Hi guys, so a week ago i got a Corsair Veangance K70 fully mechanical keyboard, I love the keyboard so much, but i only have 1 problem. When i turn on the backlight i can hear a buzzing sound in my speakers. When i tuen off the backlight the buzzing goes away, with changing the brightness level of the keyboard the buzzing changes volume. If i turn the voume of my PC off I can still hear the buzzing, but if i turn off the sound of the speakers manuly(by turning the volume wheel) the buzzing stops. The sound file is what it sounds like(the background noise is jus me having a shitty mic). Untitled.mp3

Hey everyone, I've had the Corsair K70 Pro Mini Wireless for about a month now and I love it, except the advertised 2000hz mode does not work at all. The option to put the keyboard into 2000hz just doesn't appear at all in iCUE whatsoever. When wired though, the 8000hz mode works fine and only then does the 2000hz mode for the dongle appear as an option, although disconnecting the keyboard from USB caps it at 1000hz again. I did contact Corsair support but they weren't very helpful, opting to blame the issue on wireless interference rather than look into it possibly being a firmware or hardware issue. About a week later, ShortCircuit released a video on the K100 Air, which also advertises a 2000hz polling rate over wireless, and I noticed they also had issues getting the 2000hz mode to work. While I also believe this may be something wonky going on with the firmware, considering the keyboard has been out for awhile, I don't have too high hopes. I do have hope now that, since the issue was mentioned in the video, maybe Corsair will take notice. Has anyone else had issues getting the 2000hz mode to work on their K70 Pro Mini Wireless, or any other Corsair keyboard for that matter when using it completely wireless?

I have recently received the K70 Lux with Cherry MX Blue switches as a gift whilst I was abroad in Hong Kong and I am not too sure if it takes a while for me to get use to the switches but I think there is a little inconsistency in the switch in terms of the feel, I have tried a keyboard from ducky and other brands and they feel better than my K70 for some reason, is this a common thing that can be resolved or can it be a permanent problem for me. Keep in mind, I have had this keyboard for about 3 weeks since I have received it. I may also be my mind over thinking about it or something. Let me know what you think!

Hey, hoping that someone on this site has the knowledge to help me with this. So, i have had this K70 keyboard almost a year now, but just recently it started to do a strange thing. Every once in a while my keystrokes wont register, mostly happens when i press multiple buttons at once (for instance, strafe jumping in CS:GO) Whenever i do this it'll do one of two things, either not registrer any at all, or just one of the keystrokes. Does anyone by chance know what may be causing this? Thanks!

Hey guys, I was currently looking for a Corsair K70 cover that will protect it from dust and the like, that would be easily washable. The reason why I wan't something like this is because it get's somewhat annoying taking apart every key of the keyboard to clean the whole thing after a while. What I am currently looking at is this universal skin cover, however if there is anything better I would gladly like to take a look before I buy this! Please let me know if you know of anything! I don't want to have buyers remorse buying this, if I find something perfect for my keyboard a day later.

Hi i'm just wondering is there anywhere you can buy the same keycap as on the corsair k70 lux keyborad. This is not that important but i'm planning on buying a k70 so in case one/more keycap(s) break i could replace it cause i do not want to have a few keycaps be different from the other ones (except if i use f. ex. different keycaps for WASD).

Okay so I am new here, but I just wanted to post this as I have not found the information on any site while searching. But I have a K70 RGB keyboard that my computer no longer recognized by my PC. After hours of looking online and trying all the things that I found (not including reinstalling windows). I finally broke down and asked Corsair for help, and the results made me question why this was not on the troubleshooting part of any site. So I'm going to be posting it so everyone that does not want to ask for the help can easily find it and it sounds simple that is why everyone should know. Step one: unplug the keyboard. Press the escape key while holding the escape key plug the keyboard in and hold the escape key for ten seconds and release. Simple yes but I could not find it anywhere hope this helps.

A few weeks ago I bought a new Corsair K70 LUX RGB. I am completely in love with all the features of this keyboard, but there is one little thing that is concerning me. The RGB LEDs look very pretty, but every once in a while, a random LED decides to blink off or to a different colour. I don't know if this is a problem that is occurring with other keyboards too, or that I have a malfunctioning keyboard. Could somebody help me out? In the attached video you can see that the 'P' key blinks green for a very short moment. It is around the 6th second. Toetsenbord bug.mp4

Hello guys! I'm currently rocking a Logitech G610 Orion Brown keyboard, of which I really like. I have this keyboard for over a year and I really like it. Back when I bought it, this was the perfect entry level keyboard, but now I want more. I gathered some upgrades that I thought would serve me perfectly, yet I can't decide which one, because where I live is hard to get your hands on a demo model to test it out. The first one I obviously came across is the G810 Spectrum. Same mode, but with RGB. This seem a good idea, but for the same price, I can get a Corsair K70 RGB. This includes a wrist-rest, USB passthrough (for mouse, or whatever), has RGB, and a different design, which I like. The problem here is whether to buy a LUX variant, or not. The LUX one is cheaper, and doing a little search, I found nearly nothing more. The only difference I found is that the non-lux has normal, non gamery fonts. Are there any other differences? What is the TradeOff? This is unclear. Now moving to the higher pricegroup, I layed my eyes on the K95 Platinum. It is truly beautiful, but does it worth extra 40 bucs? You get a 2-in-1 wrist-rest, some macrokeys (I routed a lot to my mouse), and an RGB line on the top, where you literaly can't see it. Is the K95 Platinum worth the extra $30-$40 over the K70 RGB models, or not? TLDR: Help me choose a keyboard. Thank you in advance!

Hello guys!! My old 70 has been failing and I'm going to renew it. I've been looking at reviews, and I've been a Razer tester so I don't really like it. I'm between the k70 rgb rapidfire or the strafe rgb silent, I'm afraid that the plastic material of the strafe might could be not so durable as the K70, can anyone help me? Here, the Strafe is about 30$ cheaper than the K70 so if I can get it and works fine, it will be perfect. I mostly game in PC but I do also 3D for work, but I think the switches would be ok anyway Thanks!

Hi, Just been looking into getting a new keyboard and corsairs K70 range has caught my eye. I'm looking for one with RGB lighting and with a numpad. I'm not so worried about extra bind keys. (G1,G2, etc) But have come to a problem with choosing the right one. Due to so many different K70's. Any buyers guide or info about this range of keyboards would help alot. Cheers.

Hi all I have a k70 mechanical keyboard that I recently bought refurbished to use with my laptop in school however the plastic attachments for the wris rest have already started to fail however I am aware that several more modern keyboards use magnetic attachments for the wrist rests so my questions are 1. Will one of these attachments work on a k70 as it is mainly constructed from brushed aluminium and plastic which I know are non magnetic 2. Does anyone know of anywhere I can buy one of these wrist rests for a non extortionate price

Hi I own a k70 that I have been using in school but the strains of transporting it around ah e lead to the wristrest it comes with being quickly broken (the attaching points are the point of failure) for obvious reasons I don't want to buy a flat out replacement but I find the inbuilt wrist rest of high quality so I am wondering if anyone knows of a wristrest that offers similar ergonomics without the attachment points that failed on the original

Hi, I am looking for a new keyboard and I am torn between a refurbished rgb model for 100 on newegg (not the lux version, still has wierd corsair logo on it) and the rapidfire rgb for 140 dollars. If somebody knew if it was really worth the extra 40 dollars and could list reasons why one is better that would be great as I find it hard to spend 140 on a keyboard and don't know which one to buy. links: refurbished: https://m.newegg.com/Product?ItemNumber=23-816-043 Rapidfire: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01D8H09TS/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480426793&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40&keywords=k70+rgb+rapidfire&dpPl=1&dpID=51bfWSOtsRL&ref=plSrch

Good evening lovely LTT-community! I've been using a steelseries 6gv2 with black switches for I believe almost 3 years now, and love the linear feeling of the black switches, but I'd like to try out lighter keys, so I had the reds in mind at first. A friend recently bought the corsair k95 rgb and I was impressed by it so at first I wanted to go for it (with red switches) aswell cause I felt like I could use macro keys for different stuff. But then I found out about the k70 rgb rapidfire with mx speeds, which I am very curious about. My question is, since corsair doesn't offer a k95 rapidfire for some reason (I guess it wouldn't have that much demand): could I use the numblock on the k70 rapidfire to assign any kind of macro to those keys, using the corsair utility engine? from simple text macros to starting applications or auto hotkey script for example. I read you could also use different modes and a button to switch between those modes to have more actions to assign. Would be really nice if this works, I think it should since corsair states " Every key on the keyboard except the volume scroll wheel is assignable with an action of your choosing. " , but it would be nice to hear from someone who owns this or a similar corsair keyboard if this works. Thanks and have a nice day/evening/night!

I have heard about the RGB K70 series keyboards having lots of dead LEDs only a few months after use. I have heard this about the older models at least. I was wondering if this was still an issue with the rapidfire and the lux K70s or not? Also, is it worth buying one? I understand it is definitely in the range of the law of diminishing returns, but is the overall quality good? EDIT: Forgot to mention, would it be better to buy the strafe? It is still RGB and has reds, but it is slightly cheaper. Any problems with it?

Hello, I want to order a Corsair K70 Rapidfire RGB. I am not so much a fan of Corsair peripherals because they are a little expensive for my taste. I would like to order that keyboard, because it is not as wide as my current keyboard the Steelseries Apex, which I own for more than two years now. Also I want to get a keyboard with mechanical switches. So I said, f*** it, I'll get the Corsair one with these Cherry MX Speed switches. So here is my question: I use spotify and foobar2000 for listening to music while gaming. With my Steelseries Apex I can use the media Keys (Play/Pause, Next Song, Last Song, Vol+/-) while in game. Does this also work with the Media Keys of the K70? Does anyone have some experiences with the corsair Software? Sorry for any bad english, I hope i didn't make any major mistakes (spelling/grammar). Already thanks to the LTT community. Robolon

o, I am cleaning my K70 with browns keyboard after almost 11 months of playing, and working with it. I want you to tell me how I should clean the keycaps so that that glossy finish from the oils of my hand go out. I was thinking of submerging it in water and soap, or water and isopropyl alcohol. What should I do? I would MUCH prefer to tell me a way to submerge all the keycaps in a solution for them to clean out. Best regards, Slanensis

Hello Forum, So my Corsair K70 RGB is 3 months outside of warranty and earlier this week one of the keys (Left arrow key) lost its Red portion of its RGB lighting. At first I was really disappointed but decided I can deal with only one key being off color, perhaps I can find a way to fix or replace that key? But by the end of the week I had lost more than 5 keys. All of them seem to be missing the red back light color. Any ideas what could be causing this? I don't even use red exclusively. Its set to the EMP profile by Lewis Gerschwitz 90% of the time.

Hi everyone, I have been a user of the corsair k70 rapidfire for over a year now. Very happy with it, I think it's by far the best keyboard I've ever used (and I used quite a lot as a software engineer). My only complaint if I had one, would be that the wrist rest is a little small but not a big deal. Anyway, yesterday I also got a new keyboard for work. And I got the K70 Silent. I thought It wouldn't be a huge difference with the rapidfire and it will be silent, which would be more beneficial for work. It arrived this morning and returned it the same day. I ordered another rapidfire instead. I was surprised there was such a big difference between the rapidfire and the silent. One of the biggest reasons I do not like the razer keyboards is because of their matte finish on the keycaps (subjective opinion). This k70 silent had to my surprise also a matte finish on the keycaps, which I was very surprised to see, since I love the almost glossy keycaps of the rapidfire I have. But the main reason why I returned it, is the feel. The rubber dome makes it feel less satisfying, and more importantly, even though the actuation force is also 45g on the cherry mx silent, they felt slightly more harder to press and None of the keys felt smooth when pressing them down as if they were slightly grinding on a rough surface. Is this a known thing? Anyone else here who experienced both cherry mx speed and silent who can share his experience? And also how come Corsair has different keycap finishes? How come this is nowhere mentioned? I checked online videos that compare the rapidfire with the Lux cherry mx red. And you can clearly see the difference, where the Lux has the mat finish and rapidfire doesn't. Anyone knew about this?
