Hello everyone! This is my first post here since I figured if anyone could figure this out, it would be this community. I just put my order in for a Steam Deck. My girlfriend and I are currently long distance and thought the Steam Deck will be perfect for when we fly to visit each other, which it totally will be. However, after some additional research, I have learned that one of our favorite games, League of Legends, is not easily installed on the Steam Deck or requires some work arounds to barely function. Has anyone installed any Riot Games on their Steam Deck? Are you able to play online? Can you help with documenting the process? Thank you!

I'm new to building PC and this forum, but I thought I should try my luck here. I was playing League and the game froze, and I noticed that both my GPU/CPU usage drops to 0% and my SSD spikes to 100% when this happens(see photo). I wasn't able to see what was using my disk at that time but I assume it was the game file (everything on SSD, HDD is a linux boot) I would appreciate any help or suggestions to where to start trouble shooting. Specs: CPU:Ryzen 3 3200G GPU: MSI 2GB GTX 760 RAM: G.SKILL RipjawsV Series 16GB(2x8GB) DDR4 3600MHz (running at 2133MHz) MB:ASROCK B450M HDV PSU: XFX 750W 80+ Gold PSU

I'm on Manjaro with kde, and I was really happy to see that 99% of the things I need to daily is available and sometimes easier to do than on windows. League id the only thing that really holds me back, because that is the only game that everyone in my friend group plays, so we play together and have a chat daily there. First, I installed lutris (from pacman not github, not sure if there is a difference) and followed the install guide, with closing the client before logging in and all. Didn't work. Then I found this guide with snap and starting it with --devmode. Didn't work either. After that I said f*ck it and found a guide to compile it myself, as you can guess didn't work either. The thing is it’s the same problem 3 times. The launcher loads in, I log in, there is a screen to choose what riot game to launch, then screen where there is a clip playing and on the bottom left corner a blue start button. I click on the button, the window disappeared except a small piece from the middle (a freeze frame from the video playing, like a centre 9th), then there is nothing happening, I waited 30 mins once, nothing. There is a riot games logo on the right of the system tray, if I click on it the launch window comes back up, the one with the blue start button, however the button is greyed out and can't click on it. I have no idea what to do, not even what troubleshooting steps to make. The only thing that now came to me as I was writing this is I updated the kernel and as I'm on an arch based distro, it might not have been a good idea. I would be glad if someone could confirm a kernel version where league works.

Hey! I've got this problem where when I stream (in-game, or not) my stream's FPS drops from 60 to 10-20 FPS for a few seconds. BUT I do NOT get any DROPPED FRAMES in the Streamlabs troubleshoot section! I can only see the FPS counter on the bottom right corner going from 60 to 10-15 when it happens. I use Streamlabs OBS, because it's pretty helpful and easier ot use than OBS, I've tried the normal OBS and I still have the same problem. This problem occurs every 10-15 seconds when I'm live and people tend to get annoyed by it, saying they're like scrolling Google Images and leave the stream, obviously... This ''lag'' is only on my stream, I feel nothing when I'm in a League game for example. I play with 144 fps steadily on a 144Hz Monitor, while my stream lags every few seconds. I've tried different stream settings, for example lowering my bitrate, lowering the video quality of my stream. lowering the video quality of my games, changing from NVENC to x264, nothing works!? If anyone has a solution, I'd be glad to hear it out! Here are my PC's specs: Motherboard: MSI Z170I Gaming Pro AC CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 HDD: Random 1TB hard disk SSD: Samsung 120GB This is my old computer which I use here in my hometown when I come back every now and then. I've streamed from it for a couple of years back in like 2016 till 2018 and I never had any of these problems. My guess is that the PC is just old?

True Damage are a new, virtual hip-hop group created by Riot Games derived from the game League of Legends. The group features artists Duckwrth, Thutmose, Becky G, Keke Palmer, and Soyeon from (G)I-DLE, the last of which also featured in Riot Games' virtual K-pop group K/DA, also playing Akali. As a fan fo K/DA and vibing with POP/STARS, I was very interested in True Damage when they were announced. I honestly had thought True Damage would've been similar to K/DA, but True Damage turned out to be featuring a hip-hop concept as conveyed by the characters' skins. The annoucements of artists like Becky G and Soyeon from (G)I-DLE caught me off guard as I immediately thought "There's no way they could do something similar to POP/STARS with this lineup." Of course, I knew I had to get on the Riot Games train of virtual groups, so today I'll be listening to True Damage's 'GIANTS' and talking about the composition, instrumentals, vocals, as well as parts that I like throughout the song. 0:06 - Such an earthy and heavy bass 'wub' to start things off to give a very urban vibe about this song so far. 0:12 - The same earthy and deep bass is awesome and accompanies the raspy yet contrasting tone of Thutmose, I'm loving his flow in this rap segment. 0:25 - The bass seems to have picked up a notch here as well as Thutmose elevating his tone a bit higher too, I like the hype his rap generates. 0:31 - I absolutely love that autotune, it's used perfectly to give his voice some switchup and body to keep his rap from being too bland and linear. 0:37 - The earthy bass has been swapped for an airy and breathy windy lowend with Becky G's vocals kicking in. It's a nice contrast from the urban and masculine atmosphere from Thutmose's verse to this serene and gracious pre-chorus. 0:49 - The chorus is banging, there's now a breathy and earthy bass instrumental to go with the vocals of Keke Palmer, her naturally mature and powerful vocal tone goes well with the instrumental which is around the same octave range, which creates a nice flow between the initial chorus with Thutmose and his urban and deep tone, and Becky G's sexy and airy tone, and here with the powerful vocals from Keke Palmer. Awesome chorus. 1:05 - Becky G enters back in with the same vibe as Thutmose's verse, the earthy and deep bass returns but this time matched with Becky G's sexy vocals for a nice contrast between Becky G and Thutmose's verses to keep the two verses from being too similar, and to keep the song interesting. 1:17 - Soyeon comes in with a vibe similar to Keke Palmer just now, they two share similar vocal tones but the difference here is that Soyeon has a slightly faster tempo in terms of her rap compared to Becky G who was very modest and calm in her pacing. 1:35 - What I like about this pre-chorus is that there is some slight subvocals in the (they won't) to keep the pre-chorus from being a repeat of the first pre-chorus and to keep the airy and open atmosphere of the song. 1:53 - I like that this second chorus prevents itself from being a copy of the first chorus by continuing on into an extension, this is awesome as I really expected it to go back to the "Sleeping giants, sleeping sleeping giants" but I love that the chorus continued along and kept the vibes going. 2:12 - Huge turn in tempo of the song, it's very low-key and hip-hoppy from Duckwrth, even his vocals/rap is very slow and calm, which is a huge mixup from the previous vibes from the song being very airy, deep, and mysterious. I like this bridge as it keeps the song from being too in-your-face with the bass as well as giving the listener some breathing room to take a break from the heavy and deep bass that has bee prevelant throughout the song. 2:40 - Keke's adlib "OOOOOH" is awesome. No other way around that, that was an awesome transition into the final chorus of the song. One last punchy, deep, bassy chorus to finish the song off after being teased with that lowkey and slow bridge. I really loved this collaboration. Everybody's voices throughout the song were recognisable in their own unique way, such as Becky G's sexy and seductive feminine voice, Soyeon's dominant and powerful voice, and Thutmose's urban and dark tone, they all blend together well in the composition of the song. Especially given how much I was hesitant about how all these artists' chemistry would work, but they all absolutely worked together and I love that. I absolutely love the dark, earthy, and deep bass that goes throughout the song, it really encapsulates the hip-hop and urban vibe that True Damage are going for, it's awesome. I love how dirty and deep the bass is, and I'm not usually one for bass. I think given that I'm using my FiiO FH5 in-ear monitors to play this song is why I enjoy all the low-end that this song offers. Do I like GIANTS more than K/DA's POP/STARS? I wouldn't say yes, but I wouldn't say no either. Both groups are unique in their own right, but GIANTS has a more interesting composition and arguably a more powerful chorus, the bass is so powerful and triumphant, and the transitions between verses, choruses, and especially that amazing bridge makes GIANTS a wonderfully-created song. I still haven't gotten over that extended chorus, it continues on the urban and dark vibe of the song and it's probably my favorite part of the entire song for just how powerful it makes the song sound. Just like K/DA, I would absolutely love more music from True Damage. Please Riot, please, I need more of GIANTS.

Just a simple question, does anyone know where and when 100 Thieves will be competing? I am watching the CWL Atlanta Open right now and I don't see 100 Thieves anywhere. I love Nadeshot and I love 100 Thieves but Nadeshot hasn't said anything about them for a long time and I haven't heard anything about them from other channels. Are they still a team or what?

I think I literally watched trick2g take off in the stream world. From season 3. I know he started earlier than that, and the video that kind of blow off on the internet (reddit) is one nunu jungle video. I've watched him 1vs2 top lane, vs ashe and zyra. And beat the shit out of the duo. I've watched him playing other games like unturned. And got stomped by one of his fan. I've seen he hosted so many subwars and get kind of burn out by it. I've seen he struggled with booze and coca cola. Also in later season he kind of avoided league because of burnt out and not really happy with the direction league is going., I've seen him duo with sirchz and just dominated the diamond tier. I'm pretty sure riot added laser beam AFTER trick and sirchz just tower dive/split push like crazy. He is definitely the streamer I look up to. And his stream helped me went through a super difficult period of time. What's your favorite league streamer? Or favorite streamer in general?

Hello, I have a computer with these parts: Gigabyte B450 DS3H Ryzen 5 2400G (stock cooler) Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 Windforce OC G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3000 8gbx2 (16gb) SeaSonic EVO Edition 620W 80+ Bronze Certified Power Supply Kingston SA400S37/240G (Just a 240gb SSD connected to MOBO with a SATA 6Gb/s connector) I wanted to know what kind of livestreaming I could pull off with the 2400G? Everything has been for the most part untouched by me, only just put together and installed Windows 10 off flashdrive without activation key atm. So aside from the OC on the 1070 I didn't change any settings. 1070 is used but the rest of the parts are new. The games I'd like to stream are LoL and possibly Fortnite, but probably not. Focus is on LoL for my question. Thanks for reading/(responding)!

After building my new PC I've noticed that the FPS and GPU Usage in Rocket League has been very low. I have GTX 980 Ti with a Ryzen 1700 on a b350 plus motherboard, as well as two 8gb ram sticks both at 3200mhz. Other games run fine. PUBG, for example, runs around 100fps at ultra settings. Rocket league on the other hand, barely reaches 100fps with highest settings, while my friend who has a GTX 1060 gets nearly 200fps in Rocket League. Strange thing is that my GPU usage stays at 30-50% while playing Rocket League, unlike in other games where it easily reaches 90-100%. GPU's temperature stays at 50-60C in RL. I've already tried the following: Changed some settings in NVIDIA Control Panel (https://imgur.com/r/RocketLeague/r6YMc) Reinstalled GPU Drivers. Disabled Shadowplay. Messed with Rocket League's in-game settings, tried fullscreen, borderless, vsync on and off, and the lowest settings, which helped only 10-20fps. Changed GPU's PCIe slot. I'm kinda helpless now, don't know what to try next. I've been thinking about getting myself a 120hz monitor, but if I can't even reach the required framerate I might as well buy a second 60hz monitor... Thanks in advance, Aksu255

So I recently switched service to Bell, and because of their fibe internet the router had to be installed downstairs (had to drill new hole for fibe connection). My PC is currently upstairs and I don't have Ethernet wiring running through my house. As I see it my current options were a wireless network card. Since I didn't want to spend a lot of money I went with http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_1048_1049&item_id=047183&language=en. However, the ping when using this card is very random. Of course I wasn't expecting Ethernet level ping and speeds, but when playing league of legends for example my ping reached 1000 ms at one point. This is recurring and the ping fluctuates alot. Does anyone have a suggestion for a better card/adapter. I am willing to spend around 50 CAD. Thanks

So I've been recently trying to figure out what wireless adapter to use for my gaming pc. Sadly I can't use powerline or ethernet since my PC is far from router. Doing some research the best ones I have found are: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_1048_1049&item_id=047184&language=en http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_1048_1049&item_id=096644&language=en http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_1048_1053&item_id=074898 I'm not sure which is better and if I should go USB or PCI, hope someone can help me out. Thank You Guys.

Hello guys, I've been using quite the old setup thus far for playing games and stuff and so I've been wanting to upgrade for some newer games and quicker reactions and I've wanted to know if I can reuse anything I have from my current system. At the moment I own an Acer Aspire M7720 with an Intel i7 920, an Nvidia GTX 260, a Western Digital Caviar GP SATA II 1TB, 6144 MB DDR3 Triple Channel 533.3 MHz and an Acer FX58M (Intel X58 rev 12) Motherboard with a LiteEON 450W PSU running Windows 7 Home Professional. Budget & Location My budget is about 700-800 € and I live in Germany, if necessary and very useful to my cause I'd be willing to pay up to a maximum of 1000€, but staying within the limit would be preferred Aim I will use it mainly for gaming and some easy work tasks, I might render a video every now and then, but my current setup is able to satisfy my needs even so that shouldn't be a problem in that regard. For games I'm looking mostly at relatively easy to run games like League and Overwatch although I would prefer relatively high settings. I'll also play games like the new Dishonored part, modded Skyrim, Titanfall and heavily modded Minecraft every now and then, but running those on like 4K ultra settings or any of those Shenanigans aren't required. I'd also like to start up my PC faster and run a little bit more smoothly so I wanna get an SSD for my OS also (don't think it would give too much of a performance improvements for the games, so keeping the hard drive for the other stuff wouldn't hurt me I'd say. Monitors Currently I'm running a single BenQ M2400HD LCD Monitor, but I'd like to keep myself open for a second possible monitor, more than that should not be necessary for me. Peripherals I already own a good mouse and keyboard (Logitech G700 and Ducky Shine 3), so the only things I'd need would be a Monitor if you'd urge me to get a new one and an operating system if I have to get a new Rig. Why are you upgrading? My main reason for upgrading is my GPU not supporting dx12 therefore not allowing me to play overwatch and after thinking about upgrading my Rig or getting a new one I really started noticing my current PC starting up quite slowly and not running most other games I play other than League and even League on higher settings not as smoothly as I'd like them too, so I decided it's time for probably a new setup as most components will probably not be usable but I'll let you surprise me Further I'd also kinda like to try myself at building a PC instead of just buying one, ah and further in terms of case and so on for me size doesn't really matter as I've got some space and don't really care about portability, although if it was to look very nice, a mini format might be better than standard size to support it on top of my desk instead of underneath ^^ Thanks for the help in advance and if there's anything else you'd need to know I'll be glad to answer. Best regards Moritz

Hello Guys I have been playing League of Legends for 3 Years now and I am on a point in my life now where i start working. I still have some time but League of Legends is just really really Time consuming. So I am looking for new Games that are equally challenging but not the same, no dota no smite more first person survival and buidling oriented. Strategy is also a thing I like. At the Moment i play mostly ARK, Overwatch and rarly Just Cause 3. Games i know but have already played or dont like: Borderlands Call of Juarez, Bioshok Metro MSGV Fallout 3/New Vegas /4 Batllefield 4 Rust , The Divison and Rainbow 6 siege. One PRETTY important point is graphics. I can deal with some repetetiv Gameplay and minor Drawbacks but Graphics just make Games so much better for me. I dont think my system has much Limits, I am running a titan X and 6700k with 16 GB Ram, Thanks for any Help Regards Kajamu

My dad's laptop works fine when browsing, but when he streams all the internet in the house becomes absolute sh*t and ping in league sky rockets to the 10s of thousands. It only happens with this specific laptop and it affects all other laptops and PCs in the house. Its almost magic, I set the laptop beside me, press play on Netflix and the ping instantly rises. close the window and ping back to normal, any other laptop can stream videos and no internet lag any where else. Browsing facebook/web and youtube is fine. Tried throttling bandwidth, quality of service on router. port forwarding for league, port forwarding for the PC's running league, formatting the whole laptop with fresh OS version, changing router. I know no one who sells NICs for the laptop and shipping to the UAE is limited. HELP PLEASE I WANNA PLAY GAMES AND SURF THE WEB IN PEACE
