I've read something more or less related to this here and there on the Forum. Personally I've always been against the idea of using my personal mobile phone for professional pusposes. Here is why: Source : Don’t Put Your Work Email on Your Personal Phone ; OneZero; 23 July, 2019 If a company who wants me to work for her is not ready to provide a mobile phone to let me work in an efficient manner, then, imo, there is a problem...

Hey there I've finally decided to give up on this, and ask the community some help... It has given me so many headaches Here are the basics : 1. A file is generated using PDFtk 2. An automated email is sent with the file attached I'm using postfix through an SMTP relay I've gathered some code around the internet and tried to learn to use it the best as I could and here's what I came up with : $to = $user['usr_mail']; $from = 'contact@mydomain.fr'; $fromName = 'Jonathan Bdlf Photographie '; if ($bc_type == 1){ // Si couple $subject = 'Votre bon cadeau pour une séance photo en couple '; } else if ($bc_type == 2){ // Si famille $subject = 'Votre bon cadeau pour une séance photo en famille '; } $prenom = $user['usr_prenom']; $html_content = "<h1>Voici votre bon cadeau </h1> <p>Je vous remercie pour votre achat</p>"; $plaintext = "Voici votre bon cadeau. Je vous remercie pour votre achat."; $boundary = uniqid(); // attachment $attachment = chunk_split(base64_encode(file_get_contents($outputPDF))); // message with attachment $message = "--".$boundary."\r\n"; $message .= "Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8\r\n"; $message .= "Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64\r\n\r\n"; $message .= chunk_split(base64_encode($html_content))."\r\n"; $message .= "--" . $boundary . "\r\n"; $message .= "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8\r\n"; $message .= "Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64\r\n\r\n"; $message .= chunk_split(base64_encode($plaintext))."\r\n"; $message .= "--".$boundary."\r\n"; $message .= "Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name=\"$outputPDFname\"\r\n"; $message .= "Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64\r\n"; $message .= "Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=\"$outputPDFname\"\r\n\r\n"; $message .= $attachment."\r\n"; $message .= "--".$boundary."--"; // header information $headers = "From: $from\r\n"; $headers .= "Reply-To: contact@mydomain.fr\r\n"; $headers .= "MIME-Version: 1.0\r\n"; $headers .= "Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary=\"$boundary\"\r\n"; // send email if (mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers)) { echo "Email with attachment sent successfully."; } else { echo "Failed to send email with attachment."; } The email went through once with the attachment Then I had this weird email : This is a sample email with attachement--655feab3a6c7f Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 VGhpcyBpcyBhIHNhbXBsZSBlbWFpbCB3aXRoIGF0dGFjaGVtZW50LS02NTVmZWFiM2E2YzdmDQpD b250ZW50LVR5cGU6IHRleHQvcGxhaW47IGNoYXJzZXQ9VVRGLTgNCkNvbnRlbnQtVHJhbnNmZXIt RW5jb2Rpbmc6IGJhc2U2NA0KDQo= --655feab3a6c7f Content-Type: application/octet-stream; name="bon-cadeau-couple-1700784819.pdf" Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64 Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="bon-cadeau-couple-1700784819.pdf" Then nothing The logs aren't showing any error Here's what I have : Nov 24 00:31:13 ip-172-26-0-118 postfix/pickup[1435549]: A2A3780437: uid=1 from=<daemon> Nov 24 00:31:13 ip-172-26-0-118 postfix/cleanup[1435594]: A2A3780437: message-id=<20231124003113.A2A3780437@mydomain.fr> Nov 24 00:31:13 ip-172-26-0-118 postfix/qmgr[1208021]: A2A3780437: from=<daemon@mydomain.fr>, size=681, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Nov 24 00:31:14 ip-172-26-0-118 postfix/smtp[1435596]: A2A3780437: to=<personnal-mail@hotmail.fr>, relay=ssl0.ovh.net[193.70.18.144]:587, delay=0.81, delays=0.02/0/0.57/0.23, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 2.0.0 Ok: queued as 52EEE1FE06) Nov 24 00:31:14 ip-172-26-0-118 postfix/qmgr[1208021]: A2A3780437: removed I can't seem to figure out why the heck this doesn't work The only thing I'm 99% sure is that the mail isn't received because of the code I'm trying to pass in mail() I'm 100% sure that my mail is sent. I'm 99,99% sure that it's delivered (at mx.outlook.com) since I don't receive back any "undelivered" message Do any of you know how mails work deep from the inside ? Somebody knows more headers I should fill to ensure high delivering ? Has anyone an idea on what can possibly be wrong in my code ? Let's get over the basic questions : Yes, all my variables are right and work Yes emails can be sent from my server (tested from postfix using command line) Thanks a lot to you all

Hi, if I choose the upgrade option on WIN 10 installer will it keep my settings and apps like mail and outlook accounts, emails, calendars. I do not have gmail and such so that's why I am asking. And in the calendar app I have pretty crucial informations that I have been writing for more than 4 years. Another question, where can I find my windows calendar and mail files ? Where does Windows store it? And if i can find it somewhere and save it, can I load calendar data into calendar or mail or outlook again? Thanks.

I'd like to have a second mail but without loosing my current one. I have a stupid email name and i want to change it but its already into many web and non web platforms(legal contracts that mails are being kept on sheets of paper OH MY GOD), so i have to keep it either i like it or not. So i would like to have an other mail name and have both the new and the old one on my mail feed without changing emails every time i want to check my mailfeed. So i would like to have my 2 mails being diplayed at the same feed at the same time when i open gmail for example. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

help Migrate Thunderbird mails to Exchange
GeneralShagg posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
The problem So I need to migrate some mailboxes from Thunderbird to Exchange 365. Thunderbird doesn't use the same file format as Outlook or other email clients, so I need to convert them to be able to import these emails. We currently have a POP3 mail server, in which we do not store emails received for more than 2 days. All emails are stored locally on users' PCs. So I can't just install another client to download and export the emails. The solutions Export the files manually as an EML file and import them into the Outlook application so that they can be synchronized with Exchange 365. This solution is not viable because one of the users has more than 160 GB of email. I would take years to do it this way. Using software to automatically migrate all emails from Thunderbird to Outlook/Exchange. In this way, it could work, even if I have to pay software, I will save a lot of time. I would need some recommendations because there are a lot of software... (SysTools, Aryson MBOX migrator, DRS MBOX to PST converter,...) My questions First question is that Exchange 365 does not offer a mailbox that can store 160 GB of mail. Exchange Plan 2 can store up to 100GB, but on the Microsoft Exchange Limits page, I can archive up to 1.5TB3 in emails. As I understand it, I should be able to import all his emails and archive most of them and he could access them whenever and wherever he wants. Second question, for software recommendation, it would help if there was one that could do Thunderbird to Exchange 365 and Outlook to Exchange 365 migration. Finally, do you have any advice, recommendations or anything that could help me in this process? This is pretty much the first time I transfert this quantity of mailboxes (~20) -

TLDR: Chris Vickery discovered a database log consisting of more then 1.37billion e-mails, some of them linked to physical locations, IP's, and sometimes even complete personal information lists with names and phone numbers. The database belongs to River City Media(RCM), a company that specializes in creating mailing lists and sending promotion e-mails out to random people, whose behaviour for the mail was tracked and used separate those who click, view and buy. with that data they would sent more mails on what was predicted to be the most efficient. The client list of RCM includes companies like Nike, AT&T, dollar shave club and more. amount of addresses sorted on highest to lowest. Okey, this is a big one, a really really big fish, let's start with he tweet that brought this to my attention. A database leak with so many entries must be big right? the UKregister was soon at the party with a list of possible companies. Source: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/03/06/researcher_warns_of_one_point_four_billion_identity_leak/?mt=1488883860219 so the players are named, but what was it for real? yes, for real, but the suspected victims wheren't there, so the register hyped it too much up themselves(owh media) since it where mostly e-mails only. source: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/03/07/rcm_email_megaleak/ a big full lengthy article can be found here, it's a bit to big to post everything of it, so for the interested people I recommend to read through it. http://www.csoonline.com/article/3176433/security/spammers-expose-their-entire-operation-through-bad-backups.html the thing that blows my mind the most is that there is a LMG/LTT sponsor(dollar shave club) on the list.

Hi, I wonder if anyone knows of a way to limit how many messages gmail will download to a client by date (so either "download all messages from mm/dd/yy" or "download all messages from [x years] ago"). I know within gmail itself you can set it to download the most recent 1k, 2k, 5k or 10k messages, but I would prefer to set this by date. I also want to keep ALL messages on the server, I don't want to get rid of anything, just free up space on my drive. This can be for any FREE email client. I think Outlook has a date slider but annoyingly it isn't free and I don't want to spend money on an email client as they're so readily available (yes, I know it's easy to "find" online, but I want to keep things above board here). Thanks for the help!

Hi, so I know most webmails block external css by default, and you should use inline, but I now wonder, if I keep the CSS in the top part of the code will it work? or do you need inline?

Hi everyone, When mulitple users utilize Outlook 2016 on the same computer and sign in with their respective accounts, how does that affect the profiles that appear under Mail in Control panel? For instance, Suzy and John use the same computer because they have different shifts. Suzy signs into Outlook in the morning with her account. John signs in with his account in the afternoon. Can each user have multiple profiles? How are they associated with their respective accounts? What does Mail under Control panel look like if Suzy has 2 profiles under her account, and John has 3 profiles under his account. Let's say Suzy has a Self Employed Business profile and her 9-5 job profile. Let's say John has 9-5 job profile, Self Employed Profile, and is weird and has a profile with his kid's emails inboxes. See what I'm saying? Thanks.

So I just got the creators update for Windows 10, and after seeing the Mail app pinned to my taskbar, and I decided it would be good to finally give the mail app a shot. It's actually really good, and I like it so far. The only problem I have is this: The way I have my Gmail account set up, I keep everything in my inbox and use labels to sort them, as opposed to moving them into labelled folders. Mail (Win10) does not work this way. If I move a topic to a folder on the app, it disappears from my inbox, which is not what I want. Is there a way in Windows 10's mail app to make the app keep the "Inbox" label, and add the (ie.) "Reciepts" label? Even if it requires a registry tweak or something crazy, I wouldn't care. I just really want this to be possible ?

I am going on a trip to Vietnam and have some important mails regarding tickets and such.. They are on my mail, but my Sony Z2 won't show mails that are older than around 3 weeks old. This is a huge problem, since I need to be able to access those specific mails at any time. Anyone that has an idea how to go around this? It would be awesome to somehow download them, so I can access them without internet aswell. Thanks in advance

I hope I am in the right forum to ask this question but if I'm not, please do move it to the appropriate forum. So, after I updated my MacBook to High Sierra, my Hotmail and outlook account on Mail stopped working (it's basically offline and won't sign in no matter how). Gmail and iCloud work fine btw. I've tried removing the account and adding them again but it just won't sign in. I am at my wits end right now and desperately need any help. Feel free to ask me anything I may have glanced over. Thanks in advance

The emails I sent have completely disappeared. They are not in the outbox (or any other folder for that matter) nor do I receive an error message when I send an email. Yet the supposed recipient does not in fact receive the email. I use several other account on, all via Outlook 2013, none of which experience these same problems. I hope someone can help me, as these emails were very important and I am screwed big time...

Hello everyone. Is it possible to change the ports on my Exchange server (Exchange 2013 running on Windows Server 2012 R2) to use another port instead of the default 443? I have found guides on how to change the IIS Outlook Web App website port, but not the actual ExchangeSync port. Does anyone know how to change the Exchange ActiveSync port? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Hello, I am working in one company multinational company that wants to make sensitive data protected as much as possible. In the past we used Dropbox and one server on one location, and accessed data trough Dropbox. Worked perfectly until one laptop got stolen. Then we moved forward, we now have 3 servers in 3 locations, all computers on user and domain, VPN tunneling between servers and so on. Moving in that direction to have everything under our roof, next idea was to have our own mail server. I have found on internet how to make mail server using raspberry pie and that is solution for small number of user, but i have difficulty finding something for larger scale. So i was wondering if someone in this community has more information and point me in right direction how to make this project possible. I am not sure if this is the right place to create topic, if not my apologies. Any help is more than welcome.

Me and a couple of buddies want to create a tower server for the bunch of us. I'm thinking of the next functions: Storage server DNS server (I've got a static IP) Webserver (I've bought a couple of domains already) The hardware i'm planning to use: Ryzen 7 2700 (2 cores for each function and a spare pair to mess around with) Generic 32GB RAM 550W Seasonic focus plus (80 plus platinum) 3 * 8TB Iron Wolf in RAID 5 (Storage server) 3 * 120 GB mSATA SSD's ( already have 3 random cards laying around) Mobo not chosen yet My questions: Should I choose an expensive mobo with most of the needed functions built in or a basic mobo and buy expansion cards (RAID card for HDD's, M.2 SSDs converter)? Should I make 1 huge server with all functionalities baked in or use virtual servers? Any ideas on how I could allocate the SSDs? Is there any way to add new disks to a RAID to expand it without specialized hardware? Extra info: I know I could just buy an older xeon like an E5-2670 v2, but finding the right motherboard is a pain in the derrière Rack mounting is not an option yet. We don't have the space for it At the moment nothing's really mission critical so I don't think we need ECC RAM My budget is €1650 max I've got some basic experience with Windows Server 2012
