Howdy Friends, I've searched around the internet for a while now and realized that I have some somewhat cool things that don't seem to have any real info online past a couple of articles: https://videocardz.net/amd-bc-250-mining-card https://www.techspot.com/news/93980-14800-asrock-mining-rig-powered-12-playstation-5.html I have on hand 120 of these AMD BC-250 Mining Cards as part of 10x AsRock mining rigs that were purchased ~18 months ago. Currently I run Ubuntu Linux 20.02 LTS w/Awesome miner installed on each card via a Sandisk 32GB usb. Mining wise they are on a profit switching setup through our custom AwesomeMiner config. As everyone can see, they draw roughly 80-100w depending on temperature mostly with the stock clocks. on ETC they run around the 48-51MH/s mark, though through minor tuning I have been able to hold around 55-57Mh/s without any noticeable temperature or power increase. Here are the readouts of the cards from my controller: Core clock: 1145Mhz Memory clock: 450Mhz Core(s) 12/24 8GB Memory More pictures: https://photos.google.com/u/1/share/AF1QipMVlxImOsVOb18QG45vbgjZ1nplOY7Jv0DH2hZwIHgHoVaxOOLREKvvEHFPv-BMAQ?key=Y1NOaWYyMXptRGJVN2ZwdWVQeVE5Ny1STXE1Z0Rn (will update with significantly better photos soon) I know its not a ton of info on the cards, I'm just being lazy and not entirely sure what Is and isn't worth posting about them. I'm happy to field questions/give more photos as people wish.

I have 2 RX580, and a RTX 2070 Super Usually doing nothing. I have a SFF Dell computer that I can take the motherboard out and use 1x to 16x Express connectors for it. Does anyone know if this is a good idea? I don't want to spend money on a different mobo and CPU. Also does anyone have any recommendations on what 1x to 16x connectors to buy. I don't want to buy ones that fail later.

I just built my rig. I am new to all of this. This is my parts list: ASUS Prime Z390-P LGA 1151, Intel Core i5-8400, 2xCrucial RAM 16GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL19, 1xSabrent 256GB ROCKET NVMe PCIe M.2 2280, 1xEVGA Supernova 1600 G+, 80+ Gold 1600W PSU and Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler. Everything was put together and booted up on the first try. My CPU has a IGPU, the UHD 630, and that's what I am using to get my display from. I then started to add the GPU's one by one.(each time I added a GPU I turned off the system first) Yes they are on risers. Doing it one by one I was able to get 4xGPU's on risers to work without any trouble, the whole time my display coming from the CPU IGPU. When I go to add the fifth GPU, the screen goes all fuzzy gray except for a couple of slits of proper display where I can see that it has booted up in the bios. If I try to connect my display to one of the GPU's that was connected prior to the fifth one being added I do not get any video. Since the screen goes fuzzy gray when it's connected to the IGPU, I cannot tell why it has loaded into the bios. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time so I did not change any of the bios settings before installing anything and I didn't do anything to Windows either except for the basic things like not needing a password and not going to sleep etc. All of my GPU's are Nvidia and range from a 1070 TI, 20's series and 30's series. Thanks for all the help in advance! Edit: This was solved!

Budget (including currency): $200? Country: Canada Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): AMD Wraith Stealth cooler that came with my CPU, phanteks P500A Hi people, Whenever my desktop PC is idle, I decided to have it mining some crypto, even when I'm outside my home. However, I have a friend who lost a GTX 970 long ago during a mining operation and I feel reluctant about mining. He's not that knowledgeable about computers and often attempts to scare me from mining. Right now, my case has 3 120mm fans and I am using the standard AMD cooler that came with my CPU. Do you guys have any cooling solutions in mind? While I noticed that my GPU temperature is in the low seventies, I'm still worried. I'm currently mining using only my CPU integrated graphics and a RTX 2060. I find the 2060 has a temperature of low seventies on full load I'd say. Thank you for your time. Vitor

I am currently running a Zotac Gaming RTX 3070ti alongside a Gigabyte RTX 2060super using Nicehash to mine. every 5 minutes or so my 3070 gets up to 90C and shuts off from being too hot. Are there better fans I can use? better insulation? Motherboard: Asrock B450F PSU: corsair RM850x RAM: 4x corsair 8GB RGB Ambiant room temp: 20C

Wanting to build a gpu mining rig. I have like 700 for the rig (no gpus). I have 2 1080s already. I will also be using nicehash. Would prefer to be able to use up to 6 gpus. The cheaper the better. Thanks

Hello guys! I am writing to ask you for a little tip. So I am going to spend around 1200 euro on a mining card or maybe more cards for the same price. Here where I live in Bulgaria it is almost impossible to get something new on decent price. You know the prices on the GPU's and how the thing are lately. So I was thinking what will be the best offer for this money and searched for some used cards with warranty still left. I am looking for something newer with warranty because 1200$ is not a small amount for me. But there are cheaper used cards but the thing is i can get more cards and have better profit but they have no warranty and are used too for mining. I think it's a risk and it's all about luck if i buy them without warranty but for the same money the profit will be better. For 1200 euro I can only get 2 GTX 1660 Supers or Ti's .Which will give me around 62 MH/s. For the same price I can get RX 580 8gb , but with warranty and same results. And the last options which I find risky but most profitable is to buy 4 or 5 GTX 1060 6gb used without warranty. Which do you thing will be the best offer because I am hesitating what will be the best way to invest those 1200 euros by the best possible way. And if I am still waiting the prices only go up and it's almost impossible to find a video card whenever its is.

what's a good memory to buy for mining and I also need a motherboard along with a cpu. with all that being said I do not want a garbage single or dual core or even a obsolete quad core cpu that cant run games. I want to build a mining rig with 5+ gpus but it better be able to run games decently too I need a reliable motherboard that's not just for mining but I want it to be a good quality board overall, it better be able to support 5+ gpus at once tho without any issues at all I'm not a fan of garbage ram either, i want a decent piece of memory For motherboard well since this is a mining build and not a gaming pc build I'd spend up to 300$, I'd spend up to 250 for cpu possibly 300 if it's really good, up to a hundred dollars for ram, and I'm assuming 100gb hdd will do just fine? I got a bunch of high quality 750watt psus already so we got that. This is my first build so any info will be appreciated, I'm not sure of what all I need atm As for fans well I have like 50 aerocool shark fans and they're good, I'm not even kidding I installed a bunch inside my car cuz why not? thankfully we never got in an accident or it wouldn't end well rofl I'm not sure about monitor? I have a bunch of old monitors laying around so i guess that'll work? So yea if I'm missing something let me know?

Hey, I was wondering how much power does my RX 570 sapphire 8 GB consume, before I’ll really get into mining. I’ve read lot of things about gpu power usage, but never found the best one. The power consumption on my GPU is about 90w. My specs: -Ryzen 5 1600x default clocks -rx570 sapphire 8GB running at 1180mhz clock speed and 2080 memory speed -cooler master master watt 600w lite -msi a320 m pro m.2 -hyperx predator rgb 2x 8GB 3600mhz I would like to ask you guys how much electricity does my whole pc consume in one month, while mining 24/7. I live in Hungary if you need for calculations. Thank you for your response.

I have TB360 BTC D+ motherboard. The motherboard doesn't have 24 pin connector instead it has 8 - 6 pin connector. I have installed i5-9400f and 8 gb od ddr4 sodimm RAM has i has a sodimm ram slot. I connected gigabyte p750GM psu. i used the 24 pin jumping method by inserting a metal paperclip in 4th and 5th hole of 24 pin connector to jumpstart it and PSU turns on but after 5-6 secs its fans stops spining but still power is being delivered to cpu and single gpu both there fan are sniping but pc makes beeping sound continuously and noting gets posted on monitor. Pleases help me.

So.. After a couple of days of banging my head to the wall and now already given up so that I putted my 5th GPU for sale I decided to give it a one more try if I can get any help from here. The problem is that when I'm adding 5th GPU in any way to my rig it won't post. No display and msOS gives only "undetected hardware" and won't show even the 4. I can't get any display. Specs: Asrock Z390 pro4 Intel i5-9400f Kingston 250gb nvme m2 8gb ram 3x asus rtx 3070 dual Inno3d RTX3060ti PNY RTX3060ti Corsair RM1000x EVGA G3 850W Tried basicly everything I could find from the wonder world of internet. Gen1, Gen 2, Above 4g decoding... And the thing is that the problem occurs when using both PCI-E X16 slots. When using any combination of 1:s and 1 x16 it works like a miracle. I'm certain that there is some setting in BIOS that I just can't handle or find. Or to be honest, I have absolutely no idea. Any ideas? Thank you in advance all! You guys are basicly my last hail mary here

Budget (including currency): 1000$ Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mining I wanted to start mining either ethereum or Bitcoin. Im trying to find a budget graphic card, I wanted the rx 580 or the 1660, I need a rig which I have no idea how to build or what to buy(pre built). I think 5 cards would be a good start. I know crypto’s kinda down but I still want to try it out. What’s your guy’s thoughts? So really what card is bang for buck and I need a rig idea.

I’ve been looking into creating, or buying, a mining rig and have constantly moved back and forth between GPU and ASIC mining or if mining from home is feasible at the moment. Below, I’ve detailed my thoughts and some questions. The mining rig would be in my bedroom, so power consumption, heat production, and noise play a big factor. Those three are the main reason I’m leaning toward GPU mining over ASIC mining. Ideally, I would want the rig to be a closed setup (similar to the attached image) and am happy to build it myself. How efficient would a rig like this be for minimising noise, power consumption, and heating? Discarding the price of electricity, how much BTC (approx.) and/or profit could I expect to see weekly/monthly? (I'm currently inclined to use NVIDIA RTX 3070's) Am I better off mining another coin, such as Ravencoin, and trading it for BTC? Is a four GPU rig enough, or should I only mine if I have six or more?

Hi all who reads this. I have a bit of an od question which I know most people would say “don’t waste your time trying” but I want to try tho and I got the time and money. I am wondering is it possible to modify/configure an OLD Poweredge 1900 Dell server with an Intel Workstation board S5000XVNSASR to mine bitcoin, ethereum esc...Mostly want to do GPU mining have done some research and saw that CPU mining no worth it. Thought here at LTT might be the best place to ask a question like this.... Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Hello everyone! I'm about to buy the components for my first Mining Rig, with a Vega 56. I've selected all the parts, but since i'm a noob in this i want to check if someone has any advice to give me. In the beggining at the mining process i'll start with only one card to setup everything and check if everything is fine, later on i'll expand for 6 cards. Here are the specs: Motherboard ASUS Z270 DD4: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-PRIME-Z270-LGA1151-Motherboard/dp/B01NGTYV2Q GPU RX Vega 56: https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-Graphic-Cards-RX-VEGMLBFX6/dp/B07532T488 CPU Intel Celeron G1840: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Celeron-G1840-Processor-LGA1150/dp/B00K5OJ0TS 2x Corsair RMI 1000W: https://goo.gl/MVSeqA RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz (2x4GB): https://goo.gl/rmM6fu PCI Riser Cables: Leboo 6-Pack PCIE Riser: https://www.amazon.com/Leboo-6-Pack-Powered-Adapter-Extension/dp/B075FR7Q5Q/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?_encoding=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0#Ask ATX Power Switch: https://goo.gl/gnYj3o Add2PSU: http://www.add2psu.com/store/ Cooler Noctua 140mm: https://www.amazon.com/Premium-Quality-Technology-NF-A14-PWM/dp/B00CP6QLY6 Any thoughts on this? The specs of the PC: Motherboard: h81 btc pro r2. 0 CPU: Intel Pentium/celleron Memory:4GB ddr3 2400mhz PSU: 1200 Watt semi modular graphics cards: 6x Asus Strix Radeon 4gb Rx 470 (Trying 6+ 7-8) OS Using windows/Linux okay, so the problem I am having is as followd. The motherboard has 6 PCI slots I am using x4 pci risers (1 in motherboard where 4 cards sit on) so I can use 2 pci slots on the motherboard to use 8 cards. but when I connect the 7 or more cards it just doesn't do any thing won't even show up the BIOS I have to reset the bios and set output to on board graphics again each time I try and put the 7 card on thare. even wen i take out the 7 card again it wont do any thing untill i reset the BIOS. So is the motherboard not compatible with 6+ cards becouse it dosnt have that many PCI slots on thare?

Ok, so I am a complete noob at cryptocurrencies and mining. I have read about it in the news and on some forums, and heard about it everywhere. My question - is bitcoin, or any other cryptocurrency. still profitable? And how "safe" it is? I was looking into getting into mining, but I am a student in Europe, so I can't spend too much on it, because my studying leaves me little to no time to get a constant, stable source of income (i.e. job). Is trading bitcoins profitable? I know the questions sound a little stupid, but I am a noob. Could someone maybe recommend me a tutorial or something? Thanks in advance!
