I've been experiencing some really strange lighting issues with my fans lately. Many of my fans don't light up or light up the wrong color. This persists after a restart. Then at some point, one or two green LEDs flash on one of my fans on and off for several minutes and then all LEDs magically start working. I have my fans arranged in a Lian Li O11 Dynamic with 9 LL120 RGB fans (3 fans on top, 3 fans on side, 3 fans on bottom). Here is my arrangement: Commander Pro LED Port 1 --> RGB Hub 1 --> 6 fans (1-3 on top, 4-6 on side) Commander Pro LED Port 2 --> RGB Hub 2 --> 3 fans (7-9 on bottom) Fan 1 partially lights up while fans 2-6 are all dark. Fans 7-9 have no issues. I initially thought it was an issue with RGB Hub 1 so I swapped it out with an extra one, no difference. Then, I swapped the connections so: Commander Pro LED Port 1 --> RGB Hub 2 --> 3 fans (7-9 on bottom) Commander Pro LED Port 2 --> RGB Hub 1 --> 6 fans (1-3 on top, 4-6 on side) This seemed to have fixed my issue so I was going to just ask Corsair for a new Commander Pro, thinking one of the ports was bad or something. But the issue came back with the SAME FANS (1-6). I feel like it's very unlikely 6 of my fans would decide to have issues all at the same time, and since I eliminated several hardware problems, either my Commander Pro is faulty or I'm having software issues. Any help would be appreciated!

Corsair K30 Lighting Animations
LliamCasey posted a blog entry in Corsair K30 Raptor Lighting Effects
Hello. I have just purchased a Corsair K30 Raptor edition (at least that's what I think it's called) keyboard in a sale at a local store. Although I had my heart set on a K90, my budget is tight and I would have rather put my money in areas concerning my actual machine as opposed to the peripherals. I'm well aware that the K30 only has the red backlighting and if I wanted RGB-esque customization I should have shelled out an extra £10 for the K40, however they were all out of stock when I got there and the deal on the K30 was just too good. I was wondering if there are anyways of my changing any lighting animations that can be seen across other Corsair keyboards. The software allows me to only change the brightness and use the one pulsing led effect so I was really looking for some third party software that would do the trick. Thank you Lliam -

I have recently purchased a Aorus 3060 12g Rev. 2.0 i have the 8 pin and 6 pin power connectors and everything runs just fine. I upgraded from my rog 2060s which just like this 3060 has two led lights to show power connection but on this 3060 they aren't on they flash once when my pc is turned on but once its posts and starts boot they turn off should i be concerned or how can i turn them on if there is and option i have the fusion software but dont see an option for them? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hey everyone, so i ordered all kinds of rgb stuff and installed them into my case.. but the problem im having is that most of it is very low brightness. G-skill TridentZ ram is very dimmed corsair and nzxt fans (except the back one i feel like) screen on my nzxt kraken z63 i have been thinking about adding another connector from my power supply.. but like i said my ram and some system fans have the same problem and they are connected to my motherboard essentially. does anyone have a possible solution? Any help is appreciated i also added a picture where u can see that the rgb cables and the back fan are a lot brighter than the rest of the stuff P.S. any software that helps me test stuff like this is also appreciated. I have my GPU in the bottom slot since in the top one i started getting artifacts. So I also have a slight feeling my motherboard is slowly dying… but no clue how to actually test that. The top pcie slot could also just be broken

Hello there. Before I begin, these are my specs: Motherboard: GIGABYTE Aorus Gaming 7 CPU: Intel i7 8700K GPU: Gainward's GeForce RTX 2080 Super Phantom RAM: 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance LPX Black Storage: - Samsung SSD 960 EVO 250GB; - Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 500 GB; - Western Digital 500 GB Hard Drive; - Western Digital 2 TB Hard Drive. So what happened? Yesterday, I decided to mount a PCI Ethernet card to my PC, because my onboard cards were slowing down frequently for no reason (both the Ethernet and the Killer); I dropped a mounting screw behind the PSU, so I had to disconnect the PSU for 2 minutes to recover it. After I mounted the PCI card, I worked for a few hours, after which I realized that one of my hard drives (the new 2TB one) wasn't displayed. When I tried to shut it down, I noticed that the motherboard and GPU LEDs were staying on, and all the fans were still running. The Motherboard has a small LCD screen with 2 digits, and when this happens, that screen posts a D5 error. According to the manual, that translates into "No Space for Legacy Option ROM initialization". I honestly have no idea what that means. I tried resetting the bios, but I don't know if I did it right. The board has a reset button, which I pressed for like a minute after cutting all the power to the board. The thing is, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to remove the CMOS batter as well. Besides that, I also tried re-flashing the bios. Still, the board only kept detecting the input from one hard drive, which was odd. When it got very late I decided to go to sleep and try more today. I cut the power to the PC again, pressed the reset button for another minute, and left the PC without power until morning. Morning came (about an hour before posting this) and when I powered the PC on, I realized that the hard drive problem was gone. The board correctly detects all my storage now. However, the other problem still remains. The board doesn't properly shut down, and I always have to turn it off by force (holding the power button). I don't know what to do with this one. I refuse to believe the board is ruined, just from disconnecting the PSU for 2 minutes. Has anyone else experienced this? I've attached 2 pictures with my power and chipset settings. Hopefully they help.

So ive always wanted to create like a concert light show, does anybody know good beginners software for this type of thing? Like maybe a software where they have kinda prebuilt light acessories that you can play with and then later buy more to plug into the show? Is there such thing as this?

I recently installed 2 30cm RGB LED strips in my PC case and was wondering, how much power do they actually use? This is of course assuming all LED strips are equal.

From kids room to office game room! Started with an idea and some wood. First time to hang tile. learned that having a tile saw is a must have. Granite guys made did a great job installing the tops. If your in the Houston area give Majestic Stone Texas a Call! Started putting the first coats of primer and paint on the bottom shelves. Still need to finish the ends where the tile meets the end and touch-up the walls.. Used Bondo brand wood filler for the most part but tried a water based filler on the end of the desk (below), not a fan, took way longer to dry.

Sup folks, Not too long ago I made a post about putting a model car inside of a PC case. Well, it has arrived today! It's apparently silver-plated... Yikes! Didn't know that (stupid)... I'm reconsidering whether I'd put this in my case, as it's beautiful, but I don't know how well silver-plated stuff reacts to heat (probably around 30~40°C in the case). Maybe you guys know. Anyway, here are the pictures! Bought some cheapo LED strip to see how it reflects the light, looks pretty cool! Let me know your thoughts! Regards, TJ

Okay everyone, what do I need to know about LEDs in my case? I need a "controller" I gather. Are all controllers and LED strips interchangeable? What kind of caveats do I need to keep in mind when selecting and installing LEDs? I know this is a bit of a vague question, but I've honestly never messed with any of them. I'm about build a new rig and wanting to put some in there. Thanks in advance!

Anyone have recommendations for LED lighting strips? Am looking to add a bit of colored lighting to my build but do not know anything about LED strips and would like to avoid getting something garbage. Tips on mounting the strips also greatly appreciated.

Inside my computer, I have a set of the NZXT Hue + LEDs. They have been great except fo the cam software. It crashes and slows down. It doesn't let me log in sometimes and it sometimes doesn't recognize the LEDs. Is there a third party app for the Hue + that works a bit better because I could really use a better version?

So i want to start decorating my rig. I got the blackwidow ultimate keyboard (so it's green) and the deathadder chroma mouse (which is set to purple). I wanted opinions on whether i should just set all green (buy green leds strips and fans for pc case and for desk underglow, also razer firefly mouse pad color) or should i mix green and purple? what do you guys think would look better?

so i have a few quetions about orange led's. im looking for a 5mm but i want a bright one. i looked on ebay and the specs seem to range form 3v all the way up to 14v. my test i did with the led i had (no idea what i had) was with a 3v button battery. also dose flat top make a difference? im going to be sending it down a 1/2 water cooling tube so wide angel is not need. also is there such thing as rgb 3mm led the ones with 4 leads? im guessing 5mm rgb with 4 leads will be less bright as one that is just orange.

I have a lot of trouble getting my led strips to stick to the back of my monitor. I tried the 3M strip that was preapplied on the back of the LEDs and feels extremely sticky on skin,TESA and more TESA but they just always fall of dragged down by there own weight. I have no idea how to semi permanently attach them. I want to be able to remove them without any left over glue or marks if possible but I also want them to stay where I put them a week ago Please halp meh, I am not gud with sticky stuv

Hello guys, I was shopping for a Hue+ today and I saw as descrpition that it come with 500mm, 300mm and 100mm extension cables. I suppose that these are the power cable for the actual Hue controller right? I was wondering if you have to purchase the led strips separate or do they come with the Hue+ box and if they do, in what lengths? Also, Merry xmas to you all

So I'm working on a senior project for my electronics class(In high school) and one of the things we'll need to make it work is we want a row of leds (Or a strip depending) to light up but only one by one as resistance changes. So say resistance is set at x one led will be on but then you turn it down and led one and 2 turns on, then 1 and 2 and 3 and so on and so on. I haven't been able to get anything with just resistors and leds working. Perhaps I need another component, or a diode of sorts? Perhaps some sort of IC. I'd really appreciate any input.

Hello people. I'm sat with a really good offer on a 460x RGB cabinet, with the 3 SP120 RGB fans in the front. I also have three HD120 RGB fans already (two as push in a H100i-rad, one as exhaust. Now my question is, will they all co-operate if plugged in the same led-hub, in the 460x, or will they be all over the place in their leds? In short, will the great offer make me able to have all 6 fans breathing together, or will the 3 SP120's do one thing, the three HD120's something else, or all together nothing at all (LED-wise, obviously). The offer isn't so great, if I need to buy an extra 3 HD120s. Thanks for your input, and happy hunting tomorrow (or, in my Scandinavian case, in three hours).

The LEDs on my case are not working. There is a button to switch between the case controlling the LEDs, or the motherboard controlling the LEDs. There are two blue LEDs near the the button, and they are both lit up, and pressing the button does not change anything. Here are all of my specs: i7-8700K GTX 1070 Ti * 2 8 GB RAM * 4 Asus Prime Z370 A Corsair RM1000i Enermax Saberay RGB case I also have an Asus LED SLI bridge, that plugs in with a cable. So the LEd cable for the case plugs into the SLI cable which plugs into the motherboard. I took it apart to check the cable connection here and everything was fine. Any ideas? Here are some pictures:

Hello, I'm planning on adding some ambylight so my setup around my monitors. I've found a good software for the actual ambilight (ambibox in my case) it fits my needs. But I don't want it to always replicate my screen. I'm searching for software that is similar to what you can find on RGB peripherals. where I can choose and costumize the lighting effects and more. Ambibox has a RGB spectrum function but I want options more like on peripherals as I said. Additionally it also would be nice if it'd have somekind of music mode. Ambibox also has one but it is realy bad, I assume because it's not build for that purpose. A dedicated software for that purpose would be better I assume, so let me know if you have one for me

Welcome all to my graphic equaliser build log. A graphic equaliser is simply a graphic display of various frequency bands of audio. My plan is to build one from LEDs (specifically an LED strip), and mount it on my wall. I've actually done a fair bit of work on this so far, but I wanted to make sure i was going to actually finish the project before I posted about it. My plan is eventually to have this mounted on my wall. The basic operation is around the MSGEQ7 graphic equaliser chip and an Arduino Uno (Atmega 328p) microcontroller. The MSGEQ7 outputs an analogue voltage between 0 and 5V based on the amplitude of a given input within 1 of it's 7 frequency bands. The datasheet can be seen below for those of you who are interested: https://www.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Components/General/MSGEQ7.pdf I can go into more detail on this if people are interested, but I won't waste my hypothetical breath on it if no one is! This output is connected to an analogue input on the Arduino, and read by the software. The Arduino then drives serial data to the WS2812S LED strip (using the FastLED library). The LED strip is RGB and 5m long (300 LEDs). I've split this into 7 frequency bands, so each 43 LEDs represents one frequency band. The idea is that each band lights up a number of LEDs based on the volume of the sound in that frequency band (i.e. a graphic equaliser). The software is the magic part of this project, so the code can be seen below, plus some photos. The next stage is to get the hardware soldered onto strip board, and cut up the LED strip into 7 parts. I'm hoping that the code doesn't need much change from this point as I am trash at software (I'm an electronics engineer) compared to hardware. I've put up a YouTube video of it in it's current state in operation (apologies for the trash quality. It was on my phone and YouTube compression, lol). https://youtu.be/rzZRBRx6bKg Any questions, fire away! I'll post updates as regularly as I do them Code: Photos:

I recently done my first build in with a tempered glass side panel, It accidentally turned into a black with white highlights color scheme (barring my ssd, I'm 3d printing a cover to remedy that later). Why not spice up and reinforce the theme with white leds? I have some white leds strips used for store signage "borrowed" from my parents. It runs of 12v power. My power supply is the seasonic m12II, how would I go on powering this?
