Quality, aesthetics, acoustics, and ease of installation aren't accounted for. This is not a list of recommendations. A low tier cooler isn't necessarily bad nor a high tier cooler necessarily great. Assess what's appropriate depending on your needs. Coolers in Tier 1 generally perform better than coolers in Tier 2 and so on.. Hey, I've got an N7 B650E mainboard and a Cooler Master 360L Core. I have currently - and as per the manual of the cooler - connected the AIO pump to the AIO_PUMP header and the radiator fans to the CPU_FAN header. The radiator fans seem to be controlled very aggressively now, however, as soon as the CPU (Ryzen 7 7800X3D) gets some loads, the radiator fans immediately start pinning. The CPU barely gets over 60°C. Should I limit the fans? I've seen some talk about wiring up the connectors differently so that the radiators are connected as case fans instead. Some suggest connecting the Aio pump not to AIO_PUMP but to CPU_FAN ? There is also in the BIOS for all the headers besides AIO_PUMP (so all case fans and CPU_FAN) a toggle between a CPU fan mode and a water pump mode -- what should I pick for the radiator?

I'm working on mounting my cooler and following the manual, it looks like the tubes should come down from the front half of the radiator before twisting onto the cpu with the fan for the pump on top. As far as I can tell, the important part is that the pump is oriented properly with the fan on top and that the pump be lower than the radiator with the tubes ascending. Does it matter if the tubes coming down from the radiator are in the front or the back of the case? (Still mounted on the top) Or should I stick as close to the manual as possible? I only as because twisting the tubes to align with the cpu while coming from the front top of the case feels stiff and I don't know if it will apply too much...torque? Am I overthinking this?

I'm currently using a dark rock 4, my cpu is an i7 8700k. I was wondering if that was enough for keeping my cpu cooled or if I should swap it out with a liquid cooler. I don't overclock at all either and I kind of wanted to stay away because liquid cooling is higher maintenance & then there are risks of them leaking and killing my pc.

I posted about this on reddit but no one ever responded, so I'm hoping someone here might have advice. My aio liquid cooler has been buzzing ever since I sat my computer on its side to replace the cpu. Hwmonitor says the pump is running at normal rpm and temperatures seem normal enough. If the top is the best position, I need to know one simple thing. BTW, I've heard30-40 different answers and I really need not just an answer but a little explanation as to why it is Pump or RAD 1st? Question:- Do I first install the water pump onto the CPU or do I install the Radiator on top First? Another Question, Do I install the Pump outside the Case....Outside the Case for RAD also...But the length of water lines don't seem long enough to do this? So i have a r7 3800x usually when i play my games it usually goes to 20-30% usage and 50C but my nzxt kraken x63 rgb liquid only stays at the same heat(25-30C). is that normal?

So.... Trying to make a PC for my buddy. Scored a kraken x40 aio water cooler with a bunch of fans and an 850 wt power supply for 100 bucks.. Anyways. I bought an asrock b450m hdv r4.0 motherboard and noticed in the manual that it had 1 CPU fan header, and 2 chassis fan headers. Am I able to make this work? I'll attach pics of the cooler. I also got some fan splitter hubs on the way.

I have to choose between those two coolers, now i have a ryzen 1700 but i'm going to upgrade to a 5900x. Noctua pros: air cooling has less failing points, probably more durable and more silent (i think) Cons: it's very big and can have problems with the ram ( kfa2 HOF, very tall ram)with the headsinks of the motherboard ( x470 asus prime pro) and the case ( NZXT s340 elite). Artic pros: a little more cooling performance, the cpu ares it's more clean and unoccupied, has a fan for the ram and the vrm. Cons: more possible failing points and the consequences of water coming out are more dangerous, and my case don't allow to mount in the correct position showed by Steve from gamers nexus ( the tubs in the radiator down and not up) . They cost the same so price is indifferent.

Just to help people who are questioning this.

So I just set up an arctic freezer ii 240 in the top of the front of my case that is the silverstone rl06 redline. The front had 3 fans that I changed to to arctic p12 argb fans, and then also put 2 more fans on the other side of the radiator for a push pull configuration. So now I have 5 intake fans in total in the front of the case. I also changed the rear fan for the same type of fan. my question is then, is the 1 rear exhaust fan enough when I have that many intake fans? Or does it not matter when it is liquid cooling on the cpu anyway? Or should I have 1 more exhaust fan in the top rear side of the case? Thanks for any advice

Hey guys I’m new here and just need a little insight. So i recently purchased a build that was put together by a local computer guy. He installed the AMD radeon r9 290 and after some extensive research and play i found out that my graphics card runs about 90-95 celsius after gaming for a short while. I know amd says there card was designed to run at these temperatures but i don’t feel comfortable with that. On that note, i need some insight on liquid cooling. I was looking into the NZXT kraken g10/12 for the mount but noticed it had vram cooling issues. I’ll just put some copper heat sinks on it(any recommendations). My next question is what AIO should i buy. I already have corsair h100i v/ installed on my cpu so looking to match with corsair but not a huge deal if i go with another aio. Any help and benchmarks are much appreciated. Thank you

Hey guys, CAM doesnt let HWInfo read its fan speeds and liquid temps while it is open. I can't set my custom fan speeds to my AIO liquid temps if CAM is not running. Is there any way I can set my AIO fan speeds to maintain my liquid temps without using CAM at all?

Hi all, Currently I have a corsair h100i Gtx liquid cooler, cooling an intel i5 6600k (stock speed for now). I've noticed that my temperatures are extremely high under prime95 small ffts stress test. One core reaching around 90 degrees. I've also noticed that on the layout the first two cores run at an average of 10-15 degrees above the remaining two under the stress test. I have re-seated the cooler multiple times in the hopes it was a faulty sitting. I have tried keeping fans locked at 900 rpm and maxing to 2k rpm with the same results. The fans are positioned as an exhaust at the top of the case. The case in use is a NZXT noctis with 3x 120mm fans and one rear 140mm fan. The Pump I leave running at 3000RPM(Performance mode). What are the possible reasons I am reaching these temps, I have a feeling my pump could be going or there is a block in the cooler because at stock speeds even under load this cpu should not be reaching this temperature. I am using fairly average thermal compound however I feel this should not be the reason my core temps reach 90 degrees.
