, they're a wasted investment for me, it was most probably due to the lack of an AMP from my side but I'm the kind of guy who listens to music on his phone as well as his laptop, not just his desktop. Carrying an AMP around shouldn't have to be the way to roll when I want to listen to music. So all in all or... TL;DR: Should I buy the Shure SE215s or Sennheiser Momentum "In-Ears"
-
Sennheiser Momentum "In-Ears" or Shure SE215s Planning on using the earbuds for more than 2 years. Not at all going to buy replacement parts (obsoleting the removable cables feature of the SE215s). I'm going to frequently stuff the earbuds in my pant's pocket, consequently pull them out frequently, putting a lot of strain on the cable. Taking all those things into mind, which is more likely to survive a longer time?

Hello humans, I´m looking for someone who has tried both earphones, or someone who knows a lot about it so can help me to decide which one buy. Im more into sennheiser than any other brand, right now I use the HD558 at home and I love it. So the thing is I was going to buy the momentum just because it is sennheiser and it has good reviews, but then I found the SE215, which for me...looks much better when you are using it, also looks more comfortable, but in terms of sound, which one is better? my playlist is 90% rock, so no electro, rap, or anything like that. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.

Hi guys, I currently have a pair of V Moda XS on-ear headphones. I'm looking to upgrade to a more comfortable pair of over-ears and was wondering if the M-100s are worth it as an upgrade, or do they sound too similar? Should I get something else like the Sennheiser Momentum 2.0?
-
Hello, I'm looking for a new pair of earphones to buy and I need some advice. I've been using the sennheiser momentum in-ear for a couple of months and I really loved the sound. I liked the clarity and the punchiness of the music, I like to listen to every instrument and be able to hear any detail. The momentum were pretty good at that, unfortunately, I didn't find them really comfortable and and I couldn't use them while sleeping on the side. (I like to listen to music while sleeping). They broke twice so I decided to give them back for the last time and try a new pair. I bought the Shure SE215, and I've been using them for a week now. This is the opposite of the momentum, the shure are super comfortable for me, I don't even feel them when i use them, and plus I can sleep with them no problem. But the sounds.. I didn't really like it. I looked it up on internet and I read a lot of reviews saying the audio was superb, but I didn't really dig it. It felt flat to me and "washed out", I had to be very careful to listen to the instruments on the backgroud and catching little details. I liked the bass tho. I don't know, I just hope someone can advise me here because it seems like i can't find the right earphones for me. My budget would be around 150 €/$ max 200 if it's really worth it. I listen to every kind of music honestly, but mostly I listen to hiphop/rap and Posthardcore Metal (yeah I know two very different types of music but that's what I like ) . Since I liked the momentum I was looking at the IE60 (The 80 are unavailable for now at amazon.it and that's where I have to buy them ). Can anybody that tried the IEs tell me if they're good ? Soundwise? And can you sleep with them on on the side? Thanks a lot to everyone that will answer (or just take the time to read this). If I made some grammar mistakes please forgive me! English isn't my main language.

Hello! Trying to decide between these earphones, and I would really like to hear some experienced advice on what's the best buy for me. I found the IE8s and IE60s at a good price on this site, (I am aware of the Chinese fakes): http://plentyretail.com/sennheiser-ie-8-premium-earphone/ http://plentyretail.com/sennheiser-ie-60-in-ear-headphones/ If you think these sites look to risky, then I will look elsewhere. I have had no experience with any expensive earphones, so I don't know what to expect if I'm honest. Any help is highly appreciated, thank you.

Im looking for a decent set of in ears, I'd like to know what do you guys think would be the best buy between the sennheiser momentums, the jbl synchros reflect, and the sennheiser 686g's. Right now the momentums are about $40 more expensive than the other two. Is it worth the extra money. Thanks

Looking for new earphones under €100, and both of these are €99 and highly regarded. Is there a general consensus on which ones people prefer? Is there anything better for the same price? I know Linus did a review on the Momentums but not on the RHA's. Personally I'm into rock and some bass heavy songs and heard Momentums were better. Thanks guys

Hi guys, I have a sennheiser momentum black headphone, and I don't like it. It is too small and my ears are pushed down. This makes theme uncomfortable and the passive noise canceling is ruined. But at the same time I like the sound quality. The earcups aren't soft and where two materials meet in the inside is really uncomfortable for my ears. The earphones are for IOS and are starting their 2nd monthe this january. I was wondering if there is a chance or way thet sennheiser would take it back and let me pay the price difference for the 2.0, because linus reviewed it in a ces video and it is softer, bigger, and better. I still have everything that was included in the box, even the documentation. The original box is almost untouched and thare isn't even a scratch on it, so I was really careful with it.

So i dont know which way to go, i would like to listen music and games with the quality and privacy of some headphones which i can use for editing , listening music on the go, and doing homework , but i would also like to share my music in some ocasions like those unforgettable moments when you hangout with your friends and family, or while watching a movie. what would you recommend me , a nice pair of sennheiser momentum or a bose soundlink mini? (i already own v moda crossfade lp headphones, they sound really great but are very uncomfortable for long periods of time like editing. And i really like the looks of the sennheiser.)

So I am looking for a set of headphones for gaming and listening to music. I mostly listen to dubstep, electro, house and a few other genres. So in short, I'm looking for a set of headphones with superb bass good mids and highs and work great for gaming (need to hear those footsteps yo) and impressiveness. I currently have Sennheiser momentum's (on ear varient) and I'm looking at the AKG k7xx massdrop edition headphones but is the bass better or worse on the AKG's compared to the momentum's or is there a better option than the AKG's?

I own a pair of Sennheiser Momentum over-ear, I really happy with it. I plan to buy a Sennheiser Momentum on-ear, but I don't know if it worth the money. So this is my question, how is the on-ear perform? Is there any huge difference between the two in term of sound quality? Thanks

Was suppose to pick up tomorrow an HD 558 but found that the Sennheiser Momentum On Ear is the same price right now(both are around $170). Which do you think would sound better for watching movies and listening to music, which from your experiences is more comfortable? Its not something I would take outside with me, I'm using an Asus Crosshair V Formula Z motherboard, thanks.

So I have some sennheiser momentum on-ears, and I really like how they sound, they're maybe a little weak on the bass but drums are pretty good, and guitars/cymbals/vocals sound superb. I mostly listen to metal, with my favourite bands being: Axis Disrupt Parkway Drive August burns red So the issue is after a while they aren't all that comfortable, and they aren't the over ear experience that I've realized I'm looking for. I want the place-over-your-ears-and-be-submerged experience that I'm not getting with on ears. I really like how comfortable my old siberia v2s are. The only thing(I brought this up before) is that I'm also looking for an aesthetic that isn't the weird looking curved offset headphones that most sennheisers seem to be, or the plasticky look a lot of other brands have like sony and the ath50s in particular. I'm more of a fan of pleather/leather than fabric/velour and am looking at spending up to about $300. It can be less of course. I've been eyeing the momentum over ear they seem to go on sale for about $300 ...help?

Hey everyone! My current pair of headphones just broke, the headband developed a crack and eventually that grew and became a split, they are now unusable. (serves me right for getting beats i suppose) So, i am after a new set of cans, i dont want to spend any more than $350 AUD Im looking at three drastically different options at the moment: One is the Astro A40 headset, its $330 at my local JB-Hifi and seems like a solid option, with the detachable mic (i play lots of games that require communication, and my current mic is meh), and the mixamp thing included. The second option is the Sennheiser Momentum's, which are on sale for $299 at the same store, they sound pretty good however lack a microphone The final option is the Plantronics RIG, which is $170 at EB Games and is basically a cheaper version of the Astro headset, it seems like a good cheaper option I have no idea which of these headsets to go for and if anyone has had any experience with these or other headphones you'd recommend i'd greatly appreciate the help Thanks, A very confused LordTumnas EDIT: i am mistaken about the momentum's the ones i am talking about are the Momentum on ear variant, which are 299 as the regular price.

edit: resurrected this thread with a new video. The old one was epic fail! Amazon: http://geni.us/BAv0Q NCIX: http://bit.ly/1f4uRoc Sennheiser's original Momentum headphones were well-reviewed by pretty much everyone... except me. The cold hard truth is that I made a mistake. I reached out to Sennheiser about giving me another crack with their new Momentum On Ear and this is the result!

https://www.massdrop.com/buy/sennheiser-momentum Yes, we get it. It needs an account to see. $120 is the lowest they'll go, that's $50 cheaper than the lowest I've ever seen them in Amazon. Seems like a very good deal, I definitely don't need headphones and yet I'm very interested. Also, it seems the only other Sennheiser product Massdrop has ever had before were replacement cables for the HD600 and HD650, hopefully this will represent a door opening for other Sennheiser products in Massdrop Note: they're only available in red, pink and green.
