I'm really confused on whether or not the Kraken G12 will fit the Rx 570. Nzxt's site says the 470 and 480 but do these include the 570 and 580 because there isn't much change and primarily just a refresh. I'd like to try AIO water cooling and thought this would be the best place to start because my R5 1500x at 3.8 gHz only gets up to a healthy 60c. Any help? It's also the sapphire nitro+ 8gb if that matters

Just bought a NZXT G12 To chuck on my G1 Gaming 980ti I've got a brand new CM Masterliquid 240 i'd like to put on it. But i've got no idea if the 2 are compatible. I've also got a Kraken X61 I know will fit on the G12, but, that is currently cooling my cpu. I'm hoping the CM will be compatible. Hopefully someone can clear this up for me. Cheers.

Many weeks ago now I started using a 1440p monitor, around that time I started keeping track of my gpu's temps, and while gaming they're getting high af. I'm using an MSI 1070 Gaming X, a non-reference card. Using Overwatch as an example, I play it at highest settings i can go and still get 60fps, I have the gpu tem monitor on in top corner and if I'm at the menu or on selection screen it goes to 65-70c, and when in game it fluctuates from 78c-84c at hottest. That's pretty damn hot and really concerning considering I'm not using an Nvidia stock cooler. I've only been playing OW, somewhat cause I'm kind of concerned about how hot it could go in more demanding games I have. I don't have any gpu overclocks going on that I know of (I don't even know how to OC gpu). I don't really want to do a custom loop for this since that's expensive as balls, however I'm considering using a Kraken G12 and an AiO 140mm cooler, was wanting feedback though about that, if anyone else has experiences with those, and how big a difference using a AiO for a gpu can make compared to a normal cooler. Also will a Kraken G12 be able to fit my gpu? The gpu I'm using isn't a reference card, MSI having their own card design. Also would I still be able to use the backplate from my gpu?

Hello everyone. I'm not good at English, so first of all sorry for that. I'm gonna use a Kraken G12 and an AIO cooler on my GPU. I want to use the radiator on push/pull. In this case there are 4 connectors: -1x Radiator -1x 92mm fan -2x 120mm fan Also I want my gpu to control radiator fans depending its heat. So I decided to buy a Gelid pwm cable and a Silverstone fan hub. The question is, if I connect Gelid cable to my GPU and Silverstone hub to Gelid cable, can I use radiator fans, radiator and vrm fan efficiently? Someone said that the radiator needs to run at %100 so I should connect it directly to the motherboard. Thanks in advance.

Hey Guys, i´m gonna upgrade my PC soon and there is not everything clear yet. I want to stay with my Kraken G12 cooling solution, and i know that some RTX Cards are Compatible with the G12, using the AMD Bracket. The point it that i couldn´t find any details on which 2080 would be compatible, there are only informations available, that some cards will work. Does anybody know more? Can you guys recommend a specific card? Btw: I am currently using a G12 with Kraken x52 aswell as a noctua 92mm fan for the vrams etc, my gtx1080 stayed in the low 50s under high load overclocked by 350MHz. Thanks in advance! Niels

Anyone know if the Kraken G12 will work with the 5700xt? Pretty sure it's a reference PCB model, it's the XFX RAW II RX 5700 XT. I've seen posts saying it will or people "think" it will but I would like to know if anyone has tried it. I don't have the card yet and am just looking at options for a build I'm planning on reselling and want to get a decent GPU in the system, I have heard the 5700XT runs hot so if I can might as well liquid cool it if I go that route.

Guys, Having too much time on hand and trying to push things with my PC, I thought I would use a Kraken G12 with a Corsair H80i on my Zotac Twin fan 2080 Super. The thing ended up failing on load test, so I went back to the original heatsink, thinking the VRMs might be the issue (Not enough cooling?). However the stock heatsink showed the same issue - desktop is fine, but any time a load is placed - like a game - a small electric hiss comes from the case and the display goes black. The GPU fans start whirring at max. Only a hard switch off helps. I though I needed more thermal paste, so did that. I also thought new thermal pads should do the trick, and they're in the mail. However, when I was still digging around for an answer, noticed that my idle power consumption was 65W! I reinstalled my graphics driver and it went down to 25W, which is still extremely high compared to when new. My CPU alsp for some reason seems to run much hotter than usual on idle at 40degrees C(9900k, H115i Platinum), with an idle power draw of 33W!! Tried reinstalling motherboard BIOS, and clearing CMOS, no change Does anyone have an idea what went wrong here?

Will the Kraken g12 mount on a zotac 1070 ti mini? It isn't reference and I am unsure if the screws would be in the same place. If not, is there some kind of GPU aio alternative to a complete custom watercooling loop? Thanks

A week has passed since i got my Kraken G12 and my ThermalTake Water 3 120mm AIO, which i installed it on my Gigabyte 2080 Super My GPU temps dropped to 28 deg celsius on idle and 60 deg on load (playing Division 2 1440p ultra settings) Compared to stock cooling (where i would hit 80 degrees during load), this was great!!! One thing to note is that I have not overclocked the card whatsoever, everything is at stock. However, I noticed that the card itself was very (very very) hot. I realized that the VRAM modules, which are around the gpu, are not cooled at all. Yes there is active cooling from the fan that comes with the Kraken G12, but it only blows cool air to the VRMs, chokes, and other tiny components on the far right of the card (the side where the 8pin and 6pin power connectors are). Although I haven't noticed any issues with the memory clock, gpu core clock or other performance for that matter, it felt very unsafe to have them that hot! I can't tell how hot the card was but touching the backplate was impossible...!! I just wanted to share this experience for those who want jerry rig their 2080 (particularly the 2080 Super from Gigabyte) with the Kraken G12 and AIO. I haven't tested it, but I'm sure having those tiny heatsinks on the vram modules, and maybe on the VRMs, would help. Also, maybe, because this gpu produces so much heat, a 240 or 280mm aio would be better! I eventually went back to the stock cooling, put on some new NT-H2 thermal paste by Noctua, left the case open, and dealt with the noise (although I wear a headset while playing lol). If anyone have any questions regarding this build, I'll be glad to answer! I'm looking forward to the Raijintek Morpheus 8057 Cheers guys

Hey Guys, I posted earlier about this but I think I put it in the wrong section. In short I’m having trouble with thermal pads and heatsinks on a 1080ti Armor OC with a kraken g12 and Corsair H55 watercoolong setup. The heatsinks are falling off of the thermal pads and I wanted to see if it was something I was doing or if it was a bad batch of thermal pads. Right now it’s crashing benchmarks and I’m suspecting that the VRMs are overheating. Thoughts?

Hey everyone! Planning on slapping the NZXT kraken g12 and the H55 with aftermarket fans (either noctua nf-12p pull and corsair SP push or two corsair SP). If you have a similar setup, can you share your experience? If not, does anyone know of a review or something similar that shows the performance of a hybrid 980ti??

6700k @4.7 1.36v 16gb crucial Ballistix 3000mhz asus z170ar gigabyte 980ti Corsair rm650 tldr i was using the card, cleaning up old programs, etc. after a reboot, i went to msi afterburner, turned on a MILD oc, ran kombustor to check temps and now it won't turn on. did I fry it?? It was running fine up until then. using arctic silver 5 (which i believe is not conducive), the pump isnt too tight. it does run on its igpu so i know my other components are fine. any suggestions???

I have a Kraken x61 hooked up to my R9 280X using a Kraken G12, and the thing just isn't cooling. I followed the instructions all the way through (Even though the Kraken cooler doesn't fit particularly well with the bracket, ironically), including using a copper shim on R9 280X cards (I have a 1mm unit on). I have liquid metal between the GPU die and shim, and between the shim and cooler (As I had on the air cooler before this). I used to have it overclocked to 1175MHz/1500MHz with +38mV on the air, and it handled that just fine (Never went above 70 degrees on Unigine's Heaven Benchmark). Now if I boot the benchmark the GPU will hit 90 degrees within two seconds of starting. I've tried taking the shim out (Put it back in after it made no difference), I've tried reseating everything, I've lowered the overclock down, I've tried reapplying the liquid metal... Nothing seems to work. Always, it instantly heats up to 90 degrees when loaded, and falls back down extremely quickly after (Within seconds of quitting the benchmark, it'll be at 50 degrees; If I wait about ten seconds after than, it'll fall back down to the low 40s). I'm hoping has some sort of "eureka" idea, because it's incredibly frustrated having my GPU be basically worthless right now.

Making this post for 2 reasons, to help others and to solve a weird issue. First, I got sick and tired of the heat and noise the Asus R9 290x Directcu II was putting out. What Asus was smoking with slapping that cooler on was beyond me. The card isn't officially supported by Nzxt as it is a non reference pcb. But it works just fine. You have to remove 1 part of the backplate (it's a small 1 inch wide portion of the backplate that hangs down the side) and don't use the washers supplied by nzxt or the screws won't reach. I used a corsair h55 water cooler with it. Temperatures went from 88c at 80% fan speed to 67c at 30% fan speed. It's amazing. The problem The card kept crashing to a black screen, even at idle. After much troubleshooting I noticed that on hwmonitor64 I was getting a shit ton of gpu memory errors (talking thousands). This told me that the card was suddenly not getting enough power (at stock, no OC). I raised the core voltage by 15mv and sure enough it is rock solid stable for the last 6 hours. Now it's not really a problem, as it's working great with a slight bump in power, but it's my ocd that's keeping my head scratching. Without the shitty dcii cooler, I had to give it an extra bump in voltage. Any ideas? Or should I just ignore it and hope my ocd doesn't get the best of me lol. The pump and fan are plugged into my mobo, and pump is working fine. Vrm temps and gpu temps are low (each around mid to high 60s) at load Specs Fx 6300 at 4.6mhz 1.4125 v Gigabyte 970 UD3P Rev. 2 Asus R9 290x direct cu ii 4gb Corsair hx750 power supply

Hello everyone, A couple of days ago, I installed a Kraken x52 + Kraken g12 into my Rog Strix GTX 1080 A8G. Before this, my temps weren't that bad, under full load, about 70-71°C (158°F) but the fans were almost at 90% and man, that was pretty loud, so that's why I decided to install the AIO. Once installed, the temps went down to 51-54°C (124°F) and barely can hear the fans on my PC. The problem here is that I started to notice that the GPU could not be Overclocked anymore, prior installing the AIO, I was able to get into the 2100's Mhz on the Core Clock and now I can barely hit the 1900's Mhz. Also happened with my OC in the CPU, which is a Ryzen 5 1600, prior installing the AIO, I was able to get to 3.85 Ghz and now I'm only able to get up to 3.5 Ghz. The temps on both are really low, like I mentioned before, under load, the GPU stays in the 51-54°C and the CPU stays in the 54-56°C. NOTE: As my CPU cooler, I haver another AIO, which is the CoolerMaster Master Liquid Lite 120 I'm not sure if it has to do on how I connect the Kraken x52 cables, but here's how I did it. Pump into Fan header and set to MAX RPM Kraken G12 fan into Kraken x52 fan cable + 2 fans from the Rad Micro USB from Kraken x52 into USB 2.0 port in the motherboard On top of that, my PC randomly crashes, even with the lightest OC and just by being idle. I already set everything to default and ran Prime95 for CPU stress and Heaven benchmark for GPU stress and it seems that the crashes stopped, but I can't figure out why I'm no longer able to OC. Here are my specs before and after the installation of the second AIO. Before OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bits Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299 Case: Phantek Eclipse P400S Tempered glass 2 top fans (the ones that came with the case) 2 front fans: InWin Polaris RGB 1 back fan: Rad + fan of the MasterLiquid Lite 120 Motherboard: Rog Strix B350-F Gaming - Latest BIOS from Asus support page (v.3401) CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 CPU AIO Cooler: Master Liquid Lite 120 RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 2x 8GB 3000 MHz GPU: Rog Strix GTX 1080 A8G - stock fans PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750W P2 SSD: Samsung 850 EVO - 250GB HDD: Western Digital 1TB Other: Led strip that came with Phantek case After Case: Phantek Eclipse P400S Tempered glass 2 top fans (the ones that came with the case) 4 front fans: InWin Polaris RGB + Kraken x52 fans (I got a push/pull config, the SP fans are pushing and the InWin Polaris pulling, I left those just for the aesthetics) 1 back fan: Rad + fan of the MasterLiquid Lite 120 GPU AIO Cooler: Kraken x52 + Kraken g12 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How would you put these components together? NZXT H700i - Asus ROG 1080 ti - Kraken x62 - Kraken G12 - Kraken x42. This is how its been put together atm. Kraken x62 on the i7 8700k, the radiator is in the front - blowing air into pc chassis. G12+X42 on 1080ti, the radiator is in the top - blowing air into pc chassis. 140mm NZXT standard fan in the back on this H700i - blowing air out of pc chassis. I dont know if this is a good way, the CPU temp is around 40 and GPU temp is around 65-70 when im playing WoW. But i do get annoyed after some time, because its kinda loud. Should i set this up another way ?
