Summary AMD's Strix Halo Mobile APU has been leaked and it appears to have the graphics performance of a laptop 4070. (The 4070 Laptop has the performance benchmarks of a Radeon RX 6700 XT) Estimations of its arrival are in the second half of 2024. This looks like AMD attempt to hit three birds with one stone. The birds being Intel, Nvidia, and Apple. Quotes My thoughts I hope AMD delivers at their normal budget price point. I would like to see this in desktops eventually. Summary LTT Sponsor, FreshBooks, leaves a publicly accessible AWS Storage bucket unsecured which contained database backups of their Wordpress website and easily crackable passwords giving an attacker access to modify live website content or more. Quotes My thoughts FreshBooks obtained a SOC 2 Type 1 certification just a few days after this leak was disclosed to them. How many of those 121 leaked passwords were reused by their staff on the administration side of their accounting platform? Hopefully FreshBooks investigated this and will publish a post mortem. Maybe this will be a topic for this week's WAN Show. When I power up my laptop, the TaskManager shows that memory uses about 60%(Installed 8GB DDR4) But I put it overnight(Maybe only open Vivaldi Browser and open a few tabs or not open anything), the memory usage goes up to over 90%, and with huge disk activity.(Seems like it read-write to the page file a lot) The screenshots of the problem occur: The RamMap Program Full RamMap Stat(Dump from the RamMap Program): BOB-X560UD.zip The task manager(Sorry it's a Chinese Language)

According to Tom's hardware, AMD has it's Zen 3 desktop APUs under wraps Untill a chinese ebay seller started selling an Ryzen 3 5300G engineering sample, here's the ebay link for proof but It is currently out of stock. Besides that, the report goes on to say that of course those chips are based on the TSMC 7nm like the other predecessors from the 5600X to the 5950X and: but of course without AMD's confirmation, we can't actually tell whenever this chip will actually be launched either to the market or OEMs or as a Ryzen 3 pro 5350G, just like the Zen 2 APUs For the APU Performance, the seller seems to have done a brief review (https://youtu.be/P1YthiKLsJI) of this engineering sample but in summary, One of the games he tested with this APU, Battlefield V gives around 40-50 FPS at 1080p low settings, which is an improvement over last gen so far and the cpu itself is slightly more powerful than the Ryzen 3 3300x with around a 1-2% margin and with a total of 2985.12 in CPU-Z multi threading benchmark but that's just the tip of the iceberg so far. Let's not forget that availability matters too, if those APUs manage to launch to the market, it'll most likely be out of stock earlier Summary The Ryzen 3 5300G was leaked but it is still in engineering sample, an eBay seller started selling one of these engineering samples and now they are out of stock, no confirmation from AMD so far, Performance on the table seems to be great but official pricing or launch has to follow in order to tell and while it beats the Ryzen 3 3300X CPU, it is so slightly with around 1-2% margin. Also gaming performance for an APU only does seem promising so far. Quotes My thoughts I'm just hoping that if this is true and If AMD actually launches these APUs at a good price to the market and the CPUs/GPUs shortages are gone, I think this is going to be a really great budget APU for budget gamers who are looking to build an APU based PC in 2021 or so or have a budget CPU with a great dedicated GPU. This should be really cool alltho AMD should have just launched Ryzen 3 Zen 3 CPUs rather than APU but assuming it launches in the market, that's the right step of the direction, especially again for budget gamers. This is more of a discussion question than a pressing matter, but I'm just wondering if there's any consensus on the general lifespan of an AIO. I've got an EVGA clc240 that's been chugging right along since mid-2017, and I've been wondering if I need to think about replacing it at some point before it causes any problems. That line of thinking lead me to wonder just how long these things can be expected to last... Is 5 years a reasonable time to get a new one?

Tried to boot up my computer and was met with CPU overheating and then it shut off. Looked inside and the fan had stopped and something was leaking. edit: well I found the leak, looks like it’s coming out of the seams of the heatsink how should I go about fixing it? Or should I just replace it

Strongly considor watching Jon Prossors video. Pure comedy gold, and just an overall better report. This forum post is made to inform people about this rumor, and direct peoples attention to the video. Summary After one week of nothing at all, known leaker Jon Prossor from Front Page Tech has revealed his renders of the 2022 iPhone, the iPhone 14. Quotes No. Go and watch Jon Prossors video. He (and RendersByIan) deserves it. And after you watched the video, here are some real quotes: From the video: (No I am not going to spend my day writing down everything Jon said just watch the video already) From MacRumors: From 9to5Mac: From AppleInsider: My thoughts Wow. iPhone 14, six days before iPhone 13 (or whatever it's going to be called). Insane. Hole punch display? Mmm. No camera bump? Check. Titanium chassis? Check. Jon Prossor is no 100% leaker, but he is fairly decent at this stuff. Previous reports about the new iMacs, AirTags design and much more was made by him. But still, take this rumor with a bit of salt. You shouldn't rely on rumors, but this does look sick. Just admire it for yourself. Can anyone share the current helium health status of their 5 years (and older) Helium Drives? I googled the average Helium life of the new drives and it said roughly '5 Years'. I want to know the 'real-life' status. Thanks.

So it appears my hardline cooling cracked while I was away for a week and started leaking/drawing in air. My motherboard will no longer post, so I am assuming the CPU is fried from overheating. There was luckily no coolant leakage onto the motherboard itself. The tricky thing here is that this is hardline tubing with compression fittings (Digital Storm was the builder). Short of brute force, I have no idea how to begin removing it to drain the line and remove the cooling block to check the CPU. This is out of warranty, so it's not worth the $ to send cross-country back to DS for repair. I should mention that DS unfortunately put no drain ports in the loop for this version of Aventum case. Thoughts?

Geekbench scores are up! Not only did the MacBook Air shred the 2019 MacBook Pro with the 9980HK, but it somehow also beat the ARM MacBook Pro with the cooling fan to "push it to the limit". Intriguing... Linus, looks like your models are arriving late. Want me to run some tests for you? https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/compare/4652718?baseline=4651916

There was a discovered leak from Verizon that has been reportedly been leaking customers' information, potentially for months, due to a flaw in a chat system on their website. This event caused addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, and other personal/private information to be leaked. Verizon's response: “We’re looking into an issue involving our online chat system that assists individuals who are checking on the availability of Fios services. We believe a small number of users may have seen a name, phone number, and/or a home or building address from an unrelated individual who had previously used this chat system to enter that information. Since the issue was brought to our attention, we’ve identified and isolated the problem and are working to have it resolved as quickly as possible.” TL;DR Flaw discovered in Verizon's chat system on their website Leak caused personal/private information to be leaked (Addresses, phone numbers, account numbers, etc.) Check your security/profile & change password just in case Article: https://hotforsecurity.bitdefender.com/blog/verizon-leaks-customer-conversations-personal-data-through-flawed-chat-window-on-its-website-24708.html

IIRC in another post someone said that AIOs tend to last around 3 years (give or take). Also there's the chance of leaks. I saw the 4090 Suprim AIO version and got me thinking about this

Summary A senior Engineer at Google named Blake Lemoine is on administrative leave after releasing protected conversations he had with the Google AI LaMDA. He leaked the "conversations" he had with the AI in attempt to prove his idea that the project had gained a level of self awareness that warrented larger discussion. Quotes My thoughts I am honestly not sure myself- I have read the conversations at length (source 1) and do understand Lemoine's concerns, but I don't think I echo them. I argue though that what this interaction does prove is that as AI becomes more complex, espically as the use of Neural Networking styles of processing inhibits our ability to easily understand underlying code and processing, a model to actually measure sentience is going to be essential. This "model" could help both in reducing false positives, as well as giving us a framework to help indicate an actual positive. I recognize that a model like that is an overwhelming task- and for people smarter than I am to debate how to create this. I suspect this would need to be a combined endeavor with some combinations of programmers and AI engineers, as well as neurologists, philosophers, and linguists. Thoughts? *I am a security engineer and an hobby developer- I am not an expert in these matters, please read the data for yourselves. I am just a tech enthusiast who loves the challange and conversations. A Hong Kong-based outlet has acquired 10th gen Intel Comet Lake S parts, complete with fully functional boards, BIOS and microcodes. The i7 is just more of the same (basically a 9900K rebrand) while the real shitstorm are the lower end CPUs. The i5 appear to be standard 6/12 affairs with disappointing performance even compared to Zen 2, I can only imagine how much worse they'll get annihilated when Zen 3 comes in a few months. As expected, LGA1200. I can already imagine Intel executives' mouths watering at the prospect of selling yet more chipsets. EDIT: Comet Lake-S PL2 and PL1 limits revealed. OUCH. That's just absurd. THOUGHTS: Disappointing, very disappointing. I hoped at least some cache or clock improvements would push these CPUs further but, as it stands, they're no better than existing 9000 series models. THOUGHTS 2: Power Overwhelming [Cheat Enabled} Source 2:https://www.notebookcheck.net/Comet-Lake-S-may-require-hefty-CPU-coolers-Core-i9-10900F-shown-to-have-a-170-W-PL1-TDP-and-224-W-PL2-for-a-4-6-GHz-all-core-boost.460196.0.html Source: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Hong-Kong-outlet-leaks-Comet-Lake-S-performance-review-i7-10700-i5-10600K-i5-10500-and-i5-10400-go-up-against-AMD-Ryzen-3700X-3600X-and-Coffee-Lake.459680.0.html

Hello new member here asking for help ! :) I have a 16gb Memory setup. currently my ram, with only 1 chrome tab open is sitting at 14gb. Processes show chrome being the top memory eating sitting at 500MB and next to it is the Anti Malware Executable sitting at 20MB. There is no way that all my processes total to 14GB of memory. Actually i have been observing this lately, when ever i dont restart/turn off my computer for weeks the ram usage would slowly creep up. I know for sure that this is some program/drivers leaking memory. A;though a restart solves this problem. But i think its time that i address this problem. How do i find this program? also if you recommend a software it must be usable without restarting the computer because this would cause everything to reset and my ram would go back to its normal 4 or 5 GB of usage. It would take weeks again for this to go up again. Thank you for your help

Today (February 22nd, 2017) a tech youtuber (I don't know if i'll get him into trouble if I say his name, but everyone knows who i'm talking about) released his AMD Ryzen video at the same time as pretty much every other techtuber (come on Jay, where's your video?). Some hours later, this video was made private and another video was reuploaded later. In the reuploaded video, some references to the AMD Vega cards were bleeped, but that was probably a joke. A part of the video was cut out where an overclocking event was filmed. At this event, Ryzen CPU's (probably 1800X's) were running Cinebench R15. One of theze CPU's was hitting in the 5.1 Ghz range (5.14? 5.16? I'm not sure) and apparently set a world record for 8-core processors.I think the score was something like 2453, but don't quote me on that. This would be extremely impressive for a CPU running at 5.1 Ghz, because the current 8 core record (2445) was achieved on a 5960X at 6.044 Ghz. The youtuber polsted a comment saying "YOU SAW NOTHING" in the comments section of his reuploaded video.

Hey LTT. Just this morning I woke up to find my phone screen covered in this black and bluish something that almost completely obstructed the screen. I think the LCD screen might've leaked or something but I'm no expert on things like this (the smudges are below the top screen, and the touchscreen still works fine). Anyone have any idea what the problem is? Thanks a ton in advance! Pics: http://imgur.com/a/27VTJ EDIT: By the way, it was working just fine last night, and it hasn't been dropped or anything since then.

So I have an issue, I have a i5 6500 and im tired of looking at the stock intel cooler, I was considering buying the Cryorig H7 or C7. When i have the new cooler I want to boost clock my cpu. Now i found this AIO that looks very nice, and is very cheap. Link to cooler: https://www.amazon.co.uk/DEEPCOOL-Maelstrom-Liquid-Cooler-Cooling/dp/B01FVSFO1A/ref=s9_simh_gw_g147_i1_r?_encoding=UTF8&fpl=fresh&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=&pf_rd_r=JGZSJXHPCR19KMCZK29H&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=16f14aeb-bd11-4e9e-8c26-9ca0139074ee&pf_rd_i=desktop I am worried about leaks tho and if it's worth it since I only have an i5 6500. Aesthetics are important to me but not the most so much that I would make a bad purchase. The other reason why i would take this route is because of the following, I only have 1 intake fan right now and 1 exhaust fan + power supply exhaust. This is negative pressure, i want possitive pressure. So if i went the route of the C7 or H7 i would need an extra fan as well. But if i would take the route of the AIO i would use this as an exhaust + the power supply and move the current exhaust fan to be an intake fan. Which would make the total basicly the same: C7 or H7 + rgb fan VS AIO cooler. All help is welcome. Thanks for reading.

Update 21/03/17 New images from Evan Blass @evleaks on Twitter Nothing unexpected here, looks very similar to my S7 Edge, maybe a slightly reduced curvature on the edge which would help with accidental touches. That rear fingerprint reader is gonna cause a lot more fingerprint on the camera though Original post http://www.theverge.com/2017/3/19/14973670/samsung-galaxy-s-8-phone-photo-rumor-leak-colors-price Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus (top to bottom) in black sky, orchid grey and arctic silver (left to right) Pricing: S8 - 799€S8+ - 899€DeX - 150€GearVR - 129€Gear360 - 229€ Leaked by Evan Blass @evleaks on Twitter Thoughts: My gosh is that a good looking phone, I particularly like the clean front and the choice to not shoehorn in a Samsung logo. Pricing looks high as expected from Samsung's flagship products. Shame about them not being able to integrate the fingerprint scanner under the screen this time around. DeX product is apparently a docking station for the phone, should be interesting but looking expensive if it is just a video and usb passthrough dock. I wonder if the new GearVR price will include the recently announced controllers, also hopefully it retains compatability with the S6/7 lineup. New Gear360 as well, hoping for better stitching/higher frame rates.

I recently purchased a xspc d5 tank reservoir and a alphacool vpp655 pwm pump and when I tested for leaks it leaked around the pump reservoir seal. I know that there is no problem with the res, there where just really bad instructions for how to install the pump.
