Hello, my Last upgrade was to a 7 13700k. Not doing oc. Pc idling most of the time. When I do use it is for games like ready or not, civ, csgo, diablo. Currebtly have a deep cool ls720 but my pump is failing so now im thinking. Deepcool ak620 or thermaltake C360 kit. I wont go for a AiO anymore. I live in argentina and prices are somewhat skechy so the 620 is half of the price of the kit. Is the air cooler going to be enough? I work on that pc and silence or low noise is important for me. Any suggestions?

Schools have changed a lot since 1996. But Intel has stayed inside the curriculum. Can they be trusted to teach kids about electronics engineering and computers, or are they feeding them product placement?

Im looking for a Water cooling Kit that has eveything that good. Dose anyone know of any kits out there that are good to buy?

So I never made a custom loop (although I am good at house plumping and generally tech savvy and a handyman in case you are concerned about my abilities to use different parts instead of a kit etc) and I dont know anything about brands and product comparison in terms of performance. I would like to cool a 3090ti and a 5950x which will OCed but I do not want to sell my kidneys and buy a EK kit On the other hand I dont want to buy a low performing cheap kit/parts only have a look for visuals... So what is the sweetspot? (I would like suggestions for everything needed e.g plugs fittings maybe filters (?) I dont want to buy a bunch of stuff you suggested to me only to find out that I need some small thing that I didnt buy and have to wait a week to get it ) My case is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro 2, It can hold 5 radiators (1 front 1 small on the back 1 on the side, 1 on the top and 1 on the bottom ) My aim is not to fill all the possible places with radiators (unless you deem its needed to keep things cool ) I would like to use the minimum amount of radiators while still being able to hit and sustain high clocks on my 5950x and 3090 ti (my guess is that I need two or three max but I will take your advice) When suggesting pump (or pumps? ) I would like something that will last and dont make tons of noise but also be strong enough. For the CPU block I would like one that also has a fan on top of it if possible/existing, I will look for a GPU block my self but I am open to hear brand suggestions

Has anyone had a lot of experience with CNC machines? Are there any recommendations? Price over performance and other questions like that. Just thinking about doing some CNC projects and want to make sure I start off on the right foot. Thanks for all input. EDIT: Realized as I was on some other forums, that I should include price. I am thinking $500 give or take. But I am all up for creativity.

Intel's next generation enthusiast platform X299 is about to launch and to prepare for it, Noctua is giving out free upgrade mounting kits for those who have one of their coolers, but don't have the right kit for the new cpu. To get the free kit, just sent them a copy of your invoice and you'll soon get the kit in your mail. Most of the new cooler already comes with the new kit, since the mounting are exactly the same as socket 2011-3. It's for those who have older cooler, that might need to order it. There are some cooler, where it's not eligible for the free offer, and will have to purchase it. Source: http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/8160/calyos-nsg-s0-100-silent-fanless-gaming-pc-review/index.html I haven't seen a review of this anywhere else, I assume Linus is working on something. For those wondering this seems to be a new design from the one that Linus reviewed, the footprint looks to have been reduced and the PSU mount integrated into the case. For now here's a quick summary of the TweakTown review: n.b. The config tested is slightly out of date compared to the Kickstarter Specs as tested: i7 6700K (stock) MSI Z170X SLI Plus motherboard GTX 1080 (stock) 16GB (2x8GB) 3000MHz TridentZ (stock 2133MHz) 250GB Samsung 850 EVO No mention of PSU Performance: Performs like you'd expect a 6700K and a 1080 system to perform. No throttling even under Intel Burn Test and Furmark combined load. Thermals (What matters): Oddities: Thoughts: Looks promising. This is apparently a Kickstarter product kit; it can be bought either configured or just as a chassis. The render looks pretty slick compared to the very prototype-y unit reviewed. Euro 479 Super Early Bird - Case only Euro 1799 for the cheapest config with i3-7100 and GTX 1060

Hi, I bought a used PC and a h100i came with it. I decided to sell the h100i with a AMD CPU/Mobo combo. Problem is i just saw in the box that the last owner lost the littles "hooks" for the AM3+ socket. I'm from Canada and seems like i can't find any place to buy those little hooks This is the link from corsair about those "hooks" i have the bracket i just miss the hooks. http://www.corsair.com/en/hydro-series-h80i-h100i-amd-mounting-bracket-kit What should i do? Thank you all for suggestions/ideas!

I am buying new RAM since my last kit was defective. My original kit was a 2x4GB, but Kingston agreed that they would send me a 1x8GB kit to replace my defective. Would it be better to buy another stick of the 1x8GB RAM from Kingston, or sell the replacement and buy this Corsair kit because of its OC ability (XMP profile) and higher MHz. I do have a 4690K and a Z97-A motherboard, if that changes anything.

https://pcpartpicker.com/user/KillSwitch87/saved/xWyJxr The parts are already bought and awaiting assembly, just as soon as I decide on a CPU cooler. I'm currently using a Corsair H-something (forgot but it's a small one fan unit) on my PC but need/want a new cooler for the new one. I've never had an issue with Corsair and they have an amazing warranty but heard they changed the pump design (due to some legalities)to a more failure prone one so I was wondering if there are any better, as in more reliable options I could choose from? It doesn't have to be 'worth it' I just like the look of liquid coolers and dislike air coolers but I do want good quality and reliability (as in don't flood or fry my system, I work from it and can't have it down for even days not to mention weeks) Any suggestions welcome, experiences, advice welcome. TIA P.S.: custom loops look amazing but I'm a slob and would mess it up so that's out

I'm I the process of building a new "in-desk" pc with a glass top. I'm currently using an old H100i, but it is dying (getting 40+ idle temps). I want to do my first "custom" loop. I will be cooling the cpu (4770k), and eventually the gpu once I upgrade it (after the launch of volta). The new aluminum loop kit is SUBSTANTIAL savings over the copper variants, but I know with that savings I'll be sacrificing things as well. I've heard... mixed things about the pumps included in both copper and aluminum kits, but once you start going custom custom the price point jumps considerably again. I don't need any fans, however, I have plenty of noctua ones I plan to use and am going to pick up some LED ones as well for a push-pull setup. These are my potential setups. You could possibly skip this part if you already know your opinion. A240: 280mm radiator for intake, included 240mm radiator for outtake. 280mm aluminum radiator options are a little... shady, but I have options like this and this. Also, this one by thermaltake is more expensive, but is also made of aluminum if the others are bad. Price: Kit ($160) + Radiator ($35-$70) = $195-$230 Pros: Kit = easy, entire price of ~200$ (wow!) Cons: Cheap tubing, pump (?), all future upgrades must be aluminum, don't need the fans L360: Included 360mm radiator for intake, 280mm radiator for outtake. Price: Kit ($260) + 280mm radiator ($76) = $336 Pros: Kit = easy, 120mm more radiator surface area than the A240, better tubing, copper upgrades Cons: Pump (?), >100$ more expensive than the A240, don't need the fans Custom: This $123 or this $100 480mm radiator as intake. Does the 60mm vs 38mm thickness make much of a difference at this size? Then 280mm radiator ($76) as outtake. $164 for a D5 pump, and $125 for a cpu waterblock. And I STILL have to worry about tubing, fittings, etc. Price: AT LEAST $465 Pros: Custom, awesome, great pump, 120mm more radiator surface area than the L360, 240mm more radiator surface area than the A240 Cons: PRICE Just looking for peoples opinions. Price is definitely a factor at the moment, and I'm really just wondering if I can get away with an A240. If not, going with an L360 and upgrading the pump later is always an option as well.

Hello everyone. I have a question that I would like someone with a lot more knowledge than me to help me with. I'm about to purchase a new rig and I want to get 32GB of RAM, 2 sticks of 16GB each to run in dual channel. My question is do I Really need to buy a kit (so 2x16GB) to run in dual channel or can I just order 2 separate sticks of 16GB of the same model? I ask this question because getting the 2 separate sticks (16GB each) is literally the equivalent of 60$ less than getting the kit. As far I know from an old friend the kit guarantees to work in dual channel and at the frequencies the manufactures says, but getting individual sticks and putting them together is not, so they might work or might not work. Is that really true? Do I really need to spend 60$ more just to be sure that dual channel and the advertised frequencies work? Thanks in advance.

Hi I was looking at this kit as the starter for my first water cooling build. Does this seem reasonable for cooling a 9700k overclocked and 1080ti, as far as pump, etc goes? I will probably end up adding another rad in series if it's not enough. Obviously will also need a GPU block, fittings, etc. Side question, kit mentions 1150 socket compatibility; I'm pretty sure 1151 mounts are identical, as far as I read, but would like someone else to confirm this before I buy. Thanks! https://www.outletpc.com/kv9988raystorm-d5-photon-intel-cooler.html

If the iFixit kit is too expensive for your blood, don’t worry – AliExpress has got you covered. But can it hold its own against the reliable workhorse? I bought "fps AURUM PT 1200W" from a guy that told me all the cables are there. Needless to say (because I'm here) that that's not true. I need 1×8pin for the cpu, 2×8pin for the gpu. I can only find extension kits and not male to male cables. can someone helps? They don't need to be braided, and, if possible, not above 50$, just long enough for ATX mid tower. and if someone can explain the difference between eps, pcie power cables that would be awesome.

Hey guys so not long ago I posted the Purple Power Battlestation in the main builds thread which is now the Rainbow Rig due to upgrading to an AIO that is forced to use a controller instead of my MOBO RGB Header due to the Enermax Liqtech III AIO needing a 3-Pin 5v header and my B450M having a 4Pin 12V header. Well good news on the Purple Powerstation, it will be back to its Purple beauty towards the end of this week. I'm doing a Motherboard upgrade from the B450M to the ASUS ROG Strix X470-F which supports 3-Pin 5V, and instead of using the stock Enermax Fans my computer guy will be building me a custom lighting kit using Deepcool Fans and Strips. I will post pictures of his customer kit as time goes on and the build is finished. My friend will is also hoping to replace the only other major lighting kit with a cheaper and honestly better kit using this new Deepcool kit so as things go I will definitely be showing all of it off in on this post. He is trying to make a better Kit than the Corsair kit for people who want ARGB on a budget. https://www.google.com/search?q=ASUS+B450+M+VS+ASUS+ROG+STRIX+X470-F&pcmp=f This is how the kit build will be once it arrives: We're going to be doing 6 fans 3 Rad Fans, 1 exhaust and I believe 2 on the top. the Deep Cool Strips are going to go up along the bottom closest to the tempered glass and up beside the Rad https://www.amazon.com/DEEPCOOL-CF120-3in1-Customizable-Addressable/dp/B07D3K4XG1/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=deepcool+5v&qid=1579012684&sr=8-1 https://www.amazon.com/DEEPCOOL-RGB-200PRO-Addressable-Synchronized/dp/B07DDBJFNM/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=deepcool+5v+strip&qid=1579012773&sr=8-1

Hello everyone, currently i thought about an upgrade from my amd fx 6300 at 4,3ghz to a new ryzen 2700x. My current water cooling is a lepa EXllusion 240(AM3+) with some silent fans from be quiet. On the website they dont say that it fits on am4, so can I just use any upgrade kit from am3 to am4 or do i need to get a brand new water cooling system? Here the link to the website (scroll down a bit). Thank you for your help.

HyperX specs: (same SK Hynix C-die?) *DDR4-2666MHz CL16-18-18-39 @1.2V DDR4-2666MHz CL15-17-17-36? @1.35V (2nd profile for 3000MHz kit) DDR4-3000MHz CL15-17-17-36 @1.35V DDR4-3200MHz CL16-18-18-36 @1.35V Same OC results on both 3000MHz kit and 3200MHz kit I found on Russian review site... This makes me wonder about how likely is it that also the 2666MHz kit is using same c-die as the 3000 and 3200 ones? Russian OC result: DDR4-3333MHz CL16-18-18-36 @1.35V
