Was working normally then upon opening an app it blue screen (Tried turning the phone back, blue screen instantly, tried charging it still no signs of the phone going back on, also attempted a phone reset by holding the button for about 20 seconds) Read that taking out the motherboard and preheating a oven to a certain temp or having a blowing dryer at high heat going towards a certain part of the back of the phone helps too but this stuff doesn't sound all that promising?

While trying to unlock my phone yesterday, it spontaneously shut off and has been completely unresponsive ever since. I've tried plugging it in, plugging it in without the battery, as I didn't get so much as usually red charging LED (the computer was unperturbed as well). I even took it apart (partly just for fun) to see if there was anything evident was wrong. Is there something I could do to attempt to revive it or must I bit farewell to my venerable LG G3?

Hi all, this is my first post in a while, with asking help, questions for my wondering topic. I saw LTT do a Android vs Iphone video with a rooted/ rommed G3 and a new battery as the Android test subject. I too had a G3, a AT&T USA model. When i saw how the guys put new life into such an old phone, i was perplexed. I have rooted that phone with a custom rom before, but never to that degree of, well, how good it looked and ran. I always thought the LG G4 rom was cool and what i wanted(this was back in 2015 i tried all this). But sadly, many apps didnt work well with the rom, some, such as Snapchat, outright seeing the root code and blocking me from using it or my Chase Bank app said it was too old of a software version. My question is, is there a workaround for this kind of thing? Is rooting and Custom romming a G3 any easier than it once was? And, with me having a few back up phones(work supplied) that have newer updates waiting should my current s7 active fail, is it EVEN WORTH me going through the hassle to bring the g3 back? I'm up for getting my monies worth out of th phone, as i paid for that one myself, but if its a hassle, or many features wont work, i cant be bothered to do any of it. Yknow? Thanks for being a cool community and id appreciate any help.

Hello, I have never been as confused with something as I am with phones. So many of them have this and don't have that. What I would like is a thin and small phone preferably 5'' or under which is fast enough for Youtube and browsing the web and has a 13MP camera or higher. I was looking at the S4 mini but it's outdated and expensive compared to much better phones but it's really small and good enough but it's not worth it to buy it when it's almost the price of an LG G3 here and the LG G3 is much better in every regard except it's kinda big. What would you guys recommend?

Hey everyone, I'd like to request some advice! I've seen quite a few tech comparisons of the two phones but I can't really decide. I'm in need of a new phone and can't make up my mind between the Zenfone 2 Laser ZE551KL and the LG G3 D855. I can't really spend more than this so I'm not looking at newer phones, these seemed pretty good anyway though. There's about a 60 dollars difference in price and I'd rather spend less than more... but I don't know if the better cpu on the G3 is really worth that much. I'm sold on the Zenfone on everything except for this particular spec. I never had a good smartphone before (current one barely handles the basic messaging app) so I can't really say what I'll be doing with it, I'm sure I'd like to game with it a bit but I don't think I care that much about it since I've still got my PC for that. What do you think? Thanks!

Hi, I haven't tried it yet but can I wirelessly charge my LG G3 while at the same time reading a NFC-Chip? I'm asking cause I bought a wireless Qi-Charger and would like to stick a NFC-Chip on the back or somewhere near to automatically change some settings on the phone through an App similar to Tasker whenever my phone is on that wireless charger. Unfortunately there is no direct feature in the app to detect if the device is wirelessly charging so I would really like to use a NFC chip. Both technologies use electro-magnetic waves as far as I know. Would they enterfere whith each other? (Sorry for not-that-perfect english)

I was trying to root my phone with the "Newest Root Method V03" which is a one click root installer for android devices. When i started this I had everything set up, all the drivers installed and updated, etc. It started normally and it shut off my phone and tried to find my serial # or something for the root and when it started back up it disconnected from my pc so i had to go into settings and turn on pc tethering and it connected again and turned my phone off and went into download mode and got stuck at 0% in firmware update. It disconnected from my pc again and is stuck and wont shut off and im not sure what to do please help. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-method-lg-devices-t3129197 <------ Link to where i downloaded the root and got instructions. I used the First Method. LG G3 D85520G is my device it was stock. It is currently sitting on my desk beside my slowly dying stuck on the firmware update screen. Not plugged in. Edit: It died.

Which one should I buy? LG G3 or Moto G gen. 3?? The G3 is currently ~$20 more expensive. I would like to hear about your experience if you have seen\owned one (or both!) of them.

I am needing some help with my LG G3. I'm on Verizon and just go the update to Marshmallow today. I use the Google Messenger app and now I can't send this gif anymore. I receive the error code "Attachment Limit Reached." I used to send this all the time when I was running Lollipop with out that error. I tried using the stock Verizon messaging app but it sends the gif as a still image. Did the limit get changed with Marshmallow, and is there any way to fix this? I think the issue could be with Google messenger, but I'm not positive. The files are 2.8 mb and 1.6 mb respectively. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

So my trusty 1st gen Moto G is really showing its age as of late, with the lack of expandable storage, 1GB RAM, relatively small screen and no 4G to boot my phone has become pretty lacklustre.. I'm hoping to finally get a new phone at the end of the month, but as I eagerly researched budget phone (less than 200 euro) I had a eureka moment, why not get an older flagship..? And here I am, torn between all the choices, like the Note 3, HTC One M8,LG G3 etc. But here is my problem, I quickly realised (after almost falling for the Note 3) that these phones won't be getting updates, I know the M8 has Marshmallow and the G3 has plans to get it. My problem is I want a phone that'll last at least another year and a half without getting sluggish. So my questions are, should I get a newer budget phone (feel free to recommend one) or go for the older flagship route? Will the older flagships become completely outdated in the next 2 years? Or am I being paranoid? (Because damn I want a note 3 so bad) As a side note, I live in Ireland so prices due to the Euro's state at the moment are pretty dismal... (I'll probably buy from a UK site if they deliver to Ireland) What I want in the phone is: 4g At least 2GB RAM 1080p (preferably) Expandable storage Big ass screen, the bigger the better, I have big hands And a strong enough processor to easily multitask for the next year and a bit. If you've any other questions let me know, thanks.

Hello Everyone, I have been thinking of buying one of the phones in the title (Lg G3 (3gb Ram), Asus Zenfone 2 (4gb Ram) or Meizu MX5) I find meizu mx5 the most beautiful with g3 a close 2nd (mostly because it doesn't have a metal back and its a little thicker) and the zenfone 3 lacking substancially Performance wise i believe g3 is faster but zenfone's 4gb of ram make it more than futureproof and a mutitasking while mx5 seems to be a lot slower. Also i will root the phone get rid of the bloatware and probably change the rom if it's not working for me, so that is not a problem for me Screen is a big thing for me and i believe g3 is a clear winner but the thermal issues dropping the brightness can be VERY annoying to me does it happen that often? Camera performance has me completely confused. I thought g3 had a great camera but f2.4 seems poor with mx5 decent f2.2 and zenfone's impressive f2.0 but lacking laser autofocus G3 seems sharper mx5 seems very good too bus zenfone lacks dynamic range creating contrasty images with either bad highlights or shadows. I have also heard that the g3 lacks battery life. i find all 3 of them in the same price group in my area so that is out of th question. My opinions are based on specs and youtube videos, are the real life results any different? Is the mx5 (My prime candidate) really that much slower (i will not play games on them or maybe extremely rarely rarely so that's not what i'm looking for)? What else do you have to say about them? Thanks for the help in advance!

The LG G3 D855 supports frequencies HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100 on 3g and GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 on 2g. I plan to use it on Wind Mobile in Canada (I was using an Xperia Z2 and then a Moto G on that network). I don't care about data speed or such. Just being able to read an article or two on data is good enough. Watching videos is optional although I do do so on data on both my Z2 and Moto G. I am sold my Z2 and am selling my Moto G. I am buying a phone for the amount I sold my Z2 for. The LG G3 and Oneplus One are my options. I prefer the G3 but I am not sure about connections. I need texting and calling. If it works just on 2g, I am OK with that. If it works on 3g as well, that's great.

Well this is kinda cool for people that already want to get a LG G3. Not really a decision maker though. So I decided I'm getting the LG G3 (model D852) due to Koodo Mobile's price drop to $360 CAD. However, I heard there are issues with Android 5.0 and I heard that 5.1.1 fixes most of them. My question is, should I stick with LG Optimus UI (based on 5.0 or 5.0.2) or install CM 12.1 Nightly (based on 5.1.1)? I've never installed a custom ROM before but I can follow step-by-step instructions really well and I've also done other stuff such as modding (Xbox 360, iOS/jailbreaking, and PC modding). Any advice would help as I'm planning on getting it by the end of this week or month.

Hey guys, i have an LG G3, and recently there have been dead spots (spots that wont pick up my touches) on the very top of the screen. I've had the screen replaced once already, but this was not an issue after it was first replaced. Is there any sort of a fix for something like this? Or is the problem with the screen itself? Note: it has been dropped a couple of times, however it hasn't been dropped from higher than a meter, and it always lives in a protective case. Thanks guys

So ive been really lazy and havent taken any action even though lollipop is available for my phone (sprint lg g3 (ls990)) but since im rooted I cant take the OTA (i think.). So I'm relatively new to the android game and to my knowledge I have to flash the OTA. I have TWRP recovery installed so thats not a problem, and I'm fully rooted. I was looking around and I think I found what I need. I think I just download this zip and flash it with TWRP and reboot and bam I'm on lollipop but I want to make sure that I'm not going to screw something up and brick the hell out of my phone. As of now I'm on 4.4.2 on the ZV4. Here is the link to the .zip ROM forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-lg-g3/development/stockzv8lodexed-t3030795 Can I flash straight into this ZV8 lollipop or do I have to go to zv6 first? It mentions something about the modem not being backwards compatible...? This will keep root for me? I will lose my stuff right? TL;DR: rooted ls990 with zv4 - can i flash the zip on the link above with twrp?

So here in a couple days, I am getting a LG G3 from Verizon.Only reason is because it has a removable battery and I get so annoyed having to charge my phone 4 times a day or having it die when i'm in the middle of no where (my old phone was a Droid 4 lol) so I want to get another battery and I found this http://www.amazon.com/3000mAh-Batteries-T-Mobile-18-Month-Warranty/dp/B00Q4K7Q34/ref=sr_1_4?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1423380195&sr=1-4&keywords=lg+g3+batteryand I'm wondering,, Is is a good brand of battery, and okay to work with the phone without damaging it (correct voltages and such)

Hi! So I am looking for a new android phone. I have done my research and narrowed my choice down to a few phones: - HTC ONE M8 ( 530€ = 599$ ) - LG G3 ( 370€ = 418$ ) - HTC ONE mini2 ( 310€ = 350$ ) - LG G3 S(mini) ( 140€ = 158$ ) I want a phone that will run smoothly when browsing the web, social media and YouTube. I also want to do some gaming on it and it would be great if it would last me more than a day doing all that stuff or at least until before I go to bed so I can charge it over night. I have chosen this phones (listed above) based on their reviews, performance and size. I would like your honest opinion on what I should buy and why. I don't want to spend more than I need to and 599$ is a lot of money to spend on a phone. If you think that there is another phone I should look at feel free to tell me wich one but keep in mind that I live in Europe so any phone that is only available in the US doesn't come into play for me. Thank you
