Hello! I recently built a new PC after not being able to game for a few years...and after the fact got the bright idea to maybe start PNGtubing. I think it might also help me come out of my shell abit since I've realized I'm a very reserved nontalkative individual. Anyways, first first. I wanna make sure that I did good with my PC specs. First time build. I didn't intend on streaming at first but I did have AAA gaming and music production in mind. Ryzen 5700g w/ 120 x3 Alphacool radiators. 64 Gb RAM @ 3200Mhz Prime B550M-A mobo ASUS Dual RX 6700 XT OC...with an exhuast fan on the case side right beside it that feels like it pulls a lot of heat from the card and out the case. Two 512Gb NVMe boot drives in raid 0...forgot about shared PCIe lanes until yesterday but havn't noticed any issues in casual gaming. 650W PSU 2 1440p monitors up to 170Hz and 1 1080p TV at 60Hz 25 Mbps Down/4Mbps Up internet. Win 11 Rainbow Dash wallpaper Runs pretty good gaming wise but If I have more than a dozen or two Edge tabs open the does give me some issues with it or other programs locking up. I would like to keep overclocks as low as reasonable because I really really don't like heat and you know how Dads' are with the thermostat. Aside from specs, what else do I need to get started? Aside from PC gaming I would love to do some console games and if feasible would prefer to capture from a real console instead of emulate. Btw, I'm not trying to do this as a serious carrer. Just a fun little thing when I'm not at my day job selling car parts. -
How do they have there multiple streams go out to youtube, floatplane, and twitch (specifically how is it distributed, I know they use OBS)? It sounds like there is a pre-show on FP and twitch but it doesn't go live on youtube yet. How does this happen/work? Do you start a private stream everytime on YT and change it over to public? Just curious on how livestreams work in general on YT. @LinusTech @GabenJr

Hello, I am a neuroscientist and I’m growing a community centered around exchanging and learning about emotional intelligence. I’d like to move from private zooms to public streams. However I’ve never livestreamed before and I’m in need of guidance. I am planning on livestreaming on Youtube. I currently have an extra PC with mid to high-range specifications that I wanted to take advantage of. Be that as it may I won’t be doing my editing myself, so perhaps a NAS is not necessary. I want to be able to share my screen and have pre/during stream announcements and other features I haven’t thought of yet. Can you recommend any software packages? Since I’m using Youtube do I need to use an Encoder like Lightstream or OBS? I plan on doing collabs and I’d need a mod for that, where could I hire one? I’ve been able to share my screen with my students consistently via Zoom but I imagine I’d need some sort of software package for these kinds of tools. It was implied (by the private zooms) but I have the hardware already, mic and camera that is. I know that there will be other devices that could help me down the road but I just want to be able to stream professionally for now and figure out the rest over time. Any and all advice is welcome.

Hi everyone, I am a youth pastor in East Texas. My youth group live streams our Wednesday night worship service on Twitch through OBS. Recently I created a text animation with a transparent background to display the scripture I am reading for the message. I use Davinci Resolve 16 (free version) to animate and render out this media file. When I render it out I set it as a Quicktime file with an alpha channel. Then when I add it to my OBS scene as a media source there is a black background behind my animated text. I figured I had done something wrong so I went back to DR 16, and placed a random video file on the timeline. Then on a separate video track within that timeline I over layed my transparent text animation, and the background on the text animation was in fact transparent. I am completely at a loss for why OBS is presenting this .MOV file with an alpha channel as an animation with a black background. What is even more confusing is that I have animated facecam overlays with transparent sections in the past, and had no problem with them in OBS. This is really bugging me. Any help would be greatly appreciated it.

I was a little unsure what topic to put this under. BUT, I have been having this issue that whenever I livestream to Twitch, my wireless mouse (logitech g305) becomes very glitchy. It seems to be a problem with just this wireless mouse, because when i used my wired mouse (razer deathadder elite), it never seemed to glitch like my wireless did. My drivers are updated and I've tried connecting my USB plug all over my system. While livestreaming, my CPU usage never exceeds 10 - 20%. I've tried the 2 encoders on OBS, NVEC and x264 (or whatever theyre called, i forgot). It's not an FPS problem because my games do not lag, and the glitches occur even outside of gameplay. I'm unsure if this is an issue with my motherboard or if it's an issue with the mouse itself. But this glitching only occurs whilst livestreaming. It seems to work perfectly when I am not streaming. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I'm using-Canon CamcorderElgato Camlink (external USB 3.0)Google ChromeWindows 10 ProI was live streaming on Youtube for 1-2 months with no trouble at all, it was working consistently and exactly how I expected it to.I can't remember if I updated Windows, or Chrome, but now it is pretty difficult to get it to work. The most common error I get is on Youtube- "Camera can't be accessed because it's being used by another application".Here is everything I have tried-- I have made sure Youtube has access to camera and microphone and that all Windows apps are blocked.- I have tried using a different browser (FireFox).- I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling CamLink in device manager.- I have checked for Windows, Chrome, and Camlink updates.- I have tried rebooting the PC- I have tried using different USB ports (2.0, 3.0, and 3.1)- I have tried using different HDMI cables from the camera to the CamLink.- I have tried resetting settings on Camera, and Chrome to default.- I have tried turning the camera off and back on again.The Camera, CamLink, and HDMI cables are all good, because when I allow access to Windows Camera, it shows up and works as expected (although it wont record through the app). The only way I found it works on Youtube is if I reboot the PC and immediately go to Youtube and attempt to go live, the camera shows up as it should. Although when I attempt to go live, it just sits there doing its circle loading thing. I am completely lost as to what to try next. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Any help would be great, thank you.

Hi Everyone.. I am very interested in game Streaming.. But, I have a very unique situation. I live in a Collage Campus and the internet here is restricted. And in my collage network any kind of gaming and livestreaming is blocked. So my only option is to use mobile internet(using mobile hotspot) and stream through it. I was successful in streaming using OBS(NDI plugin). Using 2 PC's as my laptop is very week to Handel gaming and streaming but was getting very low ping as I am using the same internet for gaming as well as streaming. So what I wanted to ask was that is it possible to stream and play game with different mobile internets(I have two phones). Each connected to one of the PCs??? Thanks in advance.. ? -
Hello, I have a computer with these parts: Gigabyte B450 DS3H Ryzen 5 2400G (stock cooler) Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Windforce OC G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3000 8gbx2 (16gb) SeaSonic EVO Edition 620W 80+ Bronze Certified Power Supply Kingston SA400S37/240G (Just a 240gb SSD connected to MOBO with a SATA 6Gb/s connector) I wanted to know what kind of livestreaming I could pull off with the 2400G? Everything has been for the most part untouched by me, only just put together and installed Windows 10 off flashdrive without activation key atm. So aside from the OC on the 1070 I didn't change any settings. 1070 is used but the rest of the parts are new. The games I'd like to stream are LoL and possibly Fortnite, but probably not. Hello everybody ^^ After a strike of luck, I am finally able to upgrade my build to the current generation. But lady luck is a foul mistress, because our economy is going bananas as we speak (The current currency rate is: 40AR$ = 1US$, for now...) These are the CPUs I've got in mind: The Ryzen 5 1600x and the I3-8100 Both CPUs are around 7000AR$ (That equals around 180 freedom bucks plus change, IF the currency stays at the current rate) I am looking to get a decent CPU that will handle live streaming (480/648p 60fps, because my ISP sucks) + "low end" gaming I just want to run some oldies such as TES V, the CoD saga, GTA, PS2 emulation every now and then, rhythm games and maybe AAA titles at 1080p low (or mid...) I am thinking of pairing either CPU with a budget motherboard (A b350 for amd or a b360 to LUCKILY upgrade the CPU to an I5 in like..10 years...) and 16 gb of ram. My current build: fx4100 (don't laugh at me, I was once like you ;; ) gtx 1050 2gb (SSC) 8gb of ram DDR3 Corsair CX550m Should I follow my heart and go for it? or is there a better config for my needs. p.s.: Since I don't know if my current cooler (hyper 212 plus) will be compatible with the AM4 bracket that CM sells, I am buying a cheap cooler for the AMD cpu. I recently got into 2 pc streaming. I found 1 method with obs ndi and the 2 pcs hooked up to the same network via ethernet. However, I have had some challenges in the way. *PC 2 had to be in a different room cause I dont have extra lengthy ethernets atm and the look of it in my apartment is already dreadful. (Solved this with synergy.) *Synergy randomly stopped working with pc 1. Even with uninstall and reinstall pc 1 just wouldnt share properly with the other pc in the other room. However, if I had pc 2 on wifi synergy would work as it should. (sharing from pc2) *I had previously wanted to share both pc with 1 internet connection, so I ordered crossover adapters and an pci-e ethernet adapter. This is where I'm stuck. With successful installation of the pci ethernet adapter on pc 2 I can't seem to get it to share internet access with the motherboard ethernet connection. I have the main connection going into the mobo ethernet, then I have the adapter going out to pc 1, the gaming pc. *crossover adapters are being used between the 2 pc *configured each connection between the 2 pcs with different ip address. I feel I'm missing some small steps here to make this work. Very annoying. So far I have the newly installed adapter on, "unknown network, no internet access." and the gaming pc is on, "private network, no internet access." I'm ready to give up on this, and just spend even more money on a switch but figured I'll give this place a shot and see if I already have what I need and I'm just not piecing it together correctly. How do I properly share the internet access so I can start troubleshooting synergy and getting both pc back on the internet?

Hey guys, I just wanted to ask a few questions regarding a new potential PC build. My budget is fairly large but my biggest problem is that I'm from Canada. PC parts here are notoriously expensive for instance an i7-7700K is worth over 400 CAD. Now my question is if i should rebuild with certain parts or just keep my current PC. Currently I have this as specs: i7-4770S w/ stock cpu fan Average PSU nVidia 1060 6gb Zotac Amp edition 24G of DDR3 Ram 240 G SSD 1TB Black WD 7200 RPM HDD ASUS B85M-G motherboard. not sure what else to post here as I'm kind of new to askign for advice. Just let me know if you recommend me changing anything because to replace and downgrade the parts i already have will cost me over 800$ CAD.

Hello, as the title says its about the Intel 7820x and the ryzen 1800x. Iam thinking of buying one of those CPUS and a motherboard going with it. Now my question is what would be better for Livestreaming and Gaming in 1080p60fps or at last 720p60fps? ive seen quite a few videos about the 2 cpus in comparison to each other while gaming and streaming but they never specify what settings they use for testing or anything, just "oh streaming on high" or "recording and streaming in good quality" but i want some Hard and nice facts, i want numbers and such stuff. Right now i have a 6600k from intel with 16 GB of corsair vengance Ram, some hard drives and a SSD and a GTX 970 by MSI. At the moment iam Livestreaming Destiny 2, BARELY in 720p30fps, the game alone already eats up 85-100% of my cpu Power so when iam streaming in 60fps and alot of stuff is happening the frames drop quite violently EVEN if iam not encoding with my CPU! it still eats away all my cpu peformance, i gave up compleatly at trying to Encode on my CPU cause thats no where close to being possible with that CPU. So i want to upgrade to a 7820X OR a Ryzen 1800X since i want to stream regulary. The price difference is already huge, (iam from Germany) the I7 7820X with a new motherboard and a new cooler would cost me around 900€~ the Ryzen 1800X with a new motherboard and cooler would cost me around 600€~ thats quite a huge price difference. So what do you guys think, wich CPU should i get? or should i maybe wait Cause intel is droping something that will crush the 1800X Price/Peformance ration? And maybe someone got experience with those CPUs and streaming, cause i would love to hear what people say about it that use it for the same stuff that i want to use it for.

Hi everyone,I purchased this set of 4 IP cameras with an intention to live stream a swimming pool match via Facebook.The set includes 4 IP cameras, switcher, PC mouse, cables etc., in short ..the set is ready to go. I tried everything, read manual all over again and never found an answer. The thing works for video surveillance - you plug it to a monitor, and you can switch between cameras with your mouse and I get how it works.Now my question is, what else do I need, to bring the signal on my computer, to an OBS software where I can live stream to Facebook and switch between cameras smoothly. Hey Guys I am hoping to build a computer for the sole purpose of live streaming a camera feed to youtube. I was wondering if anyone else has a computer dedicated to live streaming, and was wondering what system specs, capture card and software are used these days? CPU - Intel Core i7 6700 GPU - Sapphire Radeon RX460 2GB RAM - HyperX Fury 2x4GB DDR4 2133MHz Capture Card - Elgato game capture HD60 Pro Are these specs too much, too little or good? I don't really want to spend any more money than i have to, but still want a good stream. Thanks in advance

Sadly this post isn't going to be much of a contributing one, since my organisation and I are in need of some expert help! We're a youth organisation dedicated to the growth of Swedish e-sports, and we've recently received a grant to help us build an encoding machine. I'm looking for someone who'd be interested in having a skype/teamspeak call where we discuss what particular pieces of hardware would fit our needs the best. Long story short, it seems that my CPU is close to dying. For the past weeks every time that I have attempted to record/livestream or even preview my stream on OBS, my keyboard and mouse would become inactive. Just two days ago I tried to take out the side panel from my PC, and couldn't, so I just did it with a hammer, slightly hammering it to take it out. I didn't hit it hard or anything but it seems like the small bangs somehow killed the CPU. The CPU now goes to 100% immediately after initiating OBS, no matter how high or low the settings are, it claims to be using to much CPU power. Here are my PC specs: CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 Thuban 6-Core 2.7GHz CPU: GeForce GTX 550 Ti RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) Blue MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 So considering my conclusion is that my CPU is dying, I'm willing to buy a new CPU. It is not only the dying of my CPU is why I'm buying a new one but it is also that I wish to livestream 720p 60fps 3000kbps on Twitch. Now what games do I play you may ask? I only plan to livestream a rhythm game, called osu!. It is 2D and all objects on screen are projected by png images, nothing graphically intense. I'm getting either 200$ or 300$ by the end of the year, so assuming that is my budget, what possible Motherboard and CPU could I get that meets my criteria? (would appreciate is you'd make a budget for 200$ and 300$) I'm not computer-savvy but I've heard many good things about Intel hence the why I'm switching to it. TL;DR: Need a new CPU by Intel and a MOBO. Budget is 200$ OR 300$ (not sure how much I'm getting) and I need the CPU to be able to record/livestream 720p 60fps at 3000kbps with absolute no lag. -
Greetings everyone, My name is Navi, and as my first post here, I am bringing forth an issue that has been plaguing me for nearly five months, with little to no help from my ISP. I am a professional Livestreamer on a newer streaming website called Beam.pro, and as such, I need to have a stable and functioning bitrate and upload speed whenever I go to stream. However, since the end of August, I have been noticing some very strange and albeit frustrating occurrences with my network connection. I am supposed to be getting 100 Mbps Downstream and 10 Mbps upstream through my ISP (Which is Cox Communications), but when I go to stream or even do a regular speedtest, only my Upstream is affected (I've seen it get as low as 0.03 Mbps). I've called out a technician multiple times to my home for them to check on my home setup and lines both inside and out, only for them to tell me nothing was wrong. I am connected on a hard wire to a router (TP-Link WR841N), which is connected to a new modem (Unfortunately, it's a rental modem, and this cannot be swapped out due to a contract agreement). I've even gone as far as to bypass my Ethernet port on my Motherboard (Which utilizes the Killer Ethernet e2200 NIC/drivers) with an Ethernet to USB 3.0 adapter, and that hasn't worked very well either. I don't know what else I could do or try to do, or even if I just need to replace my current motherboard with something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated! -
Hi everyone, first time posting here I'm currently choosing parts for a pc that I'll use for the following uses: -Gaming at medium/high settings at 720p and 1080p. I'm not a pc enthusiast so 30fps is fine with me. - Livestreaming 2x a week at 720p - Daily 1080p video editing/rendering (I run a youtube channel) - Daily 3D modelling (I am a freelancer so in this case time will equal money) I can fit either into my budget, but which CPU would work best, the i5 4690k or the basic i7 4790? Basically I don't want to waste money on something that won't fulfill its potential. Hello everyone. I'm building a new gaming pc. I need some help in chosing components. Some of them I decided myself , but I need your help to get other. My budget is 450$ (can go maximum to 500$ if can do better), that is around 400€ (can go maximum to 450€ if can do better). I plan to use my PC for mostly gaming, video editing my videos for youtube and live streaming league of legends and minecraft. Also I want to run Witcher 3 atleast Low-Med settings 60fps , if possible higher. Required components : FX-6300 or FX-8350 (best low budget build cpus out there) 1TB HDD (whichever, just be 7200rpm) Other things are your choice. Also, if possible use de.pcpartpicker.com or it.pcpartpicker.com becouse prices are more equal to mine here in Croatia. You do not have to use those 2 , but if you did it would help me a lot. What does Xsplit do that OBS doesn't? And what's the difference between Xsplit broadcaster and gamecaster?
