Hi all, So I am back again after a year to bring you the same problem, except this time with the new Beta for COD MW3. So, the same problem is back again and this time I still have no true solution. I had the game running for literally 6 months with no issues and then I just had to go and uninstall for space reasons. Then I go to download the game and what do you know, it is back to running at 7-15 fps and using 7% cpu and 10% gpu will in menus and maintaining that during multiplayer. So I tried what I had before: -Verify game files -reinstalled the game -set cpu priority to low and high -set cpu affinity to all but cpu 0 -changes some of the game files to specify to use 8 cores -made sure xmp was turned on in bios -turned efficiency cores off and on -checked if graphics drivers are up to date/rolled back updates -updated bios and drivers for everything I have on my computer Ultimately we are back to square one of hoping I can keep trying something until it works again. If ANYONE has found a working solution or have suggestions for me to try please let me know! I am running on a high end PC for anyone wondering if my specs can't run. I was getting over 200+ fps at 1440p for that 6 month period.

Games aren't utilizing all of my gpu power and on average is only using %30. I used to be able to run Minecraft with Sildurs shaders at 100+ fps at 98% gpu usage, and now I get around 40 fps with %30 gpu usage. The cpu is still the same at about %15 usage which is normal for Minecraft. I seem have no temp problems for either gpu or cpu. I've tried turning nvidia and windows power setting to performance and also turned off V-sync in nvidia settings. I even tried overclocking with MSi Afterburner and still nothing has worked. Anyone got any Ideas? NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 on GA106-A GPU 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11700F @ 2.50GHz 16.0 GB RAM 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 10 Update: I found when playing Mordhau the gpu hits around %98, so I don't think this has any thing to do with power issues. Still Minecraft uses less than %40 of gpu. I've recently factory reset my pc and and install the latest drivers and I'm still having the same problem.

Soo, I'm 14 had a job over the summer to pay for a new pc. I bought this pc less than a month ago, and no I did not build one because of gpu prices. It is a hoP pavilion prebuilt with a i3 10100 1650 super and 8gb of ram. For storage i have a 250 gb intel optane m.2 ssd and a 1tb western digital blue. My problem is that as soon as I got the pc, I realized that my temps are normal for a prebuilt, but the gpu and cpu usage is extremely low. For example in Rust, a gpu intensive game, I get about 50% of both gpu and cpu usage and this is even on the highest settings possible. On Call of Duty Warzone, i get around 70% of both in game. In games like Minecraft im getting about 20% gpu and about 10%cpu usage. I have tried everything I can think of and watched way to many youtube videos and read way to many forms. I did a full reset of my gpu drivers using ddu, ive checked bios for anything, but did not see much because the bios is limited. I have even changed everything to high performance in nvidia control panel. pls someone help me this is starting to piss me off. Keep in mind even when games are maxed, expect warzone cuz that is way to much vram.

Hi, I have recently bought an 'Enthusiast' level gaming rig. This was a huge and emotional investment for myself as I not only use the system for gaming but also making games, which is my occupation. I have made a completely new pc build and ever since the upgrade my experience has been a living hell. Specs: CPU - Ryzen 5950x GPU - Asus Strix 3090 OC RAM - 64GB 3600mhz PSU - Corsair Ax1600w Motherboard - X570 Aorus Elite Monitors - 3x 1080p 240hz I have witnessed my GPU Usage stuck on -1%, I have no idea what could be causing this issue, please help me if you are experienced with this? More Info: I have power usage set to high on both windows and nvidia control panel. I cheaped out on the motherboard and wondering if this could be a cause for the issue? I have an open case system with a fan constantly blowing at the motherboard at a safe distance until my lian li case comes through. MY CORSAIR PSU FANS ARE NOT SPINNING? But they spin really fast on start up? I did not install a fresh copy of windows and previous have had a 1060GTX on the same storage which I uninstalled the drivers for and reinstalled the 3090 drivers using GEFORCE Experience. Feel free to ask away any questions, I would really appreciate if you can help me as I use this PC to work especially during covid and my work has been greatly hindered due to my pc being unresponsive and stuttering.

My Specs are: RTX 3060 Ti, i5-12400F, 16GB RAM 3200Mhz, 1440p 165hz monitor In CS:GO witch is more of a cpu demanding game, I only have 30%ish CPU usage and the GPU is the same on low settings, on higher settings The CPU stays the same but the GPU goes up to 70 even 80%, multi-core rendering enabled in-game to be clear, when Im not ingame I can see my cpu goes up to higher usage% but in-game it never moves, even in other games, and I have low fps in CS:GO, even stutters, instead of 500-600fps (what others have with the same build) I have 250-300 and even drops into the 100`s, I updated every driver possible turned off-on G-sync etc. Any suggestions?

Hello, I've been having troubles with gaming recently where I had a really high fps at some areas (120-144) and it came down to 50-70 on city crowded areas. Funny thing is the usage of both cpu and gpu goes down as well as my fps by simply looking at this cities and crowded areas but when I turn my camera to my foot, my fps goes high up as well as cpu and gpu usage. There are games that I stopped playing because of this issue and I'd like to include them to the list of suspected games that had a massive fps decrease. I'm about to upgrade to a R5 3700x and a b450m mortar max mobo because of this issue. SUSPECTED GAMES: borderlands 3 (same goes for the Tow, during fights my fps would go down to 50 from 120 fps on the intro, also looking at buildings reduces fps.) Ultra settings Euro truck simulator (This is the game that I'm playing r.n,FPS is 135-144 FPS on the highway but reduces to 70 when on cities.) dishonored 2 (same goes for borderlands and the outer worlds) medium-high settings Metro Exodus (looking to the town from the train on Volga reduces fps) ultra settings Rotrr (same goes. Someone told me to upgrade my ram and it worked but still now that I'm using a 144hz monitor I think fps is still less.) It's weird that my cpu and gpu usage goes down when my fps goes down too, they go high when there aren't any things to render. 144hz 24" 1080p monitor amd 20.2.2 Ryzen 5 2600 stock (47c at idle temp, 70-80 during loads?) ambient temp is 33c (It's pretty hot here) RX 5700 XT stock (50c idle temp, 70-85 during loads) 16GB 2x8 @3200mhz A320 msi motherboard teamgoup ssd wd hdd 7200rpm

Hello there, So I recently upgraded my PC from an Intel i5 4690K paired with an MSI R9 390 on an ASUS Z97-A to a Ryzen 7 1700 with an ASUS ROG GTX 1080 Ti Strix on an ASUS Prime x370 Pro Motherboard with two 8GB Corsair RAM sticks. Both HDD's, the SSD and the PSU (EVGA B2 750W) are being used in the new build as well. So after having finished the build, I naturally started testing some games, like Cities Skylines, CIV VI, The Witcher 3, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Far Cry Primal, Hitman or Watch Dogs 2. And here's the problem. Almost all of them are running on low FPS - like 60ish. Considering that almost all of these games were running at a minimum of 70-80 FPS on High to Ultra settings on my previous build, reaching 60 FPS, with the Witcher 3 being the exception reaching about 70 FPS, is really slow for this new build. The funny thing is those FPS are the same on ALL settings. You would think, if it's a hardware related problem, the frames would tank, if you, for example, set Super Samling x2 in Hitman, but no, it stays exactly the same, with just the GPU usage going up a little, meaning there is undoubtedly more FPS to be gained, if there was no problem. I've also noticed that in Hitman, for example, the game is at about 150 FPS while at the loading screen and then suddenly drops to about 58 FPS, so I think it's somehow being forced to go down that much. I'm using a Freesync 1080P monitor, which I had bought for my previous AMD build. However, I did not disable Freesync, as it is permitting me to play at 75Hz compared to the 60Hz if disabled. I tried disabling it, but it's still the exact same. I also tried unplugging my second monitor, but that did not help either. However, there is one thing that is somewhat strange. I just installed Titanfall 2 on my PC and I'm getting very high FPS (around 150 FPS) as it should be, so maybe it's a problem with all the games? I didn't think of reinstalling them, as it's kind of a pain to do so. Also, I tried using both DX11 and DX 12 on most of the games, if they supported them both and was getting the same results. Also, VSync was disabled too. So I had a look at MSI Afterburner, and the GPU was not being exhausted at all, hovering between 30-50% and staying relatively cool at about 55°C, with a maximum of 65°C. Looking at RyzenMaster and HWmonitor for the CPU usage, I noticed the same thing: CPU staying at about 40-50% usage, while reaching a maximum of about 55°C. Looking at the task manager, I saw that there were no background applications running that would drastically decrease performance. Just the likes of TeamViewer or Dashlane (which I both disabled while troubleshooting too). I did not overclock anything so far, except using the D.O.C.P. on the RAM to reach its advertised 3000Mhz, which worked flawlessly. Prior to that, the problem also occured so it's not the D.O.C.P. that is causing a problem. I tried disabling MSI Afterburner, along with RivaTuner which supposedly causes problems sometimes - nothing. I also turned off Geforce Experience - nothing. I set Ryzen's Balanced power plan and also tried High Performance mode; still nothing. Before installing the new GPU I had used DDU to uninstall the AMD Crimson drivers and I also uninstalled anything Intel related later using Revo. All drivers are up-to-date and BIOS is also on the newest version. All power connectors, cables and plugs are attached correctly and were re-plugged a couple of times. There are 5 case fans installed so thermal throttling should and is not the problem, as all components are also staying relatively cool. I tried doing some benchmark runs, and both the CPU and the GPU were stressed to 100% and getting high scores. I considered doing a fresh install of Windows, as was recommended by AMD for Ryzen, but it's just too much of a pain to be done, so I was hoping somebody could help. I had a look at the following thread, and looked at the final solution, which was disabling Virtualisation (which is disabled by default on Ryzen) and disabling HPET. I did disable HPET, but still nothing changed, games are reaching about 60 FPS while not utilizing the GPU and CPU to their max. At this point, any help would be highly appreciated, so thank you kindly in advance!

Hi Guys, I'm curious. This may be an obvious question, but nonetheless I don't know the answer and my light research isn't making things better. I'm not necessarily trying to understand this for gaming purposes, but what's the best case scenario when it comes on to CPU Usage? Is it best to have the utilization at 100% on a lower frequency, or in contrast 10% on a higher frequency, or is it something else I haven't thought of? I would like to know because, I have a CPU which can get fairly hot if it runs at its a max for extended periods. Will I experience any benefit over finding lower my CPU Clock and increasing my CPU Usage Vs. Keeping low and running at max? Satiate my curiosity Please.

When I play any game on my computer, MSI Afterburner says that my CPU usage is around 20%-30% and my GPU usage is anywhere from 40% to 60%. While on Overwatch, with all my settings on low, I struggle to reach 144 fps. My specs are listed below. RTX 2060 AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Gigabyte B450M DS3H Mothrboard G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200 Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 500W PSU

hi im having a problem thats making my GPU and CPU be at a lower usage then they need to be causing low fps problems i have a RTX 2080, i7-8700 (non-k) 16gb ddr4 2666 ram, 500w psu. on farcry 5 i get like 70-40 fps on ultra 1080p with 40-60 gpu usage and 50-70 cpu usage, this is the same with overwatch, bo4, subnautica and a number of other games, ive tried clean installing my nvidia drivers, ive taken my case off so it cools better and the card stayed around 77c when i did that and i was still having the low gpu usage. im lost at what could be the problem and are very in need of an solution

Hey guys, I'm having a strange problem here. All out of sudden all of my games run like crap. I've updated my drivers and even rolled back a couple of days but they all have a max of 20fps. I'm talking csgo, but also battlefield V and gta V. None of them run above 20 fps. Cuphead runs at a constant 30 fps, but i'm not sure if its capped. Could be, since its a xbox one console exclusive. I'm assuming its a windows thing, since all games are affected. I'm pretty sure it can't be the power settings. I already checked those. My rig has an i5-4460, gtx 1070, 16GB ddr3 ram. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I'm not sure if this is the right subforum either, so sorry for that Cheers, Bas

Hello! Im a small YouTuber who has been trying soooo many different things to record his screen with on his pc. and my problem is my CPU. Everything i try using either destroys my CPU Which in turn Destroys FPS, or i record just fine with frames and such, but it is always a black screen when i play the video back, but i can hear audio. Ive Tried Fraps, OBS, Dxtory, even Hyper Cam! and it either black screens in playback or it destroys the Frame counter, im hoping anyone here has a good solution to this because i really wanna record on my PC without breaking the bank, yet.

Hello fellow techies. after many hours of research you are my last resort. As the title says, I get low GPU usage (about 40-60%) in game (Dirty Bomb) All while my CPU runs below 25% (not one core 100%, but 4 cores never more than half used). So my best guess is, that something introduces a cpu bottleneck, or prohibits the cpu to do it's job to it's full potential. WHY? I have no idea Specs: gtx 780 Windforce (well within temp limits) 4770k @ 4.2 Ghz (well within temp limits, with noctua NH-D14) 16GB 1866 ram game running of WD black 4TB 2 x 830 SSD RAID 0 for OS 550 W Seasonic G-series (more than enough) I tried (without success): -setting process priority to high -Unparking cores -disabling speed stepping in bios -turning power options to high performance (it's a desktop, but I was desperate ^^) additional Info: -programs like cinebench have no problem pulling 100% cpu load -the GPU in games like ARK or Dragon Age Inq. has no problem being used 99%, with CPU well above 25% -Dirty Bomb is running DX9 -FPS range for dirtybomb is 60-200 fps, but I have a 144hz monitor, So I want it constantly running at that Appreciate the help in advance
