Hello. I've recently built a PC for my dad, we luckily live in the same house. We are troubleshooting a mic issue. The mic works with his Xbox Series X fine but won't work with the PC at all. The mic isn't picking up very well. We have tried changing its gain in Windows and in other applications, trying different volumes on my side (receiving) and it either doesn't pick up or the volume is so low at the end that you can't hear it. Testing leads it to say anywhere between 3% to 15% at full input volume on windows. His specs are below. GIGABYTE B650M DS3H Ryzen 5 7600x (I disabled the integrated graphics for AMD and Nvidia program issues) NH-D15 32gb (2x16gb) CL32 5600mhz T-Force Vulcan 3060 12gb ASUS Tuf Nvidia WD Black 850X 2TB (Boot Drive) Samsung 990 Pro 4TB (Steam Drive) 1200W 80+ Gold Rosewill PSU The problem is with a Razer Kraken THX Tournament Edition Headset mic. We have used the included USB dongle and a splitter (into the front and back ports). When using the USB THX dongle we did use Razer Synapse and still had no luck. I have also made sure to check BIOs and utility versions for them to be up to date. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I'm confused to why my headphones (Blackshark V2 X) aren't going as loud as they can. Not that I want to kill my eardrums but ever since I changed my motherboard I noticed that the new one (B450 Aorus Pro) produces lower volume than my old one (MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max). I don't use any AMPs or DACs and have just plugged them directly into the back of the motherboard. I'm running them at 32bit 192kHz (I know there's no point in using anything over 24bit 48kHz as there isn't a noticable difference). And don't get me wrong, they get quite loud, but just not quite like on my MSI mobo. Is using an AMP the only way to make them louder?

Hello, I have a problem. I am using Airpods 2nd Generation on my Laptop and its playing very quiet even on 100% of volume. On Windows 10 It would be Loud listening on 100% with Airpods. Is there any way to repair it? I tried to Update Drivers, Unistall and reinstall drivers, unpairing it and pairing it but nothing worked for me. Thank you for your help and have a nice day!

I recently setup a monitor as a tv (using rca/av to hdmi converter) for my grandfather because his tv break. Also for the audio he is using an headphone with a small amplifier. The problem is that the audio signal from the digital set-top box is really low even with full volume. He says that the volume is too low. So I was wondering how do you amplify the audio signal coming to the amplifier? Even a little would make big difference because he can listen clearly if I use the amp with my phone.

Good evening everyone, I'm a first time poster here so please be gentle, I'm delicate. I've been messing about with computers for quite a few years ago, cannibalising old hand-me-downs and fixing the computers of people I know. Anyway, the other day I decided to finally build myself my own, decent computer for college work and programming, which brings me too my issue. I bought an ASrock Extreme4 MB, an Intel i3 6100, 1 8GB DIMM of Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHz and a Corsair 460X. Upon building my computer yesterday all was well, POST and clean boot first time. However, after wiring it up to my AMP through the rear 3.5MM audio port I found that I had to turn the volume on my AMP and computer up quite drastically to achieve the same volume as before. I'm aware that some MBs don't amplify audio out of the rear I/O so I repeated this on the front panel audio with the same result. I tried both ports with my headphones (Sennheiser HD439s, 32 Ohms Independence) and at full volume I could just about hear what was playing. In addition, I attempted to test the front microphone port but upon inserting the cable there was a large pop from the speakers and my system black screened. I cant fathom what is wrong other than a fault with the board. The panel cable is fully inserted into the header. The most up to date drivers are installed. All volume mixers at max. I tested with a spare front panel I/O to check whether it was my 460X but to no prevail. TL;DR - Low audio amplification out of front and rear I/O on ASrock Extreme4 and black screening upon inserting microphone. I appreciate any help. I just want to check that I'm not being an idiot and forgetting something completely obvious before I RMA this board. Thanks in advance.

A week ago i updated windows 10 (updated , not installed...) and after that my sound was like 50% of what it actually is... maybe even less! There are also some new ''enchancements'' but even though i played with them , it didnt rly do any difference. Please help! When i do sound tests or if it kinda ''bugs'' while changing settings on volume in games for example, the sound is heard normally for like a milisecond. Anyway i need some help, probably there is a setting or sth blocking me from having normal sounds

Hello, I need help with my new XLR microphone. I have bought an NW700 microphone with phantom power 48v. I plugged everything correctly and set the volume to 100% +20%db, and it still has low volume and high noise. I tried everything, updated the drives, installing new/different ones, unplugging all the cables, unplugging the phantom power, I tried using an equalizer, restarting my pc...I've been searching for a solution for over 20h+. I tried plugging the 3,5mm jack into my phone and my laptop and it worked perfectly(the sound was clear and there was almost no noise). That means my PC is the issue but can't figure what is the problem. I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me. Thanks, Deka :)

Hello I just switched from my old Corsair 760t case to the Be Quiet Silent Base 800 case. Everything went find but when I tried to play steam games, I noticed the audio is extremely low at the audio level im usually at. Once cranked the volume all the way up to like 70, it became extremely distorted. So I went into VLC player and played a sitcom tv show, the laugh tracks were loud but the dialogues are faint and distorted, almost to a level that it cannot be heard. My motherboard is the MSI Z97 Gaming 5, Ive tried updating the Realtek audio drivers to the latest version, switching the driver to the default HD Windows one, making sure the settings are on stereo and no enhancements are on. Tried both the onboard audio jack and the front panel jack. None of them helped. This has never happened to me before, but I dont understand why it would happen after switching to a new case. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers Edit- Ive also tried playing the default Windows 10 notification tunes, they sound fine.

Hello i just bought the g430 form logitech and i am very confused with the provided sound card when i plug in the headphones the volume drops in very low levels also i can hear myself over the mic which is very annoying and i dont have it in some test mode to justify that. I know that i can connect them directly to the motherboard and all will be fixed but i will loose the surround effects which is the main reason i bought them instead other headphones... did some research on the topic and i didnt fine anything useful. Can anyone help or should i return them?

Hi everyone, A few days ago I replaced my cpu, motherboard and hdds on my system. OLD System (main components) Case: Antec 902 v3 Cpu: i7 950 Mobo: Asus p6x58d-e RAM: corsair vengence 4gb x 3 GPU: Zotac GTX 660 Boot drive: Intel 40gb ssd (Win 7) HDD: WD 1TB (black) New System (main components) Case: Antec 902 v3 Cpu: i7 4790k Mobo: Gigabyte z97x - ud3h-bk RAM: corsair vengence 4gb x 3 GPU: Zotac GTX 660 Boot drive: Samsumg evo 500gb ssd (Win 7) HDD: WD 3TB (black) I was able to clone the ssd and hdd (samsung migration for ssd and Easeus todo backup for hdd). Initally I had some driver conflict when I booted up the computer on the new mobo. I managed to uninstall all the old drivers and then used the driver cd to install the mobo drivers and even updated all of them to the latest version. I The conflict I'm still having is with the back panel audio for the onboard sound. I get very low volume and and crackling at certain frequencies (tried on both my generic creative speaker and Audio technical headphones). When I'm plugging in the speaker into the green port and have it plugged in half way or accidentally touch the jack to the I/o plate I get really strong/loud static noise. Here is the list of solution that I tried with no success: Updated the Realtek HD Audio Manager app (I.e the one installed from the driver cd) to the latest one Used DPC latency checker and it is showing all greens (didn't test it for more than a minute though..should I be doing something while the app is on to test for interference?) Installed Generic Realtek driver for ac1150 codec. Disabled C1E and EIST in the bios Played with the equalizers on Realtek HD Audio Manager (helped to reduce bit of static but its still there and the volume is still very low) Disabled all line/in devices Checked audio with a ubuntu live cd and the problem still persists (does this indicate a hardware issue?) What I find strange is that my front panel that is connected to the HD audio pins on the motherboard works fine with the same speaker and headphones. I still have some more solutions I need to test out, like: Update the bios (currently on F6 version the latest is F7) I have a spare asus xonar dg (PCI) so will try to install it and test if audio will works fine. But this is not a permanent solution as I only have one PCI slot which I'm using for my wireless card adapter (Edimax 7128g) Run Memtest (can this ever be a problem for sound related issues?) Driver Sweeper (I believe I have properly/manually uninstalled all the mobo drivers but going try this app to be sure) Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to solve this? This is the first time I'm installing/replacing a mobo and cpu so should check if there is a wiring issue when I replaced all the parts back into the case. Please let me know if more information is need to help resolve this. I have a few more days left incase I have to RMA the mobo so any pointers would really be helpful before I decide to send it back (if at all). TIA Sreejit S
