So, roughly 2 years ago I built my first PC. Here's the PC Part Picker List. Now, there's nothing WRONG with my PC. She runs like a dream, considering I built her from scratch after just a month or so of research and came from a background of only using Macs. However, I've found that the choices I made for this PC aren't exactly the best. I move my PC more than I anticipated, and the case I chose is simply too big to move around as often as I do. Long story short, I want to downsize my case. This wouldn't be that big of an issue if I wasn't insanely picky, aesthetically, and if I hadn't gotten a freakin' Cooler Master V8 GTS CPU cooler. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE how it looks and works. I wanted my rig to be themed red/white/black, and I loved how badass the cooler looked. However, now that I'm trying to downsize, preferably to something mid-tower sized, it's becoming more of a hindrance than anything else. The biggest issue I have is that I live somewhere that doesn't have a lot of stores that sell PC components. I can't simply go into a store and test for myself if my cooler will clear, and so I have to be 100% sure before I order one. I have one local Fry's, and that's it. Now, the cases I'm bouncing around atm are the NZXT S340, S340 Elite, InWin 303 and Phanteks P400. My parameters are: a white case, side panel window, and that it weighs less / is smaller than my current Storm Stryker. ( HWD 23.80" x 9.80" x 22.80" ; 30.20 lbs. ) I'd also not like to break the bank by buying another $150 case - I'm hoping to sell my old case to help offset any costs, but I'm still trying to not spend an arm and a leg, especially since I'll have to buy new fans, since my current Storm Stryker came with fans. My local Fry's supposedly has the InWin 303 in stock, so I'm going to check it out today. But it's also a bit heavier than I would like, so it isn't my first choice. (Plus, the blue lighting on the front would kinda clash with my preferred color scheme.) So, am I just royally screwed unless I give up my beasty cooler? It's been fine for my needs, and I'd rather not get rid of it, but if I have to then of course I will. I've read mixed reviews about the clearance of these cases. For example, this review claims that they could fit into the S340 a cooler that, with fans attached, measures 170mm where mine is ''only'' 167mm. I was hoping maybe people who own these cases could tell me first-hand experiences with height issues? Or maybe there are other cases you'd recommend? Or you can just tell me to suck it up and get a smaller cooler -- perhaps even go for a liquid CPU cooler. Just, keep it civil, okay?

HI again! So that time has come where me and the better half have come to realise that living with a Thermaltake X9 is fantastic if you live in a mansion!. However, living in a normal home it really is annoying. As much as I love the build, the case, the looks and the time I put into it, I just get annoyed at the fact I can't sit against my desk properly, can't get my knees beneath it either. It also restricts what desk we buy so to that end its gonna be getting stripped out and one of the loops is going into my new build! Step aside Thermaltake X9: and into the ring the INWIN 303! I've been thinking of doing this for a while now and I was going to use the Thermaltake View 21, but they aren't planning a white edition and I really don't want to spray another PC case in November/December (in the house, white speckles everywhere!). The case is obviously much much smaller than the X9 so I will be dropping down to one loop for the GPU, CPU and Mobo VRMS. The basic stuff in the PC is getting transferred over, however I can only fit one of the Mayhems Havocs in the case, which will be in the bottom (very snug!). So my new shopping list (all ordered tonight) is: INWIN 303 White Edition - https://www.scan.co.uk/products/in-win-303-mid-tower-computer-chassis-tempered-glass-window-mitx-matx-atx-usb-30-white Crucial MX300 525GB - https://www.scan.co.uk/products/525gb-crucial-mx300-25-ssd-sata-iii-6gb-s-read-530mb-s-write-510mb-s-92k-83k-iops-retail Alphacool XT45 360mm Crossflow (cosmetic reasons) - https://www.scan.co.uk/products/alphacool-nexxxos-xt45-full-copper-x-flow-360mm-copper-chambers-brass-threads-m3-thread-black Braided Sata Cable - https://www.scan.co.uk/products/cablemod-sata-3-cable-30cm-red EKWB 204mm Res tube - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-water-blocks-ek-res-x3-tube-250-204mm-wc-9am-ek.html EKWB White res cap - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ek-water-blocks-ek-res-x3-top-white-wc-835-ek.html So that lot will be added to the current: Intel i7 4790k 32gb Kingston Hyper Fury X Asus RoG Z97 Ranger Samsung 256GB XP941 m.2 SSD Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD Palit 1080 Gamerock Premium with EK Block and Backplate Fractal Design Newton R3 1000w (overkill, but it was white for the X9 build and I had SLI) EK Supremecy 1x Mayhems 360mm Havoc (the other + the Alphacool UT 60 240mm will remain in the X9) 1x EK DDC 140 X-res/pump combo - will spray the bottom housing white Now my last point to ponder is whether to go white or red coolant for the loop.....

Hello Fellow Builders, I wish to show of my most recent build. I call her Emerald Shade as you will probably guess why. Hope you like it! Back Story, for those who wish to read, I saw the InWin 303 case in some of the Computex coverage this last year and I fell in love immediately. But I didn't want to just through my current build in such a beautiful case, so I began to plan. I had dreams of a dual 360 Radiator Water Cooled loop with LED fans and custom cables. The colors hadn't come to me yet but i was searching. I then came across the Corsair LED SP120 fans and wanted the Green LEDs, sorta my favorite color. I then purchased the 303 Case in August on sale but then was patient until I could collect enough funds for cabling and a watercooling loop. I then picked up a EVGA G2 850 as my power supply and green Cable Mod Custom Cables kits and combs (Sadly a few weeks too early for their %20 off sale). Ordered a EK L360 WC kit, additional AquaCool Fittings, and PrimoChill White Tubing. As I mapped out the Tubing and found some difficulties which required multiple trips to the hardware store, I got everything set and ready to install the MoBo etc. but I just couldn't let such a beautiful setup be hindered by a non RGB Video Card, thus I purchased a EVGA 1080 FTW DT. Once the GPU arrived I began transplanting the old into the NEW. Once I had the water loop all buttoned up after finding some leaks from not tightening the fittings properly, this was my first WC build, I Benched the stock performance of the Build so I can have a Gauge on what my gains were when I started OverClocking. I was able to OverClock the 4790k to 4.8Ghz at 1.35v with 3 separate aida64 stress tests of 7+hr. And got my 1080 to 1941mhz with a memory offset of 500mhz. ScreenShot of Benchmark numbers are below. I may provide links to the Official results later. I have noticed, for those still reading, The Corsair Fans are not optimal for this configuration. I do not feel a log of air coming from the rear exhausts which are a honeycomb design. The Case's attic allows for a great deal of heat to swirl around and get "trapped" due to the lack of direct airflow from the Fans which are pushing through a 45mm Rad. Also I am probably going to install an intake fan next to the IO to promote direct airflow on the Motherboard. Future Plans, I do have two EKWB water blocks for the 1080. Why two? well I plan on SLI in March when I upgrade to Kaby Lake with a mATX MoBo because then the lower GPU would be high enough from the Lower Radiator, which I may have to get a thinner (30mm) radiator. Here are my Build Specs CPU: 4790k 4.8ghz 1.35v MoBo: MSI Krait Gaming SLI Mem: Corsair Vengance DDR3 2x8gb 2400mhz GPU: EVGA 1080 FTW DT PSU: EVGA G2 850w Case: InWin 303 Black PC Partpicker Water Cooling Specs: EK L360 Kit: EK-Supremacy MS CPU WaterBlock PE 360 (42mm) radiator ek-XRES 100 DDC 3.1 PWM water pump/res Combo (with X3-150 replacement res) Alpha Cool XT45 360 Rad PrimoChill White Flex tubing 13/10mm EK Compression fittings, Alpha Cool 90* and 45* fittings Imgur Post for more pics Yes that is a drain tube. the Top Radiator is a AlphaCool xt45 360 with 6 possible fitting locations. This allows me to drain and fill with relative ease. Yes i need a real Keyboard now. Benches have the % increase over stock speed, then the average of each. Overall improvement is only from AVG FPS numbers. Old Build and setup, So Yes I added a Desk and extra TV.

Hello, I have just built up my PC in a new Inwin 303 case. I have an EKWB A240 setup and not sure if my case cooling is good enough or how well my radiator will flow. I'm looking for positive air pressure. Currently, I have 2 bottom intake fans and 1 Rear intake fan. as well as 2 exhaust fans on the radiator and the power supply is also exhausting air. thoughts on air flow? Also looking to change all my fans to be the same. However, as the bottom is the intake for this case it seems like all ill be seeing is the rear of the fans. Not too nice.. I have attached my PC image,

Most recent post - Hey Guys n' Gals. I'm in the midst of acquiring parts for a rig update, and seeing as I love watching these builds (and the ones on the YouTubes) take shape I figured it was time to throw my hat in the ring. This is only my third go at this whole PC Master Race thing, so please be gentle. My original build specs can be found here - https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/banana_havoc/saved/X6HXsY Originally this computer found a home in an NZXT Phantom 240 Case, which I had to modify because my beast of an air cooler scratched the acrylic panel going on and off. Swapping to 1/8 Plexi and installing it via allen screws to the exterior of the case classed it up a bit IMO and added a bit of room. But I still wasn't happy with the aesthetic, so it was soon binned for an equally expensive InWin 303 I picked up this Black Friday. The interior of which immediately got a nice coat of gloss white paint to give a little more pop. So eventually here we stand now, a decently quick (for me) AMD FX 8370 based system in a nice case on a nice desk in the space that is soon destined to be an office (aka we had kids and I lost my den...) And well. I had some cash kicking around and I'm already tired of a system I built a year ago. Needless to say, I went Boxing Day shopping. And some new toys entered the stable. For some reason though the 3000 mHz Team Dark ram was cheaper than the 2400 speeds and the Red varient was also cheaper than the grey, seeing as its going to find itself under a spray can, I wasn't overly concerned with the initial colour. There is also an NZXT Hue + and another Enermax TB Vegas fan (for the bottom slot under the fan controller)on the way as well. I held off on the CPU until we hear more on Kaby Lake. Seeing as the motherboard will support it with a BIOS update. if not I'll likely snag a 6700K if its still on sale. A good friend of mine is going to be the proud new owner of my previously mentioned FX-8370, 8 gb of HyperX Fury and MSI 970 Gaming AM3+ mb, and I need that cash to throw at the CPU. And the final build is going to stick to a Silver, White and Black colour scheme. Any suggestions are welcome, though I've been planning much of this pretty much since I finished my first foray into computer building. So far, here is the list as it stands - https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/banana_havoc/saved/JVGJxr Thanks for the interest and I'll toss more up as I get it! -bH

Is this cooler compatible with an inwin 303 case? Like will it fit/have clearance? I’ve been working on an intel build for gaming, editing and streaming. Heres the cooler http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/cpu-cooler/ninja-4.html Here’s the build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/4wP6Bb

Foreword: I decided to upgrade from z97 to x99 recently, and doing so required a new motherboard (duh). I decided to move away from mATX, to a standard ATX form factor, which also meant I had to move out of my Corsair Air 240 (another great case btw) Although I did not manage to make my X99 work (forgot that motherboards still needed a bios update for broadwell-e... oops), I did manage to migrate my old machine into the 303, so I feel like I am proficient enough to review the case. TL;DR: Great looking, great build quality mid tower with great watercooling support for $89 US, apart from the PSU mounting problem that I encountered (may just be my particular unit). To start off, pricing! The 303 is a mid-tower case. Unlike most InWin cases, the 303 comes in at only $89 US, which I feel like is amazing given its build quality - All steel construction except for the glass panel (no sht sherlock). The 303 has a gorgeous big tempered glass side panel, and both side panels are extremely easy to remove, but not so easy that they fall off on their own. The left side panel can be opened by pressing on a latch at the top, and lifting up, while the right side panel is held in place by two captive (Thank you!) thumb screws. The hexagonal pattern on the right side panel serves as ventilation holes as well. The front of the case has power and reset buttons, a pretty big backlit InWin logo, headphone and microphone jacks, and - this might be surprising - despite all usb slots having a blue LED backlight on the side, only two of them are USB 3.0, with the other two being USB 2.0. It would be nice if it was possible to visually differentiate which one's which, but I have to admit, it looks pretty damn nice. The bottom of the case includes a removable fan filter, although from the looks of it, the mesh holes are a bit big to block all the dust, but it should work to a certain degree. There are 7 PCIe expansion slots, compatible with mATX, mITX, and ATX motherboards, three 120 fan mounts at the bottom, one 120 at the back, and three on the top vertically. The three fan mounts and the one at the back are compatible with any radiators 120mm wide. However, from visual inspection, if not using an ATX motherboard, there should be enough room at the bottom to install a slim radiator as well, but don't take my word on it. Despite the power supply behind the fan mounting points, it is possible to mount a third fan on the top - you just have to install the fan before you install the power supply (duh), and there is a small metal extrusion that prevents the power supply from going right up against the fan mount panel. However, it is worth noting that due to the unusual top fan orientation, it may be a bit troublesome for AIO coolers, as the distance from the CPU socket to the top mounting points are a bit long. However, while we're here, I do have to mention that my power supply did not want to screw in. The mounting holes on the case are about 1-2 mm too high to reach the screw-down points on the PSU. Currently I only have one screw in the correct location, and another screw severely lopsided. (EDIT: I did fix this later by taking a file to it, and judging by the other review on newegg, this might be a common problem. ) Now that we got the (only) issue out of the way, lets move on. The back of the case includes a pretty big cpu cutout, big enough to mount any cooler backplate with ease. However, there weren't any convenient cable tie-down points. However, thanks to the dual chamber design (just like my old Corsair Air 240), and extremely well placed cable routing holes, this wasn't too big of an issue. However, when available, stuff the majority of the cable in the bottom half of the cable management room, so that airflow from the top fans are not obstructed. As for drive support, there are two 2.5" drive trays at the front side, very visible through the glass panel. In addition, they are conveniently placed such that the sata cables can be directly routed to the back of the case, which has a nice aesthetic. There are two more 3.5" drive trays at the back, which are also compatible with 2.5" drives. There are dedicated mounting spots for custom watercooling radiators right beside the front SSD mounts as well, and I am considering building another custom water loop couple years down the line. In conclusion, the InWin 303 is a great case for its price, and I can foresee myself keeping this case throughout system upgrades. What do you guys think? Both of my review and the 303. (My first review I've written, sorry for the poor structure) EDIT: Here's a more realistic representation of the front panel lighting:
