Spec MSI B360M PRO-VDH 8gb Ram i5 8th gen I have been battling with a PC I have recently built to get it to install any operating system. Initally I thought I had a bad version of Ubuntu. I since have tried new boot media as well as windows 10 and debian. Every installation freezes or spits out a number of random errors. I instead plugged the SSD into my PC and installed Ubuntu through my PCs motherboard and ram etc. Then hooked it back up to my 'newly' built machine, this loaded up and then launch Ubuntu in emergency mode. I am baffled as to what the issue is. Is my motherboard screwed? It was second hand but my friend that gave it to me never experienced these issues. Another thing to mention when i tried installing windows 10 i got vertical orange an white lines all over the screen on boot. Is someone able to give me some guidance on this. I have been trying to get this work every night for the last week!

Hello to all participants of the LTT forum. First of all, sorry in advance for my English, as I'm not a native speaker. I have a technical conundrum that I wish you could help me with or provide any ideas. I have a .cdr file created by Disk Utility in 2012, which should be some kind of .iso in terms of format, and according to Finder, it's a "Master DVD/CD-R Image." This file is password-protected, and I never manage to guess the password. Every time I clean up and organize my backup disks, I come across it, and the curiosity comes back to me. I am certain that I created it (back then, I was obsessed with Fabri Fibra - an Italian rapper - and indeed, the file is named fibra.cdr). It is probably just an ISO image of a concert DVD (as it weighs around 4.5 GB) that I may have encrypted to share via Torrent or something similar. I forget what I had for lunch, let alone things from 11 years ago. I am too curious to find out what's inside and I cannot remeber for the life of me. I would even pay to have it opened, as long as it's done locally via TeamViewer - VNC. Since I have no idea what's in it, I don't feel comfortable sending it to someone. Do you have any ideas or can you point me in the right direction? I'm on Mac but have access to a very low spec laptop Windows PC if needed. Thanks to all, and have a great summer!

I recently decided to make a modded version of the Windows 10 iso using the MSMG toolkit, and I removed most microsoft software for privacy reasons. (following this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6XPff38iSc; i removed mostly the same stuff as him but kept some things) The microsoft store is still functional with free software, but for paid games/software (eg: forza horizon 4 which is registered to my microsoft account) i cannot download. i try to sign in, but when i press the add account button, it doesnt work. I also tried opening the windows store in a browser, signing in, then pressing install (which opens up the windows store, but it still does not allow me to download it.) is there a way to sign into the microsoft store while still remaining private from windows? also, logitech g hub does not want to install. this could be a seperate issue, but when I open the installer, it just get stuck on installing, but once i actually open the program, it is unusable.

Hello everyone, I’m trying to figure out how I can possibly find any of the asrock Aqua Motherboards. I’ve been obsessed with using it in my build and Cannot figure out how to buy one directly from asrock. I am looking to upgrade from a B550 mb and I think the Aqua is An excellent choice, however when I go to the website I can’t find a link to purchase one. Any Watercooled motherboard would be great. But I haven’t seen one other than this

Although it is not the first of it's kind, what is Ventoy? Ventoy is an open source utility for creating bootable USB media containing multiple OS installers. This does away with the traditional re-formatting of thumb drives again, and again, and again every time you need to install something different. Once you install Ventoy to a reasonably sized thumb drive all you have to do is download the .ISO's that you need and save them to the open partition the Ventoy installer creates. The software is compatible with a broad array of popular Windows, GNU/Linux, & UNIX based Operating Systems including but not limited to: CentOS FreeBSD Hiren's BootCD PE pfSense PROXMOX TrueNAS CORE Ubuntu Desktop Ubuntu Server VMware vSphere/ESXi Windows 10 NOTE: Not every OS and OS version are fully tested. Your mileage may vary. Test what you need before relying on Ventoy. For a full list of compatible operating systems refer to their compatibility list linked here. 1. Installation From here Ventoy is ready to use! Ventoy is still an active project which receives periodic updates. For this reason in both Windows & GNU/Linux you have the ability to update Ventoy itself without reinstalling all of your .ISO files. This brings feature updates which may increase .ISO compatibility helping in edge cases where certain Operating Systems don't want to work with Ventoy.

Hey Guys, im currently trying to install proxmox to my system. After booting from a USB-Drive I was greeted with the Proxmox installer, after selecting "Install Proxmox VE" it started testing my devices for a valid ISO after a few retries it spit out an error that said "[ERROR] no device with valid ISO found, please check your installation medium unable to continue (type exit or CTRL-D to reboot)". Does anyone have an idea what could fix my problem or what is causing it? I fixed it by selecting the "DD-Mode" in rufus while creating the bootable USB.

Hi, there! First of all, I'm not seeking help for piracy or bypass. As you can see in the photo, I have a genuine key, but I have no idea where my original XP cd is. I own an old laptop which needed to replace the HDD. This laptop is around 15 years old, so it won't run (properly) newer Windows versions. I would like to know where can I find an original (untouched) ISO of Windows XP. Microsoft does not seems to have it available (like it has for Windows 7, with a valid key), and all that I find are cooked up versions in sketchy sites. Does anyone know where can I download a genuine ISO of Windows XP?? Thanks in advance!

Hello people! I want to get a new keyboard. My current one, a random Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 I just went into a shop and got as the first option, because my old one died, is getting...annoying. Keys are starting to double type, some of the keys are starting to break so they don't sit proper on the keyboard and other similar issues. However, after checking out the keyboard videos that Plouffe made, I find that the keyboards he reviews often only have limited Nordic ISO options. I am from Denmark, so I kind of need the Nordic ISO to feel at home with my keyboard. The options tend to be 70% size (so you get some kind of laptop keyboard setup with FN keys and whatnot to use Home, End, Page Up/Down) or you get a setup that doesn't have a numpad. I want a 100% mechanical keyboard for my desktop that is Nordic ISO, but also has replaceable switches so I can customize the switches and keycaps as I wish. The keyboard itself will be used mostly for typing, but also gaming. Any ideas on where to look or just keyboards you can recommend?

During summer 2015, Microsoft started heavily back-adding telemetry to Windows 7 via various updates. In this post is a link for a fully-updated June 2015 ISO of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 that pre-dates that telemetry back-adding by Microsoft, as well as resources for creating your own custom Windows 7 installer ISO that only has the updates that you wish to have. At the bottom of this post is an archive containing all security-only updates released from October 2016 - October 2017. To install Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit using the provided June 2015-updated ISO, you'll have to have your own license key to use during the installation process. A license for Windows 7 Ultimate can be bought from eBay or reddit and other places for very cheap, less than $10 or even less than $5. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fully updated as of June 2015 Windows 7 Ultimate 64 ISO download link Windows 7 Ultimate 64 (updated to June 2015): -redacted- Description Here is a clean ISO image of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, which is fully-updated with SP1 and all other Windows 7 updates, up to June 2015. No Windows 7 key, license, or pre-activation is provided with this download. This ISO requires that a person has their own license for Windows 7 Ultimate, and that they enter it during the installation process, as is normally done. This ISO image is a normal Windows 7 Ultimate installer, with nothing missing or added, other than all the official updates from Microsoft since October 2009, up until June 2015, including Service Pack 1. What for Microsoft back-added their telemetry and data-collection to Windows 7 in August of 2015, so this is Windows 7 Ultimate, as it was right before Microsoft made any undesirable and invasive changes to its feature-set. This ISO allows a person with a valid Windows 7 Ultimate license to reinstall their Windows 7 Ultimate with all updates up to before Microsoft underwent a paradigm shift and started turning Windows against its users, to use people's installations of Windows 7 for invasive, non-authorized, and likely criminal purposes. If someone wants a Windows 7 installation ISO that is updated to after Microsoft added telemetry and data-collection, one is available for download directly from Microsoft. With this ISO and their genuine Windows 7 Ultimate license key, a person can install Windows 7, and then simply turn off all automatic updates, or all updates completely, in order to never have Microsoft's unwanted updates applied to their Windows 7 OS and PC, yet while still having a fully-functional, stable, and modern Windows 7. Note - 2 Windows updates to uninstall It has been pointed out that this ISO contains updates related to Microsoft's "free upgrade to Windows 10" offer, which Microsoft pushed through Windows Update in April 2015, and so exist in this June 2015 ISO of Windows 7. They will have to be manually removed from the OS after it finishes installing. Those two updates are KB3035583 and KB3150513 [2], and they can be uninstalled by doing the following: Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & security > Windows Update > Advanced options > View your update history > Uninstall updates. Select the update you want to remove (KB3035583 and KB3150513), then select Uninstall. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Creating a Custom Windows 7 Home, Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise ISO If you want to create your own custom updated Windows 7 ISO for Windows 7 Home, Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise, see this link for a guide: https://www.raymond.cc/blog/create-an-integrated-up-to-date-windows-7-install-disc/ A 2011-updated Windows ISO of either Home, Professional, Ultimate, or Enterprise, to be used for the above-described process, can be obtained from here: http://mirror.corenoc.de/digitalrivercontent.net/ (alternate link here) The ISOs available for download from that page are the official Microsoft Windows 7 ISOs that used to be hosted for public download on Digital River. If you wish to create your own updated Windows 7 ISO, you can also use these quick-access links to download torrent files for untouched official Windows 7 ISOs from Microsoft. These torrent files are the same as the ones for their same versions provided in the above link: Windows 7 Home Premium x64 with SP1, 620851: -redacted- Windows 7 Pro x64 with SP1, 621750: -redacted- Windows 7 Pro x64 without SP1, 65805: -redacted- Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with SP1, 677332: -redacted- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extra precaution with Aegis and Spybot Anti-Beacon After installing Windows 7 with this ISO, a person can then run the separately-provided Aegis script, which will block much of Microsoft's Windows 7 telemetry updates from being searched for, and from being found by Windows Update. With the Aegis script blocking all known telemetry updates, a person can then safely continue to receive all other updates for Windows 7. Aegis script to block various Windows 7 telemetry updates from being found by Windows Update, and from being downloaded and installed: https://mega.nz/#!dhExAbBa!fehYhbTNz5dIBh72psfXLfwv9wMk0uhMpGli-c0pBn4 The Aegis script was last updated March 18, 2016. A list of telemetry-containing updates released beyond Aegis' last updated date is here: https://pastebin.com/jWX2zHdr Alternatively, or to be used in conjunction with other methods, a person can also check out Spybot's Anti-Beacon program, which aims to prevent Windows 7 telemetry. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows 7 x64 Security Updates from October 2016 - October 2017 This download is an archive of 12 monthly security-only updates for x64 editions of Windows 7 Home, Professional, and Ultimate, spanning the period of October 2016 - October 2017: https://mega.nz/#!Jgd1zAxT!-uk7-glIG98r3oE24iaQ-mi0qIIBgMZS55oH5VgjdYY Included in this archive of 12 monthly security-only updates for Windows 7 is the update to address the WannaCry ransomware threat. "(WannaCry)" has been added to that updates label to make it easy to identify, if that's all that a person wants to install. The WannaCry security update for Windows 7 can also be downloaded directly from Microsoft's website at this address: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4012212 Caution: Some of these security updates likely contain telemetry in them. If wanting to vet what potential security issues each update is addressing, and whether it is worth risking adding some telemetry to the system, do an internet search for the individual KB identifiers for each update. For example, the WannaCry security update is labelled KB4012212. Also included in this archive is another folder, which is called "select 2016 quality updates". And in that folder are a couple of possibly non-intrusive non-security updates. However, I didn't include them in this package for any specific reason other than that I didn't take them out of the folder before archiving and uploading it, and if wanting to not have any telemetry installed at all, I suggest not installing the updates that are in that folder.

Hello Recently I am having strange problems trying to mount iso files on Windows 11, before there's no issue at all. When I tried to mount iso files, it comes up with two different issues 1. 2 Errors appear: - "Windows can't access this disc, the disc maybe corrupt. Make sure the disc uses a format that Windows recognises. If the disc is unformatted, you'll need to format it before using it" - on the back of the above error it also says "Couldn't mount file : The disc image isn't initialised, contains partitions that aren't recognisable or contains volumes that haven't been assigned drive letters. Please use disc management snap-in to make sure that the disc, partitions, and volumes are in usable state. (at this stage, a virtual disc drive appear but blank) and the "Windows can't access this disc, etc etc as above appears everytime I click it) 2. Iso files mounted and a virtual drive appears and seem successfully mounted the iso file, but upon inspection only a tiny fraction of the file size is actually mounted. (ex: iso file is 12 GB, but only 123 Mb in the virtual drive) and won't work when I tried to run the files. I tried every possible fix guides online, but none work. I do not install nor changed anything recently aside from Windows updates. No malware, virus detected. It was still working fine around the end of February 2022 for sure. if I use 3rd party iso mounting apps like poweriso, it works without issues. Anybody might be able to help? Thanks

applications Intel Unison (desktop and mobile application)
Stupoo97 posted a topic in Phones and Tablets
Causally browsing TikTok, when this " Tech TikToker" recommended this app " Intel Unison". which allows you to send / receive messages, manage your photos, calls and notifications. and Transfer files between devices, the transfer speeds are instant blink you'll missed the transfer. (I am assuming this is depending on the size of the file you're transferring from PC to Phone or the other way around). If you are interested or need of faster / more responsive app, give this a try. Intel® Unison™ - Microsoft Store Apps Intel® Unison™ on the App Store (apple.com) Unison (Intel® Unison™) – Apps on Google Play I am not sure if the app is available on MACOS. If you're someone like me who transfers files between PC and mobile a lot, this app will save you time and hassle. No more uploading unnecessary files to the cloud for them only to be deleted from the cloud after you've finish / downloaded said files. -

I'm looking for software that can create an ISO file for me that I'll boot via USB as a testing tool\installation of operating systems and so on. I would like to have the option to include the ISO what image files I want in the same style (for example: MemTest86 or HDD Regenerator) as long as there is enough space on my usb-drive of course. I'm aware that it is possible to do it with tools like Hiren's, but I would prefer something simpler as DLC-boot style, with a GUI. The problem of the DLC tool, that it is pretty bound/locked up only for what their website has to offer, and can't operate with any other ISO's. I'd prefer a open source program, but I won't really nag about it if there is none.

So I currently have all the parts for my build, except windows. I know a lot of people hate Windows 10 but I have chosen to go with it. I just wanted to know if i would need an activation key at some point. Like is there some sort of trial that when it ends, i need to put in an activation key? Or does the windows ISO last forever. I have the Windows 10 ISO file on a USB.

Hey guys, I want to buy Just Cause 3 and my local retailers have a dvd copy of the game for half the price of the game online (http://www.emag.ro/joc-just-cause-3-editie-day-1-pentru-pc-eid1010099/pd/DL4LDYBBM/ 133Ron is roughly 30 dollars us) The problem is I don't have a dvd reader in my laptop so I'd have to put the disk in my dads laptop (witch has a dvd reader) , extract the .iso file from the disk and then put it on my laptop, but I don't know if it will work... Do you guys have any idea if it will work? Thanks in advance!
