Hey, im kinda lost on what to do. I was watching a yt vid and well pressed the windows button on my laptop and behold, the main display went all glitchy and dark? I looked at my device manages and theres an error in intel uhd graphics event tab, Device not started igfx Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9BC4&SUBSYS_193F1043&REV_05\3&11583659&0&10 had a problem starting. Budget (including currency): 3000-2000 (I'd like to stay in the lower side but I can be persuaded for performance) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Doom, Arma III, Day Z, Red Dead II Other details: I've been using a gaming laptop, due to my work have me move a lot, that has been struggling along for the past two years. I'm finally willing to shell out for a great computer. I've used PC picker for a build (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JCn4tn), but I have no clue if spending my money efficiently. I'm not to big into rgb I don't know if that's a sin here. Open to all input!

ok , so I used to play this game in maybe 2008/2009 , this is not an accurate date just for you to get an idea of the time frame here , its a really silly game but i really wanna find it , i think its flash but not sure you were this annoying kid standing in line , and there was this guy infornt of you with a big butt , and there were options at the bottom ( matches, pencil , hamster, lobseter ) whenever you click one of those the kid putts it in the crack . and something happens the matches: he would fart and you would catch on fire the hamster: the hamster would be like hell noo and eat your face the pencil would shoot shout and kill you i cant remember the lobster i reallllllllllllllly wanna find this game please help!!!!!!!!!!!

New Build, https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/zPBHv3 Keeps crashing when I run games, buzzing noise and flashing green for about 10 seconds then the system freezes. Drivers are up to date and I did flash to the latest bios. It's stable in windows. I don't know where to start to fix this as this is my first build. Please help 20230713_194541~3.mp4

I logged on to my PC today and found that all the disks that are connected via sata 3 cables to my motherboard are now unallocated. This includes one 1TB 850 Evo and two 2TB WD Blues. I did not get any Windows updates last night, as far as I can see. I have tried putting the drives in another PC, and they show as unallocated. I am unsure what could have possibly caused this, and very scared that all the stuff stored on these drives may be lost. I have run the Seagate bootable tool and found my drives are fine. The drives had no issues being detected by Windows or in BIOS. I am aware there are 3rd party recovery tools, and would love suggestions on ones people have had real success with; although I would prefer to stay away from 3rd party apps if I can fix it without them. Does anyone have some suggestions? -
Right, had this problem almost a week now I've tried a lot of things troubleshooting wise, but I'll explain the problem first. I upgraded my pc recently, I changed the Mobo, Ram, CPU, GPU and PSU. Ever since upgrading I've been getting poor connection, I am able to connect to the internet, my speeds are fine my ping is fine. But I disconnect from several games within minutes of booting them up, Cod Warzone kicks me from server before I even hit the menu, Battlefield 4 does it within a minute or so, Faceit let's me join CSGO servers but the anti cheat disconnects and boots me from server. Also some web pages crash/can't be found after multiple refreshes they usually work. I've also had trouble connecting to windows update servers and more. But then on the other side, discord has worked perfectly fine all week, youtub videos play fine. I was able to play several hours of rust and am able to play CSGO on official matchmaking with no trouble. My current router is a Sagemcom Plusnet Hub One, not sure of model number but can find if necessary. My specs are as follows I5 10600K - Stock Corsair Vengeance DDR4 16GB 3200MHZ MSI Z490-A PRO 1080TI fe - Stock What already tried troubleshooting wise. - -I've reinstalled network adapters three times, twice with the Realtek 10.46.1231.2020 drivers. And once with windows suggest drivers which are 10.42.526.2020. -I also reinstalled graphic drivers, scanned and repaired both games. -Changed ethernet cables, tested for packet loss by doing ping test to my router and to google. Getting 0 packets lost on either 1ms response to my router and 33ms to google. -I also tried changing my preferred DNS, as well as doing a DNS flush. -Reset router, bought new ADSL filter box, New cat5e cables. -Tried seeing if disabling firewall & antivirus would help. -Tried setting new inbound rules for the mentioned games. -I tried Warzone/Bf4 with Firewall disabled on the router and in windows and the server still crashed before the main menu. -I've tried changing my DNS to 8.8.8.8 and my IPV6 is already disabled -I ran windows system file checker in cmd to see if there were any corrupted windows files causing the problem, but nothing was found. -I also ran window memory diagnostic tool, I wasn't sure if corrupt memory could or could not cause this, same thing nothing was found, but when I restarted windows I was forced to reset network settings again as I couldn't get any connection at all. But my problem still persists -I disabled windows auto-tuning as I heard that can cause connectivity issues and also tried disabling LSO large send offload on IPv4 and IPv6. -Also tried another fresh windows install. -
Hello, I am officially at a loss. I'm not sure why, but I feel that I should be getting more frames from my gamin PC. These are my Specs: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3090 ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII FORMULA Motherboard Intel Core i9-10900K G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Series 64GB 3600 CL14 ASUS ROG Thor 1200W ASUS ROG Strix ASUS ROG Strix Riser Cable PCI-E 3.0 x16 WD_Black 1TB SN850 and WD_BLACK 2TB SN850 This is a water cooled unit and while gaming the Temps dont get over 61 on my CPU and 55 on my GPU. I am only getting around 101 fps In mW: Warzone on MEDIUM settings and even lower on Black Ops Cold War which im getting 70 fps. My cpu is running on XMP1 and im at about 4.8-5.0 GHz and my graphics card is running the basic OC mode on GPU tweak. if theres anything that i can do to improve this that would be wonderful, i just feel like i should be getting more FPS with a 3090.

Okie so I purchased a pre-built back in November (2021). It’s my first desktop and has been amazing— now is the time to start looking at adding more storage though and Ngl… I’m really lost here. I have a MSI B550-A Pro motherboard with one m.2 SSD currently installed. I’d like to stick with SSDs. Specifically I need a drive for data storage (dwg. Files mostly). And I’d like a second drive to keep and play my steam library off of so it’s not on my OS host drive. just don’t really know where to start, everything I thought I “knew” has disappeared from my brain and I feel like I’ve gone full idiot… help please

I have a WD BLUE 2 TB SSD and have a Folder where all downloads go to. Yesterday that directory was EMPTY all Approx 20 GB! All that was loaded at the time was Firefox. All those Family pics, video, movies, and a hodgepodge of other files... What happened? Does anyone know a cheap or free way to undelete or recover these files? -
I had a Intel 660p Series SSD fail within a year of getting it, I RMA'd it to Intel and they proceed to lose it, run me in circles for weeks, ask for proof of purchase multiple times, and then close my RMA request with a "Your SWR case has been canceled as Intel has not received your product within the required 60-day period. If you still wish to return your product(s), please request a new case. Thank you..". Is this how Intel treats its customers now?

Hi everyone, I think my graphics card is on its way out but there's something else throwing me for a loop. My current build - 9700K Asus Z390 ROG Maximus XI 32 GB Gskill Trident Z RGB Gigabyte Aorus Extreme 1080 TI EVGA G supernova 750W modular PS Various hard drives So I don't know what my bios version is but I updated it a few months back, it should be the most recent or almost recent version. One day I was gaming and the computer just froze, and shut down. When I tried to reboot, it would turn on for 1-2 seconds then turn itself off. Then repeat that process. I had previously water-cooled my GPU from the prior build, long story short I did have a leak during initial pressure test, it got wet, but I let dry for a week. That was 3 years ago and I haven't had an issue until now. Probably unrelated but worth mentioning. Anyway, after seeing it cycle on and off a few times, I turn it off and shut off the power supply as well. Let it sit for a week. Power it back on, same thing. So I remove the GPU, restart, it Posts and brings me to BIOS because I assume because I also cleared the CMOS. Boots fine, runs fine. Okay, figure I'll try with the GPU again, to confirm GPU is done. Re-install, everything runs perfectly. Two days go by, one full day of gaming, web surfing, etc., No issues. I usually restart my PC every few days, otherwise it's asleep. Come down to it this morning, wake it up, tower lights up, everything is good. Peripherals are all off. Power to monitors obviously good, but zero RGB on keyboard and mouse. No peripherals working at all. Restart the PC and now we're back to cycling itself on and off again. On occasion it will boot and seem to post but zero to peripherals. No power to keyboard and mouse and no display signal. My gut says GPU, which would explain no displays, but why would the keyboard and mouse not work either? They're plugged into the MoBo. I'm trying to read the codes that flash on the MoBo display but they flicker insanely quick that it's honestly hard to know what it's actually displaying. Any insight is appreciated. I'm debating about buying another GPU to test but I was already planning on upgrading come the next RTX release. So I'd rather not, but 5 years with one GPU is a win in my books. Thank you!

Hello, i am upgrading my pc and i am having problems, because i don´t know anything about pc´s apart from the general aspects. So my main problem is that i don´t have a dedicated GPU i have one integrated in the CPU and well, is absolutely trash for gaming, i finally have money so i decided to finally make an upgrade to my old pc and buying and integrated GPU, my current CPU is a I5 3330. I´ve seen a post here about the same topic of mine, but they were recommending the person to buy rx 470 (it also was an old post from 2017) and i don't really wanna buy a second hand GPU, i don't wanna get scammed. So i ask: What (new) GPU should i buy for my I5 3330 in 2022 for less than 125€? Thanks in advance!

So, the other night, I was playing the new black ops cold war. Suddenly out of nowhere, my PC just shuts off and reboots. This happened multiple times and there's no reason for it. I have tried EVERYTHING to figure it out and narrowed it down to RAM. I had 2 4gb sticks of RAM so 8gb total. I took one out... PC wouldn't even boot up. Put it back in and took the other out... PC booted up. Both Cold War and Photoshop would instantly shut my PC down on loading so I used them to test and they worked... no crash with only 4gb of RAM. I thought it was that one stick so I bought a 32GB set of Klevv CRAS X DDR4 3600mhz RAM (x2 16gb) and thought it'd work. Put them in today, it booted up, everything was great! But now... It crashed almost an hour later. What could be the cause? There is nothing visible to me that is broken and nothing flagging up on the system. I don't know what to do anymore and I am really upset as I use this PC to chase my dream career and can't afford to buy a new one. This is my last hope. If anyone can help or has any idea what to do, that'd be great. I can't take it to a shop as they're all closed during lockdown. The videos show is crashing and what it was like before I got the new RAM. But even now, it is still crashing. Just not as fast. Here are my PC stats if it helps at all... I've been having issues with my PC. It started happening about 1-2 months ago. My screen will freeze for 3-5 seconds watching YouTube, in game, or just doing anything. It is unlikely but seems to happen more when gaming. I've tried a majority of different options.BIOS is also up to date.drivers are up to date and my system is cooled properly. around 40-50 idle both CPU and GPU. Under load is around 60 on CPU and 70 on GPU. I have a 7700k at 4.8GHz and GTX 1060 GPU not overclocked at all. Only major thing I can think of is power but I have a 750W PSU. Any help would be appreciated

I was reassembling my graphics card after taking it apart to clean and while I was screwing it back in one of the screws fell into the graphics card. I don't know if it's still in there but should I just wing it or what

I'm trying to repair a family members pc, when they turn it on it goes into a blue screen saying "unmountable boot volume". In the BIOS it shows up, but in anything like a bootable media, the drive doesn't show. Any ideas? I've attempted to swap SATA cables and such but no luck.

Hi, I bought a used PC and a h100i came with it. I decided to sell the h100i with a AMD CPU/Mobo combo. Problem is i just saw in the box that the last owner lost the littles "hooks" for the AM3+ socket. I was wondering if theres a better and/or more usful software out there that does what windows Performance Monitor does. I want to know if windows performance monitor is the best choice for windows server 2012 R2 or if theres something better for the use of monitoring resource usage and the programs/applications running on the server. Anybody knows? -
I recently downloaded drivers for my motherboard and they are currently in there zipped state but when I go to unzip them it brings me to a lot of folders and texts, and I just need help on knowing what folder/file to use to actually install that driver, thank you. These are the 4 drivers I installed.. If you have any questions on what is inside these folders ask away because I know this isn't well explained enough for you to answer from just these details. Hello everyone, I just made a stupid mistake... I didn't check well enough before doing this, and I deleted an exFAT patition on my external HDD by converting it from MBR to GPT. I tried the Minitool solutions (quick scan on partition wizard and full scan on data recovery) but nothing was found... I haven't written anything on the partition since the conversion (the programs even found an old FAT partition...). Does anyone have any ideas that could help my situation? Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks, EMENCII

So I saved up for what seems like an eternity and finally had enough to build my first PC. I ordered an ASUS 27" 1440p Gsync monitor, and ordered a 1080 to drive this badass monitor. I ordered parts from different websites to get the best prices, and everything else arrived last week and this week. I built the PC yesterday, leaving only the GPU to add to it when it arrived today. No sign of the GPU! And according to the courier tracking, it was still at the national depot. I live in Ireland so the depot is in Athlone in the middle of the country, and is then transported to a regional depot before delivery. I called them this morning, and they said it had been transported to the regional depot and had just not been scanned yet. I should receive it today. They gave me the number of the regional depot which I called. They said they didn't have it, and that all the parcels they were due to get were out on delivery. They gave me the delivery driver's number just in case, and he didn't have it. I called the first number again (customer services), and explained the whole situation, and they have confirmed that the parcel is lost and will conduct an internal search for it. They took a description of the GPU box and it's value from me...€650! They said they will call me as soon as they know anything. I am so pissed off!!! I called them again this afternoon to follow up and here they tell me it could take 5 days to conduct the search!!!! Now it's the weekend too so it's going to be another week... More than likely the GPU has been stolen. Things like this just don't go missing... It came from the Czech Republic but it definitely arrived in Ireland because it was scanned. So it's going to take 5 days for the search, I'll probably need to get another GPU - so they will need to claim off their insurance, order another GPU (if they are in stock!!!!! - they are hard to get atm...) wait for that to arrive. Install everything. Download Battlegrounds over several days because my ISP has a 20GB per day download limit (I have no choice because of where I live). Then.....THEN...I will be happy.

Hi, this is my first time posting on this forum...but I have an issue I just cant for the life of me figure out. I upgraded my PC recently. The only thing I carried over to the new build was my OS and my graphics card for now. My old build was and AMD8350 with a gtx 780ti and 8gb of ram running windows 7 64bit on an old cheep am3+ motherboard. Now My PC is i9900k with 32gb of ram and an old 780ti still on windows 7. *Trust me know how ridiculous that 780 ti looks in that system and running windows 7*..however I am waiting for the new "SUPER" NVIDIA cards to come out b4 I buy. I have already bought windows 10. But that won't come in for a few days. Now down to the issue. When I boot the pc it seems to load fine and get to my windows log-in screen, however when I go to type or if I hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete nothing happens. This same freeze happens in every safe mode as well. But When I throw my GPU and ssd's with the OS into the old system it works completely fine with my keyboard and mouse. I know it's not the drivers as far as the mouse and keyboard. I set up the bios to be running legacy boot options since I have windows 7 still. In the bios my main drive with windows is the selected boot device and For my bios/motherboard I'm running Asus maximus xi. If you have any questions or any thought and what this could be please ask I am completely lost and I have tried everything I know. Please help.

Hi, my friend found a lost iPad that no one has come to claim. It has a password so we can’t get into it. I am wondering if there is a way to identify the owner without unlock ping the iPad, or if there is some way we coul “break into” the iPad. I am pretty experienced when it comes to tech so I could follow something more complex to fix this. Or should we just go to an apple store and see if they can do something?
