So I bought a liter of pre-mixed Hydro X coolant, and I have about 1 liter of distilled water and 250ml of EKWB Concentrate. Is it okay to mix these? We don't have many stores here in Norway who sells custom cooling and such, so I just bought what was available.

Hi everyone! So I found a pair of ram laying around from my old build it’s a pair of 2x8GB G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 2133MHz CL15. I want to give them to my little brother since he stutters sometimes when playing GTA FiveM or when having lots of chrome tabs open. He has a Kingston HyperX fury 2x4GB DDR4 2133MHz CL14. Since i don’t even use mine i want him to have them. Now my question is can I mix and match these ram? Will it give me a total of 24GB? Or will I cause some hardware damage like break his motherboard by doing this? his pc is: CPU: i5 - 7500 mobo: MSI B250 Krait Gaming RAM: Kingston HyperX fury 2x4GB DDR4 2133MHz CL14

Hi All New poster here. I have a MSI pro carbon x470 with 2 sticks of RAM in it currently (2x 8GB 3200mhz) I was thinking of upgrading by adding 2x 16GB 3200mhz of the same brand of RAM. Will this work and if so which slots do i need to put the sticks in for the channels to be right? I am fairly new to building PC's just to add. Thanks

I built my system right after Christmas, and at that time there were hardly any options for RGB RAM which I really wanted for my system so I instead purchased what I thought would look great in my system: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232391 I love the TridentZ RAM, but it turns out because of my work with animation and the many mods and other utilities that I run while gaming I'm going to need to double my memory size to 32 gigs. Now I know that the best thing to do is to simply buy a 4 dimm kit, but from what I understand, as long as the RAM is the right size and speed there shouldn't be too many issues using a non-matching set to expand your capacity. I know this has been asked alot, but being that I want to throw in a kit of RGB dimms: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232476&cm_re=TridentZ_RGB-_-20-232-476-_-Product I just wasn't sure whether or not their communication to software that controls the lighting or some other factor would give me problems if I mixed these 2 kits. I mean, they're the same size, speed and brand purchased within a couple months of each other. Just thought I'd ask you guys before I tried it, any help is greatly appreciated Also, any news on the software used to control the lights? I know the're going to use AURA with the option to use their proprietary software. Just wasn't sure how much of that is available yet or how good it is. Also Also, I know they have a color-cycle effect out of the box and if you don't have a motherboard that is compatible you won't be able to use the software (which I am okay with) and although I do have an ASUS AURA mobo with Z170, people have only talked about compatibility with Z270 boards and the AURA drivers for my lower-end board are garbage, they don't work well at all and crash alot. So, even if I can't control the colors, can I still at least use the out-of-the box lighting sequence or will I not get any lights at all?

I was planning on upgrading my memory (Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL8 CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8) to 16GB, so I figured the obvious choice would be another kit, but I found out that it is no longer available in my country and on sites like amazon it is crazy expensive for me (around 100 bucks). It is also nowhere to be found in used markets, so I came up with some alternatives, but don't know what would be the best choice(would different timings cause problems or they can be set in the bios to the higher one etc.): CL7 kit for 32$ CMZ8GX3M2X16000C7R CL9 kit for 35$ CML8GX3M2A1600C9W Or sell my old one and buy a 2x8GB CL9 XMS3 kit for 64$

Hi! So I have my 2x4 memory kit which is the same model and advertised speeds but different revisions. When I looked to upgrade my ram to 16gb, I did look for the same model but again different revisions. Again, they are the same red corsair 1600 8-8-8-24 @ 1.5v the only difference being a random revision number and slightly different sticker.

Hey everyone, I have done a fair bit of Googling and the overall consensus seems to be to get a kit, but I would like to pose my question anyways as the mix is extremely close here. I have a GA-AB350M-DS3H motherboard and along with other components I had bought a 2 x 8 kit of Hyper X HX424C15FB2K2/16 RAM last year when I built this PC. The past month I've been having random blue screens and ran some tests. MemTest86+ is showing one of the sticks is getting hundreds of errors, while the other stick seems to be fine solo, I tested the slots too so I know it's the stick itself. I'm currently using the working 1 x 8GB stick right now. Unfortunately Amazon does not have any of the same sticks and no idea when there will be more. The other unfortunate part is that while I haven't called them, Hyper X's website says RMA's of kits must include both sticks to be RMA'd, not just one. So I'd likely be RAM-less during that time, or would end up purchasing RAM anyways to be able to keep using my system since I'd have to send this working stick back too. I'm also in Canada and I'm unsure how long it would take to get replacements. I have a few options but suffice to say I'm wondering what you all think of me buying this other very similar stick and using it, AND whether or not I should attempt Dual Channel slots or use Single Channel, if I buy it. Current RAM: https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX424C15FB2K2_16.pdf 1 x 8 remaining out of 2 x 8 kit. Purchasable RAM: https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX424C15FB3_8.pdf 1 x 8 GB. Spec wise they are almost identical, hence why I needed to ask. I'm going to sleep on this but I look forward to feedback in the morning, thanks!

Hello, I hope this is the right place to ask this very specific question, but here goes nothing I have an MSI x99 Krait edition mobo with an 5820k and currently 4x4 Kingston Hyper X 2400mhz memory modules. I want to upgrade my ram because I do light video and photo work, and i still have 4 more slots available. Now my question is, what will happen if I have 4 x 2400mhz HyperX modules and add 4 x 3000mhz HyperX Savage modules. Will it straight up not work? Will my 3000mhz ram run at 2400mhz? Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated. And i'm sorry if a similar post already exists or if this is the wrong place to ask, it is my first time on this forum and couldn't really find anything useful yet. Thanks in advance, YellowEdits.

I have a very strange problem that hours of google searching and troubleshooting have not fixed. I have a headset that I like to use when I play games with friends. It is a mixed audio/mic jack so I was unable to use it with my desktop until I got a 4-pole extender and a splitter that split the audio and mic into two different jacks. (Previously I just used my phone to transmit my voice with the headset.) But when I started using my headset with my desktop, all system sound is channeled not only to my headset, but also through the microphone. It is not as if the mic is picking up the sound, but windows is actually outputting sound through the recording device as if it was a stereo mix. I have messed with all sorts of settings in the windows sound/recording options, control panel, Realtek audio manager, and tried updating drivers, but I have not been able to fix it. My friends complain that they can hear my game and their echo. I even tried a USB sound device that gives a mic and audio jack, but it does the same thing, all system audio is passed through to the microphone. Even if I mute my headset with its mute switch, I can still see that my system sound is being transmitted. Discord picks it up, audacity picks it up, Skype, Hangouts.... You name it. The really bizarre thing is that if I switch the default audio device (not recording device) to be my speakers, then the system sound stops going through the mic, and it works fine, other then the fact that I can't hear through my headset, and the mic picks the speakers up. Also, if I unplug the audio jack, but leave the mic jack in, it also stops transmitting audio, but if I plug the audio jack into any other audio jack (front or back panel, and the USB device) it will start sending all sound through the mic again. If I use a set of headphones to get audio, and not the headset, then everything is fine, except that I am wearing headphones for sound, and the headset around my neck for voice. Side note, the headset is a cheap one I got new from a friend, Afterglow lvl3, they are pretty bad audio quality wise, but I tried this with multiple other headsets with the same results. I am using on board sound with this mobo. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157505 Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello, This is my first real "question" post on these forums so I apologize if I'm not as thorough with my question. Also to note, this is my first water cooling build, I've done TONS of air cooled and closed loop systems but never a custom loop. That being said, is it ok to mix coolants? Example, I want to achieve a color like this https://mayhems.co.uk/coolants/pastel-coolants/pastel-concentrate-250ml/green-250ml/ without using any "dye", but I also want to have it UV reactive if possible. Glowing a neon green when exposed to UV in the dark and more of a pastel/matte color when no UV light is on it. Is it possible to mix pastel colored liquids with like a clear UV reactive liquid? Thanks for any replys!

I have just found a very old Sony receiver, the STR-DE325. On the back, it has a "Mix Audio Out" RCA Jack. According to the manual it looks like where you'd hook up a subwoofer, but it goes into no detail. As I plan to use this in a 2.1 setup with a powered sub my questions are- 1. Is this a "standard" line level subwoofer output? 2. Is it full-range, or is there some sort of crossover in the receiver? 3. Does it work in 2-ch stereo modes, or is it only for surround modes? Thanks!

Generic Brown Fizzy Beverage + Mechanical keyboard = ?
WelshDdraig posted a topic in Troubleshooting
"Generic Brown Fizzy Beverage" was meant to input some humor, for those wandering, it was Pepsi Max. Hey everyone, My brother being the "genius" that he is was drinking a fizzy beverage on his computer and spilled it on his Razer Blackwidow 2014 Mechanical Keyboard. Now some of the switches are not working, most notably, most of the middle row and some of the QWERTY row. I have currently got it standing on its side to hopefully let some of the liquid drain out as it was dripping bit by bit. What is the chance that he has ruined his keyboard? If not, is there a way to fix it, i.e. let it dry and remove any residue? Thanks for your help. BTW, feel free to call him an idiot for drinking at his computer. -
I’ve been looking into upgrading my laptop from 4GB of RAM to 8GB. My Dad has an iMac with two empty RAM slots. Both of our computers currently have a 2x2GB RAM configuration. The RAM in my computer is a higher speed, but would it be possible to add my RAM to his? (effectively giving him 8GB in a 4x2GB config) Thanks, Bellow is more information of each of our RAM configurations (pulled from the Apple support pages) Dad’s Mac 4 GB of RAM (1333 MHz PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM) The maximum amount of RAM you can install in your computer is 16 GB (a 4 GB SO-DIMM in each slot). You can use any Small-Outline dual inline memory modules (SO-DIMMS) that meet all of these criteria: PC3-10600 Unbuffered Nonparity 204-pin 1333 MHz DDR3 SDRAM You can use RAM module sizes of 2 GB or 4 GB in each slot. My Macbook 4 GB of RAM (1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM PC3-12800) Double Data Rate Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module (DDR3) format 67.6mm x 30mm (1.18 inch) 2 GB or 4 GB 204-pin PC3-12800 DDR3 1600 MHz type RAM

Hey Guys So recently I've been looking at ram for my prospective rig and the big question is "Am I able to have 2 different speeds of ram on one motherboard?" This is a question that i am concerned in because i hope to add in the Adata XPG v1 black 1600 2 x 4gb on one part of my mobo (ASUS Crosshair V Formula - Z) and then have the Adata XPG v1 red 1866 2 x 4 GB on the other set on my motherboard. As in the 1600 lets say goes onto the red ram sockets, whilst the 1866 ones goes on the black sockets. Is this possible? Thanks -Luckyducsktr http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8569731&CatId=4534 (this is the 1866{it says 1600mhz but the model number and the picture for the product says 1866}) http://products.ncix.com/detail/adata-xpg-v1-0-8gb-ddr3-1600-8f-93607-1020.htm (this is the 1600mhz)

So I am a Twitch streamer and I have 2 HD7950 running in crossfire. AMD drivers sucks, they always crash and turn off my PC while streaming titles like SimCity2013 and Battlefield 4. Today it crashed while streaming, but this time it crashed like this. So I unplugged one of the graphic cards and everything work fine again Then I fear single GPU cannot handle the load, so I dig up my GTX660Ti and plugged in. After I installed the Nvidia driver, the Open Broadcaster automatically detected there is Nvidia NVENC compatible graphic card and turned on the NVENC decoding. Now there is no performance impact while I stream those game. You think it will stays the same over time? Hey everyone, I've got a probably pretty stupid and nooby question for You: I'm going to buy some Recording equipment, mic, mixer and cables and so on, and I want to record from 4 or 5 source. I want to hear all of them on my headphones, except the Mic. Is this possible with the Behringer Xenyx QX1002 ? I would plug in the Mic using XLR on port 1, and use the other Line-Ins for the other sources. Thanks already for Your answers

If I was to have something like a Quadro installed alongside a GeForce card, would I be able to game on this machine and get the performance of the GeForce card while, in professional applications, getting acceleration from the Quadro (and sometimes the GeForce card)? My concern is that having the display outputs coming off of the Quadro will not allow for gaming on the GeForce card, and that connecting displays only to the GeForce card will cause professional applications to not utilize the Quadro. The ideal solution would allow for both of these to occur without re-connecting cables or reconfiguring software whenever I want to game/work. Much appreciated.
