As the title says, I've tried to make lip sync work to no avail. First I'll start with the components LG 65qned816re TV (2021) Yamaha RX-V6A Receiver NVIDIA Shield TV (2017) HDMI 2.1 certified Cables Teufel Speakers Both TV and AVR support eARC and "4K 120Hz HDR VRR" (the high framerate and VRR is only relevant when I want to use my PC with the setup) Concerning the Yamaha receiver As I've seen in another post on this forum involving a Yamaha Receiver, I cannot change the Lip Sync setting from "Manual" to "Auto". Are there any other Yamaha users that can chime in on this one? Concerning the LG TV I've tried the following setups: (note: all configurations have the audio ahead of the video, due to the TVs processing) Shield -> AVR -> TV The audio delay with 2160p24 has about negative 3-4 Frames of delay. Shield -> TV -> AVR (ARC) | TV's Digital Audio Setting set to Auto Lip-Sync is ok, but only a few audio formats work correctly, the rest either doesn't work or gets decoded to stereo PCM Shield -> TV -> AVR (eARC) | TV's Digital Audio Setting set to Auto Lip-Sync is ok, more supported formats but notably DTS:X gets decoded to stereo PCM, also the audio has occaisonal drop-outs Shield -> TV -> AVR (eARC) | TV's Digital Audio Setting set to Passthrough Lip-Sync is the same again as the first setup but all audio formats work (altough it takes a lot of time for the audio to start playing when it's multi-channel audio) Using the TVs built-in Apps seems to work fine though :/ Conclusions thus far No matter what I seem to try, the result is either sub-par audio format support and working lip-sync OR good audio format support and bad lip sync I've used test videos at different frame rates playing through Plex on the Shield TV, also tried some through the YouTube app on the Shield TV. All tested apps on the Shield TV exhibit the same amount of delay when there is delay to be observed. Question(s) to the community Am I just shit out of luck, or is this a common problem with Yamaha Receivers and/or LG TVs? What TV brands actually play nice with Yamaha Receivers? Do you guys think it's the TV or the AVR or the combination of the two? What I can't or won't do Turn off all the post-processing things on the TV as it uses a MiniLED backlight with Full-array local dimming which would make the TV as bad as an edge light panel when turned off Try anymore fixed offsets as the delay seems to be variable depending on the Resolution, Framerate and HDR of the source. Worst being 2160p24 with HDR Any feedback here is appreciated as I'm at my wits end... If I can't figure this out I'll return the TV and/or AVR.

So I have this LG TV (model: 47LN5790-UI) that I have replaced the LED back light panel this would be the third time. When I turn it on it flashes and then turns black. Sometimes I get the LG logo and I can see the image with a flashlight but sometimes is just black. I opened it again to see if I was missing something but dont know anything about TVs to know if there’s a problem. I did test the LED lights and the ones labeled as R1 and R2 (three of each) dont turn on unless I test the individual lights but all the ones labeled as L1 and L2 work. I uploaded some pictures of the back and boards. I also noticed the cable that goes from the board to the lights the table looks burnt

Hi, I have cable subscription but I don't have smart TV. It's HDTV with HDMI ports and USB port. I want to watch it on my Samsung tablet and also be able to change channels. Is there a way to accomplish this? If yes, what are my options? Thanks.

Hi so I have been attempting to fix this problem for a few hours now and I cannot find a solution to it. I have an LG OLED65B8SLC and it is paired with a sonos beam gen 2 and I can’t get the audio to like up with the video. At the moment it is impossible to even watch without noticing a delay. If anyone can help please do especially if you have the same set up or similar. Thanks

After watching and reading a lot of reviews, I want to get this LG C2 (48inch version): Amazon as my living room TV upgrade. People say it is the best price/performance TV of 2022, although has its gimmicks. Its webOS doesn’t run as smooth as others, the panel is too dark, the 48inch version doesn’t have the "new" panel the bigger sizes have... I also looked for other TVs like the Philips 707 or LG A2 although, they don’t seem to atract me like the C2 does, not to say the C2 has A LOT of positive reviews. I’m mainly looking for something around 1K euro (+-100€) and the size aprox. of 48inch since the distance of the TV and couch is around 3,5 meters. I’m open to listen to your sugestions. Now I am concerned about the OLED "burn-in" phenomenon this tech has. If I watch twitch streams that have most of the time the background static, will it affect it? What would be the time limit for the burn-in to happen and leave traces on the panel? I also wanna plug into it an iFi Micro iDSD Signature but there is not much info about it out there. I guess connecting it through RCA cables (as a sound bar would do) should be fine, or use rather an optical port adapter.

Hi. I am buying 4K HDR TV for Christmas, and I was wondering between two TVs as they are in the same price range. LG 60UH8507 vs Sony KD-55X9005CBAEP. I am new to the TV technologies as I never picked one for myself unlike PC parts, and am not that familiar with the Brands, since I don't own anything by Sony or LG. So I got issued a refund for my VU 43-OA 4k Premium Android TV 43". I know the VU tv I got isn't true HDR10 as its specs showed 8-bit color and it isn't DV certified either but still is capable of delivering stunning deep blacks. I got refund because this time they didn't give me remote. They said we can only do two things now, either we credit you 500 rupees or issue you complete refund I said come on latter then ?. The TV is still easily recommendable by me if on a tight strict budget, though. Now, we wanna extend our budget up to 1 lakh INR max (+/- 5 thousand INR tolerance) and probably a local dealer will make our day in the end as online prices are very dodgy. I went to a reputed dealer of LG in my city and he assured me of the best price. Now, I'll be having a demo of LG's mid-range IPS LCD lineup and Nanocell lineup tomorrow to figure out if they deliver right upto my expectations. After watching this Rtings video... ...my shortlisted models: 55UK6360PTE, 55UK6500PTC, 55SK8500PTA, 55UK7500PTA but I don't know which one will be the perfect choice for me. Else I'll go for B8 blindly. Have a few questions though: On the Nanocell 55SK8500PTA they say it's Cinema HDR while on the rest its Active HDR. I wanna know the difference between the two and does it even matter? How much time can I expect B8 to last long without any burn-in or image retention? Why is it so feared? If I run pixel refresher every month or so and watch the tv with proper care, is there any chances still of getting these terrible enemies of OLED? Should I consider Samsung QLED at all or did Samsung just made it to fool people? Should I go for Sony 55X900F? Same price as B8 but free from burn-in. How will it last? Anyone having a good experience with X900F? Are Sony's servicing charges for panel etc. more or less than LG? In other words, Is LG better in service? Whose extended warranty is better, LG or Sony? So basically I worked all summer at McDonald's to get some tech cash, upgraded my computer and everything, but I also bought the 43" 2018 LG 4K AI Thinq TV, and when I tried to stream youtube or netflix on its built in smart player on our 5ghz wifi which my s7 active normally gets around 150mbps, but my tv got around 7 to 12 if it was lucky. I looked online and found that other LG smart TVs had the same problem, even on pricier oled ones. I found a weird fix on tomshardware where you clear the advertising cookies and the browser cookies and something else and then unplug it for a bit but even after doing that it can barely get up to 1080p once in a while one room over from the router. I was wondering if anyone had any issues with any of their LG Tv's or have heard from any where else about this.

So my LG tv stopped working a few weeks ago. By this i mean the HDMI and composite video channels stopped working at all, they wont show any video signal. This happened once before and i had to replace what the provider named as the motherboard because it overheated and something got damaged. That solution is not available at this time as the tv seems to be too old. the only way there is any video signal is the USB port and the VGA (No matter what i plug into the vga it will say invalid format) Leaving the USB port as a last resort; Is there any way to plug an ISP tv box from HDMI and plugging it through a USB to the tv? PS; buying a new 32 inch tv where i live is not an option, there are no 1080p tv available at that size anymore. TV serial: Lg RBFS B721A

My name is Rares and I am from Romania(I know these things may not matter to some of you but since in the world prices vary a lot, I suppose the information will be needed somehow) As the title says, I am looking forward into buying a 4k tv this christmas. I already picked one, the LG 49UJ620V 4K TV since it's around $500 at this very moment. Maybe the price will be a bit lowered in the next few weeks.. but who knows. Now as I've read some reviews from my country this TV lacks the audio power and it kinda needs an amplifier with good speakers or a soundbar(which is hella expensive) but this isn't the main problem, because the TV will be connected to my PC(which will also be upgraded to coffee lake soon). Also I've heard that it lags somehow in some of the menus. Anyways does anyone know if it has HDMI 2.0 or not? If here, on the forums, are any owners of this TV, please could you give me some information about how well it performs? I am wondering if it was a good choice for the budget I have($500) or not.

Ok... i've got a new 42" TV from LG on my living room for streaming stuff via steam and watch netflix from my notebook. I have a audio system that is separate from the TV one, and i simply connect it to the notebook via the eighth inch jack and then I connect the notebook to the TV via VGA (all the HDMI's are occupied and this is the only connection free to use) The issue I'm having is, every time I turn a connected device on any input, or use VGA, the audio from the satellite receiver (connected on RCA) kicks in, via the TV, and its driving me crazy! If I remove the red and white RCA cables it stops, but that's not a sollution, it's just for then i'm using my notebook. When using HDMI, while the device is powered on, the audio comes via HDMI, but if I turn it off the audio from RCA goes again! I can't just disconnect the Satellite Receiver because my mother uses it to watch some exclusive channels, anyone ever heard of this? Tried searching for it but didn't find any answer. Tomorrow morning i'll try contacting LG. The TV Model is 42LY340C -SA Soon i'll upload a video of the issue. Thanks in advance if you at least read this
