Hey all, I recently built a new PC and upgraded to Windows 11. I have 2 displays connected to my GPU (RTX 4070 TI SUPER) and I am constantly encountering this issue where I keep hearing connected disconnected sounds from PC. After checking all the USB ports, I found out that the issue was actually with HDMI. I have tried another cable but the same issue occurs. Basically the connection/disconnection keep happening randomly and the whole PC stutters/lags for a second or two. One of my displays is connected via Displayport to a G9 Odyssey running at 5120x1440 at 240Hz and the other display is an LG C1 OLED running at 4k 120Hz. I usually use one or the other exclusively and not both at the same time. This issue occurs only when I am running on the monitor and the HDMI is connected(doesn't matter the TV is on Standby or not but it usually it is on Standby). I have searched and tried many solutions but to no avail. To solve this issue I plug out my HDMI when using my PC monitor. When using my TV display as my only screen, this issue also doesn't occur. Only when HDMI is plugged in and I am only using my Monitor. Any suggestions or ideas what could be the issue? My PC specs: CPU: 7800X3D MOBO: ASROCK X670E STEEL LEGEND GPU: RTX 4070 TI SUPER

Hi! I hope you guys are doing fine. This is my first post here on reddit, and I have a question regarding why my monitor turns black and freezes suddenly when I am using Premiere pro or After effects. I can say that I do some intermediate stuff in Premiere pro and After Effects. I also have some plugins when using these applications. I already tried/did these things below: -added more ram from 16gb to 32gb -replaced the stock cpu fans with a thermalright dual tower -reseated the gpu (1660 super) I used DDU a couple of times already and made sure that I was using the 1660 super and not the integrated graphics( AMD ryzen 5 5600g) -replaced the psu from msi550 to corsair cx750 took everything apart except the ram and cpu. -used DDU one more time and replaced the driver from game-ready to studio-ready. I tried benchmarking it using UniEngine heaven and ran it to extremes. screen didn't turn black or freeze. I am now lost or don't know what to ask google anymore since I almost tried everything a simple gamer could do. I also tried re-installing windows 10 at one point just to clear some stuff up. Can someone enlighten me as to why this is happening? pc specs: cpu: Ryzen 5 5600g (1 year and 4 months already repasted) mobo: msi B550M pro-vdh wifi am4 gpu: gtx 1660 super (7 months ago, bought it from a local shop, not sure if it was new because the cover seal is already open when i took a look at it and the seller said it was good as new and had new thermal pads and paste; it was running fine for the past 5 months, then the remaining 2 started experiencing the black screen and freezes.) PS: Corsair cx750 ram: Kingston fury 3200mhz 4sticks 32gb 8each Is storage important? 1 kingston nvme 256 GB (half full), 1ssd kingston 500gb as well and 1 hdd 2 TBWD green 8 fans and a secure ups 650va automatic Any other stuff I do is fine, like playing heavy-intensive games like RDR2, GTA V, and Dark Souls, and some fps games and RPGs are also fine. Premiere pro and After Effects are the main culprits. They're pirated though, but it didn't happen before just recently, 2 months ago, i think, when I started doing more graphic-intensive stuff in Pr and Ae. please help. Thankyou!

Hello Everyone, My mic stops working randomly whenever I'm playing Escape From Tarkov with friends. We use Discord to communicate and everything goes well until randomly my mic will just stop working completely. I tried connecting back to the call and re-launching Discord but that doesn't help. The only way I get my mic working again is by unplugging it from USB port and plugging it back in. I thought that maybe the headset is the issue so I went ahead and borrowed my friend's one. I encountered the same issue today and have no idea what is causing this. The headsets I've tried are Logitech G Pro X (wired) and Corsair Virtuoso XT (wireless). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank You! P.S: The issue seems to be on my PC. I haven't encountered this issue on my laptop as of yet.

Parts list at the bottom. I know this doesn't sound like an error but when I turn on the PC I have a weird issues with the post LEDs. Each time I boot up the PC both the CPU and DRAM LEDs light up at the same time then the PC will boot successfully with no issues after about 1-2 minutes with no issues. Any clue what's going on here? So I first discovered this problem when i was trying to play roblox and warzone on my pc, i would get like 5 fps on warzone and some random days i would get like 15 fps on roblox on the lowest graphics settings. I fixed the roblox issue by closing my extremely large amount of browser tabs open, but this didnt help warzone. I did a usertesting benchmark and it said everything is underperforming EXCEPT my hdd. I never checked if it was doing this before, but all games ran completely playable on low settings 1080p. PC specs: gtx 1650 super ryzen 5 3600 2x8gb tforce rgb 3600mgz ddr4 evga 600w psu silver certification 120gb m.2 ssd asrock b450m steel legend mobo 1tb velociraptor 10000rpm hdd Additional info that might be helpful: I leave my pc running 24/7 with a restart around every month i used to cryptomine on it (but reset my pc afterwards) my m.2 ssd is very full and by hdd is about 3/4 full the screen used to glitch out a ton and the audio would get all messed up when i bumped into the pc even slightly, but does not do this anymore, idk why it stopped i tried to overclock the ram and about 2 weeks later the pc would constantly crash, had to bring it to best buy and they said my os got corrupted(not sure if related) task manager says no heating issues, and no resources really get past 30 percent use even when playing games(havent tested heavy load games) i occasionally edit videos on my pc i already cleaned out about 70 percent of the dust, my spray can was kinda weak though pc about 2-3 years old the ssd couldnt get tested properly, idk why though Any help is very appreciated, i will try to put a picture of my benchmark results

Hello users of the LTT forum, after a lot of reseating and troubleshooting I finally decided to try another PSU since my vega wasn't giving me a display signal. I replaced my immaculate Straight Power 10 600 Watt Gold Efficiency PSU, which has been powering a much more power hungry GPU for about a year now, with a 450W System power 7. And this hail mary worked for some reason. I'm sort of confused and also pissed since I wasted so much time on troubleshooting and cannot fathom why the vega only accepts my crappy 10 year old PSU. I'm also not entirely sure whether I can now be certain that the GPU is fine since I've been planning to sell it if I got it to work. Any input is appreciated, the card has been running Doom Eternal/Forza Horizon in 4k without issues for multiple hours now. Pictured below: the GPU in question and the AMD Software while Doom is running. Greetings from Germany, Kevin

I have literally swapped every single part of this pc and nothing stops the crashing, it's usually 15-30 minutes into gaming only and all temps stay below 65. The most recent swap I did was the GPU, I thought for sure it was the problem, I swapped the same GPU because I thought my old one just went bad, it worked fine for a few weeks but now some games can barely be playable for 15 mins. I also swapped my old 5700G for my current, I had some slower RAM compared the current. I even swapped my CPU and GPU from an old motherboard because I was also switching pc cases. I am thinking its a software/file issue now but I have no idea how to pinpoint it. Should I try a clean install of windows? Should I take the PC to a computer repair shop? I am so close to just getting rid of this thing and starting fresh because no matter what I tweak in the bios, drivers, or anything, it seems I'm out of options. Sometimes the PC bsod and sometimes the game simply closes, my screens go dark, and AMD throws a GPU/Hardware error. I've also checked the event viewer and mostly get the "critical" Hardware error message along with Kernel Power 41 error. Games that crash within 15 mins: Forza Horizon 5 Rainbow SIx SIege Beam NG Drive Fortnite GTA V and more I've also made sure all Drivers, Windows, Chipset, BIOS are up to date My current specs are as follows: Gigabyte B550 X V2 Motherboard RX 7900XT R7 5800X3D 850W Corsair PSU Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) 3600MHz 1x 4TB SATA SSD 2x 1TB M.2/nvme SSD

So, I bought a steam deck about a year and a half ago, and now the screen does not work. There is an ongoing issue with decks all over but basically stems from the same issue. You let your steam deck go dead. Like, dead dead. Meaning you left it at 2% over night without charging it. You come back in the morning, and plug it into the charger to get a quick session in before work and your deck wont display anything. You know it is on, because the fan is spinning and haptics are working, and you can hear the boot sound into os. You shut it off, try getting into the bios settings, just to see if anything different could be causing your issues. But you cant even see your bios. My steam deck is still usable, docked only. Apparently, this issue is the same issue that I expect thousands of others have encountered. I went to reddit and there are "fixes" ( soft resets, hard resets, button combos) But in the end, you cant get the device to display anything on its internal display. Valves fix for this? If you are in warranty, free RMA. If you are not, $185 for the service + shipping (so around 200$) I am not in warranty, and it will take a long while for me to be able to afford this repair (Single dad, with lots of bills) I guess my issue is just how valve has done nothing to combat this problem. It still happens on OLED models. They haven't even publicly acknowledged that it is an issue. Yet to me as a user who has done everything right (not installed windows, no hard resets, etc) I feel somewhat betrayed that this device is now a brick. The whole point of a steam deck is portable power, but now mine is not portable.

Hello, I am in need of some help. A couple of months ago, I was cleaning my Surface Pro 7's drive in order to optimize and free up space using CCleaner. In doing so, I believe that I accidentally deleted some key drivers used for power management, battery monitoring, and battery display (how I managed to royally screw up so bad is a question I ask myself every day). Normally you'd think it'd be an easy fix, but it has been anything but easy. This is where I go over everything that I have done that I could possibly think of. I may be tech savvy, but I am not attuned to digging below the surface level of software. I have reset back to the last windows update, soft reset my surface (kept files and apps), hard reset my surface (wiped everything and start fresh), installed a fresh version of windows from Microsoft, installed the Create Windows 11 Installation Media tool, installed Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO), ran an in-place upgrade for windows 11, and downloaded the latest Surface Pro 7 drivers and firmware and I still cannot get the battery icon/drivers to work. I'm at the point where I don't know what to do next and all of the guides I try to lookup still have the battery drivers installed but they are either hidden or just not operating. There are no hidden drivers under device manager and the only thing that I can see that is an issue is the Surface Serial Hub Driver which has an error flag for: "This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE." I am out of my depth here with several support chats with Microsoft doing no good. I really need some help here guys. Anything and everything is appreciated if it helps me get full functionality of my Surface Pro 7 again Note: This is not a major issue in the sense that I cannot use my Surface whatsoever. Daily issues include: battery life has been noticeably affected, cannot monitor battery life at all, device shuts off without warning when the battery is dead, and date code and device memory does not update to current date and time until the device has been on for about 30 minutes or so and is essentially stuck in the last place and time that I had my Surface on.

I bought a hx1000i psu from Aorus and I had a X670E-E Motherboard from Asus, everything was fine until I tried to plug the 24 pin atx which doesn’t fit on the MB, I thought it was a standard, is there a chance that they’re not compatible? The cable is 24 pin in one side and 18+10 pin on the other, and my motherboard had the 24 pin atx. Can someone help me? And the tell me what I’m doing wrong or confirm if the cable is defective. Note: I ensured that I’m plugging in the right direction, checked if every shape of every pin match, and even tried to plug the 18+10 on the MB (which obviously doesn’t fit) in case I was plugging it backwards, I applied sufficient force btw.

I have an issue while playing a handful of titles on my PC. I seem to have an issue where my screen experiences some sort of vertical line pixelation or screen door effect in some games. The strange thing is, it only tends to happen while outdoors and near foliage such as grass or trees. If I look towards the ground, it fixes itself until I look back at the foliage. Any ideas on what's causing it or what I can try to fix it? I have an Nvidia RTX 4060 from MSI and 32 gigs of ram, and no it's not the monitor's fault as far as I know.

Hi, I use all AMD machine: cpu Ryzen 7 7800X3D with MSI Radeon rx 7900xt running on win11. Fairly new pc, having It for more that 4 months (Build It myself, but now I'm starting to regret It). Today top 20% of my screen flickers (or maybe gets displaced) at random intervals and system during that sometimes gets a hiccup. On a first glance It looks like driver issue or something with a hardware, but I reinstalled the lower version of the adrenaline driver (From 23.12.1 to 23.11.1)and saw that the flicker happend on that update once as well so I'm worried. What else do You suggest, please help. I was saving for that machine for a long time, don't want to lose It :I

We recently upgraded to fiber optic cabling to our house and the speeds are amazing but since then I've been having some problems. The symptoms are as follows: Only problems are with LAN WIFI works fine (every device with LAN connection has the same experience) When powering on device it shows that it is connected to internet but when trying to access any website it will load indefinitely (but won't show in browser that there is no network connection) While on the device it says I am connected when I check connected devices in the router settings it does not show anything until Only thing we have done to temporarily fix the issue is restarting computers, unplugging and re-plugging lane cable, and rebooting the modem. It will also randomly through the day just stop working but if I am downloading something it will continue to download; or in a call on my pc I can still hear the other client, but they cannot hear me. This happens until after about 5 minutes it starts working again. Before the fiber and new modem nothing like this happened which is why I am inclined to think that the modem has an issue. After a bit more testing I found that the internet stops for all LAN devices when I turn on my own PC, and the other devices will lose internet but also still say they are connected in the bottom right. Things I've checked: I've run an antivirus Checked the cabling running from my pc to modem (still recommend and idea if you think its the cabling) Network reset has been run and no change. How can I fix this

I have this build which I started 3y ago but changed basically everything of it to this point, besides the CPU. Currently, it has this very weird problem of turning off when I punch my desk and sometimes it doesnt want to turn on again with all my RAM sticks connected, I have to remove 2 of them to make it work. The computer is completely usable without it as I have 64gb of Corsair Dominator on it, the 64gb was mostly to play Cities Skylines as it is a very intensive game. I am starting to think it is a problem with the CPU, as I had a similar problem, but not to this extent, with my previous mobo, a B550 from ASUS. Current setup (yes, I am aware the bottleneck of this build is my cpu but I was meant to sell it to a friend to get a 5800X3D but he backed off) * Asus prime X570 * AMD 5600X * MSI 4070ti * Corsair PSU 750w gold * 4x16gb Corsair Dominator 3600 DDR4 (this is another problem as well as I have never managed to get them to work at 3600, 3200 was the only semi stable speed I could put them on) * Noctua NH-US12 Chromax Most of the cables are less than 9 mo old, inc PSU, case cables and fan cables, but doubt those would short circuit something that would restart my pc. Do you guys think this is a problem with the CPU (ive seen some reddit topics that this CPU has some issues with memory, but couldnt pinpoint anything)?

In Discord, my microphone (Blue Yeti GX Logitech) will not work, however only in the calls. Everything else works, such as the playback setting to test your mic. I am not muted in the server, and have not muted myself. There is nothing wrong with the microphone itself. What is the issue?

I took out my ram but it back in. Tested out my power supply, basically tried to troubleshoot the issue. I unplugged my ssd. unplugged the front panel connectors and nothing seems to work. The monitor and mouse light works also. I even have the pc plugged in to the wall.

Hello to you all! Is a pleasure for me to post a thread inside this fantastic community! (I will ask you to have patience/apologize about my english, because im italian and my english sucks) I got a problem with my RTX 3090Ti, in the last days i noticed that playing PUBG or Alan Wake 2 or CS2, im getting High Temperatures. (Like 85-89°) Yesterday I opened the gpu without any problem and re-applied the thermal paste "Artic MX4", but for some 30-40 minutes everything was normal at 65° after went damn hot again to 85-89°. So i don't really know what to do, because is the first time this things happen to me. I was thinking two things, undervolting or thermal pads change, what should i do? My PC is composed by: I7-14700kf - (CPU Temperatures: 36° in idle, on stress 60-65° not more.) NZXT 240 - Kraken AIO. 32gb 3600MHZ Z790 - Aeorus DDR4 Elite Ax - V. "F10c" Bios 1000W Asus Gaming Case Corsair 4000D - (The side-glass panel getting very hot too.) Case fans orientantion / airflow: 1 Fan 120mm in the back - 2 fans 240MM AIO Radiator oriented up (throwing air outside from up) 3 fans 120mm putting inside air in the front. like in the example: (I play normally in 3440x1440 and i got other 2 monitors connected for a total of 3 monitors.) Any suggestion?

For our youth movement we use a google group to share our agenda with everyone (about 36 members) Usually I just add them to the group and they can see and use the agenda. For some reason one of our members can't see it, I have tried removing them from the group and adding them again, I've tried removing the group from the agenda and adding it again but he just isn't able to use it. Does anyone know a possible fix or has anyone else had this experience? Thanks in advance

I’ve had prolonged issues with my windows install just not working. One day I turned on safe mode, and it just broke. I believe a crash happened mid update, whilst it was updating the kernel. The issue has prevailed, no matter what solution anyone has come up with and now it’s at the point where the PC will simply not display. specs are 7800X3D, Corsair vengeance ddr5 ,crucial P2 and P5, ab650I aorus ultra motherboard, RTX 3070 this is the third month of the issue and it’s just degraded. kill me.

Hello everyone, I´m new on the community and i hope you can help me with this weird issue on my PC when booting up. (In advance, I want to apologize for my poor english, I am from Latin America and English is not my strong suit. I´ll try to be clear as possible. My PC specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600g MSI B550 Tomahawk motherboard 16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengance Pro (2x8GB working in Dual Channel at 3200MHz) Samsung NVME SSD 980 500GB PSU: MSI A750GF 80gold The issue: One in every 20 or 30 times, my computer turns off just before starting Windows (It doesn't show the Windows logo before turning off, it's always before and after the Motherboard logo) The times it does start (The other 20 or 30 times), it works perfectly and can stay on for the amount of time you want and even under heavy load (Gaming). Do you guys have any idea of what could be the issue? Should i be scared of this damaging my PC at the long run? I assembled the PC part by part about 4 months ago but at this day, i´m still cluless about this isssue.

Hi we recently have had an issue with 3ds max 2020 after upgrading to V-Ray 6.1, typically we work in 2 instances of the program so while one is loading a file we can work in the other. However after the V-Ray upgrade the issue is that while the file is loading it freezes and locks up everything in windows until its finished loading. What I've found is that if I manually change the process affinity to force the 2 instances of 3ds max to use separate cores the issue isn't present. I have already contact V-ray and 3dsmax support but they are horribly slow so I would like to get some suggestions from the community.

I've posted to this form before about high temps in FIFA23 and other intensive games. Since then, I have not found any solution other than simply not playing the games that cause these high temps (90-100c). Before I take my PC back since I am still under warranty, I just want to know if it's specific to my machine or just a common issue amongst this CPU. I just ran a 3dMark Time Spy benchmark so take from this what you will. I understand what components it could be, I would just like to know what other people (the relatively uninitiated) would do in this scenario. Thanks to anyone who can help!

(Reposting this from reddit, as I did not get much help there) Specs out of the way: - i7 12700F - B660M Aorus Pro AX (DDR4) - 16gb 3200mhz DDR4 RAM (8gb x 2) - Gigabyte RTX 3070 Good day! The specs listed above is my new PC that I had just built last year February. This year starting February I've been having issues with it. Particularly, it won't turn on. The issue started when one day, It wouldn't turn on automatically with just one press of the power button. The fans would spin for just a split second but my PC won't continue powering on. I found out that if I hold down the power button for around 3 seconds, it was effective in making it boot up. Call it brute force if you will. I didn't really mind this issue because I was too busy with work in general and thought it might have been just caused by my UPS's battery dying which I can easily replace later. nonetheless, it was an effective way for making my PC turn on for a while (around 1-2 weeks). Until one day, it just wont power on anymore. At that point I realized that it was definitely a problem with my PC, as it still won't turn on when plugged directly to the wall. The first thing I (or anyone this case) would suspect to be the problem would be the PSU. I was using a Gigabyte P750GM (yes, the one that's known to explode, but it never exploded and never smelled like burnt electronics). So I ordered a Seasonic Focus Plus Gold GX850 as a replacement. So I installed the Seasonic PSU and to my surprise, my system still won't turn on as I spam the power button. I thought I might have been just unlucky and got a unit which was dead on arrival. I was lucky I was able to send it back. Alas I settled for a Corsair HX850 (the latest model I believe). So I installed the Corsair PSU and it STILL won't turn on. However, I did not spam the power button this time. I figured it was definitely some other hardware problem. After hours of tinkering. I found out that strangely, my PC turns on when my RTX 3070's power cables are removed. At that point I was convinced that my GPU was dead, but after trying it on my old 2015 PC, it would still turn on and run, and is detected correctly by windows. I need a GPU to make my newer PC work (because my CPU doesn't have an iGPU) so I tried plugging in my GTX 960 which I scavenged from my old system. The strangest thing is that my PC runs with the 960, but not when the 3070. It is still my current setup. Does this mean that my motherboard was the problem this whole time? Before I decide to buy a new motherboard, I would just like to ask your opinions if that would be the correct move to finally resolve everything. Why is it that my PC refuses to turn on with a 3070 but turns on with a 960? Things I've tried: - Tried using different power cables - Tried reseating RAM - Tried plugging the 3070 in the PCIe 3.0 slot - Cleaned the 3070 as well as my entire PC - Opened up PC case's power button and checked if it's working correctly Things I haven't tried: - Updating bios (I have little faith that this a firmware issue because the PC does not boot up in the first place. No fans spinning or signs of powering on if the 3070 is plugged in, and it was working well for a whole year prior to having these issues). Currently, I am still using the same PC but with the GTX960 installed. It has been working well and has no issues when gaming. Any knowledge / information regarding how this could be a motherboard issue (or if you have any other ideas) would be a great help. It would also help me decide whether to get a new motherboard or not.
