Hi, So i have repasted 4 times like in a 6 months period and i have even replaced the both laptop's fans with new ones but i see no improvement in temperatures. What i'm doing wrong? few things from side: - Using laptop Cooler - Vents are clear - Bios Up to date - Room temp not high - No virus or anything, fresh installation I can not under-volt because of my Bios update version with Intel XTU, neither under-volting works with throttlestop. So under-volting is not possible. CPU temps go to 100C even with loads like 10-30%, where as GPU is fine at 99% of load. Please help.

I ran some benchmarks (UserBenchmark and PassMark) and they both tell me that my pc is running below its capacity, compared to other similar PCs. More specifically, the problem seems to be with the graphics card. I have a Ryzen 5 5500 with a RTX 3070 (I know there is bottleneck in this configuration), but when I watch videos on YouTube of games running in this configuration, they all run much higher than I can get. Also, I recently installed the new Horizon Forbidden West, and I got an average of 40 FPS running everything on very low at 1080p. Something is wrong, but I don't know what else I can check. Any tips, suspicions? I bought this card at the beginning of last year, but it was used. It is a version of Gainward (Phoenix) that has LHR. Could it be that if it was used for mining, the graphics chip may be "tired" causing low performance? Is there anything I can validate on my own? Well, I did everything I could do with basic recommendations I received on Reddit. GPU Driver: most up-to-date possible (551.86). BIOS: most up-to-date possible F19 (AORUS B550M v1.3). All drivers updated. RAM XMP active. All AMD video drivers deleted (deleted with DDU). Resizable Bar enabled. I didn't notice any FPS improvement. As I said initially, I have no errors or problems, only extremely low performance for the GPU, given the comparisons with the same GPU + CPU combo that I researched online. Would anyone have any more tips or have gone through something similar that they managed to solve? To consolidate, below are all the links to prints and benchmarks that I have done so far: Passmark: https://www.passmark.com/baselines/V11/display.php?id=206562112913 GPU-Z: https://gpuz.techpowerup.com/24/03/30/hru.png https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/636/vkhjNm.png(Horizon FW in game prtscrn) https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/3243/RMF53e.png(3D Mark Demo - Print 1) https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/6237/WNtBQd.png(3D Mark Demo - Print 2) https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/7117/OxvFPP.png(3D Mark Demo - Print 3) https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/9027/GiM0d4.png(CPUZ) https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/3707/O63x0Y.png(CPUZ) https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img922/3862/wkGdzi.png(CPUZ) https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img923/1589/ydOwRg.png(CPUZ) https://imagizer.imageshack.com/img924/8166/28I7qR.png(CPUZ) GPU installation: Full picture of Mobo (AORUS B550M v1.3): https://static.gigabyte.com/StaticFile/Image/Global/883819369cb3d1be25acc0ba9d5e72ab/Product/32692

Hello, I have been having stuttering and low performance issues on my desktop pc for a very long time now and I am unsure of what the problem could be. I just recently upgraded nearly everything in my pc and I still continue to have stuttering problems. I have ran tests on all my components and none seem to be faulty or underperforming. None of my temps are out of wack and all stay at cool temperature even under stress. I just recently reset my pc and updated to windows 11, but this too seemed to have no effect. Some games I typically run on this pc are Fortnite, Minecraft, COD, and Roblox which aren't crazy demanding games, but I still have problems running the games at high and consistent framerate even at low settings. Like I said, nearly all of my components are new and did not fix my problem with low fps and stutters. I just recently went to a friend's house who has a pc of similar specs with a RTX 3060 and an i7 13700k which runs infinitely smoother and better in every way. Please help me as I am completely lost on what my problem could be. Here are my specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 5700x GPU: RTX 3060ti MOBO: Gigabyte A520M S2H RAM: OLOy DDR4 RAM 16GB (2x8GB) 3200 MHz (only old component) PSU: Thermaltake Smart 600W 80+ White

Hi there, I recently built a custom PC and am experiencing very low frame rates (even lower than my old machine) in all of the games I play. My new PC has a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, an Asus (TUF) branded RTX 4070, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, an X670E AUROS MASTER motherboard, and all the games are installed on a 2TB SSD. I ran Minecraft at normal settings and was getting around 10 fps in the main menu, and 5 fps actually playing. I also ran BeamNG.drive at normal settings and was getting around 20 - 25 fps. The CPU usage was around 25 - 30%, the RAM usage was around 30 - 35%, and the GPU usage was around 20 - 30% on both games. Both of these fps stats are far worse than my old PC which had a 9th gen Intel i5 and a GTX 1660, getting 100 - 120 fps on Minecraft and 130 - 135 fps on BeamNG.drive. I really need to fix this, as I use my computers for a lot of things. Does anyone know of any common solutions that I could do to fix this? If more context is needed, I'll be happy to provide it.

I am having trouble with a recently purchased Gigabyte gaming oc rtx 3070. Previously, I had a gtx 1650 and could play games without any stuttering or fps drops, I would just get low fps because it was a bad card. However, with my new rtx3070 I have been unable to play any games. When playing Fortnite on low or high quality settings, directx 11 or 12, vsync on or off, I am getting nearly 160fps that every couple seconds drops to <20 fps and it hitches and stutters constantly, especially when panning. If I try to enable RTX then the game crashes. Minecraft plays without the stuttering, however it still isn't amazing and if I try to enable RTX, even on low render distance, the game crashes. Some of the things I have tried: -DDU driver uninstaller and reinstalled latest drivers. -Tried changing to pcie gen 3 -Set it to pcie gen 4 instead of auto -performed a clean boot with all options disabled in msconfig and task manager startup. -Ran a virus scan -under clocked gpu by 100mhz -checked and confirmed that cpu is not overclocked -updated bios version -checked thermals and everything is ok. cpu stayed below 60 and gpu below 70 -checked cpu core utilization and no single thread reached 100% -Checked memory for errors with windows memory diagnostic in advanced mode and found no errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hi all, So I am back again after a year to bring you the same problem, except this time with the new Beta for COD MW3. So, the same problem is back again and this time I still have no true solution. I had the game running for literally 6 months with no issues and then I just had to go and uninstall for space reasons. Then I go to download the game and what do you know, it is back to running at 7-15 fps and using 7% cpu and 10% gpu will in menus and maintaining that during multiplayer. So I tried what I had before: -Verify game files -reinstalled the game -set cpu priority to low and high -set cpu affinity to all but cpu 0 -changes some of the game files to specify to use 8 cores -made sure xmp was turned on in bios -turned efficiency cores off and on -checked if graphics drivers are up to date/rolled back updates -updated bios and drivers for everything I have on my computer Ultimately we are back to square one of hoping I can keep trying something until it works again. If ANYONE has found a working solution or have suggestions for me to try please let me know! I am running on a high end PC for anyone wondering if my specs can't run. I was getting over 200+ fps at 1440p for that 6 month period.

My specs: -GPU: MSI RTX 4080 Suprim -CPU: i7 13700k -CPU Cooler: Corsair iCue Link H100i (240mm) -Motherboard: Asus Z790-P Prime WIFI -Memory: 16GBx2 (32GB) G Skill 6000mhz DDR5 -Storage: 2TB Crucial M.2, 500GB SATA SSD, 2TB HDD -PSU: MSI 850W Gold -Corsair Commander Fan Controller, RGB hub, Corsair iCue Link Hub -Bios version is current (I think?) I built this new PC about 10 days ago. It booted right up and benchmarked exactly as it should without overclocking. I've been played Starfield every day since with no issues. I noticed a bubbling noise from my AIO radiator. So after some research, I decided to move my radiator up as far as it would go (even though it was already higher than the pump.) While I had it apart, I also did some cable management. I unplugged the USB connectors for my fan controllers, my front panel audio connector, and my 24-pin connector for my GPU. Once I got it back together, GeForce Experience told me I had a driver update for my GPU. So I installed the driver and ran Starfield. The AIO noise was gone, but my FPS was around 70-80 and it looked very choppy (I was getting 150-200 FPS before on the same settings.) CPU temps were 60-70°C under load, and GPU was 40-50°C. The first thing I did was shut it down and check all of my connections. Everything looked fine. So I used DDU to roll back my Nvidia driver to the previous version. No luck. I triple-checked all of my connectors and then proceeded to take the PC apart entirely and put it back together. No change. I ran Time Spy on 3DMark and I actually scored slightly higher than my first benchmark right after I built it. The only noticeable change was my CPU and GPU temps were both averaging about 5-7° hotter, but the temps were still absolutely fine. And Starfield still looks horrible. I also tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I don't really have any other games to test because I don't have a reference for them from before I started having issues. I have some sensor logs from HWinfo, but I honestly don't know how to decipher most of it. It all looks fine to me. XMP is enabled, and my Display Port cable is plugged into my GPU. I'm at a loss. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello, recently i was playing COD and I was getting about 60-90 fps on warzone. I have 2k monitor and wondering why the low fps. I do have a decent rig but I'm guessing its due to bottlenecking. I used an online bottlenecking calculator and it gave me a 13% score. I have listed the parts of my pc below, if anyone could give me some suggestions and which CPU to upgrade too as the calculator said its cause of the CPU. Thank you. I'm just getting into streaming and I'm playing a 7 year old game with a 7 year old video card. (GTX 1080). I noticed I was dropping frames in the heat of the action. Previously, when I wasn't streaming, I was able to get 140+ FPS with it rarely if ever dropping below 60-70FPS. So, I decided to invest in a new GPU. I bought the XFX 319 Radeon 6950 XT card, and a new Corsair 1000W PSU (was using 650 before) to pair with it. I installed the AMD drivers, rebooted, and it was just as bad, if not worse. Even with OBS off, I still only get 80FPS, with ALL settings on LOW and playing solo in the training grounds!! So, I found DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to uninstall BOTH drivers, from safe mode (one at a time, rebooting in between). After that, I rebooted into normal mode, and reinstalled the AMD drivers. The problem is still here! I really don't want to format and reinstall windows... What else should I try to troubleshoot this issue? I imagine on low settings, I should be getting maxed out on FPS (300+) with this card. Please help! Other system specs: - Ryzen 7 3700X - ASUSTek x570 Prime - 48GB RAM

I have a M27Q IPS 170 Hz monitor and a LG IPS 60 Hz monitor from 2015. I have no problems running games like God of War, Resident evil 4 remake or Battlefield 2042 on an unlocked FPS. However, when I lock them in 60 fps mode, they begin to stutter badly, with or without Vsync, Free sync on or off, or turning on 60 Hz mode. The same happens on games locked at 60 fps, like Elden Ring and Fighting Games, or on old games with no option for a high refresh rate. My PC specs are: Processor: Intel Core 12700k Motherboard: Asus Prime z690-a GPU: AMD 6700 RX Memory single stick RAM Kingston DDR5 16GB 5200Mhz Fury Beast Black x1 NVME SN750 BLACK 3400MB/S PSU 750W Corsair Silver Certificate Plz help, i tried everything

Laptopl: Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 SNID: 11002133634 CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz (4,20 GHz max) RAM: 32 GB @ 3200 MHz GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX3060 (85w) Windows 11 Home x64 BIOS version: V2.06 So like the tittle says, my CPU is underclocking when under stress, I've had this problem for quite a while but I've been able to work around it, but I'm getting tired of the random FPS drops when playing games. I've recently updated my OS to Windows 11 but I've had this problem for around 6 months or so while using Windows 10, it started with weird underclocks right from the computer start, the clock speed would lock at 1,80 GHz but after a restart it would go back to normal, and after 2 weeks or so the problem was gone, a month after, whenever I would start any resource intensive app (even games like War Thunder that only make the CPU usage go to 60~%) the speed would go from 4,20 GHz to 3,70 or so and stay there, restarting the PC wouldn't fix it anymore and it's been like that for 5 months now, updating drivers, cleaning and updating the RAM as well as changing the thermal paste didn't work, also tried to change the settings on the energy plans and no fix either, I've noticed something weird tho, the fan speed on the Nitro Sense app seems to be quite slower for he CPU, although I don't think this is the problem, the CPU used to go up to 90° when gaming when I bought it, now it rarely gets to 80° or 70°, because of this the fans rarely get to high speeds on their own too, but as shown later on this post, a single core seems to be hitting higher temperatures than the others, which isn't shown by Nitro Sense or any app that gets the temperature of the CPU as a whole. Another weird thing is that even tho the CPU reaches it's max speed of 4,20 GHz the speed seems very unstable, jumping from 3,90 to 4,45 and inbetween constantly, these screenshots were taken seconds apart from each other Now here's a screenshot of the CPU being stressed by CPU-Z. As soon as the CPU hit 100% usage the speed dropped to 3,70 and slowly kept going down to 3,60, after 1 minute went down to 3,50, but as soon as the stress test is stopped this happened: The speed picks up as if nothing happened, weird behavior was noticed in the voltage used by the CPU, and using Core Temp a single core seems to go up in temperature very quickly Running normally Not even 1 second after stress test starts If anyone knows how this problem could be fixed, please let me know

I've switched back to water cooling after a long hiatus. And I've run into an issue that I haven't experienced before. My GPU is drawing less power i.e. Watts than before, which has impacted the FPS in gaming. This is something I haven't experienced before. The GPU is a XFX THICC III 5700XT Ultra. I did switch out the old thermal pads for thermal grizzly, but I don't think that could cause any issues, as the PC powers on and there are no black screens / hangs / crashes. Google search on this issue only brings up how to lower power consumption, which doesn't directly deal with what I am experiencing. I'm using Hardware Monitor, MSI Afterburner and AMD Radeon to monitor the power consumption, which is driving me nuts. Even a full Furmark / Prime95 Test is not pushing past 60 watts of power consumption. Before, this use to be around the 200-255 watt mark. Specs: Ryzen 5 5600x CPU 32GB Corsair Ram 3600MHZ Ram XFX THICC III 5700XT Ultra (Owned for almost 5 years now) Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite Motherboard Power: Bequiet Straight Power 11 Gold 750 watt. What I've done so far to try and fix it: 1. Swapping out the previous VGA / PCIE. Before, it was one 8pin to two separate 6+2. Now its 2x 8pins to 6+2. 2. DDU Fresh Drivers / Rollbacks 3. Default Performance settings for the Card 4. Bios Update 5. Turned off / on Re-size Bar and AMD Smart Access Memory I'm just short of draining my water build and opening the Graphics Card to have a look if there is anything unusual. But I'm not sure that's the issue. Everything seems to running well, even as I type this. The issues are in multiple games I've tested over the last 2-3 Days. None of my games, with the lowest settings set, are able to crack 30fps minimum. I'm honestly boggled. Short of draining, reapplying paste and giving it another go, I might have to fork out a few thousand for a new GPU, (Australian Prices for GPUs are shocking) which I'm trying to avoid at all costs. Looking to see if the community has bumped into this issue. I feel like I've attacked multiple issue solving angles here. Not sure. Provide your input and I'll be happy to answer any questions / queries. I'll be checking this throughout the day too. Thanks for the Read!

Hello, so I've been trying to figure out why my framerate in minecraft with shaders is so low, and my gpu usage is low as well, peaking at 50%, and usually sitting at around 10-20. I have allocated 6 gigs of ram for minecraft, and have an r5 1600 and an rx 5700. I am using bsl shaders on the medium present, no settings changed except vigentte and motion blur disabled. I get anywhere from 5-40 fps, and get 100-200 fps without the shaders, so I don't think it's a cpu bottleneck. I seem to get low framerate regardless of what settings I use, except completely turning them off. Is there any optifine setting or shader setting that tanks performance on amd cards? Also, is there anything I should change in the driver settings? edit: forgot to say what my render distance was. I have it set to 24, but this was tested on hypixel in the main lobby, away from any people, so it's whatever render distance is the maximum on hypixel edit 2: I found this solution elsewhere, would this do anything if I could somehow replicate it on amd? "Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings, and set Threaded Optimization to Off, and Low Latency Mode to Off." edit 3: I apparently did notr have 6 gb allocated, and only had 2. I forgot to do that after reinstalling minecraft.

my friends not very tech savy and called me to help but im stumped. so when every they play a game, mostly play minecraft but any game, there fps starts ok at 50-60 fps but drops after some time to 3-4 and them goes back up. its a laptop with a I-5 and UHD graphic, LISTEN i know specs suck but thats should be enough for minecraft and the game shows it cna by running fine. the cpu and gpu dont take enough load to warrant the drop. when running and doing the low fram thing they both hover around %75 usage i think its thermals which i will be checking and ill leave a update righttttt (thermals are fine) <here until then i want suggestions on fixes because it might not be, some info. 6 months old so dust shouldnt be a problem and bios and drivers are up to date. game is on lowest settings, i will be showing them how to optifine for better performance sorry for bad grammar^

Hello, I recently got a rtx 3070 aours and for some reason i dont get the fps i was supposed to get i think, basically i had a rx5700xt sapphire nitro pulse and fps was better, also the other 2 problems i have is that if you can see CPU MHz is only 4025, when i built my pc it used to stay constantly at 4.2 ghz , not it does not , sometimes it goes even under 4000 mhz, not only in COD but in other games as well, never hits 4.2 ghz maximum 4055 mhz and i dont understand why, also my GPU usage wont go over 80% the only game that does that is resident evil 3. Can you guys please help me to fix the CPU to be back at 4.2 ghz? thank you . IT IS A R5 3600

Some weeks ago i started getting low fps in games like csgo that i used to get ~250 and now im getting 90. I don't know what is causing these bad frame rates. I already formated my pc twice, i reinstaled my drivers and downloaded some drivers from december 2020, SWITCHED THE GPU and nothing. I have zero ideas. Specs: 1600af // 16GB DDR4 3000mhz // GTX 1650 (before: 1050ti) sometimes when i start the game i have good fps but after 5min they comes down again and stay in the 100s fps. my temps are good (55º GPU // 60ºCPU)

Hello, since everyone is talking about bottlenecks, I thought I might bring out my long running issue with vr. I've made psots about this before, but I often get very low vr performance, at 45 fps, and some what low framerate in some games such as battlefront 2. I don't know if the vr issue is a software problem, or a problem with my headset, but I was wondering if my cpu or ram might be causing the problem. My cpu is a ryzen 5 1600 AE, an rx 5700, and I have 16 gigabytes of ram running at 2400mhz. The reason for the low speed is that I have 4 sticks of ram installed, and for some reason get instability at any higher speeds. So, my question is, would upgrading to a 3600 and/or swapping to 2 sticks of 8gig ram help with my issues. Not currently looking to fix the ram issue, but if you know how to fix that, I would like to know as well. Edit: Okay, so I did some additional testing. In Half-life alyx at the low preset, it seems I'm having massive spikes in cpu frame time, and gpu frame time is also fairly high. I also am not running into any cpu bottlenecks, though my cpu usage is higher than my gpu usage. My cpu usage was around 50%, and my gpu usage was around 30%. However, I found something. I tried out Echo Vr, which is an Oculus store game, and found that it ran almost flawlessly. Fpsvr doesn't work with games on the Oculus store, so I can't give exact numbers, but it definitely felt smooth, and while it isn't as demanding as half-life alyx, I'm wondering if steamvr is the issue.
