I've been playing league of legends on linux for a bit, during that my ping is, depending the time of day, is rock solid 30-45. However about once a game, the following happens. Every character on the screen freezes for about 5-10 seconds, the game doesn't even display what my latency is. It feels like every single one of the packets are lost, the is tries to sync back my ping goes down from 300 in 5-10 seconds and repeat for 0,5 ti 3 minutes. It is mildly annoying but manageable. I switched to play league on linux because on windows my ping is around 50-70, and about every 1-5 minutes it jumps up to 100-200. It is barely palyable and very frustrating. It needs to be said that I play on wifi and the router is about 2 x 5 cm concrete wall away from me and for reasons I'm too lazy to write down, I can't do anything to change the situation. With that said there was a point in time where with the same route on a slower internet speed form the same isp I had a solid 50-60 ping on windows. So my question would be, what may be the cause for this behaviour and is there anything I can do (either on windows or linux)? Ps.: I'm on manjaro 21.2.0 Again I can't switch to ethernet, change router position or get a network extender / repeater / mesh device and such.

I followed the steps listed by Linus in his recent youtube video ...got the VM running and the game instaled. when i pull up the device manager it lists 3 display drivers (one of which is my Graphics card) and everything seems fine. But when i try to launch a Practice game in League of Legends the game fails to launch with a System Error "A Critical error has occured and the process must be terminated. " I have updated direct x, uninstalled league and tried installing again still the same error. I have a 35mb memory dump that the error message created, it doesnt make much sense to me. Any other suggestions?

So i was playing league of legends the other day nothing big and i noticed that a part of the map was behaving weirdly ? in the video i zoomed in so you guys can see that the top part is flickering and the bottom is okay and there seems to be a LINE between the two where one is flickering and another isnt ? Is that a gpu thing or just a game bug ? Recently, I picked up the new ASUS ROG Zephyrus G15 equipped with a 5900HS and a 3060 (laptop). While I was playing League of Legends, I seem to be getting strangely low FPS, around 150fps and sometimes in busy fights dipping as low as 100fps. Compared to my gaming desktop (i9 10850k + 1660 Super) that would get at least 250fps most of the time, this surprised me a bit. I know comparing a laptop with a desktop getting seems like an unfair comparison, but League isn't all that hard to run even on high settings and the 5900HS + 3060 (laptop) should be powerful enough to at least pump better performance. Although I have League on max settings, turning down the settings doesn't make much of a difference. I've set my laptop to performance mode and even tried turbo mode, but there is barely any difference. I'm running the game off the 3060 and not the iGPU. I have the latest windows update, latest drivers in MyAsus and Armory Crate, etc. I have nothing intensive running in the background, just Firefox (around 3 tabs), Discord, Spotify, and HWiNFO64 + RTSS for monitoring my usage. I was just wondering if it's normal to have the FPS I'm getting currently in League. If anyone else with a similar configuration could tell me what kind of FPS they're getting on League, that would be great.

I have an ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop with the following specs: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 4800H, GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Ti, 16 GBs of RAM, 144 hertz screen. So to describe the problem, when I set the game's resolution to "Borderless" and I alt+tab, I start getting artifacts, I tried fixing this problem by playing the game of "Fullscreen" but when playing the game on full screen I start getting stutters. I've tried multiple fixes like: reinstalling the game, updating my drivers, stress testing my GPU (the results were normal, no artifacts), etc. Been having this problem for months and wish for a fix ASAP

Hello, I am looking to buy a budget laptop for my sister mainly for her college. She is a medical student that would need Microsoft Office apps (Word/PowerPoint) along with some 3D anatomy stuff. I had to find something portable with a good decent battery life. I found these two options at Amazon of my country: HP 15-dw2081ne (Core™ i5-1035G1 processor, 4GB RAM, 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce MX130 2GB). Huawei MateBook D (AMD Ryzen 5 3500U, 8GB RAM, 256 GB SSD +1TB HDD). Both laptops seem good with FHD displays at 1080p. The HP one is $50 cheaper than Huawei's. Now the factor that would make me choose either of them is League of Legends, as she plays this game only. Which one of these laptops is going to be better on the game with higher settings and more FPS? I searched YouTube and both seem okay, but which of them is absolutely gonna take over the other here or just as overall gonna be a better laptop for all her needs? For now I'm leaning more towards the Huawei MateBook as it has way more storage than the HP (1TB HDD along with the 256GB SSD) and the extra RAM. Thanks in advance.

When I'm playing league, some champions require me to hold an ability to empower it. However, for some unknown reason, it sometimes releases immediately, as if I tapped it, when I clearly hold it. I have no clue what is causing this. This has happened with the W and the E key. I have a mechanical keyboard (redragon k552 with red LEDs I think) which has anti-ghosting so I don't think pressing too many keys is the issue here.

True Damage are a new, virtual hip-hop group created by Riot Games derived from the game League of Legends. The group features artists Duckwrth, Thutmose, Becky G, Keke Palmer, and Soyeon from (G)I-DLE, the last of which also featured in Riot Games' virtual K-pop group K/DA, also playing Akali. As a fan fo K/DA and vibing with POP/STARS, I was very interested in True Damage when they were announced. I honestly had thought True Damage would've been similar to K/DA, but True Damage turned out to be featuring a hip-hop concept as conveyed by the characters' skins. The annoucements of artists like Becky G and Soyeon from (G)I-DLE caught me off guard as I immediately thought "There's no way they could do something similar to POP/STARS with this lineup." Of course, I knew I had to get on the Riot Games train of virtual groups, so today I'll be listening to True Damage's 'GIANTS' and talking about the composition, instrumentals, vocals, as well as parts that I like throughout the song. 0:06 - Such an earthy and heavy bass 'wub' to start things off to give a very urban vibe about this song so far. 0:12 - The same earthy and deep bass is awesome and accompanies the raspy yet contrasting tone of Thutmose, I'm loving his flow in this rap segment. 0:25 - The bass seems to have picked up a notch here as well as Thutmose elevating his tone a bit higher too, I like the hype his rap generates. 0:31 - I absolutely love that autotune, it's used perfectly to give his voice some switchup and body to keep his rap from being too bland and linear. 0:37 - The earthy bass has been swapped for an airy and breathy windy lowend with Becky G's vocals kicking in. It's a nice contrast from the urban and masculine atmosphere from Thutmose's verse to this serene and gracious pre-chorus. 0:49 - The chorus is banging, there's now a breathy and earthy bass instrumental to go with the vocals of Keke Palmer, her naturally mature and powerful vocal tone goes well with the instrumental which is around the same octave range, which creates a nice flow between the initial chorus with Thutmose and his urban and deep tone, and Becky G's sexy and airy tone, and here with the powerful vocals from Keke Palmer. Awesome chorus. 1:05 - Becky G enters back in with the same vibe as Thutmose's verse, the earthy and deep bass returns but this time matched with Becky G's sexy vocals for a nice contrast between Becky G and Thutmose's verses to keep the two verses from being too similar, and to keep the song interesting. 1:17 - Soyeon comes in with a vibe similar to Keke Palmer just now, they two share similar vocal tones but the difference here is that Soyeon has a slightly faster tempo in terms of her rap compared to Becky G who was very modest and calm in her pacing. 1:35 - What I like about this pre-chorus is that there is some slight subvocals in the (they won't) to keep the pre-chorus from being a repeat of the first pre-chorus and to keep the airy and open atmosphere of the song. 1:53 - I like that this second chorus prevents itself from being a copy of the first chorus by continuing on into an extension, this is awesome as I really expected it to go back to the "Sleeping giants, sleeping sleeping giants" but I love that the chorus continued along and kept the vibes going. 2:12 - Huge turn in tempo of the song, it's very low-key and hip-hoppy from Duckwrth, even his vocals/rap is very slow and calm, which is a huge mixup from the previous vibes from the song being very airy, deep, and mysterious. I like this bridge as it keeps the song from being too in-your-face with the bass as well as giving the listener some breathing room to take a break from the heavy and deep bass that has bee prevelant throughout the song. 2:40 - Keke's adlib "OOOOOH" is awesome. No other way around that, that was an awesome transition into the final chorus of the song. One last punchy, deep, bassy chorus to finish the song off after being teased with that lowkey and slow bridge. I really loved this collaboration. Everybody's voices throughout the song were recognisable in their own unique way, such as Becky G's sexy and seductive feminine voice, Soyeon's dominant and powerful voice, and Thutmose's urban and dark tone, they all blend together well in the composition of the song. Especially given how much I was hesitant about how all these artists' chemistry would work, but they all absolutely worked together and I love that. I absolutely love the dark, earthy, and deep bass that goes throughout the song, it really encapsulates the hip-hop and urban vibe that True Damage are going for, it's awesome. I love how dirty and deep the bass is, and I'm not usually one for bass. I think given that I'm using my FiiO FH5 in-ear monitors to play this song is why I enjoy all the low-end that this song offers. Do I like GIANTS more than K/DA's POP/STARS? I wouldn't say yes, but I wouldn't say no either. Both groups are unique in their own right, but GIANTS has a more interesting composition and arguably a more powerful chorus, the bass is so powerful and triumphant, and the transitions between verses, choruses, and especially that amazing bridge makes GIANTS a wonderfully-created song. I still haven't gotten over that extended chorus, it continues on the urban and dark vibe of the song and it's probably my favorite part of the entire song for just how powerful it makes the song sound. Just like K/DA, I would absolutely love more music from True Damage. Please Riot, please, I need more of GIANTS.

Hi, everyone! I've been looking to buy a laptop as a gift for a friend, who recently had hers smashed (long story). I've been looking at 3 particular laptops as replacements for her, on Banggood.com and one of the main things I'm looking for is an ability to run League of Legends well, since she and I are both avid League players! However, since I am somewhat a noob at gauging the potential performance of these laptops, I was wondering if anybody could give me a basic rundown on how each of them will run the game? The three I'm looking at are linked down below https://www.banggood.com/Onda-Xiaoma-31-Intel-N3450-13_3-inch-Quad-Core-1_10GHz-4GB-DDR3-64GB-eMMC-Intel-HD-Graphics-500-Win-10-Home-Laptop-HDMI-Full-Metal-Golden-Luxury-Notebook-500-IPS-Screen-p-1557350.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN https://www.banggood.com/Jumper-EZbook-2-Ultrabook-14_1-Inch-Intel-Cherry-Trail-Z8350-Windows-10-4GB64GB-Quad-Core-Laptop-p-1130419.html?rmmds=search&cur_warehouse=CN https://www.banggood.com/Jumper-EZBOOK-3-PRO-13_3-Inch-Notebook-Windows-10-Intel-Apollo-Lake-N3450-Quad-Core-6GB-RAM-64G-eMMC-128GB-p-1184679.html?rmmds=detail-left-hotproducts__1&ID=6271236&cur_warehouse=CN If anyone could help me out, that'd be greatly appreciated! I have a lot of frame drops whilst playing League of Legends, either it be in lane, team fight or even when elemental dragons spawn. I am a bit confused because League runs at roughly 144fps (because of v-sync) to even as low as 101fps. I may just be sounding like a baby but I am curious as to why this is happening to me. I even turned off v-sync and i still drop frames to 101fps and sometimes even below on max settings. PC Specs: CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x (4.2 ghz) GPU: RTX 2080 Super from GIGABYTE Memory: 16GB of DDR4 3200mhz Corsair ram Cooling: NZXT Kraken x52 AIO MoBo: ROG STRIX X570-F SSD: Samsung 970 pro 512 GB m.2 (This has league of it and my other games) NOTE: I also play games like Rainbow Six Siege on max settings except for Anti-Aliasing which is on T-AA with render scaling on max. Thank You For taking the time to read this Hope you have a good day

So I came across a video on youtube that talked about this new program called "Haste", which it said is supposed to improve the ping of your game in various games (currently supporting League of Legends and Overwatch). So, being an Overwatch player, I took the time to watch the video. My thoughts on it were mixed. It made enough sense to where it could work, but I'm not sure this is another ripoff like WTFast was. The comments on the video were mixed too, but more people experienced better ping than people who actually gained ping. Has anybody heard of it/used it? If so does it really work?

Hey guys, I have an issue in League of Legends, as during teamfights my FPS drops to 40-50 FPS (Not always) which is a crucial part, at the start of the game its up to 200 FPS and laning phase its about 80-100 FPS, other than LoL I play CS:GO and Overwatch, where my FPS seems to be fine, in CS:GO I get about 80-200 FPS on high settings, and I'm not great with computers, but shouldn't the FPS be better on League? I noticed during League of Legends the GPU Load chills at 30%, and CPU usage is around 30-40%, while during CS:GO the GPU Load is about 60-85% and CPU hovers at 80-85% if that helps you with understanding my issue. Also, changing settings in League of Legends does not affect my FPS what so ever, I get same FPS on lowest and highest settings, I even installed a custom map that is super low quality like this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRPVENPlXnsHowever I loaded into a game and my FPS was exactly the same without the map, at 200 when the game starts, whereas the guy on the video improved the FPS a ton, and i'm not willing to use that map, I feel I really dont need it. With my understanding, is the solution to make the CPU / GPU work harder during league of legends? And if so how do I do it? Thanks in advance.Specs:Windows 10 x64Graphics Card: XFX HD 7870 / AMD Radeon HD 7800 SeriesCPU: AMD A8-7650KMotherboard: MSI A68HM GRENADE8 GB Ram

Okay so when playing league on my older gpu i would stay at 200+ fps, that was a gtx 750 ti. Awhile ago i got a gtx 960 evga 4gb and it does not stay over 100 fps in lane phase and drops even below 60 in team fights. My computer specs right now are cpu: FX-6300, gpu: GTX 960 4gb, mobo: MSI 760GM-P34, ram: 16gb gskill ddr3, ssd: 480 adata, hdd; 500gb, psu; 500 watt evga bronze. I know my computer can handle that game at 100 fps consent and i am really looking for help with this. I know it is not my cpu, the temps never reach over 70C and it does not get that high unless its really hot in my house. League is the main game i play but this has affected other games as well like overwacth, and a bunch of other games. In league i know it does not stay at 100% usage when playing( i use evga perversion) and even made a fan profile so when it gets hotter the fans ramp up. If anyone can help me i would be really thankful, I also have no idea if this is the right place to ask this. any feedback is welcome

F2P System (Wargaming, Lol) and little Steam.
ZlDarkAngel6 posted a topic in New Builds and Planning
Hello, I would like to request assistance in order to select the proper components to upgrade my current system. My main target is to make the Best use of my Motherboard since I don`t plan in building a new system and will be using it only to play some F2P games, so, let's get started. 1. Budget & Location As for my location, Mexico; and for my Budget roughly the equivalent to 100 - 150 USD. I will explain more thoroughly in Point 5 why I have such a (maybe) low budget. 2. Aim This system is mainly intended for Gaming, and the kind of games I want to play are specifically World of Warships, World of Tanks and League of legends. Other than that it will have to do light multitasking, that is, having Web browsing tabs/Game/Other light programs. 3. Monitors Dual monitor Set Up. Currently I use my system on a proper 1024x768 PC Monitor and a 1360x768 TV. I don`t mind all that thing about latency/input lag in TV's for PC Gaming and having a proper 1080p monitor, nor I plan on buying one for this system. 4. Peripherals None of that, I'm Ok with my standard Keyboard and mouse, and I run Windows 10 32 Bit. 5. Why are you upgrading? I want to get the very best of this Motherboard since I don´t plan on building my ideal system just yet. I like to think of it as a Scrapyard wars Project, where I have this given PC and I want it to perform the best. Currently I can run League of Legends and World of Tanks roughly at 30 fps in medium/low settings, with no shadows and after processing effects, but for World of Warships it runs barely at 10-15 fps, I have to close everything else in order to play some matches before it inevitably crashes due to a lack of RAM in my system. So, the objective of the components upgrade is to run this games at the very best my Motherboard can offer. I don't really know how far I can go with it, but I would like it to properly run a dual monitor set up for light multitasking, like having my WoWs client open while watching a 1080p YouTube video without having the whole system to slow down. The reason for the Budget is because I can get the 8 Gb max of RAM my Motherboard supports and the CPU for a cheaper Price if I go used, which I`m totally ok with, and spent most of the Budget on upgrading the GPU and maybe the PSU if needed, otherwise I can upgrade only the GPU and RAM, If my current CPU is ok. That`s where I need help, in knowing which of my components are ok and how to get the best of everything (Definitely add more RAM). Finally, I will list the details of my current system (Data obtained via CPU-Z): Motherboard: MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 (MS-7309). Chipset and southbridge: NVIDIA MCP61. LPCIO: Fintek F71889F. Socket: AM3 (938). PCI-Express Max Supported and Link Width: x16. CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250. Core Speed: 3.0 GHz. Cores: Dual. RAM: 3 Gigabytes (2 and 1 Sticks). Type: DDR2. Channels: Dual. PSU: R500 (Edge Systems) Non Modular 500 W. GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS. Clocks Core: 459 MHz. Shaders: 928 MHz. Memory: 266 MHz. Memory Size: 512 Mb. Type DDR2. Bus Width: 64 bits. I was thinking on uploading the report generated by CPU Z or Screenshots, and links to the components page, but I`m not sure if that goes by the rules of the forum. If everything goes well, the motherboard remains the same, CPU may remain if it's ok, 8 Gb of RAM, and GPU/PSU Upgraded if needed. Thank you for taking some of your time helping me and if I missed anything I'll be right here, thanks again.- 19 replies

Hello everyone! I recently found this site and am willing to buy myself an access to try it out. I'm curious if any of you have used it and did the site and it's content help you improve in League of Legends. Oh and does any of you know if I can pay for the access any other way than with a credit card? I don't have one and where I live it is pretty hard to get one. PayPal still asks about credit card...

So, I follow many of LTT videos and love both the insane state-of-the-art-over-the-top-builds and the completely budget ones. The different test also give me so indication of what middle-range PC’s can do, however, despite watching the videos I’m a bit scared of throwing myself into a build. Both because I don’t want to completely overdo the PC but at the same time have difficulty finding out what I need. As the title suggest I mostly play WoW and LoL as a casual gamer to relax in my spare time. I know they are not the most demanding games by any means. I want to play them on high/very high/ultra or whatever the highest settings are to get the best experience of the games. And this is my problem. What kind of system do I need to fit this without going over the top? I currently play the games on my work laptop (Lenovo Ultrabook X1 Carbon) with the following specs: - Intel core i5-6300 CPU @ 2.4 GHz - 8 Gb ram Intel HD graphics 520 1. Budget & Location My budget is 5000 DKK (app. 800 USD) which should cover everything including the case and monitor. Location is Denmark. 2. Aim Play WoW and LoL at maximum settings. 3. Monitors A good one for WoW and LoL ? 4. Peripherals I have mouse and keyboard, but need a monitor and a Windows license. 5. Why are you upgrading? Not upgrading, building new from scratch to substitute my laptop. Any help is very much appreciated!

I think I literally watched trick2g take off in the stream world. From season 3. I know he started earlier than that, and the video that kind of blow off on the internet (reddit) is one nunu jungle video. I've watched him 1vs2 top lane, vs ashe and zyra. And beat the shit out of the duo. I've watched him playing other games like unturned. And got stomped by one of his fan. I've seen he hosted so many subwars and get kind of burn out by it. I've seen he struggled with booze and coca cola. Also in later season he kind of avoided league because of burnt out and not really happy with the direction league is going., I've seen him duo with sirchz and just dominated the diamond tier. I'm pretty sure riot added laser beam AFTER trick and sirchz just tower dive/split push like crazy. He is definitely the streamer I look up to. And his stream helped me went through a super difficult period of time. What's your favorite league streamer? Or favorite streamer in general?

I'm planning to build a new computer for streaming League of Legends. I budget is 1000$ CAD (including tax) without monitors, keyboard, mouse & speakers. My current build thought is: CPU: Ryzen 5 1400 - 205$ MOBO: Gigabyte Gaming 3 ATX - 138$ Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black (2x4gb) - 95$ HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB - 60$ SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 128GB - 160$ GPU: Radeon RX 560 - 176$ PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 550W - 100$ TOTAL: 934$ + 121.42$ TAX = 1055.42$ Are there any different components I should choose over my current choices? Maybe something that can bring the price down a little without losing too much performance?
