Hello, I’m getting low GPU usage and low FPS every single game(except cs2 is around 90% (full setting and 170-200 fps which i think it’s low?)) It doesn’t matter what setting I’m using. I’m trying every game low/ultra, 1080p or 1440p, DLSS on/off. In low gpu usage down a little bit but fps stays same. I try with every game I have (cs2, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, Rust, Forza, GTA 5) but I only have a couple of screenshots. I run 3dmark Spy Test and while gpu is testing it hit 100% usage. But later today I run furmark burn test for 20 minutes, most of the time I got 100% and 210 fps but I realized sometimes it dropped 70% usage and when that happened fps down around 160. Recently a well known youtuber from my area uploaded fps test for the same gpu and every game he got 99% usage and much higher fps(some of them same games I have) I used my rig with GTX 1060 couple days after that I removed drivers with DDU and installed new GPU. Deleted everything that can interfere with gpu but nothing changed. Installed clean win10 and win11 and nothing changed. Updated BIOS but nothing changed. Turned off XMP nothing changed, put higher mhz nothing changed. Tried with 1080p monitor and 1440p monitor and both at the same time, nothing changed. My previous rig had 100% cpu usage every time so I don’t think I have CPU bottleneck. And I know people are selling lower cpu’s with same gpu and there is no bottleneck. The only thing that isn’t new in the system is the PSU. I have 2 different GPU output from psu(not modular) and connected them into converter I got from inside GPU box(sorry for bad english ) Only problem I can think psu is not enough but if so why I got 99% usage in test? (I’m not an expert just thinking) My rig: CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X GPU: MSI RTX 4070 Gaming X Trio MOBO: MSI B550 Gaming Plus RAM: Kingston Fury Beast 32 GB 3600MHz CL18 SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB PSU: 750W 80+ Bronze OS: Windows 11 Pro Monitör: 1440p 165Hz and 1080p 144Hz UserBenchmark test: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/65201365 Screenshots from rust and cod with on/off DLSS (fps wont change but you can see while it’s off usage is little bit higher) Every game is the same I just have screenshots just for these. https://ibb.co/VBTYWKL - https://ibb.co/0hW7gT5 - https://ibb.co/FzsSk3D - https://ibb.co/WWJxCR2 - https://ibb.co/pJvCzFg - https://ibb.co/D5s84CC -

just an example but this applies to almost every game Ryzen 5 5500 A520m k v2 RTX 3080 16 gigs 3600 - single channel yes ik its and issue already have another stick on the way just hoped to save some money (but i dont think it would result is such a huge performance loss) gpu usage is almost always below 50% in every single game and it wont go higher in cyber punk i can set the game to high settings and get 50fps and i will get the same fps on low (i dont remember the exact framerates i just reinstalled windows completely fresh so copying files rn) while i understand R5 5500 isnt the best value for the money i got both the motherboard and the cpu for 145$ brand new so i went for it. the card is used but doesn't appear to have any issues and got a score of 17k on furmurk which is rights around where a 3080 should be Ive tried reinstalling everything from drivers to windows. reinstalled the ram and gpu. cleared bios and tried it too (yes ram is at 3600 but i xmp gives me a black screen so i have it done manually) -- This is a benchmark i saw on youtube cyber punk on higher https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktKCHElEmfI i just cant figure out what the issue is appart from the single channel memory. the cooler seems to be on fine the cpu temps are fine. Im completely lost.

Hi all, So I am back again after a year to bring you the same problem, except this time with the new Beta for COD MW3. So, the same problem is back again and this time I still have no true solution. I had the game running for literally 6 months with no issues and then I just had to go and uninstall for space reasons. Then I go to download the game and what do you know, it is back to running at 7-15 fps and using 7% cpu and 10% gpu will in menus and maintaining that during multiplayer. So I tried what I had before: -Verify game files -reinstalled the game -set cpu priority to low and high -set cpu affinity to all but cpu 0 -changes some of the game files to specify to use 8 cores -made sure xmp was turned on in bios -turned efficiency cores off and on -checked if graphics drivers are up to date/rolled back updates -updated bios and drivers for everything I have on my computer Ultimately we are back to square one of hoping I can keep trying something until it works again. If ANYONE has found a working solution or have suggestions for me to try please let me know! I am running on a high end PC for anyone wondering if my specs can't run. I was getting over 200+ fps at 1440p for that 6 month period.

Hello, I recently pair amd rx 560 4gb with my i5 3470. While playing valorant if i lower my graphical setting my gpu usage went to low plus clock speed comes between 400-600 Mhz and the cpu goes to 100% and start stuttering But when I bring my graphical setting up it provides consistent frame time graph

Specs: R5 2600 (OC to 4Ghz) EVGA RTX 2060 XC Ultra Gaming OC (Overclocked to roughly 1950mhz) Patriot Viper 4 16 (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory MSI B450i Gaming Plus AC Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard This issue honestly isn't a huge deal to me because I don't play getting over much except for on occasion to relax a bit, and this issue is not carrying over to any other titles that I play. I'm mostly just curious about what's causing this and I'm a bit stumped. Maybe you guys can help me solve the mystery. I normally get 165fps with maxed out settings on 1080p playing this title (my monitor is 165hz refresh rate). When I opened it this evening though, I noticed that the frames were much lower than normal. 120fps is the new high end, 85 is about the new low end. I looked at my GPU usage on afterburner and it will not go above 50% for some reason while playing his game. All my other games get full utilization but not this one. No the issue is not thermal related, my temperatures on GPU and CPU stay below 70 degrees C for the most part. No the issue is not a CPU bottleneck. The CPU has not reached anything higher than about 70% I think while playing. I have my power settings set to prefer maximum power and my GPU is set to always put out as many frames as it can in the nvidia control panel. I don't think the issue is RAM related, because if it were then I would not be seeing normal performance in other titles. Like I said, this one has genuinely got me stumped. If anyone out there has any ideas, I'm all ears as I'm super curious to find out what's going on here.

Games aren't utilizing all of my gpu power and on average is only using %30. I used to be able to run Minecraft with Sildurs shaders at 100+ fps at 98% gpu usage, and now I get around 40 fps with %30 gpu usage. The cpu is still the same at about %15 usage which is normal for Minecraft. I seem have no temp problems for either gpu or cpu. I've tried turning nvidia and windows power setting to performance and also turned off V-sync in nvidia settings. I even tried overclocking with MSi Afterburner and still nothing has worked. Anyone got any Ideas? NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 on GA106-A GPU 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700F @ 2.50GHz 16.0 GB RAM 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 10 Update: I found when playing Mordhau the gpu hits around %98, so I don't think this has any thing to do with power issues. Still Minecraft uses less than %40 of gpu. I've recently factory reset my pc and and install the latest drivers and I'm still having the same problem.

hello, hopefully a simple issue, i haven't yet found a fix for the issue. i recently connected a second display (55' 1080p tv) for certain games that won't display correctly on 3440x1440(main monitor). now the issue is when i first tried to play fallout 4(all other games have the issue) on the tv, it would run at very low fps(30 or less), and the usage would be at 50% or less. i messed with a bunch of settings, and eventually thought i fixed the issue. now it will have the issue, but it will be random depending on which screen i am playing a game on, and all games have the issue, including halo infinite which was just installed.. if i disconnect one of the screens, no games have the issue, so it has something to do with both being connected. so far i have tried all in game settings, no avail, and tried messing with nvidia control panel, and power management, none seems to fix it, and i'm not really sure which might be causing the issue. i am running windows 11, not sure if that may be the problem, also registry is edited for taskbar on top(not sure if that could cause issues). thanks for any input/ideas. relevant specs: 3700x tuf x570 gaming plus zotac rtx 3070 twin edge oc trident z neo 2x8 3600 cl16 2x 1tb crucial p1 nvme(game drives) 1 is on a pci card 1x 500gb 970 evo plus(boot drive) 1tb hdd/ 2tb hdd(media storage) corsair rm750 aoc cu34g2x 3440x1440 vizio 55' 1080p Windows 11 pro edit: meant to post this in troubleshooting addition: forgot to mention, not sure if it is related, but i am also getting a strange random flicker towards the top of the screen, happens on either screen, or both screens. kinda like the top third of the screen flickers black for a split second.

I am experiencing what seems to be either hardware or driver related issues with my pc while gaming. Before I get into it, here are my specs: -Ryzen 5 1600af overclocked to 4.1ghz -EVGA rtx 2080 super XC ultra (latest drivers,) (2100mhz core clock, 8200mhz memory) -16gb (2x8gb) Corsair vengeance memory at 3200mhz XMP profile - Aorus B450 pro wifi motherboard (Bios ver. 61) -750w 80+ bronze EVGA power supply BR series -Resolution is 2560x1440 at 144hz on a viewsonic monitor Recently, my FPS has been down from an average of about 260-300, to between 90 and 130 in my primary game; Rainbow Six Siege. The game has been stuttering, and full on rubber banding at times with the icon even coming on to tell me that I am not rendering enough frames to take advantage of my 144hz monitor. My temps on GPU are between 45-55 degrees and CPU temps are between 55-65 degrees Celsius while gaming. The CPU usage never goes past 60-70%, and GPU usage never hits 65-70%. Memory usage is 6.7-7.0 GB out of 16 GB. All drivers are up to date, and as far as I know I have no fps limiters, or any software dragging my performance down. All NVIDIA control panel and windows power settings are set to high performance, and in game settings are only using 4.4gb out of 8gb of vram. I have seen both success and failure with using Razer Cortex system booster software, which helps some days, or does nothing on others. Last night was by far the worst gaming experience I’ve had though and nothing I tried to do seemed to help. If more info is needed such as benchmarks, screenshots, etc. I can tag those files at a later date. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have a laptop with a i5-8265U and a UHD620....whenever I play any HD/4k/8K video...i get high cpu usage and very low GPU usage for some reason.... when playing a 8k video when playing a 4k video when playing a 1080p video open hardware monitor also shows the same kind of loads...100% cpu and around 30%GPU for 4k and 8k I have tried -->restart -->driver restart -->chrome reinstallation -->driver reinstallation after uninstalling and deleting the existing drivers (tried both from intel's website and asus's website) Also recently many games like BeamNG,Forza Horizon 4 seem to lead my laptop to a BSOD with a VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR and if my laptop does not end with a BSOD...windows disables the GPU driver of my UHD620...stating an error something like "the component is disabled as it did not work as expected" i never had these issues before....recently facing these issues only for around a month

Soo, I'm 14 had a job over the summer to pay for a new pc. I bought this pc less than a month ago, and no I did not build one because of gpu prices. It is a hoP pavilion prebuilt with a i3 10100 1650 super and 8gb of ram. For storage i have a 250 gb intel optane m.2 ssd and a 1tb western digital blue. My problem is that as soon as I got the pc, I realized that my temps are normal for a prebuilt, but the gpu and cpu usage is extremely low. For example in Rust, a gpu intensive game, I get about 50% of both gpu and cpu usage and this is even on the highest settings possible. On Call of Duty Warzone, i get around 70% of both in game. In games like Minecraft im getting about 20% gpu and about 10%cpu usage. I have tried everything I can think of and watched way to many youtube videos and read way to many forms. I did a full reset of my gpu drivers using ddu, ive checked bios for anything, but did not see much because the bios is limited. I have even changed everything to high performance in nvidia control panel. pls someone help me this is starting to piss me off. Keep in mind even when games are maxed, expect warzone cuz that is way to much vram.

Hi guys , I hope no one's running into issues like me. So I have a system with these specs : ~CPU : Ryzen 7 3700x ~GPU : Gtx 1070ti Strix ~Storage : 256gb Xpg nvme / 2tb HDD Seagate Barracuda. ~OS : win 10 ~PSU : 1000w thermaltake ~Cooling: stock AMD RGB cooler(CPU). ~RAM: 2×8 (16gb) @ 3200mhz Corsair RGB. ~Mobo: Asus prime B550m •Problem: i have stuttering/ FPS drops/low GPU usage/ GPU usage fluctuations and high latency In all games. I never had these issues before , so before these issues my GPU would be fully utilized i.e 98% ~ 99% my CPU would change its clock speeds normally and its usage was around 30~40%. •Attempted solutions: *Tried reinstalling drivers/reverting back to older drivers. *Tried changingpowerplan to maximum performance for GPU & CPU. *Tried resetting PC in Windows settings. *Tried clean caches and optimizing drives. *Tried running all games in full screen, vsync disabled & ran them as administrator. *updated bios through Asus armoury crate. *Did furmark tests & monitored using HW monitor. *GPU temps 70°~75° when underload & CPU temps 62°~70° Max for both . *Disabled full screen optimizations for all games *Set priority high , hardware acceleration on , high performance for all games in graphics settings in Windows. *Nvme temps 60° Max and HDD 50° Max & Ram 55° Max. *Disabled any kind of overlays and disabled gamemode. *CPU clock is now fixed @4.5ghz on all cores because I oc it , before it were between 3.9 and 4ghz. *Tried oc the GPU . Also noticed cck or core clock fluctuations during monitoring as it went from 1773 to 1835 or 1822 however memory clock was fine. PLEASE HELP ME

Hello, I have an optimus laptop and I had a problem where it maxes out CPU usage and only barely uses the gpu to reach a target of an approximate of 60fps which doesn't sound too bad in theory but in reality I get an extremely inconsistent 40-55 fps even in super light games (TF2 for example, where I get 100% cpu usage and 10%~ gpu usage) the worst part is it drops to unplayable numbers after any kind of movement in game. Switching to dual channel ram from single channel actually fixed the problem a few years ago, until now... I went from 2x4gb at 2400mhz to 2x8gb 3200mhz reduced to 2400 since that's the max my laptop supports. Any ideas as to why changing the ram and still being in dual channel (as shown by CPU-Z) brought the problem back? (By the way I've tried setting games to only use the dedicated GPU, there wasn't a difference.)

i recently upgraded this Christmas from a gtx 970 to a rtx 3070, installed it correctly and it runs perfecting in other games (overwatch, Red Dead Redemption 2, StarCraft 2, Gta 5) but the main game i bought it for is Cod MW WZ, i average in game around 70fps on ultra at 1080p with Low LOWS of 30fps, my Gpu usage in Msi Afterburner is around 40% max where my Cpu usage is around 95-99%, My rig is a i7-4790 3.6Ghz with 16gig DDR3 ram and a RTX 3070 with a 750w psu. i have trouble shooted this issue since Christmas day and still have found no fix. Most people on reddit say its bottlenecking or just bad game optimization, please it would make my new year so sweet if i could play war zone at 144+ fps on ultra settings. Help would Be MUCH APRECIATED

Hey guys, new the this forum, I need some help my problem is only occuring iwhile playing games, I am unable to push more than 30% of my gpu power, i tracked it with MSI after burner, the game is only pushing my graphic card to 30% of its limit which is really weird, I am not the only one facing this issue sadly, for example, league of legends; at spawn its at 40% usage, and im getting 220 frames easily, but once game starts and i go into lane etc... It drops to 110 frames with only 20%-25% of my graphic card power being used, keep in mind this is on HIGHEST settings with anti aliasing turned on and up to x16 on the nvidia program settings, that doesnt only apply to my gpu, my cpu only pushes up to 40-50%, league is more CPU bound which explains why more cpu is being used than gpu, but even still 50%? like really? in that case im better off with a 1650 or a 1050, which ACTUALLY go to 70-80% of their power and I get around a steady 160 frames or so that I used to get, Im literally searching everywhere online for a solution, cant seem to find one sadly as some people have accepted it. however I get 200 fps on rainbow 6 seige on ULTRA settings easily while remaining below 70 degrees EASILY with 90-98 gpu usage. But in Warzone, gpu usage is around 50-60% max settings render resolution set to 100 or up to 150, and no matter which setting i choose frames will stay around 70 fps. my power plan is set to ultimate preformance, MSI dragon center is set to extreme preformance, nvidia control panel settings are maxed out, I chose max quality since that makes gpu usage higher (tried to chose preformance didnt work frames didnt go up), and ofcourse my graphic card preference is set to nvidia high preforming graphics card (rtx 2070) If anyone has any solutions or suggestions please let me know

Hi, I have recently bought an 'Enthusiast' level gaming rig. This was a huge and emotional investment for myself as I not only use the system for gaming but also making games, which is my occupation. I have made a completely new pc build and ever since the upgrade my experience has been a living hell. Specs: CPU - Ryzen 5950x GPU - Asus Strix 3090 OC RAM - 64GB 3600mhz PSU - Corsair Ax1600w Motherboard - X570 Aorus Elite Monitors - 3x 1080p 240hz I have witnessed my GPU Usage stuck on -1%, I have no idea what could be causing this issue, please help me if you are experienced with this? More Info: I have power usage set to high on both windows and nvidia control panel. I cheaped out on the motherboard and wondering if this could be a cause for the issue? I have an open case system with a fan constantly blowing at the motherboard at a safe distance until my lian li case comes through. MY CORSAIR PSU FANS ARE NOT SPINNING? But they spin really fast on start up? I did not install a fresh copy of windows and previous have had a 1060GTX on the same storage which I uninstalled the drivers for and reinstalled the 3090 drivers using GEFORCE Experience. Feel free to ask away any questions, I would really appreciate if you can help me as I use this PC to work especially during covid and my work has been greatly hindered due to my pc being unresponsive and stuttering.

Hi. I've been looking around for a solution since I bought the card 3 days ago and its driving me crazy!! I have a problem with my MSI GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO My setup is: MSI GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO. X570-F Gaming. 16GB G.Skillz 3200mhz XMP, two sticks, A2-B2 slot. 850W PSU. Ryzen 5 3600 with a Noctua NH-U12S mounted, which has two fans mounted as well. Fractal Design Focus G case with two intake fans infront, 2 outtake fans on top Samsung 970 EVO Plus SSD M.2 2280 - 1TB for my games CPU is not overclocked. In most games like GTA V, Cyberpunk and Rust the games performance is very bad compared to what I thought. GPU usage is approx. 50% in all games, and CPU is about 50% too. GTA V with max settings on 1440p I get roughly 60fps, dips to 45fps. Changing settings don't really do a difference. I play without V Sync and Frame Scaling. Cyberpunk is also about 45fps in the city and about 70fps outside town. Rust roams about 60-70fps most places. Runs pretty well with my Valve Index, in Half Life: Alyx. Only got mild lag spikes a few times throughout two hours of VR adventure. My RX 5700XT ran games better than this RTX 3080. What is up with that? I've tried removing driver with DDU in safe mode, and installing it again. I've changed PSU cables so the GPU has 3 separate cables. Can this be a driver issue? My current driver is version 460.89 I did a userbenchmark test as well Asus ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING Performance Results - UserBenchmark

Hello, I've been having troubles with gaming recently where I had a really high fps at some areas (120-144) and it came down to 50-70 on city crowded areas. Funny thing is the usage of both cpu and gpu goes down as well as my fps by simply looking at this cities and crowded areas but when I turn my camera to my foot, my fps goes high up as well as cpu and gpu usage. There are games that I stopped playing because of this issue and I'd like to include them to the list of suspected games that had a massive fps decrease. I'm about to upgrade to a R5 3700x and a b450m mortar max mobo because of this issue. SUSPECTED GAMES: borderlands 3 (same goes for the Tow, during fights my fps would go down to 50 from 120 fps on the intro, also looking at buildings reduces fps.) Ultra settings Euro truck simulator (This is the game that I'm playing r.n,FPS is 135-144 FPS on the highway but reduces to 70 when on cities.) dishonored 2 (same goes for borderlands and the outer worlds) medium-high settings Metro Exodus (looking to the town from the train on Volga reduces fps) ultra settings Rotrr (same goes. Someone told me to upgrade my ram and it worked but still now that I'm using a 144hz monitor I think fps is still less.) It's weird that my cpu and gpu usage goes down when my fps goes down too, they go high when there aren't any things to render. 144hz 24" 1080p monitor amd 20.2.2 Ryzen 5 2600 stock (47c at idle temp, 70-80 during loads?) ambient temp is 33c (It's pretty hot here) RX 5700 XT stock (50c idle temp, 70-85 during loads) 16GB 2x8 @3200mhz A320 msi motherboard teamgoup ssd wd hdd 7200rpm

I have a somewhat decent gaming laptop that is under performing due to such low gpu usage (9%-30% while gaming) and high cpu usage (80%-90% while gaming). It has 16 gb of ddr4 ram at 2600mhz, I7 7700Hq 2.7ghz, Gtx 1050ti 4gb vram and every single game i play it under performs severely. I have done just about anything to fix this besides going to my local micro center witch i kinda the last option because money is a little tight right now. I have overclocked, undervolted, configured NVIDIA control panel, installed latest drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, factory reset the laptop. My temps are really high cpu can hit upwards of 87C and gpu no higher than 85C. Now when i say underperforming i mean fortnite on lowest settings possible running at 40fps, Gta 5 running at 20fps low settings. My friend has a laptop with the exact same specs as mine but seems to run fortnite lowest settings at 140-160 fps constant Gta 5 online medium 60-50fps. I have looked every where and the solution i find is to factory reset the pc or to install new drivers and tweak nvidia control panel. I have done each of these multiple times and nothing has worked. Does anyone know whats could be happening. Anyways thank you all.

Hey everyone! I recently built my new PC with a RTX 2080 Super and for some reason I'm getting very low GPU usage like 10%-30% in games like GTA V, Hitman 1 & 2, Red Dead Redemption, Modern Warfare, and many more. I've spent hours trying to figure it out but haven't found a solution. I have tried Setting the 'Power management mode' in NVIDIA control panel to 'Prefer Maximum Performance', enabling the High Performance power plan in Windows, ensuring VSync is off in-game and in the NVIDIA control panel, reinstalling drivers, resetting windows as well. I've never tried to overclock my PC yet and need helping doing so. All the parts are listed below and any advice is very much appreciated. Thank you!
