Device: iPhone 6s Plus OS: iOS 14.4.2 I was trying to update YouTube from the App Store and apparently it requires my iTunes account that I don't have? It said if I don't have an iTunes account I could use my Apple ID. I tried using my Apple ID password for the login but it keeps saying either my Apple ID or password is incorrect. It never even asked me for my Apple ID unlike a traditional username and password login. It just asked me for my password without telling which Apple ID I'm trying to log into nor asking me for it. I've reset my password from the given option but it still said I'm wrong. I can't update my apps without an iTunes account I guess. I downloaded the iTunes Store and the Apple Music app and there's no account system or anything like that from what I see. Here are some screenshots, I would appreciate any help! Thanks! First image: The list from where I'm trying to update YouTube and other apps Second image: The prompt it asks me when I click update from the previous image

Are playlist/librarys shared between people or are the on each seperate apple id? Me and my parents want to share an apple music family plan, but my step dad is worried that his playlists could possibly be edited by my mom or I. I couldnt find any information on this anywhere else so I resorted to where I know best. Thanks in advance for any information on this.

Greetings, I am in the process of upgrading my current PC. I want to move my iTunes music library from its current drive, which is the same as my gaming drive, to another drive and still preserve my custom playlists. Copying the files to the new drive and pointing iTunes to the new library location is not a problem. The problem is how do I preserve my custom playlists? If I export the playlists using iTunes, it generates a txt file that lists all the songs using the old library location. I have looked around for information, posted in Apple's support, and basically received no solution. I was also told, "If you were using a Mac, blah, blah, blah....." Does anyone in the community have any ideas that do not include overpaying for an under powered, outdated, and limited machine (/s)? Thanks!!

When I was transferring music over to my iPhone (yea that happened) via iTunes, sometimes it would fail to sync and I would have to delete the song and try again. Sometimes however, when I delete the song, iTunes doesn't do it properly and leaves an empty track that's only visible on the iPhone. So on iTunes such track doesn't exist, but when you try to play it on the iPhone, it just skips to the next track. I've tried swiping right on the track but it doesn't give me the option to delete. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? It's pretty annoying because I have about 5 of these damn ghost tracks. Running iOS 7.1.2 using the latest version of iTunes on Windows 10. Music is set to be managed manually on iTunes.

Hi everyone, I'm gonna need a little help with this one! So I just bought my lovely wife a new monitor (it's a Dell U2415 for anyone wondering), plugged it in to her laptop and it's working fine. However, once she started trying to play audio clips on itunes, anything that isn't already downloaded on her computer doesn't allow her to seek or fast forward, it just goes back to where it was previously before clicking ahead. I didn't think the monitor and itunes issue would be related, and I still think technically it isn't, but I read somewhere that it is actually the change in resolution (laptop was 4k, new monitor is 1920x1200) that somehow causes itunes to act weird. This still may or may not be the case for our situation here which is why I turned to the great community here at LMG to help me out. Does anybody know how to fix this? Has anybody had this problem before? Thanks in advance for any replies!

Hi, Here's the straight story - So I was looking at a file that itunes can't seem to play. I have this audio file which I got from a legit Audio CD and encoded with itunes lossless ALAC. The thing is, it wasn't playing no matter what software I tried. I then opened it via notepad and looky looky - Towards the bottom, a bunch of texts appearing in a code like pattern - I don't know but there were mentions of different EXEs. even some that won't be found in my computer. Also some entries with "Journal" in it. As well as other mentions of ".DatX" somethings. Help me! It even had something like 'D < U p d a t e S e s s i o n O r c h e s t r a t i o n . # # # . e t l € ' there, a bunch of them! Now, I can't post the entire code since maybe some of you would know how to extract some info from it. Any help!? I Just want my music back

Every single time I try to install iTunes, I get this error: I googled it and many people said it was as a result of not having the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack so I attempted to install it but it hasn't made any difference. Somebody else said to disable automatic Windows Module Installations but that hasn't worked either. Anybody got a solution? Thanks!

hey, guys. so my phone use to be on my family's iTunes account, and it was no big deal. well, I found out that from the beginning of summer until just now, my mom has been receiving and reading my texts on her iPad. I turned the setting off, but it can easily be selected back on, just by tapping my number on the message settings under "send and receive from". now I'm on my own iTunes account, but she can still do the same thing. is there a way to remove any ties of my number from that iTunes account? thanks!

Hey LTT! Been a while. Recently started listening to a band called Two Steps From Hell, they have an Album called Balls to the Wall featuring a lot of heavier drums that I really like. I can't seem to find it on iTunes, Amazon, or any of the places I normally would go for music. Anyone know where I can buy this?

My father recently updated his iTunes to the latest version and it will not start anymore. Running as an administrator doesn't help We tried restarting about twenty times ("Did you turn it off and on again?" "Yes.") We tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes about five times We made a new user account on the PC and it will not start there either The 32-bit version doesn't work either. Tried booting in Safe Mode Tried booting in Safe Mode with Networking (to download another version of iTunes) Going back to previous versions of iTunes doesn't help The narcissistic Apple support dicks think he should get a whole new PC. Any ideas?

Hi all, firstly I am no Apple guy here since I always used Android (Except for iPod touch) so I need some help. Someone gave me an iphone 5 (since I am waiting for my LCD+Digitalizer Combo of my Xperia) that didn't charged well so when i looked at the socket there was dirt, eww. So in the phone there was nothing ( like new) but when i looked at the configuration it had the apple ID. The Apple ID doesn't have the password so I can replace it with my like 5 year ago Apple ID but it asks for the password. I can't talk to the person now but I have tried restoring it but it says to update the iphone and I just updated it yesterday . I really need some help with this, if I choose update and restore it has like a 2 GB File to download. There's a little problem, itunes is x75 slower downloading stuff than my Download manager so, well. This is about to trigger me tho. Thanks in advance (BTW I have a Windows PC so, no Mac. Andddd, I am doing it via the Download mode like the iTunes and the cable mode.)

My Alienware 13R3's RGB music plugin doesn't support 64-bit iTunes, so I thought about installing the 32-bit version to make it work. However, I have a library of over 9,000 songs, and since I'll be stuck with 2GB of memory in 32-bit mode, I'm worried about performance. Will there be a significant difference in performance? Regards, Aereldor.

Hey you guys, I am trying to decide on a new drive to house my 2tbs of movies / tvshows for iTunes. I currently have a 2tb WD external USB 2.0 drive. I am looking to upgrade because the drive is making more and more noise and I am getting worried. My question is should I go with another external drive or switch to an internal 3tb. I have been reading that external USB connections can go bad faster than standard internal drive but dont have any proof of this. If I go internal I am planning on a 4tb WD blue, if I go external I am contemplating USB / thunderbolt 2.0. Thanks for any advice.

Hi guys, I'm a long time iphone user and just bought a Galaxy S10. I'm looking for a program(s) to manage my phone media. I've tried looking in FAQ sections here and there and explore the options but it's really overwhelming. What I need is - Sync phone music with my itunes library. (or something that can import and export the library to/from itunes. - Sync my photos and videos between my phone and computer. ( they are just sitting in folders on my computer) - Make complete backups to computer. It doesn't have to be all in one program/app I'm willing to put up with 2-3. Any help is appreciated ^^ Thanks!

You will listen to this free U2 Album It is reported that during the software keynote at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose, California next Monday, the tech giant is set to replace iTunes with different standalone version of music, television and podcast apps. replacing the almost 2 Decade old unifying app into 3 separate counterparts. Itunes was originally introduced in Jan. 9, 2001 . last update it received was at may 28 2019 just a few days back & that'll be the end of it, It's not planning to update the app according to the rumored news from Bloomberg. But no-one knows quite yet when it’ll put the service to bed permanently, presumably it’ll offer weeks or months for users to get their files in order before pulling the plug. The updated Music app will replace all music storage and organization functionality currently handled by iTunes. If you need to manage your iThings (local backups, OS updates, etc.), the Music app will take over there just as iTunes always has. users can expect the Music app to host many of iTunes’ audio features from now on. Apple already has dedicated apps for TV & Podcast being polished up for the event, with the introduction of the sleeker music app it will calling of the itunes app. Users can expect the new Music app to offer some of the same functionalities that iTunes currently does such as purchasing songs and syncing phones Music on mac OS retains the ability to sync a user’s devices such as iPhones and iPods. Devices show up in the sidebar just like they do on iTunes. The search bar has been moved to the sidebar, which integrates both Apple Music categories as well as the user’s local Music library, inherited from iTunes. This is the New Music App UI screenshot according to 9 to 5mac leaks Personally last time i used Itunes was way back when i got an ipod 3rd gen shuffle, the interface was pretty choppy back then i had no idea how to use it even after watching tutorials & kinda went with the flow & somehow added songs literally by luck. a stupid Chinese USB music player at that time had seriously better ease of use simple drag and drop interface which a few of my friends had. Maybe it would've changed later i could've gotten used to it but i dunno. And it looks like i'm not gonna.i used it rarely when i had the chance & whenever i was interacting with it i was confused creating playlist & having it organize files in my way. Anyways, So what do you guys think about this? Post your comments, rant, reaction down below. I know that in some versions there is support for "themes," but I don't know how to find or set them up, wondering if anyone else knows how to do this, or if there are existing resources/guides. I use 12.4.3.1, 32 bit, on Windows 10 because it has more features than current iTunes. (Weird, right?) On a similar issue, if I have to go and modify it manually, the updater text box pops up every time I restart the app, even if I tick the box saying "Do not ask me again," wondering if ther could be a way to actually activate that flag. This is probably a long shot, but I'd appreciate not burning out my eyes whenever I try to turn on shuffle.

Recently, I have installed iTunes from the Microsoft store onto my laptop with the intention of adding music to my iPod Nano, however, my device isn't recognized. After a little digging, I've learned that the 'Apple' folder in common files is missing as well as the AMDS. I cannot find any place to individually install theses files to my laptop and after uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times, I'm out of luck and have not a clue what to do: anyone have any suggestions?

I have a Drobo 5N w/24 TB out of 40 TB possible, and about 46% full. I store Docs, Pics, and Media on it. I can access it all the time it always shows on my network. But I keep loosing connection between the Drobo and iTunes so my Apple TV's stops. When I go into the Prefs it shows that the destination file has changed from the Drobo to the media fold on my Mac Mini. this happens about 2 or 3 times daily. I called Apple all they tell me is there is not a NAS that is compatible with Apple and there is nothing they can tell me about the Pref changes. Apple also told me if I wanted to use a NAS with my Mini's to use a Air Port Time Capsule even though their max capacity is far below what I need. I told them that if Apple ever made a Expandable NAS at an affordable price I would consider it. Does anyone know any fixes? I have looked all over the place but nothing has worked.

Source: ChannelNewsAsia (July 22), MacRumours, Source: ChannelNewsAsia, VentureBeats Summary: On July 22, 2018, Apple (Singapore) customers were shocked to find that they had billed for purchases on iTunes, for purchases that they did not make. The banks can notify them via SMS to state that their money in the bank account is low or if the bank detects very suspicious transactions, they immediately pause the transactions and query the card owners if they actually made those transactions. The unauthorised charges can also be billed to their mobile phone bill. The following day, Apple (Singapore) denies responsibility, however, is looking into the issue, meanwhile Singapore iTunes customers seek help from their bank to cancel their transaction and hope to get a refund. Banks even suggested that the card owners, to replace their compromised cards with a new one. Some iTunes owners are able to get a refund from Apple (Singapore), while others were not able to. My Own Thoughts Not sure if this is related to the recent cyberattack, which 1.5 million SingHealth patients' data were stolen. It's real scary, considering my country is trying to be a SmartNation. Question 1. Not sure about iTunes, but Google Play, before you purchase something, it request user's verification. There's an option to always verify, or trust this device. Do you set it to hassle-free and trust your device? 2. After successfully making a credit/debit transaction, do you remove your card from that account? 3. Do you guys used those Steam Cards, Google Play Gift Card, or Apple Gift Card(?, I know Apple has it too, just not sure of the name), load it up to your account and use it?

Hey, so I have a galaxy S7 edge and I still download all of my music and organize it into play lists on my phone. So one day I open the music app up and all of my play lists are empty. So I go ahead and reorganize them again and a few months later the same thing happened again but this time the SD card wasn't recognized until I took it out and put it back in again. So really what I am asking here is what is the best music solution for someone who still downloads all of their own music? I kinda just want something like I tunes where I can just get it together on my pc and plug in my phone and have it update all my play lists like that but I would rather not switch to an I phone. Also I listen to a lot of Japanese music so streaming isn't really the solution for me because last I remember the library for that type of music on spotify is very small. And I tend to not have the best data connection all the time.
