Hey guys, I've recently been having LTT TV on my tablet in the background while I'm working on whatever I've got going on, but the problem is that when I look over to appease my distractible chimp brain, almost half the screen is covered by the live chat. I know that other youtube apps let you disable viewing the live chat overlay but I can't seem to find this option. (I'm using a Tab S6 and youtube is fully updated if this helps) Footnote: I know this is not an LTT TV related issue and I'm not trying to blame the stream for this.

Video camera for music and live streaming
-Veteran007- posted a topic in Photography and Videography
Hi guys Trying to help someone out. The mission is to find a setup/video camera to live stream music concerts. I have actually asked the same question quite a few years back, but that didn't go in to works and other ventures were more important. The budget has gone up now too. So the need is to live stream to youtube maybe to facebook too. The main subject is going to be music concerts. With the main need for stereo sound - two XLR microphones inputs. Good enough camera feed quality - 1080p 30fps is good enough. He has searched himself and found a camera that fits him - JVC GY-HM250(E). It is a real professional streaming camera it seems, with even option to configure lower thirds. And it seems his budget is large enough With the JVC camera costing about 2000$. But my concern that it is maybe too much of a professional camera - backup batteries and other accessories are going to be quite expensive, proprietary. But the luxury of having the streaming configuration embedded and with a simple USB dongle you can have internet anywhere - wifi, ethernet, mobile data. It sounds all so good. Has anyone opinions on that video camera? Or can suggest other options? Just trying to brainstorm some ideas, alternatives.- 4 replies

Hello guys, I just need some advice on whether I should upgrade or not. I'm using an i3 8100 with my 1660 super. Technically one might say it's a bottleneck and sure as hell I've noticed that on some games. But I'm not playing much CPU intensive games, mainly because I know my CPU is not that powerful. Nowadays, I stream APEX LEGENDS and I've already configured apex to only use mostly 50 to 60% of my CPU when it's the only intensive app running (together with Mozilla), but whenever I run Streamlabs OBS it says either 90 to 100% and my stream lags so much it's unwatchable, but my game does not lag at all, I've capped it at 70fps since I'm using 60hz monitor. Just so you know I'm still a student and not in a well-off family. My budget is tight and if ever I can get a workaround fix for this one I'd rather do that than upgrading to a ryzen 2600. BTW, I only stream apex legends or sometimes Valorant and the like. And what's this NVENC?? Thank you for the help

Was streaming (receiving/watching) a concert on Facebook Live and noticed a weird interaction between my CPU usage and network speed over WiFi. When I have the stream tab displayed, CPU usage ramped up to over 50% and my network speed immediately became highly unstable and cannot sustain a smooth stream. When the tab is in the background and I'm listening to the audio only it's perfectly fine. Actual network speed was consistently around 2Mbps when the tab is in background (the stream was stable on the screen at 2 Mbps shortly before the problem occurred) and oscillate between that and almost 0 (kbps range) when unstable. It seems to me that when CPU usage is high, around 50% or higher, the performance of the WiFi card is affected which is something strange to me. I mean CPU ramping up is fine, probably for the 720p video processing (I have a discrete Nvidia 940MX in my laptop) but affecting WiFi is weird, especially when it's only around 50% usage. I'm thinking if it's a software issue (Facebook or Windows or Chrome), interference, power draw issue or just a bad coincidence. I checked temperature, not a problem, they're all below 60 celcius. RAM usage is no where near saturated too, a few GBs left out of 8. My girlfriend faced the same issue on her laptop which is of totally different spec and we aren't even in the same place. So that probably rules out some hardware and router/service provider issue. CPU Usage and Wifi speed was measured using Windows' Task Manager while temp was read from AIDA 64. The processor is a i5 7200U and WiFi card is a Intel Wireless AC 3165. Just wondering if anyone faced similar issues or any tech experts out there.

Hi Everyone So I was checking through my uploads and noticed a year ago I must have been messing around with the live stream as there is a closed event that shows in between two uploads. I tried finding a way to delete it but I cannot so far. I went into live stream and must have it something as it did it again. See Pictures below. It is not visible publicly but it is very annoying. Is there anyway to remove it? Uploads link https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCg8q802ai1Cdrtk3nChr-AA/videos?sort=dd&view=0&shelf_id=0 One of the live stream links

So I would like to start live streaming the games I play to Youtube. I started streaming using OBS and on my second monitor I had the chat window open. The people watching my stream said the stream was lagging and freezing although the audio was fine. I bought a cat 5e ethernet cable because I thought that my wifi was the bottleneck. I tried streaming again, but the same thing happened and I don’t know what else to do. My pc is a Dell Inspiron 3670 that I upgraded with a 400 watt psu and a gtx 1050. My pc specs are: Intel core i5-8400, Msi geforce gtx 1050 overclocked edition, 12gb ddr4 ram, 1tb seagate barracuda hdd, Evga 400 watt psu with the motherboard and case that were made by Dell. I don’t have a big budget, but I would like to know what I can do to fix the problem.

I'm looking for a way to have a On-Air light switch on every time we put the slider up on Mixer, which goes to USB to the streaming computer and gets streamed via a web based audio stream. Is there a way to get a light to switch on based on the position of a slider or if there is audio passing through a mixer? Mixer: Behringer X1204USB PC is on Windows 10 Thanks for any suggestions or ideas

Not sure if this is the right place for this but: I'm looking into getting multiple cameras to live stream an event and was wondering if it was possible to live stream, using obs, with POE security type cameras. I'm looking into a lot that includes Cisco/Linksys PVC2300 internet POE video cameras and a couple other models. Not sure if it's possible, and if so how would it work (ie. What other equipment would be needed)? Thanks for any help!

Recording Video Podcast with remote guests
NovaNeutron posted a topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
I want to start a video podcast with remote guest. I have set up my obs to capture zoom to capture the guest, my own webcam, chrome for any content that I might want to discuss about in the podcast. The issue I face is how do I share my chrom with the remote guest to get their reaction. I know I can share screen in zoom. However, is this the best way? Is there a better way through which my remote guest can see my screen and hear my system audio? I tried searching on this issue in Google and YouTube. No adequate information could be found. Can someone guide me o most optimal setup to facilitate this?- 4 replies

Hello everyone! I'm currently running 4 24/7 youtube live streams on OVH.com VPN's, they work perfectly for my needs but the streams always "crash" and the streams are continuously interrupted. So I was thinking that instead of renting servers for $100 a month, why not spend some extra money and build a server at home in which I can do the same thing with which are more reliable? Now I'm not at all educated in this regard, I've only built two PC's for myself and never a server so I have no idea what's good for what. What I would like to do is to have OBS installed and running 24/7 with and MP3 on loop and an image/video shown on loop as well doesn't have to be HD quality. I've tried to search for this information but I don't understand it. Can I do this with a NAS? Or do I have to build a server? If I can do it with a NAS then I'd love to if I could get some instructions on what to buy for this purpose. If I have to build a server myself and like a server rack, I'd not mind that either but what do I need for parts? I'd love instructions here as well if possible. Also, could it be possible to run 4 streams from 1 server or would I have to have 4 separate NAS/servers? I wouldn't mind if it was possible to have a server rack with 4 servers in which have one stream each on them, I'd just need to access them and manage OBS. TL;DR Can I run a 24/7 youtube music stream on a NAS or do I need a server and what do I need to build either of them for this purpose? I'm grateful for any help with this as you'd do me a hell of a service!

Hello everyone I need some help with live streaming to YouTube. I have a MSI GP63 laptop, it has a 8750H and a GTX 1050ti; I also have a Canon XA25 Camera. I was wondering how would I be able to live stream to YouTube from the laptop using the camera. I also should mention that I have a BlackMagic Intensity Extreme capture card (picture of what it looks like below). I would like to use OBS but that isn't a necessity, I could use something that I have to pay for. Thanks for the help in advance

I have been trying to find a way to immediately backup live streaming from my phone straight to my computer. Like an app to take video which is also being uploaded straight to my computer at the same time as I'm recording. Is there an app for this(Android). I know I could technically use a live streaming service like Facebook live or other Services but I honestly would just like to connect to my pc and store the contents there. Also I know there is services that allow you to upload straight to the cloud but I would prefer to upload it directly to my pc at home.

Hi all, does anyone here here use their canon 700d to live stream with?? I’ve got everything set up fine but I’m struggling to get the live view to stay on for longer than 30 minutes which is how I capture the video feed from the camera. Really need some advice on how to get this to work, I’ve tried magic lantern but for some reason their sticky halfshutter function isn’t available on the 700d which would have solved all my problems! ive also looked in to writing an LUA script for magic lantern that tells it to Half press the shutter every 20 minutes as this would keep the live view active, but I suck at coding and I can’t get it to work any help or suggestions would be great!

Hi everyone, MeltMan of Gaming Philosophy here. Just saw some of the channels CES coverage....and it got me thinking. I have been running into a some limitations with my current PC and was thinking of getting an update. Now currently I am running with OS: win 7 Processor i7-4770k 3.5ghz ram 16gb ddr3 GC: gtx 1070 FE storage 1t hd and many 4t exteranl hd (archive storage) Here is what I do with that, I live stream game play content directly to my channel Gaming Philosophy 5 to 8 hours a day. As you may have guessed I have run into some storage issues....and have kind of been bandaiding the issues with external drives. Also when I am doing live streams, were the gaming I'm playing requires me to host the server for my viewers to join on, while I'm also planing on it, and using my hardware to send the stream to YouTube....well lets just say when there are 8+ people playing together I hit some bottle necking issues causing players to sit at 25000 ping (often only fixable by restarting the game server, which requires everyone watching to wait for me to restart everything and of those playing to rejoin. please note this can happen multiple times a stream) An additional issue I wish to address is power cost....You likely don't want my electric bill. So here is the idea I'm noodling with. Using the revolution x power supply for a dual desktop setup and Synergy 2 to streamline the software. I can have the first unit be my gaming rig and hold my steam library and be ready for when I move into VR content (that way I don't have to uninstall and reinstall games to move disk space around). The second unit be my streaming and content editing rig, taking my content to the next level by getting Premier on it with a size able storage solution that way I can start making highlight reels and Goof up compilations. The one thing holding me back is my budget....as I'm still a very small You Tuber and monetizing seems to get harder everyday, I really don't know how much I can set aside to build it.....The higher the cost, the longer I'll have to make due and hopefully keep my viewers happy. So that's everything in a nutshell. Any ideas, suggestion or opinions on how to go about this. Oh, I have build myself but I would only consider my skill to be in the region of a novice/hobbyist. Thanks in advance.

I'm hoping to create a livestream multicam rig using either the new ATEM Television Studio HD or a series of decklink recorders. Can someone recommend the best budget options for camcorders which can give Clean HDMI (or SDI) output while being plugged in to AC Power? If there are DSLR or Mirrorless (or even POS) cameras that will do this effectively, I'm willing to consider this, too. 4k unnecessary as most of our livestreams will be broadcast in 720p and our post-produced content will be 1080p. Thanks in advance.

Hello guys, I planned on upgrading my system with a new motherboard, cpu, ram, etc. but that is not part of my question. Since I do live streams on twitch (me streaming to twitch) and multiple audio sources are just too much for my on board audio chip which results in cracking and total sound failure (no sound for split of a second) I want to fix that. My Question: Will a sound card improve this issue, or not? P.S. My setup includes an USB 3 Wireless Headset as mic. and main audio output device. Thanks in advance.
