I have an i5 7200U with intel hd 620. Im buying a new monitor. I can squeeze every drop of fps possible from games and get 60-ish. even if my performance goes up, i will improve the graphics quality and bring it down to 60-ish. im not interested in fps above it in games. Should I invest in a monitor with 75Hz if im not gonna use 75fps in games? Will it be worth it for general use of the pc or for watching videos or anything? Im gonna be running linux for max performance and will play Minecraft. If 75hz is not needed, ill get a 60Hz monitor itself.

I'm setting up a real chill PC for my just to browse the web an such. I used spare components such as an old ASUS Z-170A I had laying around but when i tried to use a spare Intel i5 6600k i had in that MoBo setup it had a bent corner and wasn't booting up turning rhe MemOK redlight ON (ps. ram sticks are totally fine). I bought this Pentium CPU to use instead. It seems to start up just fine, no error lights in the board, but the screen never shows any menu. I've read that having used the motherboard with a GPU in the past could be making weird things with it.

I recently got a new monitor and the HDMI ports on my 3060 are taken. I want to use the HDMI port on my motherboard and I remember hearing something about how you could extend your GPU display through the motherboard and was wondering if I could do that. I'm pretty sure my CPU doesn't have integrated graphics. Hello, I'm another one having the problems with quest 2 and laptops. after connecting and setting up the oculus/meta software together with a link cable, everything worked. my quest 2 showed up as connected with no problems. but if you try to activate air-link or something similar, then it gets stuck on the loading screen. after some searching the solution was simple: Disable the internal graphics card via the device manager. and it worked. i got into steam vr and it was running pretty smoth. until i opened vrchat for testing. in there i only got a stable 12 fps. not more not less. i changed every graphic settings i could think of (steam vr, vr chat, oculus ) but my framerate was stuck at 12FPS no matter how high or low i set the resolution. the cable is working properly (2.1Gbits in Oculus cable testing). maybe its the backround (laptop screen, windows) that is taking all the power from the GPU but its just a guess. anybody an idea of what could it be ? I have a computer with Ryzen 3200G CPU and no dedicated GPU. I want to upgrade it with a GPU. I know it works together but does it make a difference. will performance be better than just the dedicated GPU or just the same. I don't want to waste money on a GPU, if it will make minimal difference. so I would like to know how much difference it is if you combine dedicated and integrated graphics. thank you for answers in advance.

Hi, I wanted to ask if anyone knows if the integrated graphics in the Ryzen 5 5600G can run games such as GTA Online. If anyone has an idea if it will work, or maybe existing benchmarks, that would be greatly appreciated. Hey, I have a small problem with my Egpu Laptop config, I recently got a Dell Latitude 5320 from work and bought a used Razer Core X and GTX 1080 for it. The problem is that when I connect the Egpu to the laptop it does not automatically turn off the Iris XE integrated graphics which causes severe lag in games and on the desktop. In order to fix this I always manually need to disable the Integrated Graphics in Device Manager. How do I make it so that I do not have to manually turn the Integrated Graphics on and off ? Here links to all components used : Laptop: https://www.dell.com/de-de/work/shop/2-in-1-laptops/latitude-5320/spd/latitude-13-5320-2-in-1-laptop/s005l532013deat GPU : Inno3d Ichill Herculez x3 GTX 1080 (Couldn't find the official website) Egpu: https://www.razer.com/de-de/gaming-egpus/razer-core-x/RC21-01310200-R351 Thanks for any advice in adavance

My coworkers are using 3rd gen i3's for their workstation and some are interested in running a triple monitor. According to Intel's support pages, it should be possible. Is there a CPU/resolution limitation? For one of my coworkers, here's how I configured it: 2x DVI to DisplayPort on a 1280x1024 Dell monitor 1x VGA on 1920x1080 Lenovo monitor It doesn't seem to work, however. I extend to one display, and one of the montors stops working. I tried with Intel's Graphics Control Panel, and the 3rd monitor doesn't show. Pre-COVID, he was able to use triple monitor, but I can't recall if it was before using a Lenovo monitor with webcam or before I swapped his desktop (same 3rd gen i3+8GB RAM). Drivers are also up-to-date (which I made sure of last year when most are working from home). I now have another coworker who's interested in doing it with (not sure about the cable configuration): 2x 1920x1080 ASUS monitor 1x 1366x768 Dell monitor P.S. their interest came from me, I think. However, I got a Coffee Lake i7 + 32GB RAM with 3x 1080p.

Hi guys, just opened my i5-6200u laptop for a re-paste, and noticed that the integrated graphics heat spreader has no thermal compound, and doesn't even make contact with the copper heat pipe/heatsink. Anyone know why that is? I've applied some and sealed her up, but just wondering what you guys would have done in my position. Thanks!

So, I'm trying to use Lunar Client but it keeps on telling me that I can't launch because Lunar Client Launch Error "Short: Pixel format launch fail Description: Your computer appears to have incorrect video card drivers. Hello everyone, I just had my Asus TUF A15 Gaming laptop for my college. (i needed a powerfull laptop for it but also wanted a laptop to game on it) I have a 3070 max-q laptop gpu, ryzen 7 5800H and 16 gb of 3200Mhz of ram. Every time I boot up a game like Minecraft, COD or CS:GO it switches to my integrated graphics of my CPU. Tried to change that to just disable the integrated graphics in the device manager. But still it doesn't fully switch to my GPU. Then I looked into the display settings and saw that my display runs on the integrated graphics. (see most left picture) And when I turn of the integrated graphics i switches to a Microsoft Basic Display Driver. (see right picture) I tried to disable the integrated graphics to go into the software of AMD but couldn't find it. I tried to disable it in the bios, didn't work. I looked around in the nvidia control pannel, didn't work. Looked into the software of Asus self, didn't work. I am out of idea's for this so that's why I ask you guys. Thank you for your time :-) and hopefully this helpes others too.

So I'm going to be building a new PC and after I install windows 10 home and update it what drivers do I need from the motherboard website and cpu website? I understand I need to download drivers, but which ones do I download the windows 10 64bit and the most recent from each category under drivers? Do I need to download anything from utility and if the pc is working well I wont look to change any bios updates. I understand AMD has its own software for the cpu drivers so I could just use their auto detecting software for that I think. Also will I even need to download these drivers if windows updates everything? A few people mentioned this, but I'm not so sure. I'm going to be using the built in wifi since there is no ethernet cable as well. Please explain which drivers I would need for the motherboard in an individual list if possible, Thanks. PC Specs: Motherboard: B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI (rev. 1.0) The ITX motherboard https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/B450-I-AORUS-PRO-WIFI-rev-10/support#support-dl-driver CPU: Ryzen 3 3200g Ram: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz Storage: Silicon Power 512GB NVMe M.2 PSU: Corsair CX Series 450 Watt 80 Plus Bronze Certified Modular Power Supply Case: NZXT H210

so my soon to be brother in-law has told me, and I trust him, that even if a cpu says it doesn't support integrated graphics, it acually will, just at a lower fps, I am coming here asking because google has been no help and I know most of the people if not all know what they are doing here. If anybody knows if I can at least set up my settings and bios and stuff without a gpu, please help, I am going to be using a ryzen 5 3600 6 core cpu. please help me, this is my first build, also my mobo does support integrated graphics, its a tuf x570 plus wifi.

hey there please help. I need to buy a laptop for work (remote, mostly done via chrome, tons of tabs though) and probably light gaming. Im mostly looking for one with decent integrated graphics, or one with a low end dedicated graphic (probably mx series), because of budget. Actually I have some laptops (both brand new and secondhand) I have my eyes on, but idk if the value/performance is actually good, so please gime me your opinion. Also Im in Indonesia, so if you give suggestion on a specific type of a laptop, we might not have it here or the price might not really be in my budget on indonesian stores. here's the the laptop that I think is cheap for the spec: 1. Lenovo Slim 5i i5 1135G7 Iris Xe 16gb(max)/512gb ssd - 7,3m IDR (490 USD) new 2. MSI Modern 14 - i5 10210u mx250 2gb 16gb(max)/128gb ssd - for 6,7m IDR (450 USD) secondhand 3. Lenovo Slim 3i i5 1135G7 Iris Xe 12gb(max)/512gb ssd touch - 7,4m IDR (~500 USD) new 4. Dell Inspiron 15 3511 1135G7 Iris Xe 8gb(upgradeable)/256gb ssd 15,6" touch - 8,2m IDR (~550 USD) new 5. Asus Vivobook Flip Ryzen 5 5500u 8gb/256gb ssd touch - 7,4m IDR (500 USD) secondhand 6. Lenovo V14 G2 i3 1115G4 MX350 2gb 12gb(max)/256 ssd - 7,6m IDR (510 USD) new 7. Asus Expertbook i3 1005G1 MX330 2gb 8gb(upgradeable)/256 ssd - 6,4m IDR (439 USD) new 8. Acer Swift 5 i5 1135G7 Iris Xe 8gb(max soldered)/256gb ssd touch - 5,9m IDR (~400 USD) secondhand, hairline crack on the corner. I was actually gunning for the acer swift (because it was around 900 USD new, looks good, probably built good and I dont have problem even if the touch broke since I dont use one) until I found out that the ram was not upgradeable. I actually want a device that can last me at least the next three years so Im not sure if 8gb would suffice. Can someone enlighten me on which to choose or if I need to go look for more AMD stuff. I didn't particularly look for AMD because here, most still sell a brand new ryzen 3000 series laptops instead of the newer ones.

Hello, I can't decide which is the better option. The PC is going to be used for general tasks, music software, maybe some gaming. Option 1: Only with an iGPU: Intel Core i5-11600K (3.9GHz) Option 2: With a CPU and a GPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500 (3.6GHz) GIGABYTE GeForce GT 1030 2GB OC The motherboard will be changed depending on the chosen option. What to choose? (The price of the two options is the same)

BUDGET : 1300 (BGN) = 665 (USD) Country: Bulgaria Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: General tasks, Editing, Music engineering BUILD WITH GPU: CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (3.6GHz) GPU - ASRock Radeon RX 6400 MOTHERBOARD - MSI MAG A520M PSU - Gigabyte P550B Bronze 550W RAM - 2 X 4GB DDR4 3200 Transcend SSD - 256GB SSD ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro HDD - 1TB Seagate Barracuda CASE - Zalman N5 MF MONITOR - ASUS VZ249HEG1R BUILD WITH CPU WITH INTEGRATED GRAPHICS: The only difference is that there is only an iGPU instead of a CPU and a GPU CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G The build is exceeding the budget but it's not a big deal. We aim approximately around this price. Which is the better config?

Hi everyone, I'm building my first pc, and i have a limited budget for now. TLDR Question: Is the 12600k integrated graphics Overkill/enough for 1080p 60fps gaming? I'm going for this build: - i5-12600K (with motherboard for 449€) - Gigabyte B660 Gaming X DDR4 - 2x Vengeance RGB PRO SL 8go 3200 C16 80€ (non-RGB is just 8€ away) - MSI Mag Coreliquid 240R V2 AIO (~120€) - MSI Mag Forge 100M ~80€ - MSI MPG A750GF ~80€ - I have a SATA 500gb SSD already When my budget gets less tight I would like to get a RTX3060 to RTX3070 gpu or 4000/RX6000/RX7000 equivalent if the money comes later. (I'm a minor so I can only work in the summer) What I already know: - PSU is overkill, but I don't want to buy another when i get my gpu - I can have 12600 non K for 50€ less, almost the same prices for 12400 and 12500 - AIO isn't cheap but i don't know what to look for with air coolers PC Usage: - Mainly Games (for now minecraft because i'm limited by my current PC but I would want to expand to other games (Valorant maybe, Subnautica, Valheim, Fall Guys, Civ VI, Ark if possible)). I would like to have 60fps in 1080p - Internet things (youtube, netflix, ...) - Some coding but my current pc is not limiting it Questions: - Is the cpu enough/overkill for 1080p 60fps in the games cited before? - Will I gain a lot for going with 12400F and 2060/1650/6500XT (something i could afford if i stretch a litlle) Here is my shopping site, it has some of the best prices in France according to tech influencers (prices fluctuate so there are 3/4 sites to have good prices): https://www.rueducommerce.fr/

Hey there, I'm building a pc and as the title says I'm stuck in front of a black screen. The motherboard cycles through the debug leds normally, however it gets stuck on boot and I tried reaching the BIOS but no matter what I'm not getting any signal. Also, I'm using a TV as screen. I'm thankful to every idea.
