Hello, I was wondering how to unlock that power draw.. The PSU is not that crappy proprietary 80W stock Dell power supply. It is a new, standard and modular one. It is the Corsair SF450 which can supply 450W. The CPU draws 73W so that leaves a little power for the rest of the computer. Does anyone know how to do that?

So i recently just bought a i7 9700f, and now I have to choose which motherboard. I was thinking about getting a b365m motherboard to save money, but I saw some comments about b360 motherboards limiting the i7 9700f boost frequency? Is this true? I wont be overclocking at all (since its a 9700f) so thats why im not choosing a z390 mobo.

Hi There, Ive just finished my first build and currently overclocking my 3600 with ryzen master. I am currently at 4.6Ghz, Voltage is set at 1.375Volts and I am moving up at 50Mhz increments while the temperature isn't going above 65 degrees celcius. Is there a clock speed i should stop at regardless of the test still passing? Thank you in advance, My specs are; MSI B450M MORTAR MAX Ryzen 5 3600 Nvidia RTX 3070 MSI Gaming Trio Corsair Vengeance 16GB 3600 DDR4 Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edt Corsair 650M Samsung evoPlus 500GB 8 x 120mm fans (mix of Cooler Master, Corsair and Llian Li) Cooler Master NR400

TDP for this card is 340W. I raise the power slider to 110, which means the total TDP for the card should be 370W. Even though its raised, the card still power limits around 100% TDP or, 340w-350w. It never actually gets to 370w and stays there. This results in heavy power limiting during overclocking. Is there any way to circumvent this? Make the PCIE slot draw the full 75w and the two 8 pins 150w each? I notice this is an issue among other 2 8 pin cards such as the 3080 xc3. But, I notice its not prevalent on the 3080 FE, which uses two 8 pins for the 12 pin connector but still uses the full 375W as seen in jays overclocking the 3080 video. I find this completely idiotic that a FE 3080 can pull more watts than a AIB card.

I bought an Acer Nitro 5 with a GTX 1650 and intel i5 9300h cpu a couple month ago everything was fine until about a week ago when i noticed a performance drop while gaming so i decided to look for the reason and found out that my CPU is power limit throttling, i have the Intel ETU installed but dont know what i should do to stop that. id really appreciate some help.

i saw some 10 series and rx series cards are on sale, so i want to get one to replace my old gtx970. i dont want to replace motherboard(because win10 is really expensive) so i cant replace my old i7-4790k to skylake or kabylake cpu. so here the question is, will my 4790k become a limit to gtx1060 or rx470?

a long time ago I overclocked my GPU and saw some improvement but then I decided to return it to stock overclock. a month ago I overclocked my CPU and got good results and I decided to keep my overclock for the CPU. a month later after making sure that the overclock is stable for one month. I decided to overclock my GPU with the overclocked CPU, but this time I'm getting power limit and voltage limit even though I've increased the core voltage to 90% and power limit to 120% and kept my core clock at stock speed. when I get power or voltage limit my GPU clock drops down to around 1800MHz. Edit: I'm not getting temperature limit. My GPU Temps is around 60 Celsius Edit 2: I'm also getting temp limit while my temp is 67 celsius tools I used: originally I used Evga precision but when I started to get power & voltage limit I tested MSI afterburner and still get the same limit. unigine valley 3d mark demo - time spy ------------------------------------------------------------------- Build: M/B: Rampage 5 extreme CPU: 17 5820k GPU: GTX 1080 founder edition - driver version 381.89 RAM: 16GB DDR4 PSU: Cooler master m2 silent pro 850W 80plus silver CPU cooling: Cooler master Neptune 280XL Note: this is my first time posting a computer problem in any kind of forum. therefore sorry if there any miss-leading information or missing information. if any information is needed and missing please tell me what and I'll try to provide it

I'm just curious, i know how emulators work and all that, but i always wondered what the limit is in terms of what you can emulate on a modern X86-64 computer. Kinda hard to explain what i'm asking but, does it all come down to how old and relatively simple the machine/architecture is ? for example, correct me if im wrong but the most recent "proper" console to be emulated is a PS2 right ? so in a few years when computers are faster, will we have a PS3 or PS4 emulator ? (i know theres no point, as at this point the consoles are basically PC's anyway but i digress) Or is there some kind of specific hardware configuration that simply cannot be emulated by an x86 system for physical reasons ? Like, could i theoretically write a program to emulate some benign shit like washing machine firmware, and have that emulator really think it is a washing machine ? I'm rambling, please does someone understand what i am asking ? cheers

Hello. I have pretty big problem. Iam currently trying to do something smilliar to @LinusTech many users on 1 cpu. Iam using xubuntu, and i'v created 7 users, did sudo xhost + to allow aplications to show on my screen, 7 steams successfully logged in, everything went smooth. 5 games started, but after trying to run 6th, crash. No errors or anyhing, it just enables and crashes. Tried on many setups. Same thing happends. Ideas?

Hi Is there a way to limit the number of threads a program can use? For instance I would like to run a mallware-scan and use my computer for other things in the mean time. But the scan is using 100% of every threads making it hard to work or watch a stream. Can I limit it to using fewer threads, so I can still use my computer while running heavy programs in the background?

Buy SODIMM memory on Amazon: http://geni.us/ysABsd Apple claims that they MUST limit their Macbooks to 16GB of RAM to limit concerns about battery life... Is there any legitimacy to that claim?

Hi, My EVGA GTX 1070 ACX card is hitting power limit like crazy, even at stock at 104% power target its hitting it wayy to much. I overclocked it to get better performance in games. Even then at 109% power target its still maxing out. My voltage is fine. And I'm getting good core/memory clocks, but GPU Boost is suffering because of that power limit So if anyone can give me some tips onn how to control it without breaking my card or hurting anything, that would be very good. -Thanks, FwelStars

I could use some help from anyone who is familiar with the http server build for the ESP32 arduino core. I keep running into the problem where the server responds to a GET request with 'Header fields are too long for the server to interpret' A detailed explanation of my issue can be found on github. https://github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/issues/2983 If someone prefers to view it here on the forums instead, here is the copy paste of it

Hey I while ago i bought a RTX 2080ti with an i7 9700k. I used it for a while and i decided to overclock it now. I then noticed that my PSU was too weak (Had 600W, recommendet was min. 650). Today i got a new one (750W) and i installed it. When i tried to use the OC Scanner in the MSI Afterburner, it always says that the major limitar is Voltage and Power. I have set the sliders all the way to the right for Power Limit, Temp. limit and Core Voltage %. Why is this happening? I also cant really get any stable overclock. Pretty much everyone can get over 2000mhz with even a stock card. My GPU: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/msi-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-gaming-x-trio-11gb-high-end-grafikkarte-9424299 My CPU: https://www.brack.ch/intel-cpu-core-i7-9700k-3-6-ghz-833434 My Mainboard: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/asus-rog-strix-z390-f-gaming-lga-1151-intel-z390-atx-mainboard-9853832 My PSU: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/seasonic-focus-plus-gold-750w-pc-netzteil-6392505 The CPU is not overclocked, RAM neither. The GPU is connected with the cables from the PSU, not any extensions. I have connected a separate cable from the PSU to the GPU for each power connector. Temparature is not a problem, case has good airflow. Temps never go over 76 degrees, even under heavy load for a long time. Thanks for your help. Sorry for any misspelling, english is not my native language :S

Hello there, I have an intel core i7-9700k processor and RTX 2080 Super. I play 1440x1080 stretched all graphic settings on high (same values even with lowest settings), my game uses at most 50% of the CPU, and i get stuck at 350 fps max, average being 312. Any advice how to remove that limit, and no my fps are not limited by a console or any command

Ok so I am adding some VPN locations to my Asus RT-AC5300 (asuswrt). Only issue is that the Router caps me at a limit of 5 OpenVPN profiles. I have 8 profiles that I like to pick from and use from time to time. I have checked and the router has the resources to take another 3 OpenVPN profiles, but the limit cap is stopping me. I can enable telnet and gain access into the router linux based OS but I don't know where to find the configuration file that sets the limit to 5 so I could change it. Anyone able to help me ?

I just bought an Dell G7 7590 with a i7-9750H 6 core CPU and on AC it's a little beast. The problem comes form trying to run on battery it becomes very slow for some apps and older games. (i.e. some things that ran ok on my old $250usd A12 APU Lenovo notebook while using battery run worse on this $1,200 i7 laptop the same way) From what little testing I have been able to do it the short time I have had it, It would seem the issue comes from power delivery limits from the battery making the CPU per-core speed throttle way down as more cores come active. For example with 1 core active (shown in Intel's XTU) the speed sits at just shy of 3Ghz but open Firefox or other app and all 6 core come up dropping the speed to as low as 1Ghz or less.. So what I want to know is there a way to automatically limit the system to only say 4 cores on battery and still let it use all 6 on AC with out having to reboot to BIOS every time, Just to try and keep the core speed up as some of what I run would do better with fewer fast cores then more slower ones..

Specs: Ryzen 3 2200G 2x4GB Memory @ 2400MHz GTX 1660 Super As you can see, I'm CPU bottlenecked. To reduce stuttering in games, I have set maximum pre-rendered frames = 1 (this is now called "low latency mode"). Should I enable V-sync with this? Should this be set to "global" or program specific? I have also increased resolution scaling in-game. Is there anything else I can do?

Hello, I am planning a new build and wanted to add some Addressable RGB flare to my setup. However, according to the manufacturer, the motherboard I chose (ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-E) may have a limit on how many addressable LED I can connect to the ADD RGB connector, which is 3A or 60 LEDs. ? Someone in the forums said that it's just a protection limit to avoid damage or loss of quality, and the board/software has no way of knowing how many LEDs there are, which is good news. My question is, if there is a 3A limit on that 5v ARGB port, what happens if I want to connect more Addressable LEDs? Is there a way to provide extra power like a hub or power splitter? Any suggestion would be GREATLY appreciated. In case you're wondering, here's the list of RGB parts that will utilize the ADD RGB port on this board, potentially over 164 LEDs: 2 x Strips: DEEPCOOL RGB 200PRO Addressable RGB LED Strip 5 x Fans: EZDIY-FAB 120mm Dual Frame RGB PWM Fans VGA bling: RGB Graphics Card Colorful GPU Support Video Card Holder Bracket Case: DEEPCOOL NEW ARK 90SE

sorry for the bad english. i have a gigabit connection (940mb day1 700mb tested with my laptop port today) my motherboard is msi z170 gaming m5, the lan port is e2400 atheros killer, the cable is cat6, the swicth is gigabit and it always worked. since a bit i found the connection not fast as always. i found my speedtest at 140mb, i tried updating drivers, cleaning the drivers and istalling it from scratch, no luck. then i thought the lan port was broken or something because i tested the same setup with the same cable etc with my laptop and the speedtest was 700mbs , so i ordered a usb 3.0 to gigabit from amazon basics. and the results where the same.... then i tought to test the new sandbox virtual machine with windows 10 1903. and... the results were 400+ mbs.. with the hyper-v virtual ethernet adapter inside the sandbox. both the e2400 and the usb adapter are listed as 1gb links. the duplex is in autonegotiation by default in both. ipv6 is not the problem. i havent found any program that could limit the bandwith like that.. the only one was killer device center but i unistalled it. i need help. its a crazy situation. i really do not want to fresh start windows 10... to recap the cable is good beacause i can get 700+ on my other laptop i tryed resetting netsh etc with no luck the speed inside vm is 450+ and outside is 145 i tried in safe mode, still 145. qos limiter is not the cause, disabling it i only gained -1 or -2 ms of ping with the same speed. i really don't want to nuke the os.

Heeellllooooo, I have a RTX 2080 (MSI SEA HAWK X) and I overclocked it with 125% Power Limit +115 Clock +700 Memory. The cards stays under max load on benchmarks of 2 days around the 60C, max 65 never got higher. Does this mean my card is safe cuz the temperature is fine? If yes, can I boost it up to 140% Power Limit? When it is still under 75C on a +1000Mhz Memory +175Mhz Clock is it still safe to use? or is it melting? I really dunno cuz the temperature is fine.
