Hey guys, I'm in trouble. I have a TR 1900X as stated above with an Enermax Liqtech 240. This PC is right round 3 months old and I remember when I first started it, idle temps were around 35C and maybe 60C under load. Current idle temp is about 60C At the moment when I play a game for more than 15 minutes, the CPU heats up massively up to a point where the CPU clocks down to prevent itself from melting I guess. Ryzen Master and HWINFO64 sometimes show temperatures above 68C, sometimes both are stuck at exactly 68C. I don't understand why but yeah, it happens. Highest I could actually see was 85C. Whats bothering me now is.. none of the tipps and tricks you can find around the internet do fix the issue. Other things, such as removing the Liqtech AiO from the system to check whats going on inside I cannot do as I have literally no experience with that and don't even know how to remove that stuff. I have tried everything I could find from using different BIOS settings to using software to set all of my fans to full power and whatnot. I can feel the water flow in the tubings, pump seems to be working and the air coming out of the computer where the fans are is icy cold so that stuff is working. GPU is around 50-60C most of the time. I don't know what else to do. At one point I was thinking it was the ambient temperatures in my room but even though it's not especially cold in here, it doesn't feel like it is too hot. Then again I'm a noob when it comes to cooling solutions in computers. Is there anything I have not thought of that probably fixes the issue or should I just go buy a full watercooling solution? Because despite the fact that I don't know much about computer hardware, I know that at some point when things heat up enough, they take severe damage and just die. Before I forget.. since I don't know much about this very subject, I might have left out important details you guys need to know in order to help, incase you want to. Please just let me know. I'll provide whatever information you need. Thanks alot in advance EDIT: could the GPU possible increase the CPUs temperature? That thing is pretty close to the CPU. I have just again checked reviews of the Enermax Liqtech 240 and people keep saying it was a great AiO, their CPUs are at 30C in idle mode. I find this very weird.

I've asked this a pretty long time ago. But I thought it was solved. Turns out it wasn't. My 1950X gets to around 85C (Sometimes above that) when almost iddling (2-7% usage) Is my AIO not working properly and should I RMA? Once I boot it up for the first time after I wake up, it seems to have a temperature between the 37 and 43 C, but the temperature slowly starts rising. I have my 1950X at 3.7 MHz at 1.125V and my memory is at 3200 Mhz. Some things that I noticed was that the entire radiator except for where the tubes go into the radiator is room temperature (So the only hot part is where the tubes enter the radiator). One of the 2 tubes is really hot and the other one is basically room temperature. Can anyone tell me what's going on? Thanks in advance.

So, on the new year i bought a Threadripper 1950X & accompanying Aorus X399 Gaming 7 motherboard. I initially had an Asetek style cooler, which was simply unable to get the heat away from the CPU (because it's got a small coldplate). So i upgraded coolers and bought a Liqtech TR4 360mm cooler. Temps were insanely low! 4 months on however, temps are now at the point where i'm concerned about either the cooler or the CPU. Using my 24/7 OC setting, i tried Prime95, temps quickly shot up and the system ended up shutting off for overheat protection! Odd, considering i used to be able to bench easily at 4.2ghz 1.4v. I reverted clocks back to stock (and reflashed the BIOS just in case), and the temps were still high, reaching the temp throttle point of 68c within seconds (even my Asetek one didnt perform that badly!) Loading up a reference point overclock setting (3.75ghz @ 1.275v), i was getting 86c, considering i originally was getting 58c at that same setting when originally fitted, that's a 30c increase! WHAT?! Temps are ~30c higher than when orgiginally fitted? I immediately stopped the test and reapplied paste, oddly the paste had turned a slight tinted green colour (the enermax stuff that came with the cooler), but was otherwise still similar to how it was when applied. I reapplied the same stuff in the same method (4 x 1 inch stripes where the dies are) and got exactly the same results, obviously the green tinting had nothing to do with it. Is my cooler failing or is it my CPU? or something else? FYI readings from original and current were both taken using the same version of HWinfo64 with the Tdie reading. I understand Tctl is artificially 27c higher so i ignored that. Original Results; Current Results (3.75ghz @ 1.275v, same profile as Slight OC of original)

Just received an Enermax Liqtech 240. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box is there was a small amount of liquid in the plastic wrapped around the block. I thought it might be some kind of lubricant from manufacturing but when I picked the unit up I noticed a rather pronounced sloshing sound in the rad. should I be worried about this?

Just was wondering which one is better. There is not a lot of information on the Liqmax II but newegg says it's the newer version of the Liqtech.

I have been looking at some AIO water coolers recently and I don't know which one to get. EDIT: I am going to get either the Kraken x61 or Swiftech h220-x or h240-x. The h220-x beats the x61, but it is smaller, so should I get the h240-x or h220-x or the x61 because of price and aesthetics. I really like the looks of the x61 and I have a NZXT case so the NZXT cooler would match my build and I could use the NZXT cam program to control it. The Swiftech doesn't have a program for it. It has PWM though. Also the h220-x is expandable, but the x61 has higher pump speed and higher fan speed. What do I get?????? I have a i7-6700k and Noctis 450 case.
