Today i turned my pc on and it got stuck on the windows logo loading at startup. So i just restarted it, now it wuld not even tur on. Thinking it mght me some cables disconnecting i took everthing apart cleaned it and put it back together. It started up normaly i turned on speccy to check if it saw something wrong (was suspecting my hdd or ssd dying) everything was ok, temperatures ok aswell. Then it crashes. Now nothing works, took it apart and put back together, nothing. Keep getting error 07-ap initialization after microcode loading. Mabu worth mentioning, my old psu blew up 6days ago. Specs: Motherboard: Maximus VI Formula GPU: EVGA FTW gtx 1070 CPU: i7 4790k (watercooled with corcair h100i) RAM: 16Gb hyperx 2133 PSU: EVGA 750 G3 (bought 4days ago) SSD: 128Gb HDD: 2Tb

Hey everyone, I bought a M6 Formula a while ago (middle of May), but ~3 months ago the wireless started acting up (packet loss of at least 5%, unstable ping of 100+ms). I couldn't find any solution online back then so I bought a ~35€ PowerLAN set. That starts failing now as well (random disconnects, only resetting the adapters helps), so I'll have to go back to wireless sooner or later since LAN is not an option. I already ran multiple tests with every wireless device and my PC is the only one with those problems. Drivers and BIOS are all up to date. Also, I can't submit a support ticket on Asus' website because apparently their servers are busy 24/7. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, everyone! I'm not really sure where to start, so I'll just jump on in. I could really use some proffesional help with overclocking my CPU. I've never overlocked anything before; I am aware of the risks. If it's worth mentioning, I have watched several videos of Linus talking about overclocking, and the general how-to, including a video talking about my specific mobo and CPU, but I'm still at quite a bit of a loss. I guess I should first find out if my equipment is capable of overclocking; here is my system: CPU - Intel Core i7-4770K @ 3.5Ghz RAM - Corsair Vengeance low-profile series - 16GB (That's two 8GB sticks.) Motherboard - ASUS Maximus VI Formula Cooler - Noctua NH-D14 (RealTemp shows that I'm getting no higher than 26 Celsius per core with 3-6% load) PSU - Corsair HX850 HX series @ 850W. GPU - Nvidia Geforce GTX 770 SSD - Seagate 600 series - 240GB ~Now, I'm not interested in messing with my GPU at the moment (unless it's necessary for the OC), just want to get a higher speed on my CPU. Assuming I'm good to go for the overclock, could somebody please paint me a general picture of what all I need to do? Where in the BIOS do I start? What all will I need to adjust to affect my CPU speed, just the processor or RAM as well? What variables do I need to keep in mind? What software should I download to help me with my overclock? So far I only have CPU-Z, and RealTemp, and I'm not 100% familiar with them. Basically, I need a detailed lesson in overclocking to put it plain and simple. I hope that's not too much to ask, and of course, I'm really appreciative to all of those who wish to help me. Please let me know if I've posted this in the wrong section of the forums, I'm relatively new. If more information about my system is required, please ask and I will be more than willing to post it here. Thank you!

Hi guys! I'm planning my build, so I would like to get your opinion on the hardware i'm looking at. CPU: i7 4770K Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VI Formula GPU: MSI GTX 770 Gaming 4GB RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16 GB (2x8GB) 1600MHz Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Black SSD: Samsung 840 PROseries 128 GB PSU: Corsair AX 860i CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i (With two Noctua NF-F12 fans) HDD for programs: WD Black 1TB HDD for storage: An old WD Green I already have I've been wondering whether I should get the MSI 770 with 4- or 2GB GDDR memory, but since I'm running two monitors (even though one of them is pretty low-res) and the price difference really isn't that big, I figured that I might need it. I've also been looking at the ASUS GTX 770 (2GB), but from the reviews I've read, the MSI should be better (please correct me if I'm wrong). Should I be so infinitely lucky that there's someone out there who can tell me if the H100i will fit in the front of the Define R4 with such high profile RAM as the Dominator Platinums? Or should I just stuff it in the top of the case? And can you tell me if I need additional cables for hooking up all the Corsair link supporting hardware to the H100i? I will of course be posting pics of the build process when I eventually build it! Hope you guys will respond! Thanks in advance!

I'm building a new system from the ground up with the intention of overclocking and water cooling. Here are the details I have set in stone at the moment: Main Components: Case: Cooler Master CM Storm Stryker CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro Red MB: ASUS Maximus VI Formula GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Dual Classified Hydro Copper SSD: OCZ Vector 120GB HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 3TB PSU: XFX PRO1000W Ltd Black Edition Cooling: Water Block: Apogee Drive II Tubing: PrimoChill PRIMOFLEX™ Advanced LRT™ Crystal Clear 1/2 in 3/4 OD Fittings: Compression The 3 main components I'll be cooling with this loop will be the CPU, GPU, and MB. There are a few issues I'm having at the moment: 1 - Go with 2 dual 120mm rads with res and pump built in or go with bare bones rads, pump and res. 2 - Which Rads to get. I'm leaning towards Swiftech but there selection is limited on NCIX and non existent at any other Computer related sites I've found that sell Water cooling components in Canada. I really don't want to have to order out of the US. 3 - Which fans to use for the rads to give the best cooling. 4 - Water coolant I want the best all in one out there. I don't want to have to add a whack-load of additives to prevent issues that can arise. Basically, I'm looking for some experienced recommendations, and hopefully someone out there has done water cooling with the CM Storm Stryker case and can share some tips etc.

I have now issues with the graphic card. It gets stuck frequently when i play games. there is always a kernel error ..or the open gl error 3 and sometime it just get stuck and i have to reboot my pc . the Furmark test crashes on my system. i have re installed the drivers a multiple times Need help !!!!!! Hello. I'm having an issue with my new motherboard, ASUS Maximus VI Formula. I've just put my new rig together 3 days ago and I have a troubling issue. It seems like there is something wrong with my USB 3.0's that are located on the I/O of my motherboard. The problem is that when I have my keyboard plugged into my 3.0, it works fine, but I can't properly utilize my volume keys. They too work, but when I press on them, my Windows 7 volume slider takes off in its own direction. Ex -- If I press raise volume once, the slider goes all the way up, and when I try to lower it with my mouse, it works for a split second then shoots back up to the top. Same thing goes for lower volume, it goes all the way down and I can't seem to raise it. The only way to get control of my Windows 7 volume slider is to unplug the keyboard and plug it back in. It's important to note that this only happens with the four USB 3.0's that are controlled via "Asmedia" and *NOT* the Intel USB 3.0's. I've been trying to fix this issue for the past 2 days. Here is a list of what I've done: -Made sure all USB's are enabled in the BIOS. -Made sure all the Intel USB 3.0's have the latest driver. -Updated the firmware on the built in Asmedia USB 3.0 controller. (Perhaps one thing to try would be to delete the built-in Asmedia software, if it's even possible, and re-download. It seems ASUS doesn't have the driver, just the firmware update to what the motherboard already comes with.) -Bought a new keyboard with independant volume buttons that aren't bound to 'F' Keys, such as the one I already own (Kensington Slim Type), this didn't help the issue, but confirmed that my keyboard is indeed functional. -Made sure that the "Human Interface Device Access" service is running. -Reinstalled my Windows 7 OS with my keyboard/mouse plugged in to the USB 2.0's and *NOT* the Asmedia 3.0's. Upon my reinstall I've decided to only grab the LAN driver from my motherboard drivers disk, and get the rest of the latest system-essential drivers directly from the ASUS website. Here is a list of the parts I'm using for my current system: -ASUS Maximus VI Formula Mobo -Intel Core i7-4770k CPU @ 3.5Ghz. - x1 8GB stick of Corsair Vengeance Low Profile RAM. (Getting another stick soon) -Geforce GTX 770 -Corsair HX850W PSU. -Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler. -240GB Seagate 600 Series SSD. (This holds my OS) -1TB Western Digital HDD (Don't remember the exact model of the HDD, but it doesn't hold my OS) Here is a link of my conversation with an official ASUS representative who is basically telling me that it's okay to buy a brand-new motherboard with seemingly dysfunctional USB 3.0's: - http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1999328/usb-issue-asus-maximus-formula.html#12563861 I think that pretty much wraps it up. I'm new to these forums so please let me know if I'm unintentionally violating any post-related rules. I would greatly appreciate somebody taking a glance at my problem and helping me fix it, or letting me know if this is even a common occurance with Asmedia and this type of system setup. I couldn't find anybody else with this specific issue, and yes I've googled for hours, and then some. It might also be worthy to note that I still have something like 25 days left to get a replacement motherboard from my retailer for zero cost. I'm just trying to exhaust all the posibilities and make sure this isn't on my end, or something I can easily fix. Thank you for reading this lenghty post!

I would like if anyone can confirm that http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=79026 would work with the Maximus VI Formula board. The reason for the Hyperx beast and not corsair vengeance pro is the only 2x8 available on ncix is in gold(out of stock, so happy since i wanted red) the red that is available according to corsair isnt z87 ready and atleast the Hyperx says it XMP ready. i would love to order it before this week is finish its like the last major part i have to get and gskill is a hell no Parts Case Storm Stryker CPU i7-4770k Mobo Maximus VI Formula Cooler H100i SSD HyperX 3K 240 HDD 1TB VelociRaptor PSU AX 860i GPU GTX 780ti RAM 16gb unknown

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of buying the Maximus vi formula and I was wondering whether I should use the onboard audio or to buy a dedicated sound card. Thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

hi everybody, i bought a 4770k and a maximus vi formula in february and i was quite excited, it all worked on test boots, until i brought it up to my room from the dining room table, then i started to notice something. when i shut down my pc, approx. 10-30mins later it would randomly start back up and at this point i thought nothing of it and i believed that it was a faulty power button, so i just left it, after a while it started to annoy me so i unpluged my power switch and used the onboard one, this had no effect the board still randomly powered up after shutting down, and because i did not know if i had a warranty (because i have yet to fill in the on screen pop up that appears at every start) i just got on with it, but recently i have noticed that the line out jack on my on-board sound doesnt work, i get no audio through it at all, i have tried multiple headphones and i have restarted multiple time, i do not believe this is an overclocking issue as my whole system has only blue screened once (whilst editing a game value when the game was open) so everything else seems pretty solid, and i thought i would get the L.T.T community opinion on what to do, as i have been leaving my system on which does not help the power bill Thanks Blair
