The system would more or less be used for Unity development (top down 2D (3D background assets)/ some 3D development, plenty of shaders and lighting) for the next few years, general compiling and of course gaming (bg3 etc). Right now I'm looking at a cpu heavy system and a 4070 with 32gb of ram but im wondering what you would recommend. I'm also interested as to what cpu would be better since UK pricing is very strange 13900k / 14900k or a 7950x3D (all more or less the same price £5-10 difference between them) Thanks for any help in advance, Lex.

I am only planning to buy a new Mainboard, CPU and RAM, Modular Power supply and Case (one with good airflow) and I would like to get some suggestions on what parts to buy. I want to upgrade to a 13 gen Intel (DDR5) or AM5 but i can not decide which one i should get. If you guys could also suggest a modular power supply (700-900W) it would be a great help. I started a holiday job this month and I am estimating a 1200€ paycheck at the end of march so the chosen items do not have to be available right now.

Should I go with the ryzen 5 1500X or the Intel core i5 7500? I plan on editing video, gaming and rendering. Where I live the Ryzen is around $30 cheaper

Hey there! I was planning to build a budget PC which could handle some(very casual) video editing in After Effects and animation. I would also like some 1080p gaming(obviously at high if it can). Although, preference is the everyday performance, like how snappy and quick the system is- I can compromise at gaming. I am confused between i3-7100 with GTX 1050 or just i5-7500. Which one will be ideal for me? I also have an AMD config in my mind- Ryzen 3 1200 with GT 1030. All three with 8 gigs of RAM.Thanks in advance!

Hello, I am looking forward to building a new PC for myself. I'll mainly do Illustrator, Photoshop and some lite blender modelling. Even if I game, it'll be low 1080p but that's not my main focus. I am from Bangladesh, very few parts actually ship here. I can't decide whether to go for- 1. An i3-8100 on Gigabyte B360M DS3H paired with 1050Ti OC - 4GB and Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400MHz 4GBx2 which in total would cost me 43500BDT or 2. A Ryzen 5 2400g on Gigabyte B450M DS3H with Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200MHz 8GBx2 which in total would cost me 39500BDT. (no 3200MHz 4GB sticks available here.) Now can anyone help me choose? I may upgrade my build with a 1060 6gb a few months later.

Hi! After a long while I've decided its time to upgrade from my Old i3-2100 and GTX 750Ti to something better. The options in the market which I can afford is the Ryzen 5 1600 and the Intel i5 8500 + Intel Optane Memory and a GTX 1060 3GB with a B350 or B360 Motherboard respectively. I'm from Bangladesh and here the prices are quite steep and my build Budget is around 77,000 BDT which is US $911 at current exchange rate Only planning to use SSD for boot drive. For the rest of stuff I'll be using HDD. Prices for the CPU Ryzen 5 1600 - 15,000 BDT which is equivalent to US $177.42 Or, Intel i5 8500 - 17,200 BDT which is equivalent to US $203.44 Intel Optane M.2 16GB - 4000 BDT which is equivalent to US $47.31 Also, the GTX 1060 3GB is priced at 24,000 BDT which is equivalent to US $284 I'll be using the PC for Gaming, Editing in Premiere and Photoshop, a bit of Music Production and lastly watching Linus's Beautiful Face I want the PC to be a bit future proof as in an upgrade path so than i can Upgrade later on if i need to. Do you guys think that Optane Memory is a good deal to make an Intel Build? After seeing the results of the performance enhancement using optane my mind is bamboozled and I'm again confused about the two options. But, seems like Ryzen will allow me to Upgrade till 2020 with the same Chipset with Bios Updates. Both Options are pretty tempting. Can Ya'll tell me something which can finalise my decision!. Sorry for troubling as I've been waiting a while to build a new system and I don't want to regret if you know what I mean. I am currently running a FX-6300 Black Edition on a Sabertooth 990FX V2.0. I have just installed a 980Ti GPU and my UEFI is now popping up warning messages that my CPU temp is exceeding 65C wile gaming which is beyond the normal operating range of 50-60C for Piledriver architecture. So I have decided to switch to a closed loop cooling solution. My thinking is that if I am going to switch cooling solutions anyway, with the FX-9590 at $229 USD would it be worth it to upgrade the CPU as well? This computer is currently used for School, Gaming, and I am trying to set up a webcast. Should I stick with what I have, up grade the CPU, or wait for the next generation of hardware, and most importantly.... WHY? Thanks

I'm looking to build a PC for video editing and also be able to stream my gameplay from my console to twitch. I'm not much of a PC guy so I don't know to much about CPU's and well I was leaning towards an i7-5820k because I feel like that's the better brand but now I'm thinking about the AMD FX-8350 only because it has 8 cores which I hear more cores are better for video editing. I can't really afford to buy a more expensive CPU than the i7-5820k, so I'm stuck between those two. So if anyone can help me determine which one is better for my PC needs or if anyone has another suggestion please let me know and thanks for the help.

hey guys, i was wondering if i can get your opinions on building a new computer for $800. im looking for the biggest bang for the buck and maybe a little "future proof" (i hate to call it that, but i would like something that can be easily upgradeable in the future as well as good specs for current gaming) i dont do much hardcore gaming like far cry or anything but i would like something that minecraft wont lag on (JK) the games i play are world of tanks, minecraft, runescape, need for speed rivals, call of duty. and thats pretty much it. im new to this building process, i know how to put it together, but the part im having an issue with choosing the right components that fit into my budget. im looking to pay anywhere within $800-$900 build. let me know if you need any additional information. and thanks ahead of time! -sorce
