I woild like to upgrade to A770 16GB (found used for 300€). My concerne, will it work fine with W10 ltsc (2022 release)? If someone had an opportunity to test.

So, I've been messing around with customizing Windows Installs lately and finally somewhat finished making both a cut down version of LTSC 2019 which skips the OOBE as well as an installer for a bunch of software and tweaks to improve the experience. The Installer is completely separate and can run on any install of LTSC 2019 (haven't tested other versions and because it's messing with custom themes I wouldn't be surprised if it has issues on newer versions) Disclaimer I wouldn't run this under your current install as there's a chance it will break things. You're using this at your own risk. (that being said, I didn't compile the bat scripts so if you want to look at the code it's all there.) Enabled System Startup Sound Added Sound Scheme for Windows 7 Sounds Removed Quick Access and 3D Objects Folder Disabled Game Mode & Game DVR Enabled Hidden Files & File Extensions by default Replaced default text editor with Notepad++ Disabled Action Center, People, and taskview Icon on Taskbar Modified list of new files in context menu (removed contact & rtf, added bat, vbs, and png) Added option to open CMD here (and here as Admin) in context menu Added options to Reload Theme & Restart Explorer in desktop context menu Removed the ability to print script files from the context menu (because Who the fuck prints bat files) It is recommended to Activate Windows PRIOR to running the installer as it has problems with themes because of the restrictions on customizing your pc before activation. if the theme doesn't properly apply properly, just select it from the themes menu Also, another note related to themes, you CAN NOT change the colour the normal way, it will revert every time you unlock your machine. The way to edit it is to either save the theme and copy that theme from: %localappdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\ to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\ and rename it to 'xWin.theme' (replace the theme that's already in there) or manually open that same xWin.theme file and change the below line to a new value: ColorizationColor=0XC48000FF Sorry about that, it's because the theme needs to be re-applied in order to fix a weird issue where some elements revert to white with white text or black with black text. I can't provide download links for the LTSC 2019 ISO but I can link you the script I used for first user setup, my unattend XML file and this Craft Computing video that explains mostly everything you need to do to make it. (You might also need this link to the Windows ADK) firstuser.bat(place this in C:\Windows\) unattend.xml (place this in C:\Windows\System32\Sysprep\) This is just here if you wanted to make an image that skips all the OOBE. (and gives you the option to add programs to it but from my experience it takes significantly longer if you add anything for some reason...) The modified LTSC 2019 image skips directly to the Administrator desktop with a helpful script that allows you to specify and username and password for you account, then logs out and disables the built in Admin account. I tried to switch from Ubuntu back to Windows. However, I don't want to use the regular Windows 10 or Windows 11, since they sucks and filled with useless functions, and that's why I want to install LTSC. Where can I get a copy of Windows 10 LTSC (1809 or 1909)?

Hello, when I first installed W10 LTSC version 1607 back in 2018 it had airplane mode, since then I updated to version 1809, then to 21H2, and in both of these versions there is NO airplane mode, there is no button in the bottom right menu (action center), in the services menu the "radio management service" is present, but when I change it to work automatically or restart it nothing happens, I tried to update my ethernet drivers, I tried resetting the network settings and nothing came up. The airplane mode is present in the lock screen but it's greyed out and I can't click it, also there is no button for it in windows's "network and internet section", I tried typing "reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\RadioManagement\SystemRadioState /ve /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f" in cmd, rebooted my PC, and xD it appeared on my login screen, I was able to click it on and off, but when I did log in it did not appear in my action center, and in my lock screen it is still greyed out (after rebooting again the button for air mode did not appear on my login screen). Any ideas on what I can do to bring it back? My theory is that it might have something to do with the third party program "WinAero Tweaker" that turns off telemetry and other "spooky" stuff in your windows 10, BUT before I had this program on ver. 1809 I still did not have airplane mode, so it might've not made difference.

Friend of mine will be getting a laptop with 3500U. I'll be installing OS for her and I wonder if LTSC will be worth it. I'm familliar with the process and (most) of the advantages/disadvantages of if as I'm using it with my R5 1600 since LTSC was out. Let's not turn the disscusion about how I'll be getting the OS, she is aware how, you are aware how, but aren't allowed to talk about it here or how LTSC isn't recommended for average person, no linux vs windows either, etc. As far as I know 3rd gen Ryzen isn't officially supported. Should I take the risk of possible future problems(I guess with drivers) with LTSC or install her another version(if so which is least annoying)? She doesn't play games and doesn't want to be annoyed by updates, so does the 1903+ scheduler outweight that? I know LTSC is getting security updates, but they aren't annoying and take seconds to complete. Also they don't break stuff like when 1809 was deleting user files (atleast LTSC doesn't do it despite being based on same version).

Hello, As indicated I am looking for Windows 10 LTSC. Is something changed and is it possible to buy somewhere (MS Store, Amazon...) a license key? Back in the past I tested Win 10 LTSB 2016, where everything was so perfect, no windows store, no cortana, no feature updates and much more cool things like that...?

Windows updates got you down? Do you dislike some of the new features of a windows version newer than 1607? You want to avoid any further feature-updates but still get the bug fixes and security patches? You don't care about any Windows 10 features like edge, the WINDOWS STORE (might be actually important to some) or Cortana (or maybe you wish they did not exist)? If your answer to all or most of these questions was a “yes” then you might be a prime candidate for a version of Windows 10 called “LTSB” or “Long-Term Servicing Branch”. This editions intended use case would be critical applications in large businesses. It will only get thoroughly tested security patches, no annoying updates and will forever be on the feature-level of 1607 or the “Anniversary Edition”. It comes without edge, Cortana and even lacks an image viewer. More to that later. It has a special disk-check running at startup which saved my work after a power outage and gets all the features from the “Enterprise” editions of windows. You down? Wanna switch to LTSB? Try all this out in a VM first (I personally use hyper-v, if you don't have a windows pro version then you might wanna give VMware player a try). A few warnings: -this should only be done by more advanced users, you won't really find help on any issues which might be OS related as LTSB is almost strictly used by businesses who talk directly to Microsoft about any problems -not that many drivers come preinstalled (compared to the normal Win10), prepare to spend some time on the internet or even better; grab the latest drivers for all your devices and expansion cards beforehand -microsoft won't sell you a key to this os, more about that later though -as I mentioned before, no windows store Still here? Then let's get started! If you have a legit key of Windows 10 you should connect that with a Microsoft account ( see this article ) in case you'd like to go back to that. Now well start downloading LTSB, not from a Microsoft server but from a site called “The Eye” which is NOT a pirating site. This is completely legal. Windows 10 LTSB from “The Eye” After the download has finished, use Rufus (recommended by Linus) to create a bootable installer USB. If you have troubles getting the PC to boot from your created USB then reformat it and set Rufus to “DD”-mode, this fixed some issues I had myself. Now just install it like any other version of Windows 10. Deactivate the telemetry crap and create a local account. Done. Now over to some programmes I’d recommend: -ImageGlass, a very light yet powerful and versatile image viewer -SpyBot - anti beacon to remove the last bits of tracking -ClassicShell will add better windows search and will enable you to finetune the look of your taskbar. I’ve set mine to fully transparent, just beautiful! Now you are left with an unactivated copy of windows. This might be ok to some, you can just set desktop backgrounds by right-clicking the downloaded image, but others want the “full” experience. Sadly this is not easily possible as MSFT won't sell keys to LTSB to the average joe. Stay away from cracking programmes, please do. You just got a fresh install of Windows, why get malware all over it? Utilising small written lines of batch code that use licensing servers accessible by the public to activate windows is pretty easy. I find this morally ok as there is no way of buying this version and users with existing windows keys already gave Microsoft their money. If they would let me buy it, I would be happy to pay, but they won't. BE CAREFUL! If you find a way of doing this then you NEED to know what you are doing and you NEED to know what that batch file is doing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS AS THIS IS BORDERLINE ILLEGAL Hope you enjoy your update-free windows experience!
