I need help. I have a rx 6800 xt MSI Gaming X Trio with a ryzen 7 5800x and 16gb 3600mhz. my pc was running fine for awhile then after a system restart the gpu gets low usage on all games. I’ve tried a couple of benchmark apps like heaven and furmark but heaven gets about 34fps with around 3-8% usage but furmark sits at 298fps and the usage is at 99%. ive tried ddu and a fresh install of windows but nothing has worked.

Hi, so I already went through a lot of threads and posts on all kinds of forums and tried pretty much everything they recommended without much success. This problem though seems to be wide spread. My Problem: Low gpu usage and fps in games in 1080p resolution. I notice this in a lot of my games: farcry 5, cyberpunk, star wars battlefront 2... As soon as I bump up the resolution the usage goes up and I can injoy the games with much higher settings but the same fps. Now you could say it's a cpu limit but with a r7 5800X I thought there would be more headroom. In CP 2077 I am only getting 60-70 fps (1080p ultra ) with dipps into the 40s once in a while. In reviews from gamers nexus for example I saw that with the same preset they got between 70-110 fps. I attached a picture from msi afterburner where I was playing CP2077 and you can clearly see when I switched to 4k in the ingame settings and went back to 1080p. I do not notice these problems with benchmarks like unigin superposition. Where I can easily get around 15200 point in 4k optimized or 29000 points in 1080p ultra. My system: - R7 5800X - MSI rtx 3080 supreme X - 32GB cl16 corsair Vengence RGB at 3200mhz (4slots used) - 850W Corsair platinum power supply (3 individual cables going to my gpu) - asus X570 f gaming Motherboard What I already tried: - reinstall all gpu drivers using ddu in safe mode without internet and fetching the newest drivers from the nvidia site. - updating the bios to the newest version - switching out the ram/only running 2 sticks of Dominator Platinum 3600mhz - turning off gsync - making sure there are no background programs running

I got a new card few days ago, it's an Asus 3060 Ti Dual V2 OC version. It worked fine the first two-three days, but now I started noticing weird thing, like for example really low usage and FPS in GTA 5 at 1080, 50-90 at very high settings. Same thing happening in CP2077, I run it on the RTX Ultra preset at 1080p, but my card still manages to push out 60-70 fps at ~80% usage? I decided to run some 3DMark benchmarks and here are the results: Firestrike settings Firestrike scores TimeSpy settings TimeSpy scores Also note that I have it running with an undervolt at 943 mV and 1995 MHz. It usually stays between 60 and 70 degrees C. Other PC specs are 3700X, X470 aorus ultra gaming motherboard, 2x8gb @ 3200mhz, and edg650 650W psu. If you need any other info ask.

Hello, for about two weeks I´m having some problems in a few games. It started when I tried playing Far Cry 6, set my settings and all, played a bit and then when I for example leave a workbench or the menu, I suddenly get like 0.5 Fps ( Capped the game at 60 Fps and was getting 60 consistently) I started searching for a problem and when I look at the utilization I can see that my CPU and GPU are at 3-10%. I already updatet my bios, installed the newest graphics drivers and reinstalled the game, nothing worked. Altough if I activate fidelityfx in Far Cry 6 it helps a bit. Tried playing Gta V today and got the same problem, I can play for 5-20 minutes and then the same problem. I also looked at the temps and GPU had 85 C max at hot spot and CPU had 68 C Specs: CPU: Ryzen 3600 @4.2Ghz GPU: RTX 2080 Asus Strix OC Mainboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX Ram: 2x 8gb G.Skill Ripjaws 3200mhz Psu: be quiet Pure Power 11 600 Watt Storage: Crucial P1 1tb, Crucial MX500 500gb, Seagate Barracuda 2tb Thanks in advance (sorry for typos, not a native english speaker)

I have posted about this problem I've been having with my pc before, where I start a game and it runs just fine for about 10-20 minutes and then theres intense fps spikes and lag that got fixed only if I shut down the pc and turnt it back on, it looped like this. I was not sure what to do so I messed around with some settings but nothing seemed to work. I decided to check my afterburner and see what was happening during these fps spikes and noticed low gpu usage and I'm not sure how to fix it. Thanks in advance for anyone replying to the post, this has been pretty frustrating so any help is great! Specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/TowersFlowers/saved/9KDDcf I know looking at the whole spec list is boring so I have an i7 8700k CPU and a 1080ti GPU, they've never had thermal issues since I swapped the old gpu cooler for a new one, max temps reach 72C with a throttle temp of 84C. CPU stays nice and cool too with a corsair AIO.

I have i7 8700K, 32gb Ram 3000mhz, and recently purchased RTX 3080 Ti, with 850w psu and 1080p 144hz monitor, I know that 1080p monitor is a bottleneck for such gpu. (I will purchase 2K or 4K monitor when I finish moving to new house) In Rust at 1080p I'm getting 20% - 35% GPU usage & 40% - 60% CPU usage as well as random frametime spikes, when I use DSR to get 2K resolution, GPU usage goes up to 40% - 60% and the game still stutters with random FPS swings from 50 to 80. When I'm at the beach, I get over 125+ FPS. GTA 5 also loads GPU around 40% at 1080p with really low fps around 50 - 67 in Online. Cyberpunk also never loads GPU more than 60% at 1080p ultra setting with RTX on. The only time I've seen GPU being used to 80% was at 4K in Rust. I have never had any stutters with my old GPU (I had good old 1060), and I've tried uninstalling GPU drivers with UUD, but that did absolutely nothing with my issue Benchmarks like FurMark loads GPU to 99% without any problems & the temps stays at 70c The only thing I haven't tried yet is clean windows install.

Short version? For a user who will only be using their PC for web-browsing, email, and other assorted low-energy tasks, will the stock Intel CPU cooler be enough? Long version? My mother is a retired teacher, but still does a bunch of babysitting and care-giving work in her neighborhood. For the last several years, she's been orchestrating all of this via email on her phone, and as you may imagine, that brings a fair number of headaches with it. Attachments frequently won't load, she can't directly print out important documents she gets sent, so on and so forth. So to help alleviate those headaches, I offered to build her a new computer since I've recently finished building my own, and did so problem free. We ordered all the parts last night, including a Corsair AIO CPU cooler, but I found out this morning that apparently, the i3 7100 CPU we ordered actually comes with its own stock cooler. This caught me off guard, because I was under the impression that Intel no longer included coolers with their CPUs. Especially since the i7 6700k I bought for my rig a few months ago didn't come with one. Granted, now that I've said that "out loud", I realize that it makes no sense on Intel's part to include a stock cooler on an enthusiast-grade chip, since the user would almost certainly replace it anyway for the sake of overclocking. In any case, my question remains the same. For a user who won't be doing anything other than web-browsing, email, word processing, and document printing, would a stock Intel cooler be sufficient to keep the CPU safely cool?

Hello boys and gals, So, my 1070 has been acting out lately. Hadn't played Battlefield 1 since a month and today I played (with the new spring patch installed for the first time) and noticed fps in the region of 40 (both on ultra and low). I checked my gpu usage in Afterburner and saw a ~40% usage (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) which is pretty weird. Cpu runs on 80%-90% usage, which it does always on bf1. Next up, unturned. You know, that F2P game on steam with Minecraft-y graphics? Well im getting 30-40fps there too, with stuttering (both ultra and low). So wtf is going on with my Strix 1070 (running on +150mhz core, +500mhz memory and yes, I tried w/o overclock, no change)? Driver is 381.89 which i just installed to see if there was any change (there isn't). Please help me! Thank you!

So I recently installed folding@home on my (debian) root server, since it has been doing jackall and I figured I might as well put it to good use, since I don't pay for electricity and the likes. But I noticed, that the CPU usage was always sitting at about 8%. Is there any way I can crank it up? For all I care it could be doing 80%... The server is headless btw

Should I RMA my Zotac GTX 1060 Amp! Edition 6gb? I'm having a problem with my fps in games in ultra 1920x1080 settings, and now benchmarks are very below than the average expected GTX performance. Here are the scores in 3D Mark Fire Strike. Note: I already updated and clean installed my nvidia drivers and updated windows.

I have noticed that in some games (namely Escape from Tarkov and PUBG) i get much worse fps than I should i feel like. My gpu usage sometimes goes up to 99% and then i geat great fps, but mostly I get a not so smooth experience with somewhere between 50-70% gpu load. And before everyone start typing "CPU BOTTLE OMG" i have tried running my 7700k at 4.8Ghz and there is no difference to stock, I never get 100% usage on my cpu and never 100% usage on a single core either. Mostly it's at about 50% on one or two cores. I'm not throttling and i'm constantly at the speed I set on the cpu. I'm using an Asus Poseidon GTX 1080 ti and a 7700k with 16gb of 3000Mhz Corsair RGB ram. My resolution is 2560x1080 (Benq XR3501). If it matters I use a pair of 480gb Kingston A400 ssds in raid0 (bois raid). Note that in games like BF1 i play on ultra preset (no DX12) and 125% res scale and get 100fps. Now I know BF1 is much more well opimized than the early access games I named earlier but still. 70fps in pubg with 120% res scale and everything on high except Textures, AA and View Distance which are on ultra. My friend playing with the same settings @1440p (7700k @stock and 1080ti as well) gets 20 more fps. As I said I don't get even close to 100% usage on any core of the cpu. Thanks in advance

I have the same problem, no cpu bottleneck. My temps are fine and I did all the things people have wrote in the thread my gpu usage stays around 50-60% and maxes out sometimes at like mid 60s. I ran a benchmark with heaven and my gpu went to 100% so I was very confused. Can anyone help me thanks! So, I am expieriencing wierd fps when gaming. For example, when I Play fortnite i get to 180fps easily, but it also easily Drops down to under 10 to 4fps when in Lobby, turning quickly etc. It also Kind of feels like my pc is Kind of stuck and when I Play i Need to get him going cause the first round it almost explodes and i have 4 to 100 fps (a diagram should look like Draculas teeth). After a few rounds it gets more stable, almost likei have to pull my pc out of sand or sth. but when i played a few rounds, it still fluctuates, just not that hard anymore. And for a competetive game/ Player i really Need consistant fps. (Not only fortnite, also tried bf1 and same, and minecraft where i am roughly getting 140 fps with a 128x128 texture pack and small shader wich shouldnt bee that low with my Setup)! I have already tried several Things: 1. I installed all new Drivers and stuff 2. I tried Software related Things off YouTube (fps fluctuating, low cpu/ gpu usage, etc but it all was basically optimize game, lower graphics, power plan to high, but i dont htink such Things can make that huge of a difference) 3. I upgraded my Hardware (from 1050ti to 1070oc, as this didnt help i upgraded from Intel Pentium g4560 to ryzen5 1600x aaaand my Mainboard from asrock h110m to asrock fatal1ty gaming x x370) 4. I checked the temps of my Hardware (cpu 40, gpu 40- 60°C) Sidenote: My usage while playing fortnite is cpu 40 to 50% and gpu constant 40%. Ram is around 6gb Setup: Ryzen 5 1600x (not oc) GTX 1070oc (bought oc) Asrock fatal1ty x370 gaming x 8gb ddr4 RAM (i bought 2400mhz but in cpuid cpu-z it Shows 3200mhz) Update: i just played mc without any mods etc. and am now gettig 30 to 60 fps and 4 - 8% usage on cpu gpu wtf Update2: I have noticed when my fps drop my gpu usage Drops as well

So yesterday i bought the asus h370-f and a i7 8700k, installed it with my gtx 1070ti that i had before the cpu and motherboard update and saw that i only use 40% of my cpu in cs go and only 30% in GTA. The problem is that also the gpu usage is very low in gta. With my specs i only get 250 fps in cs and 80 in gta. Thanks for the help in advance! (btw im german so sorry for the grammar mistakes)

Hi everyone, for some reason my MSI Vega 64 Air Boost OC has FPS going under 60 in SOME 1080p games. For starters these games aren’t even that demanding such as Fortnite and unmodded Skyrim SE yet they have pretty bad FPS. I do not have chill or any FPS limiting settings on and my card is undervolted and at a very aggressive fan curve. I have reinstalled the drivers atleast 5 times with and without DDU and reset Windows 10 once. I believe the problem comes the low GPU usage and core clocks since they are hovering around 60% and 1200 MHz in both of the games I mentioned. Even with the settings cranked or on the lowest, my GPU is underperforming in those games. Benchmarks and other games work perfectly fine and maxing out, but it seems to only be in a handful of games. I have tested a variety of driver versions but nothing has really changed. SPECS CPU: i7 3770 (Old but has low usage and shouldn’t limit FPS THAT bad) GPU: MSI Vega 64 Airboost OC RAM: 16GB DDR3 1333 MHz Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 PSU: CX650m Storage: WD Blue 1TB HDD and Kingston A400 SSD I have contacted AMD support about it and in the meantime, any ideas would help greatly.

All of my game run a 15% GPU usage. and not more than that. i try so many thing to try to fix my Issue. Few Exemple down here. 1-Disable HPET 2- Set powersaving to Perfomance in every place possible like Nvidia Control panel 3- Set GPU 1080ti ass my main GPU even if he chose it automatically 4- Trying to overclocking GPU or other part like (CPU-RAM) 5- Update my driver to the most recent version And much more ! I need tips or help. i saw someone getting the same issue and he fix it by Full Reboot is PC. but i dont want chose this option because i have so much stuff to keep and i wan't intall everything PC- Aorus 1080TI Nvidia 1060 (i only use this GPU Dedicate to my stream to keep the performance max out of my 1080TI when i stream on twitch) Z270 Asrock Fatality K6 4x8 DDR4 3200MAH (32G) Intel I7 7700k Window 10 Version 1909 NVME 500G Storage HDD 1TO Backup save Storage any idea or tips ? (More information)- Seen like only my CPu hit 40-60% on everygame. and sometime hit 70%!!

Hi everyone, I own a GALAX GTX 1080 TI EXOC, Earlier today I had problems with it not using the oc boost in games and always lowering itself. I just now noticed that the GPU usage is very low aswell. For example, in Borderlands 2 my GPU usage is at 25% and CPU at 70%. For some reason in GTA V, it goes as low as 5% and the game starts completely lagging. Temperatures on both the GPU and CPU stay VERY low. As if theyre not even working. I have no clue why, will appreciate some help or ideas i5 6600K GTX 1080TI 16GB RAM FHD Monitor 60hz 750W PSU *I do have a CPU bottleneck, I'm using 6600k (soon upgrading to 7700k which is the best cpu my MB supports because I dont want to upgrade it) so if its a bottleneck problem, that'd be understandable, but not to the point where GTA V runs at 15 FPS because of it. *I have reinstalled the drivers using DDU in safe mode, didn't change anything.

Hey Hope i got the right section to post this in, if not please just move it where it should be. Anyways, I was playing Half Life Alyx today and i noticed that the usage of my CPU and GPU was horrible. My GPU was sitting at about 70% the whole time while my CPU was chilling with only about 40-50% usage. When i boot up the game it tells me that my GPU memory is low, but i have a 2080ti, there is not really anything more than that. Also when i look at msi afterburners graphs, it was using about 9gb, which is not maxed out. Closed all programms i didnt use to free up more memory, still displaying that message when starting the game. Am i missing something?

Like the title says, while playing games my GPU usage stays at 0% usage, not matter the graphics settings. I tried to play Battlefield 5 but it was unplayble due to lag and stutter while my graphics card sat at about 0% and went up to 5% at most. These were the fixes I tried: -Changed the power plan on Windows to High performance. -Checked to see if in that power plan PCIExpress power management was off. -On Nvidias control panel selected the correct GPU instead of being automatic on the 3D settings. -Still on the 3D settings page I picked maximum performance on the power management. -Uninstalled GeForce Experience and redownloaded the driver from their website. -Installed a fresh version of Windows, installed all the drivers, didn't install GeForce Experience but installed the drivers from the website. -Updated BIOS to the newest version. After all of these fixes, yesterday the game ran fine but today the problem is back. I also had this problem last week when playing Metro Exodus, so the problem isn't Battlefield 5. Games are completly unplayable, with heavy stutters, really bad framerates that I shouldn't be getting with this build. I saw a post claiming it could be a bottleneck that can cause the problem but I don't think that's a problem here. Here are the specs: -AMD Ryzen 7 3700x -Gigabyte RTX 2070 super Gaming OC -16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600MHz Cl16 -MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon Max Wifi -Corsair CX650M Semi Modular PSU -Crucial P1 500GB -Seagate Barracuda 2tb (currently not in use) Is there any other fixes I can try? Because this computer is brand new, it shouldn't be having these kinds of problems.

Hello all, I have this big problem, just bought myself the new Huawei Matebook X Pro with the aorus gaming box 1080. Most of the time it does wonders, I play Rocket League ant 3k rez max everything and its about 62 fps, but when I try to play Insurgency Sandstorm, BF1 or BF4 it only pulls about 20-30 fps at 1080p low everything!!!!! Then I checked the eGpu usage and found out that it only uses 12-23% of the gpu while in other games like Rocket League it hovers around 96-99%. If you find anythig I would really appreciate if you would let me know. Thank you in advance.

Hey guys, i have been having problems in all my games recently. In Battlefield 1 for example my gpu usage sits at 50% to 60% and my cpu usage at 80% to 100% causing an 40-60 fps, and when the cpu usage hits 100% the game freezes for 1-2 seconds.Almost the same thing with the division where gpu usage is 40% to 50% and cpu usage 80% to 90% and the fps floats about 40-80 and the same thing happens when the cpu usage hits 100%. Temperatures are fine on both games I ran UserBenchmark: http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/9517603. And ran Heaven Benchmark an got a score of 2809.58. In both benchmarks the gpu had 98% to 99% usage and in Heaven i had 70 degrees with the i7 4790k and 76 with the 1080.My Specs: GTX 1080 GIGABYTE G1 GAMINGINTEL CORE I7-4790K (No OC)SEAGATE HDD 1TBSEAGATE HDD 3TBSANDISK SSD 120GBCORSAIR VENGEANCE RED 8GB RAM DDR3EVGA 700W 80PLUS BRONZE PSUWATERCOOLER MAELSTROM 120T DEEPCOOL 120MMASUS B85M-E/BR MOTHERBOARD That BF1 screenshot shows my issue, most of the time i got 30-40 fps with 40% gpu usage.
