This is just a mind-blowing project this guy is doing, check it out: github.com/riskable/void_switch. I just think if y'all could leave a star at his repositories, maybe it'll revive his interest in continuing the project If I understand correctly, here are some things about this keyboard: The keys' functionality is given by magnetic attraction/repulsion, so you can: vary the tactility by increasing the width of plastic between two magnets, and you can also change the travel by increasing the length of the stem. the PCB uses hall effect sensors to detect key presses, so your keyboard is analog and you can change the distance at which a key triggers. This also has the benefit of allowing you to simply pull off all your keys from your keyboard and wash it, dry it, put it back, it can not get any simpler (check the gif in the project readme at the bottom). If a key breaks or gets oily or whatever, print another one for pennies. If you have the soldering skills, you could also repair the PCB but this one probably applies to all keyboards. Have diplomatic flags on your keyboard so you can park it anywhere, lol. You can also have an oreo dispenser or a mouse bungee. You could probably change the keyboard layout to whatever you like. There's probably a lot more I'm forgetting, oh yes one thing, you can apparently hook up relays to make it more clicky!! here are some videos about the keyboard. Could someone tell me how to get LTT to make a video about this?

Hi Linus friends sorry if I am doing this wrong, this is my first time on the forum just to ask for help. Without blasting all of my friend, Isaac's, business here is what you need to know: he's in his early 40's and is going through his second recurrence of brain cancer. The tumor is on his motor strip which has paralyzed his right side almost completely unusable and now has to relearn to live with only his left hand while still working full time to pay for his treatments. There is some good news in that I guess his cancer is a mutation so it's more susceptible to chemo which changed his prognosis from a terminal sentence to being hopeful that he'll be able to pull through again. However the doctor said he probably won't ever get his right side back and if he does it will be very limited but we can only find out after his treatment. So I've been trying to find stuff to help him to game again since he isn't left to do much else. Right now his limited to games that only need the basic point and click with mice. I bought him Frostpunk and This War of Mine but besides those all he's been able to play is Sid Civ 6 and Among Us. Sorry for the long intro but wanted you to know what I'm working with here. Right now he's been using a logitech G300s but I was hunting though some old Linus vids and showed him the Keymouse from the vid "This KEYBOARD has a BUILT IN MOUSE" which he seemed interested in but he was concerned that it might still require the right half to function properly and the $500 price tag. We live in the USA btw. So I was going to try and convince a couple friends to all pitch in and buy it but got stopped by the fact its sold out and $500 split five ways is a lot for something that might not work. So I was looking at stuff like the Razer Nastromo, Razer Orbweaver, Razer Tartarus and Delux T9 but none of them have built in mice and the ones that have the joysticks that would enable him to play other genres of games again still require a mouse in the right hand. So we managed to find this "Gaming Mouse with 5 D Rocker, TRELC Ergonomic Mouse with 10000 DPI/11 Programmable Buttons, RGB Vertical Gaming Mice Wired for PC/Laptop/E-Sports/Gamer" on Amazon which meets the joystick and the mouse, it only has 4 buttons including the standard left and right click and it's only right handed. So where my research is coming up not very helpful I'm hoping the Linus family can help my friend out. Does anyone know of anything that might help him play some of his old games again? Thanks for any help.

As the title says I have a very strange issue with me keyboard. The "O" key doesnt register if i am holding down my left shift key. Everything works as normal if I use my right shift key instead or the capslock. No other key on my keyboard acts in this way. Using a keyboard tester site I can see that there is no output at all from the "O" key when holding the left shift key. Do I need to replace the keyboard? Notes: Drivers are up to date Windows 10 is up to date

Hi, a few days ago my keyboard stopped working for windows apps. For example I can't type in the search bar nor in the search bar in file explorer. It works perfectly fine outside of the windows apps, for example right now I'm using it. It also works fine when I have to log in. I already tried resetting the OS, doing a fresh install, running the sfc scannow and a few other that I can't remember right now. It's not very important, just really unpractical and annoying.

I've just got a new ROG Claymore 2 keyboard with a hungarian layout Which has 2 extra keys compared to a basic US layout. One in the place Where the right side of L-shift would be, and the other replaces the left side of Enter. Neither of the mentioned keys work, and only one lights up with rgb. Anyone had the same issue and/or knows a solution?

So I use a ps/2 keyboard from long ago (dell sk-8100). I like it, it feels nice and clicky. but the switches are fairly cheap and basic, so I want something a little more tactile and responsive for gaming. However I do not want to spend the full price on an expensive keyboard with a bunch of expensive switches when I already have a keyboard that I am fine with for most of my work. I am considering getting a one handed gaming keyboard so I can have the premium switches for gaming without having to purchase an entire keyboard. So my question is: can windows run a usb keyboard(the one handed keyboard) and a ps/2 keyboard(the dell keyboard) at the same time, or will there be compatibility issues? And please dont shame me for using a ps/2 keyboard, I could go to reddit if I wanted that. Thanks in advance. :)

Hello o/ this is my first post and I hope this is the right place to ask. I own a Roccat Ryos MK Glow and would like to trigger macros/the secondary function without having to *hold down* the Easy-Shift-key. The driver-software doesn't seem to support that functionality so I hope someone here has an idea what file I could edit to change that.

HOW DO I FIX IT T_T is there a good alternative for armoury crate??

I have a problem - the play/pause and next/previous track buttons on my keyboard (Roccat ISKU FX) are not working with my ACER Nitro 5 running Windows 11. The problem is not with the keyboard as it works flawlessly both on my PC and on a few different laptops I've tested it on. Corresponding keys work on the laptop keyboard but also not in the way I expect it to - it does pause and skip tracks but it doesn't show the windows media controls pop-up (pic below). All other buttons on the keyboard work without issues. Does anyone have an idea how to fix it?

keyboard I am looking for a Keyboard. Can I have some help?
Madmax_Hart posted a topic in Peripherals
Hi everyone, I am looking for a Logitech Keyboard like the one bellow. I want everything to be the same. I just want full size keys. Not half height. I want it to be Logitech so try and keep everything in the same ecosystem. Since I have a G903 Lightspeed Mouse and Logitech just updated the G-Hub software so mice and keyboards can be on the same receiver. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Wireless-Mechanical-Keyboard-Tactile/dp/B07NY9ZRZG?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1 If a Logitech Keyboard can't be found that's exactly like that one there here are what I would like in the Keyboard: I would like to price to be under $100 (I understand that might not be possible given my requests). So between $300 and $100 (just over $300 is ok if it has most of my features) Must Have Wireless with Internal Battery (I don't want to have to deal with AA or AAA batteries) Logitech Keyboard (Negotiable if it has everything from must have and some from nice to have) Removable Key Caps (i want to be able to clean the keys since they get dirty) Nice to have Individual RGB (being able to program each RGB individually (nice feature but not required)) Full Size (with num pad) Wrist rest (detachable if possible since it would be easier to clean) Doesn't really matter Switch type (I just want to try and avoid excessively noisy keys (if possible)) If we can't find one let me know and I'll try and slim down that I want if needed. Thank you all for your help in advance. -
I bought a G513 carbon, with roamer G switches, about 2 years ago, and man it has not been a pleasant experience. :c and I don't want to throw away money for something that will fall apart as you use it. I'm looking for mechanical non-linear keyboard for cheap, around 150$, per key rgb would be nice, anything that isn't cherry mx or roamer G.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this.. I downloaded the software for my Redragon K630W-RGB from their website and I think I deleted/messed up some of the files.. and now my keyboard is detected but is not responsive and does not lit up either any idea on what I should do? I'm completely clueless lol

I bought a Logitech G910 keyboard a couple years ago because of the number of extra programmable macro keys it had but am increasingly finding the keyswitch resistance to be insufficient for me (I can only type with one hand and don't have 100% fine motor control). This results in too-frequent double key presses and accidentally actuated keys. I've since bought a Stream Deck so the number of extra macro keys can be reduced but still need at least five. My requirements: Full size, 104 keys Media control keys (a roller to control volume would be nice) Backlit (functionality equivalent to Logitech's Echo Press would be nice) Five extra macro keys on left side Any recommendations? Can be mechanical or otherwise. Can be wired or wireless. The resistance of my Alienware m15 R7 laptop's keyboard is pretty comfortable. I'm looking at the EVGA Z12 RGB, Corsair K55 PRO (Lite or XT), Budget is under $200 CDN.

Hi all, I am looking to upgrade my current gaming keyboard which is a Logitech G213 membrane "mechanical feel" keyboard. I want to go mechanical, but I have no experience with mechanical keyboards so I do not know where to start. For workload this will be for casual gaming, and for a lot of web browsing and typing. I need a number pad still that is a must. Wired or wireless is fine no preference there. Backlit keys are also a must. The ability to be able to fix the keyboard like swappable keys would also be nice. The budget is $150 or around there but definitely nothing over $200.

Hello, I use external keyboard with laptops. Two keys 'c' and '3' print weird things. When I press 'c' it prints: vc fgrtxz //or cfv<Enter> And '3' prints: 536l4jk1-=` The keyboard was not somehow damaged. I have tried to use it with different laptops with MacOS, Linux, Windows and event with Samsung S8. The same problem for all the devices. Also i have tried to remap keys with SharpKeys and KeyTweak, no result. Both keys print above text. On the screenshot you can find what happens when I press those keys. White means which keys are also pressed with 'c' or '3'. And the order in the top. Does anyone know how to fix it?

Hello, I have a question about macro keyboards. Recently I bought a Numpad and I wanted to make an only macro keyboard out of it. Firstly I used the HIDmacros app. This app was good, it recognizes my Numpad as another device with separate input but it was kind of hard to use. Then I found the Hot Keyboard app which I think is a way easier to use. The only problem with Hot Keyboard is that my Numpad behaves the same as Numpad on my regular keyboard. For example, when I hit number one on my Numpad it's the same number one as on my regular keyboard or when I create a macro you can run it on both the Numpad or the regular keyboard Numpad. Any Ideas on how to separate the innut of these two keyboards in windows? Sorry for my English I'm still learning, Thanks.

Does such a keyboard exist? I don't need anything fancy. I don't need RGB. I just want a full sized mechanical keyboard, with blue switches of any kind, and floating keys, by a brand a notch higher than Redragon let's say. Heck I can even forgo the floating keys. Does such a keyboard exist for $100?

Can someone please tell me what the top row keys do? Also, I have a few keys ("d", "r", "n", "i", "m")that need to be pressed multiple times in order to work. I have had this keyboard for almost 3 years now. Do you think that they have been damaged? I have cleaned it many times. Thanks in advance!

The Solution to this is to reset your bios,I figured it out after quite a bit, if you run into the same thing don't go and format your C drive like me What Happened? Well, basically I was setting my pc (Specs are an i5 6500, gtx 1060 6gb , 16 gb of ddr4 ram, about half a tb of disk space, and a gigabyte b7 motherboard something~) to play with some of my friends today on it. I own a ps4 controller so naturally I decided I'd connect that to my pc like I have always done, my friends have ps3 controllers so I couldn't use the ds4 program and instead used something called scptoolkit. all went well until I installed the drivers like usual for it, i selected an option that forced driver installation and proceeded to select every input device (god what have I done) Following this my keyboard and mouse completely stopped working. Immediately,I decided I would attempt to fix it, from this I learnt some things about this issue: most fixes don't work. Apparently safe mode doesn't work, disabling driver signature enforcement doesn't work, and legacy usb port on the bios doesn't change anything to this issue. After being desperate and frustrated for a bit I decided I'd do a system restore and so I did. It did work for a tiny bit but soon after the restore my keyboard stopped working again and I tried to fix it using the device manager and uninstalling it's drivers (seems the keyboard didnt even respond but I uninstalled what was on the device manager's keyboard tab anyway) Following this I restarted expecting things to work again, well it did not. From this point onwards I can't access anything except the advanced boot options menu (the first image) and my bios as my keyboard and mouse no longer work outside those two , I have tried every option on that boot options thing could make sense: •the startup repair does nothing, •startup settings is inaccessible now as the keyboard won't work on it (and either way safe mode doesn't work as my keyboard and mouse don't work on it) •I found a few search results about "sfc" and trying that on the command prompt but it only "found corrupted files but cannot fix them" •I have tried the DILM command on the command prompt, it shows the "error:50" which I forgot which one that is •I have also attempted to system restore again,I only have 2 restores and my pc simply cannot restore to them for some reason • Pc won't reset, it errors during it •disabling reagentc and re-enabling it won't work it doesn't recognise reagentc in the command prompt for some reason The only option that I have not tried yet is the media creation center method, where you install a windows iso on a usb and boot it from there to perform the reset. One of my friends is bringing a usb with the iso on it tommorow for this, I should also add that I was able to log into a user that didn't have a password on my pc and this shows up (second picture). I can't close the boxes since my mouse won't work but what shows up under the first window says something like "class not registered" And before any of you all ask, I have tried the obvious: Unplugging and re-plugging the mouse and keyboardin different ways Turning off my pc (restarting) I sadly don't have any other keyboard and mice to try this on and also my controller doesn't work on the pc either.. what I'm mostly asking for here is if anybody has had any experience with an issue like this, I know it's quite specific but it's worth a shot asking ig. As mentioned above I haven't been able to try the media creation method; that's tomorrow and all I can hope for is that it works, but if that doesn't do any of you have an idea of what I can do moving forward? Since resetting the pc can't be done either way I don't think I have any other options here, what else can I do to fix this issue which may still keep my files if possible? ANY help you could provide would be a godsend so please go ahead.
