While playing games like Fortnite, Outer Worlds, Ghostwire Tokyo with my GTX 1070, I get frame drops into low 40s-50s at every single setting while looking at areas with buildings for some reason, with 60% GPU and CPU utilization (CPU utilization sometimes goes to 100% but goes back down) while getting these low frames.. All online benchmarks show much higher fps with a setup similiar to mine. Specs below: GTX 1070 Ryzen 5 2400g MSI B350m Pro-Vdh Samsung 2x8 DDR4 2666mhz 2X4 DDR4 2400mhz (Running at 2133 mhz as I cannot enable XMP) Aerocool 600w 80+ bronze PSU Twinmos SATA 512 GB SSD Windows 10 Home I'm also sure that my computer is utilizing the GTX 1070 and not the Vega 8 graphics

So yeah, as the title says I have an underperforming PC, RTX3060Ti i5-12400F 16GB RAM, the cooling is not the problem, The CPU and GPU works as it should work (tested them with HWmonitor etc.), for some reason if I turn off the CFG (Control Flow Guard) Exploit protection than I dont have stuttering but I have still low fps, I have a 1440P monitor it does not matter what resolution do I set in CS:GO it has the same results and same with other games too not only CS:GO, I have a 500W Platinum power supply wich is enough for that spec, I even have high input lag wich is killin me in CS pls help I tried literally everything I just hope somebody will say something that I did not tried yet (I reinstalled windows too)

I updated from a 1660 super to a 3060 ti and I don't notice much of a difference in terms of fps gain. In certain games, such as Warzone 2.0, I get around 70 frames per second, which feels choppy and unsmooth. My frame rate in Tarkov is the same as it is in Warzone. In valorant, I witness people getting 300-500 fps, but I only get 150-250, which decreases to 100 when stuff happens. GTA 5 is also sluggish, with frame rates ranging between 60 and 80 frames per second. I used to get 120 in League of Legends with my old GPU, and I now get around 130 with the 3060ti. My computer seems to be underperforming, and I'm not sure how to improve it. My specs can be seen in my benchmark: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/60974371 Am I being bottlenecked by my cpu or is something just wrong with my pc?

Unexpected Underperformance from 7950x3D and 4090 FE
HuddyTheBuddy posted a topic in Troubleshooting
Hello again everyone! I came back here as I was greatly helped with my last issue (an AIO pump that died) and figured you all could help me diagnose this issue. I recently upgraded my hardware to a 4090 FE back in November and a 7950x3D earlier this month. I've been greatly enjoying the hardware as an animator and a gamer, however have noticed some very strange and seemingly inconsistent performance from my hardware. It began when I redownloaded Fortnite for my PC and noticed right away how bad the performance was. I went ahead and maxed the settings out (which Epic decided to do based on my hardware config anyways), but noticed I was only getting about 80-120 FPS at 1440p. However, the worst part about it was the stuttering. The game would drop to it's knees every 2-5 seconds, stuttering to 10-20 FPS, then shooting back up. I figured it was just the new settings that Epic implemented in the latest chapter, so I lowered the settings all the way down to try and increment my way back up. This became even more confusing when the game would still only run up to 160 FPS, and would still stutter. After checking Task Manager, it looked like my hardware wasn't being fully utilized on both my CPU and GPU (pictured). I chalked it up to Epic just having a rough go at the new update and moved on dealing with it for the time. But then it began to creep into Overwatch 2. This was an actual problem as I play for my university's esports team, and need Overwatch on my PC to practice during my downtime. It thankfully wasn't nearly as bad, but was getting around 250-300FPS at 1440p on medium settings (absolutely unplayable!). I didn't notice any hitching or stuttering in OW2, but it was enough to get me to investigate the problem further. I ran Time Spy Extreme and got a score of around 9000, when the average for my hardware is almost double that. I went through all my settings and made sure to do everything I could. Here's an expansive list: Uninstalled and reinstalled NVIDIA drivers Uninstalled and reinstalled AMD Chipset drivers from AMD's site Made sure NVIDIA Control Panel wasn't doing anything funky (stock settings as far as I can tell) Updated Windows and apps Checked Windows settings to make sure nothing seemed out of place (didn't seem like it) Tried different power plans to no avail Updated my BIOS for my motherboard Checked BIOS settings to make sure everything was turned on properly (EXPO, ReBAR, PBO, etc.) Checked temperatures to make sure CPU and GPU weren't overheating (CPU never hit above 75 C and GPU never hit above 65 C under load) Completely wiped my Windows install and drive and clean installed Made sure to only download necessities as well Tried overclocking both CPU and GPU to see if that could be an issue (got a stable overclock on both and found out I can do a -30 all core offset on curve optimizer [heck yeah] but still didn't resolve my issue [boooooo]) Reran Time Spy to see if anything had changed (it had, but was still massively underperforming) And probably some more that I can't seem to think of at the moment So unfortunately I'm kinda at a loss for what to do or where to go next to try and diagnose the issue as I've never encountered an issue like this before. As far as my computer goes it's wonderful, but as someone who paid for and relies on the hardware I use, I want to make sure that I'm getting the most out of it. If anyone has any suggestions or needs some more info from my end, I'm all ears! Time Spy Results: http://www.3dmark.com/spy/36956302 (also pictured)- 13 replies

Hello everyone! I have been recommended to upgrade my CPU from a Ryzen 5 2600 to a Ryzen 5 5600. Would an upgrade bring an amount of fps which would make the whole deal worthwhile? (Escape From Tarkov, Rust, DayZ, few games that I play) Considering that currently my GPU usage is in the 60-70% range and doesn't go up much higher, which makes me think that it might be CPU bottlenecked. My pc: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMD Ryzen 5 2600 @3700MHz 16 GB DDR4 RAM (two sticks, one in the second the other in the fourth slot) MSI B450 TOMAHAWK Windows 10 Be quiet! 650W Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

So a few months back I could play this game fine, 60 FPS no problem. Now, when I install it and play, I get 10 FPS even in the menus. What the heck is wrong? I tried installing older GPU drivers, I tried infinite ammounts of launch options, I tried different older versions and patches of the game, which ran slightly better but still 15 FPS. Now I installed it on my 6 year old Lenovo B50-70, where it runs FLAWLESS. Just gotta lower the settings. I am completely out of ideas why this could be. Please help, I wanna play this game so bad. My rig: GPU: Sapphire RX470 Nitro (4GB) CPU: i7-4770 HDD: WD Purple 1000GB 7200RPM RAM: 2x 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 Monitor: 1080p 60Hz, DVI-to-HDMI connection Forgot to mention, if this is of any importance, laptop runs on Windows 7, and my PC is on Windows 10. I did try compatibility settings.

Hi All, I've been pulling my hair out since May of 2020 when AMD updated their drivers and killed Rocket League in DX11. Ever since then I've been putting up with 25-55fps in game no matter what resolution or setting I choose. Here is a pic at 2560x1440 in the menu with everything turned on. Here is a pic at 640x480 with everything turned off. As you can see, the fps doesn't even change in the menu. If I force DX9 I can get 250+fps in game easily, but I have to deal with some crashing and textures missing as they no longer officially support it. If anyone has any idea what I could do to fix it that would be amazing. Google searches tend to lead me to issues that aren't related to mine and finding anything DX11 specific is a nightmare. I have a Mac mini 2018 with a Razer core EGPU. Windows 10 latest version drivers all up to date. i7 8700 32Gb DDR4 2400 1Tb NVME AMD RX 5700XT i get 250+ FPS in RL on DX9 70-130fps in shadow of the tomb raider 60-90 in CoD modern warfare its capable, there’s just something wrong!

As the title says I am having problems with my brand new 3060ti. First things first I recently upgraded from a 1060 6gb, I launched a game and realized something was up... the gpu usage was low. I reinstalled windows, installed the newest drivers, and am still having the same problem. I then thought that I was having a RAM issue as I had 2 x 8 GB 3000mhz RAM. So I got 2 x 16 GB 3600 RAM. No performance increase and gpu usage increase. I have tried multiple AAA games : COD Cold War, Warzone, GTAV, Hunt:Showdown, Escape from Tarkov, and most importantly, New World. I have looked through a plethora of posts, and support FAQ's still yet to fix the problem. To add on to this, my fps in these games are definitely worse than any other game benchmarks with the same/worse rig. I have done multiple overall benchmarks and they perform exceptionally well compared to the same rigs on userbenchmark. And yes, I am gaming at 1080p but there still should not be such a huge bottleneck as my cpu in other benchmarks at 1080p with the same rig are a lot better than mine. This problem is very confusing and any suggestions would be great. Here is my RIG : CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x (Stock Cooler)*Will upgrade soon, but temps are fine under 80c(no sign of throttling)* RAM: 2x16GB 3600mhz Corsair RGB Vengeance RAM GPU: MSI Ventus 3x OC 3060ti MOBO: B550 MSI Gaming Plus Monitor: 144hz 1080p MSI .......... Storage: M.2 Samsung 970 Pro 1TB PSU: 1000w 80plus bronze OS: Windows 10 x64 *P.S* Another one of my theories was my cooling yet all temps are completely fine. *Edit* Upgraded CPU cooler. Minimal performance change, still can't crack down on this problem *edited on 10/24/2021*

Specs: GPU: RTX 3070 8GB GAMING OC (rev 2.0) CPU: AMD 5 Ryzen 3600 RAM: Corsair vengeance 16gb 3000mhz MoBo: MSI B550-A-PRO PSU: Corsair RM750W I've been getting low GPU and CPU usage in various games I've been playing (Hell Let Loose, Squad, Tarkov) the usage varies depending what game but is always low, in HLL my GPU can sometimes be 20-40% and CPU around the same. I play on Ultra settings at 1080p resolution. HLL I get 50 FPS, Squad I get 90 FPS, Tarkov is around 70-80 FPS. I've tried various fixes which include: Adjusting Nvidia Panel 3D panel settings e.g turning power management to high performance, setting a few other settings to high performance. I've performed a DDU and installed latest driver and even before that I did I manual uninstall and installed the latest driver. I've updated BIOS, Ive updated MoBo Drivers, I've turned off Xbox Game bar and gaming mode. I've turned off high precision event timer, I've turned off fast boot. I made sure my RAM is Dual Channelling. I reset BIOS and made sure to change RAM MHZ to 3000. My power mode is set to Ryzen High Performance. I feel Like I've done everything at this point. I built this pc about 4 months ago but had a 1050ti in it as I was unable to get my hands on a GPU, and I got my 3070 about a week ago. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey everyone, I think that my 1660 super is underperforming. Just today I was playing overwatch and got a rather low amount of fps I was getting around 40fps with massive frame drops down to 10fps So I turned down the settings within overwatch to the low preset and still got only 50 fps with the framedrops down to 10fps The background tasks that were open were a discord voice call and spotify And I'm using the 12/01/2021 driver When I looked in MSI afterburner I saw that it only reached 53 degrees Celsius Can someone please help? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- System CPU Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX RAM Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3200 C16 GPU Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER OC 6G Case phanteks p500a digital Storage WD Green 240GB M.2 SSD, 2TB HDD 7200rpm, 1TB HDD 7200rpm, 2x 480GB sata SSD PSU Thermaltake Netzteil German Berlin 630W / 80plus / Bronze PSU Display(s) Asus VG249, HP E232, HPE190i Cooling MasterAir MA410M, 6x 140mm fan Keyboard Logitech G512 Mouse Logitech G502 Hero Sound HyperX Cloud Alpha Operating System Windows 10 Home

Hi so recienlty I upgrade from a 1050ti to a 3070ti and I am getting really unstable frames as well as not as high. I looked everywhere from it being a GPU issue to a RAM issue to a CPU issue. I Have: Unistalled and installed drivers twice. Enabled XMP Played on low settings and and had the same issue Played on fps limit set to 60fps and unstable My CPU core hits only 100% when loading into or out of a fortnite game other than that around 50% or less per core Changed power setting in NVIDA and on Windows Looked at many threads from year ago and no result Only game which gives me high fps but also dips down below 60fps is Rainbow Six Seige My Hardware is: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x GPU: Gigabyte 3070ti RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3200MHz (Dual channel) Motherboard: Tomahawk B450 MAX (MSI) PSU: Corsair 750W (80 Gold+) Anymore information Im happy to give. Please can someone help. Thank you

Hello, This might be a bit of a stupid topic since i do get enough FPS to make Minecraft playable but its honestly not at all what it should be on the kind of system I have. I've tried a couple of things allready but anything i did only gets me very few extra FPS. lowering the draw distance only got me about another 30-40 FPS, allocating more or less RAM changed nothing, V-sync is off and setting FPS limits also didnt do anything. reinstalling minecraft completely also did nothing. This is also not an isolated issue just on this PC, I have the same issues on my Razer blade 15 base (3060) i get about the same amount of FPS on both systems despite the vastly different specs. Minecraft is the only game that has such poor performance on both systems. I hope someone here has an idea as to what could be causing this issue and maybe can help me fix it. The screenshots are: Vanilla, Sodium and Sodium with shaders in order.

I have 20-40 Fps while playing Borderlands 3 with a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, an AMD FX 8300 and 12 gb of ram. I know for a fact that these specs should be enough to run this game with consistent 60 FPS. I used GeForce Experience to optimize my game settings and have tried numerous other things. My GPU is only at 50-60 C, I don't have any Background Programs open and for some reason my GPU usage is only between 30% to 80% (often sitting at 50% to 60%). I have the newest driver for my GPU and the newest drivers for my CPU should already be on my Motherboard (at least that is what I have been told). If anyone has any idea of what I could do I would really appreciate the help. My Clock memory on MSI Afterburner and GeForce Experience is always at 3504 mhz (does not change).

Hi there! My friend bought a Ryzen 5 3400g and sent it to me as he doesn't have the rest of the PC to test it yet. I have a Ryzen 5 2600 and a GTX 1070 founders, so I took them out and istalled the 3400g and started to test the processor with the built in vega 11 graphics, but performance was way lower than expected. For example, The Witcher 3 should be playable at 1080p 30-40fps according to most reviews on youtube, but it doesn't reach even 30 fps on 720p ultra low preset. The same happens with other games, Apex Legends should run at 45-50 fps on 1080p but it goes at 30-40 on 720p. To make it short, to get somehow close to framerates as seen on youtube in several videos, I must go down to 720p when all the reviews show the games being played at 1080p. And even with that resolution downgrade I don't reach the framerate seen on the reviews. I tried to install the Adrenalin software but no changes were perceived. If you have any idea of what's going on please let me know, it is the first time I test a ryzen apu and there might be extra setup steps I skipped because of my ignorance. Thank you!

I'm sorry if this isn't the place to post this - let me know if so.. I have tried damn near everything to solve this - The user.cfg hotfix file, vsync, NVIDIA control panel/experience all settings, all of it. Turned off all overlays (origin, nvidia, xbox) and overclocking apps, viva/fraps, killed processes i.e. I'm all out of ideas. Online/offline made no difference, setting all options to low got me 32 fps and ultra @200 resolution scale gets me 26-30?? I'm livid and at the edge of giving up. Playing on Origin, EA Play subscription, from an SSD. GTX 1080 Ti, Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB RAM

When gaming my GPU's usage doesnt go above 65% while the CPU's usage stays around the 40-50% range, doesnt matter what game I'm playing (Escape From Tarkov, Rust, Dayz, just a few that I play) it doesnt change. I have tried overclocking, underclocking my GPU and CPU but that too didnt help. (currently my GPU is on stock and my CPU is overclocked) Few things that I have also tried: Disabling/Enabling Game mode, Putting the power plan on High Performance, In NVIDIA Control Panel changing the Quality, Power management mode on max performance, Updating my GPU driver (with DDU), Reinstalling Windows (I have installed Win 8, 10, 11 but on each the situation didnt change), Running games as administrator, Disabling fullscreen optimizations. My pc: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMD Ryzen 5 2600 @3700MHz 16 GB DDR4 RAM (two sticks, one in the second the other in the fourth slot) MSI B450 TOMAHAWK Windows 10 Be quiet! 650W I will attach a few pictures about scores in benchmark programs (such as CPU-Z, Furmark) Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hello, I'm looking for some help with my system, I am afraid that I have done something wrong because I am getting extremely low FPS for my system on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019. My system has an "bronze certified 750W power supply" with an "aorus b550 elite" with a "Ryzen 7 2700x (water cooled, with a single fan radiator)" and a "Nvidia 2080ti founders edition" "duel channel DDR4 2x 8gb Ram". My modern warfare game is on my "Western Digital 4TB black". My temperatures look good with my CPU never exceeding 62 celsius. My fps on low settings with 90 screen resolution, never exceeds 100 in the warzone map and stays at an average of about 80 and can dip to the low 70 in open fields and more graphically demanding areas of the map. My Nvidia control panel settings are all optimized, and so are my power management setting on my computer. I am debating overclocking all my computer components.

Hey, my ROG Zephyrus M GU502 with a Nvidia 1660ti, i7 9750H is getting unplayable frame rates on FORTNITE(~30 fps) (low settings) and other non-intensive titles. I've updated the game ready drivers and theres no change. I can't play any game on even low settings even though im supposed to be able to! I checked benchmark numbers for the laptop version 1660ti and i should be getting 3 times the frame rates im getting! I've tried everything from making sure my laptop is on high performance mode and making sure it's cooled properly but nothing seems to get more than ~5-10 fps increase. Please help me! This is my only 'gaming' machine and in this crazy quarantine here in India i dont have anything else to do

My i7 7700k, oc to 4.8hz, and GTX 1080 are running games at around 60 FPS, while the CPU is at 100% and GPU at 70%. I already tried reinsalling GeForce drivers, vsync is off, although I have a 144hz display, but games still run lower than what they should. For example: Rainbow Six Siege would run at 140 FPS usually, but now its running at 50/60 FPS with drops to 40. I also tried seeing if the PSU had a problem, but with CPUID HWMonitor it showed that there wasn´t a problem. Please I need a solution so I can play Warzone, thanks in advance.

This is an issue I have been dealing with for a while now. It's been occurring even when I had an i3 7100 and a gtx 1050 (I upgraded, but I still use same Motherboard). For every game I play, there is very low CPU & GPU usage. It can vary depending on the game but its usually around 30% usage for both CPU and GPU. My PC is under performing like crazy compared to anyone else's gameplay with similar specs. As I said, this was still occurring before I upgraded my CPU and GPU. That's what makes me think this is an issue with my motherboard since I don't see what else would effect this. I am inclined to believe this has something to do with hardware since I am not sure what else to do software wise. I am going to upgrade RAM and a new Motherboard since I don't know what else to do GIVE ME ANY SUGGESTION FOR ME TO TRY PLEASE SPECS: i7 7700 (no 'K') gtx 1070ti 8gb DDR4 2400mhz (SINGLE CHANNEL - I am getting another 8gb stick soon) ASUS prime b250m-c (gonna swap this out if i cant fix this issue) WHAT I HAVE TRIED: Fresh install of windows multiple times Wiped my two SSDs No virus since I just got a clean install of windows and haven't downloaded anything other than Steam, MSI Afterburner and RTSS Disabled HPET through Device Manager since it wouldn't show up in my BIOS Intel Virtualization Technology (In BIOS) ON/OFF made minimal difference (OFF increased fps by a bit) My Power Settings are set to performance in the Power Plan I have already put my power setting to Prefer Maximum Performance in NVIDIA Control Panel CPU is set to Sync All Cores in Bios XMP mode ON/OFF made no difference (Not even sure if i was able to turn it off, In BIOS the only options were AUTO or XMP - 2144mhz or XMP - 2400mhz) Gameplay: CSGO (Ingame settings shown) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rqOevrpgCA FORTNITE (Ingame settings shown) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YpNPQfjkXVc FORTNITE with integrated graphics Screenshots of other stuff is attatched
