  1. Hey , im having some grounding issues, my case shocks me a lot of times and i have gigantic input lag and the mouse feels floaty and i tried everything you can imagine but didn´t change the case. The case doesnt have the hd audio neither the usb conectors, im just using the front panel conectors, the standoffs seem a little funky and pc is very unstable, even with tests in aida64 and prime95. Could a case actually be a bottleneck for a pc? Since its not in good conditions. Thanks in advance. PS: Could the bad case actually affect the grounding in the whole pc?
  2. Bought and built this PC brand new in July and right from the get go I have been experiencing input lag. The input lag can be felt not just in games but casual use as well. I had a previous build with a RTX 2070 and had no issues with the monitor. This could possibly be an issue with the adaptive sync since the FPS im getting in game doesn't correlate with the monitor frequency at all. For example when running Fortnite at low settings capped at 180 and getting %1 lows of 165 but the monitors frequency is bouncing between 165Hz and 100Hz. The PC runs perfect. Here is what I did in hopes of fixing the input lag: - Re-installed GPU drivers - Bought DP 1.4 cable (I had a 1.2 previously) - Re-installed Windows - Adaptive Sync is on AMD optimized in Adrenaline - Tried Anti Lag is on in Adrenaline - Running on 165Hz (usually run it on 144Hz) - Enhanced sync is not on in Adrenaline - Tried HDMI @144Hz to no avail Any thoughts of why there is input lag other than the monitor being faulty and how it can be fixed? Is this an issue that occurs after a display gets older? Thanks
  3. UPDATE: Should say I'm not completely convinced the issue is (strictly) input lag/delay any more, based on my testing. Seems like it could potentially be described as inconsistency as well. I primarily play Destiny 2, and have noticed input/display lag, and am assuming it has been there ever since I built this PC (late 2019, my first PC). I installed CS:GO during troubleshooting and the lag exists there too, and most if not all things listed below apply to it as well. Best way to describe it is it feels like VSync (I’ve always had this lag, I think, so obviously that may not be entirely accurate, but best as I can tell, that’s how it feels), mouse feels kinda heavy, feels like other players have much better reaction times (my reaction time is around 180ms (according to Aimtastic), so not too bad, but is this with the lag??). Makes it very hard to use precision weapons on any sort of moving target. Even moving targets with predictable paths can be really hard, since I effectively have to pre-fire every shot. I know something is off because I accidentally (removing the possibility of placebo) eliminated the lag when running a fps benchmark before upgrading my CPU (GPU already upgraded at this point). What I did was immediately on PC startup jumped into a PvP match, had all fps caps off, G-Sync on, set Destiny to Real-time priority in Task Manager, and had a custom resolution on Windows (had refresh rate set to 120hz in Settings, G-Sync would override to 144hz for Destiny). The game was super smooth and snappy, it was extraordinarily easy to aim (and I’m cold at this point), and felt like my reaction time was on par with other players. This would only last for around a half/whole game, then the input lag would come back. Without G-Sync on, and most of the time without priority set to Real-time or High, I could not get the lag to go away. If I exited the game and restarted after a few minutes and followed the steps above, the lag would seem to go away (for a half/whole game). I can’t tell if the lag comes back gradually or suddenly. Things I found that seem important: Turning off GeForce Experience Instant Replay seemed to get rid of some ‘micro stutter’ (144fps felt rough, like it wasn’t actually 144fps). The only time this was on and the game felt smooth was when I was able to eliminate the lag, which seems really strange. I can’t completely confirm this, definitely could be placebo, so take this with a grain of salt. Disabling fullscreen optimizations (with the help of the custom resolution? Details in '(Most) things I have tried') and having Instant Replay off is the best I have gotten the system to be. It is still pretty bad, but definitely feels better. Possible this is just the added benefit of exclusive fullscreen. Removing the lag only seems to be possible with G-Sync active, I’ve tried multiple times without G-Sync and it didn’t seem to fix the lag. Where I am right now: Very recently, I freshly reinstalled Windows (using the Reset this PC setting in Windows) and cleaned the drive. I’ve only installed Nvidia Drivers (to get Nvidia Control Panel), Steam, Destiny 2, and Discord. Overlays are off, Xbox stuff is off, using a custom resolution and G-Sync, disabled fullscreen optimizations, second monitor (75hz one) is disconnected, the 1tb drive is disconnected, VSync off in CP and Destiny. The issue still persists and is still only ‘fixable’ by setting the game to Real-time priority. (Most) things I have tried: Upgraded the CPU and GPU Made sure VSync is off in Nvidia Control Panel and in Destiny 2 settings (and tried various combinations of on/off/use application) Disabled fullscreen optimizations (seemed to work on my RX480 (game would take over screen), but possibly not the 3060 Ti (game would act like nothing changed)) Changed the resolution (through Nvidia Control Panel) but kept Destiny’s resolution the same as the monitors, in an attempt to force fullscreen optimizations off and give Destiny control of the screen Changed my mouse’s polling rate from 1000hz to 500hz (have not tried 250hz yet) Disconnected the 75hz monitor (have not tried the 75hz monitor as main yet) Turned on/off G-Sync Disabled overlays (Xbox, Steam, GeForce Experience) Turned of Xbox recording Turned off Game Mode Turned off GeForce Experience recording (this seemed to eliminate some issues with rough frames at high rates, possibly cleaned up frame times) Uninstalled GeForce Experience Checked latencies with LatencyMon (everything looks fine, old CPU did have some high latencies) Used FrameView to try and find issues, nothing found Checked my home power, it looks fine Changed Destiny’s resolution Checked temps (nothing that has a temperature sensor goes above 78 degrees last I checked, and everything except CPU and GPU stay at or below 60 degrees) Disconnected the 1tb hard drive Reinstalled Windows 10 and wiped everything multiple times A couple things I still need to try: Keep attempting to remove the lag without G-Sync on Use the 75hz monitor instead of the 144hz Set mouse polling rate to 250hz Any ideas for things I can try/possible causes based on the symptoms? There is a chance setting the game to Real-time/High priority is just too good to maintain, and I could just be that bad, but I can't see how that makes much sense... Check my post below for details, but I disabled the HD Audio Controller in the BIOS and that seems to have fixed the issue. UPDATE 2: Disabling the HD Audio Controller did not fix the issue. It did seem like it helped the system's lag a little in general, and it did help for at least that first restart, but after that, I can't tell if it slowly degraded or just reverted back. The way I found out (since it still felt better than it did before) was I had just stopped streaming (with GeForce Experience, had reinstalled it for a tournament), and the first game (immediately after) felt super responsive, really easy to aim and hit targets. Other games after that seemed to degrade a bit, but hard to tell. Since then, I have done quite a bit of testing. I'm not going to go into big details (unless someone wants them), but I've set IRQ (Interrupt Request) priorities (GPU first, then USB controller with my keyboard and mouse. Tried System Timer first as well), I've disabled HPET, re-enabled the HD Audio controller and disabled it again, tried less sketchy keyboards, removed my PCI-e WiFi card, uninstalled Nvidia's GPU audio device, and probably a couple other things I can't remember right now. Most of these changes seem to 'fix' the system for a time (usually until the system is restarted), but then it system feel will revert back, but often seem to be slightly improved over the previous configuration. UPDATE 3: For one, there is a setting in Destiny 2's cvars file that helped, 'mouse_smoothing_mode'. This was set to 2, setting it to 0 helped improve my aim a fair bit, even with the display lag issue present. The other thing is, I figured something out. Hesitant to say this was the issue, but it is something. I was looking through some PC optimization guides (mainly this one) and saw one that mentioned 'Power management mode' in the Nvidia Control panel. Obviously, for performance, this should be set at 'Prefer maximum performance'. I was very confident I had that set correctly already, since I've had people ask if my power settings were on max, but I decided to check. Guess what. It was on 'Normal'. I went ahead and set that to 'Prefer maximum performance', and opened Destiny 2, and guess what? The game felt really snappy, it was easy to aim, all that good stuff. All was well, until I rebooted. Hopped into a game, and it didn't feel as good anymore. I got curious and changed the 'Power management mode' in Nvidia Control Panel again, to Normal, then back to 'Prefer maximum performance' (or something like that, don't quite remember). Game back to feeling snappy and good. I then found this guide (can't confirm lack of language) This guy edited program settings for dwm.exe (Desktop Windows Manager) and File Explorer, both major services in Windows. This could be why the power settings didn't continue to improve performance after a reboot. Another thing to note, after making all these changes, I was tabbed out of the game (I'm playing in Exclusive Fullscreen) for a bit (couple minutes or something), and the game felt slow again. Something seemed to have overridden the power management setting. Gonna have to mess with this some more, maybe see if other programs have overridden power management settings in Control Panel, but it is a step in the right direction. Definitely way easier and more effective to improve the systems performance, better then the temporary effect of setting the game to Realtime priority in Task Manager. UPDATE 4: Again, hesitant to say this is the solution, but I have had huge success replicating a 'normal' system by doing this, much more so than the other 'solutions' above. So the power management option was not working consistently. It would usually work, but seemed to fall off after like 10 minutes, which was weird, so I went searching for more solutions. I found another PC optimization guide on YouTube (again, can't confirm lack of language) I was going through it, desperately hoping to come across something that might help and doing a couple of the steps he suggested that I hadn't done yet, when I got to 13:10 (The chapter 'how to reduce stuttering in destiny 2') in the video. Here he mentioned that in Bungie's official post about technical issues regarding the Beyond Light expansion, Bungie said one of the reasons Destiny 2 was running so poorly was because of different audio formats. The recommended to change the audio format to CD quality (16bit, 44100Hz). Remember, a while ago I disabled the HD Audio Controller on my motherboard and that seemed to help. I did what he suggested, and boom, game was feeling good, smooth, and snappy, but this only lasted for 10-20 minutes (again...). So I eventually started researching audio issues on any other games, and found a Blur Busters forum post saying audio was causing stutter, and just muting audio in Windows fixed the problem. So I tried that, but it didn't work for Destiny 2. I wasn't expecting it to, based on the audio format change suggesting above, it seemed like Destiny takes more control of the audio device. So I went with my plan B, uninstalled all the audio devices from Device Manager (under 'Audio inputs and outputs' and 'Sound, video, and game controllers' (or similar, the names seem to be slightly different between devices I have)). This worked. And it works over a long period of time, too. One thing to note, you most likely will have to uninstall at least Nvidia's sound devices from Task Manager after a restart, mine would come back, probably because it would get reinitialized and it was the only audio device still active (I unplugged my headset and have the HD Audio Controller disabled in BIOS). I'm also a bit concerned that this repeated uninstalling is what is helping the game to work better (seeing as other changes seem to have the possibility of making the game feel good while they are still enabled), but don't think that is the case, based on what I'm seeing. Now, I haven't attempted to add my headset back yet, so I have been playing without audio. I need to see if just adding the headset back will work, or if I need to try using Corsair drivers/software (I have a Corsair HS60), but this seems to be a big step in the right direction. UPDATE 5: This is a very brief summary. If you want/need more info and I haven't updated this yet, let me know. So having the headset disconnected/uninstalled usually did the same thing as before, 'fix' the lag for a short time, then it would reappear. But I realized almost all (if not all) of the fixes affected PCI Express. I also realized the 'rough FPS' might actually be due to my mouse (or rather, the USB controller) not getting info to the CPU fast enough. After trying to manipulate the three USB controllers on my motherboard, I bought a USB PCIe card, and that (so far, haven't tested it for very long) seems to be helping a lot. 100% is smoother, and we'll see what happens.
  4. I have really bad input lag that can last between 1-5 seconds for only two specific games: Apex Legends and Valorant. It seems to happen randomly and I cannot find any rhyme or reason for it to occur during gameplay. I'm not sure what the cause could be but I've done a few of the typical troubleshooting tips such as updating graphics drivers and lowering/ adjusting settings in-game. Regardless of if I run high or low settings (v-sync is always turned off) I still get input lag. 5. Hey, I'm having a really hard time with my high end computer and I can't find any solution for almost half a year. So, I had a PC that I build in September 2021 (MSI RTX 3080, Ryzen 7 5800X, 32gb of ram, X570 motherboard, 2x m.2 ssd, 360mm aio, 850W power supply, 2x high refresh rate monitors) everything was fine from the start, no input lag, no delay, no mouse/keyboard problem, until one day in March this year, I woke up from a night shift, turned on the PC and noticed that my mouse and keyboard feels weird when moving around in desktop / games and when typing (bad mouse responsiveness in games when moving my mouse, like it's really slow, floaty, not accurate, delay when looking around in games), I tried everything, reinstalling windows multiple times, changing every hardware (components, peripherals), changing ISP, moving to another house and nothing helped. So I sold that PC thinking that there was some sort of a problem that I just couldn't figure out. Then I build a second PC with all new parts that are listed below, except PSU and monitors, hoping everything will be fixed, but it didn't fix anything at all. It's still there and I'm out of ideas.. I'm playing csgo competitively on high level, so I have some muscle memory and I know how the game and mouse should feel, but now when I'm trying to click on something with this input lag/delay it's like I've never used my mouse before.. and when this problem occured I can't play ANY games because it's so unresponsive. It also feels like I'm playing on low refresh rate and low fps when this input lag/delay kicks in even tho I have stable FPS and 144hz. The input lag, floatyness and other stuff is even more noticeable WHEN installing windows 10 and it is also happening in BIOS. Also, I have a 850W power supply, and when I did that power supply calculator thingy from outervision website, the recommended PSU wattage for my new PC build is 585W which is odd because on the Gigabyte GPU website the recommended PSU is 750W.. and then I tried another calculator from newegg, the recommended PSU wattage there was 800-899 W. So I'm thinking that even when my PSU has 850W it is somehow not efficient enough to power my components(?) or there is some problem with PSU that I can't figure out. I didn't try to replace my monitor and PSU with another because I have no option to do so right now. And also I want to upgrade to 1000W PSU and see if it makes any difference. New pc: CPU - Ryzen 9 5900X GPU - Gigabyte RTX 3080 VISION RAM - 2x16GB @ 3600MHz MB - Gigabyte B550 VISION D-P Cooler - Asus ROG STRIX LC II 280 AIO PSU - Gigabyte AORUS P850W 80+ GOLD (not replaced) Storage - 500GB of M.2 (I have another 1TB M.2 SSD laying around which I replaced with this 500GB one) Monitor - ZOWIE by BenQ XL2411P @ 144hz (DisplayPort) (not replaced) 3x 120mm case fan 2x 140mm case fan Windows 10 64bit BIOS Version - F15d, 7/20/2022 Chipset drivers are up to date Nvidia driver is up to date
  6. I have a razer cynosa v2. wwhen i do this test https://blog.seethis.link/scan-rate-estimator/ all i could get was 41ms with 24hz is that okay? i Kinda feel a delay on my keyboard. i dont know if its just my brain thinking like that but is 42ms noticable when it comes to input lag.? and what would causes inpout lag
  7. TLDR at the bottom I’ll spare you most of the details. Reddit has been very little to zero help. Google is sparse but there is enough info there to get me started. There is nothing all in one place. I play rocket league and there is a “myth” about something called “heavy car bug”. It’s basically just describing input lag. It’s 100% real and I can pretty much reproduce it if I want. There is a lot to speak about but as I said, I’ll spare you details. There is a YT channel by a Reddit user called halfwaydead. He is a really great hardworking guy who has made it his mission to delved into the science of the game. He recently put out a video related to controllers and which ones have the lowest input lag etc. he de-listed the video after a week though because there were some anomalies with the DS4 controller that he couldn’t figure out. He then did some of the tests on his friends PC, and the testing was fine. They figured out that certain USB ports on Ryzen motherboards go straight to the CPU, but other ones are routed through some mobo chipset controller. And it adds lag and problems. MSI actually showed up in his comments section and acknowledged it and said they are working on it. Legends for doing so. I have an ASRock X470 board and cannot find out what ports of mine might be messed up like his. But, my controller actually feels good where I have it now so I’m not messing with it. all this has lead me to random tech sites, and Reddit. Reading things about HPET, system timers, Bus sharing, latencymon, Nvidia driver conflicts blah blah blah. It’sa list as long as.... you know. The main thing I’ve seen is this. Ryzen CPUs handle USB differently than Intel CPUs? And that Ryzen CPU mixed with Nvidia GPU is a bad combination? I don’t know enough about computers to know if that’s correct, it’s just what I’ve seen. It’s why I’m here. Apparently some music producers are aware of Ryzen latency problems? Basically I get inconsistent performance from the game. Some days IT FEELS SO DAMN GOOD!!!!! Teammates compliment me, want to party up with me, we go on big win streaks, I win the ball all the time and score outlandish angle shots etc. Other days it’s like my car has chains on it. Slow, can’t move fluid, teammates hate me etc. there is a controller overclock program some of us use, I’m sure you guys know about it. Well sometimes my controller will accept the OC perfectly fine, but other says it won’t. Some USB ports work one day, but then they won’t work the next day. there is a huge ghost in my machine and no one believes me, very few. They all just say “Get gud”. I have 2k+ hours in the game. I know what it feels like between good and bad boot ups. On bad boots, I cannot win. Using the same strategies I would use on winning days. I just can’t get to the ball fast enough, can’t turn tight enough, can’t kill the opponent when I normally would etc. Ive tried the controller WITHOUT Ds4 windows software and it’s dog water. DS4 windows makes everything a lot better. But there’s still inconsistencies somewhere. Ive tried so many things I won’t list more. Tons of stuff. I just haven’t played on an Intel CPU lmao. Also have not tried Xbox controller. Only DS4. Some one said “I think Microsoft sends out updates that fuck up any non Xbox controllers from time to time!” Lol, that’s a bit too far to me. But I get their feelings. TLDR: Does Ryzen really have an input lag/USB/Nvidia/Ds4 problem ?
  8. HELP HELP HELP!!! Good morning, To be short I game on my pc using a Razer Wolverine controller and have one of the newer BENQ monitors. I have an i9 10900 K CPU and a ASUS Tuff 3090 GPU 32 GB 3200 DDR4 Corsair RAM and 3 Samsung Evo M.2 SSDs I have tried everything to try and resolve this issue, I have recently seen that a faulty PSU or electrical issues could cause input lag and to be honest my build has been changed and upgraded with the exception of my PSU that is the only part that has not be swapped out and it is going on 4 years of age. Could this really be the issue?
  9. In every game, i feel like there is a bit of an input lag and a DELAY when I let go of the key. What I mean by that is let's say I Press the w key and let it go. the character goes front but still keeps going front when I literally let go of the key a second ago. I have a razer cynosa v2. my pc has other problems like underperforming even though I changed my mobo, gpu, cpu with new ones couple times. I did another thread about this. people said it could be my ssd. Well I don't have another choice anyway. so keep in mind that I might have a broken ssd too. can ssd cause input lag in devices? I would be happy if someone helped me. thanks
  10. My both keyboard and controller feels like there is a delay after I let go of the key, like when I'm playing with my controller I press A the player goes to front (for example) and I let go of the a key but the character doesnt stop for like a whole second. it still thinks I'm pressing A. if you know what I mean. this happens in keyboard too. when I press w or any key, I play games like valorant, forza 4, nfs heat, csgo, rainbow. I have a razer cynosa v2 and PDP xbox controller wired. My system is rtx 2070 gigabyte aorus wifi mobo, i7 9700k, Samsung evo 860.
  11. I just want to be as quick as possible and not waste anyone's time here with lengthy details. About 2 or 3 months ago I was randomly hit with input lag that effects my mouse pretty bad. Not just in game, but also on my desktop. After doing research about this sort of issue it became pretty clear that bad grounding is effecting my pc and causing this input lag (most of the plugs in my house have only 2 prongs and my house was built in the 50s or 60s). I had an electrician come over recently and he installed a new grounded receptacle just for the outlet I use alone, but the issue still persists. From what I've seen on forums the only way to fix this is by grounding your whole house, but that isn't really an option for me considering how expensive the quote was that the electrician gave me. After the receptacle was installed I started to hear random static in my headphones and I'm getting these weird small shocks through my hands using my keyboard and mouse. My head feels extremely weird when using my headphones as well. Maybe I'm just mental and I'm perceiving these things, but regardless I'm hoping to find some sort of fix. I really don't have any other options other than trying a power conditioner or a UPS. What would you guys recommend? Is a power conditioner better for my situation, or would a UPS work better? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Specs: Asus PRIME Z370-P Intel i7-8700K Corsair Dominator Platinum 16gb GTX 1080 Ti Not sure what power supply is in my PC but I can find the wattage if needed.
  12. My input latency is higher than average in Windows 10. It is really affecting my gameplay and general usage, as I can notice at least half a second's delay when performing an input event. My laptop is a Helios 300: g3-571 i7 7700HQ 16GB RAM GTX 1060 6GB (Mobile) 256GB SSD Windows 10 Pro 20H2 BIOS Version 1.22 (Latest) My i/o devices are the following: 60hz Acer K22HQL Via HDMI (even if i use the laptop's display with peripherals, the delay still persists) Gaming keyboard (rii rk100) Gaming mouse (G Pro wireless) USB Hub with a Flash drive and my headset plugged into it (Corsair Void Pro RGB USB) I have my laptop plugged in all the time, so it is not on battery saver mode. I also have High Performance mode turned on in Power savings, as well as Power management mode > High performance in NVidia control panel. I have used LatencyMon since I saw it in a YouTube tutorial, and I have a strong feeling that the high values have something to do with my delay. : When compared to the YouTube person's results as shown below, mine are much higher than theirs. I have followed countless YouTube tutorials to no avail, I seriously need help since playing games is insanely difficult like this. Thank you to anyone who attemps to help!
  13. Hi fellow Anthonies, I have a problem right now that I am facing on my new monitor I had got a few weeks ago to increase my productivity from my teeny 13 inch laptop. It is the Lenovo L22e. It is a VA Panel, 1080p, goes from 49-76 hz. Pretty nice. It has tiny bezels, and looks great compared to my laptop which was kinda old which I believe was a TN panel (im not sure but it sucks so it probably is). So I had seen that it had a feature that it could support upto 4 ms response times. Now I know its not too good, but fortunately or unfortunately, I have not been spoilt with high refresh rate and low response times, and think its good enough. So when it came, by default the pixel overdrive setting in the built in monitor settings was set to medium. It was when I was noticing purple ghosts/fringing (I am not sure what is the best terminology) when I was scrolling under any sorts of text under any color background. It was also noticeable when you move around a small window around on the icons and text. It was also present in 75 hz mode. Interesting part: This sort of ghosting was not occurring when overdrive was set to off. Which is pretty weird since every single thread I was searching about this said that it is because the pixels are not shifting fast enough, so the answer was to switch on game mode/pixel overdrive mode. For me, in case of no overdrive, there was a very teeny white blur like one millimetre around the text, but with it on, there was a very huge and noticeable purple color ghost following the text as I pressed middle click and was scrolling through a document. Now I know that I dont have a super cool tuned eye that could make out between 1 and 5 ms lag but like you can see for yourself. It's pretty weird. scroll.mp4 You can see when I turn it on, there's definitely some stuff going on that shouldn't. It's currently 1080p 75 hz. Any advice would be appreciated. EDIT: With normal instead of extreme, it looks much better but its still visible.
  14. Yeah, long title. So I've been reading up on this problem and came across some posts from 5 years ago saying something about a windows update breaking the Xbox One Controller drivers, but uhhh. I don't have an Xbox One Controller or wireless adapter that supposedly used to break it. 'used to' being the keyword, as it was supposedly fixed in march 2016 with another windows update. Seeing as this computer was only reformatted less then 3 months ago and is running roughly the same software and exactly the same hardware as I had previously (which yes, it still did this before the reformat) it leads me to think it's a hardware issue, but the Xbox Driver bollocks makes me think it's something to do with my Controller software (SCP toolkit, lets my PS3 controller work as an Xbox 360 controller, which isn't necessary anymore with steam? at least I think it isn't) Only other thing I can think of is maybe a RAM or hard drive fault. I installed a NVME SSD which killed my old SATA SSD somehow (hard killed, thing doesn't power on, think power supply might've pulled one over on me) so I disconnected it and ran windows on the new SSD and combined my 2 HDD's into a RAID 0 Array for a lil speed boost (they only store games and some unimportant files so file security isn't a problem, just an inconvenience) and have had no luck. I occasionally get spikes of 100 or so faults per second on my RAM but it's no directly coinciding with the stutter and I'm not sure what else I can monitor to check what causes them, I don't think it's the RAM per se as it barely uses all 16gb and used to run perfectly fine but after 3 reformats and minor drive changes (barring the destruction of my SATA SSD) SO the tl;dr Anyone had this issue previously? Anyone know of some software I can use to monitor the cause of my funny stuttering? The Stuttering/input delay occurs both in and out of games after a certain amount of computer uptime, fixed with a restart before it slowly creeps back in and progressively gets worse over time And is anybody able to correlate my installed software/hardware with this issue? I can pull the whole list, my computer is borderline empty just a storage ground for games and terrible 3d Models Thanks, Jak
  15. Hi everyone, I have a problem on apex legends, but also on warzone the same thing happens it is a problem with the mouse, since I had the possibility to at least play at acceptable conditions in full hd with my rx 590 circa a year and a half ago I had this problem for most of the time now I don't know if it happened to someone but around the internet several people seem to have had problems with this game of a different nature also very similar to mine, anyway to be clear.. I can assure you that with my settings (800 dpi 2.0 in game) the mouse and the sensitivity of the game should not be so out of phase, and as if in reality the sensitivity was much higher it was much faster and impossible to track enemies in these conditions it is obviously impossible to play, even lowering or changing the combinations between dpi and game sensitivity it is absolutely unplayable also because as I said after trying everything and more around the web and the last time the game worked for a while disabling the game dvr from the registry, however, I could not find a definitive solution. I also changed the mouse, keyboard and mobo recently I have a Razer Blackwidow keyboard and a Razer Viper Mini mouse Currently not working after i reinstalled everything from scratch for the umpteenth time. This is a list of what i tried to do: - anything regarding acceleration disable mouse and pointer precision, MarkC Mouse Acceleration Fix, lower acceleration and maximum cursor speed to the minimum possible from the windows accessibility control panel. - as I said disable the gamedvr also from regedit and now it does not work even at the beginning, disable the full screen optimizations both the flag 211 of the regedit in the children folder, and obviously through the properties of the apex.exe icon file. - I had read around the web that synapse 3 the game program for razer could create many problems in this sense so it was recommended to uninstall it, I did it but nothing. - uninstall and reinstall the drivers for the mouse and all usb devices and trying other usb ports. - Also I have read around that lowering the mouse polling rate would have solved the problem obviously this is not the solution that I prefer besides the fact that the 125hz mouse worked with much more stutter obviously and only for a couple of games but after a few games already from the map on the ship to land you immediately notice that the feeling of sensitivity has changed again always the same problem that is it works for a few games and only sometimes and then randomly does not work anymore. I think I have never reached such a level of frustration in my life, I have worked hard to be able to afford this pc and instead, despite my efforts, I cannot play first person shooters at all. 16. Hey everyone, I have LG G1 along with a Pioneer VSX-LX305 A/V Receiver. Simple question, would we have input lag with our next gen consoles/gaming PC when connecting directly through A/V receivers that have HDMI 2.1? I know I can connect it directly to My G1 and enable eARC for the uncompressed audio back to the A/V receiver but I was just trying to avoid that if possible. I was hoping the @LinusTech team covered this already; however, I wasn't able to locate any viable answers in the forums. I dont wanna spend money on a Input lag tester for a simple question. Maybe one day the @LinusTech team would make a dedicated video on this topic since more and more A/V receivers are coming with HDMI 2.1 inputs. Thank you! :)
  17. So for the past few weeks I have been having terrible input lag while gaming. The problem started a few days or so after installing my old GPU into my new PC. Before that, using just the igpu, it was fine. Then, it started to lag whenever I played any video game. But regular use didn't affect it. I have tried 2 keyboards, 2 gpus (the old one and a new 3060), and every USB port on my computer and nothing worked. I tried reinstalling the drivers and running troubleshooting stuff and nothing helped. When there is lag, it isn't constant. It will come and go. Sometimes it will be a few button presses, other times it will be 15 seconds delayed and have multiple keystrokes register well after I have already pressed it. Either way, it makes games unplayable because I can't control my character. I have googled my issues and tried to ask for help but have found nothing. What do I do? I need help. Thanks! Specs: 12700k, 3060 (upgraded from an rx570 8gb), 32 gb ram. Latest drivers for everything. Keyboard is a Razer Blackwidow TE Chroma v2 and a dell keyboard. Glorious model d mouse. I think that should be everything important.
  18. I have been dealing with an issue that has plagued me since March 2022. One day during that month I had a windows update, and was in the middle of an FPS session with some friends. I figured ok, might as well get this out of the way now. So I let windows update, rebooted, and logged back into my PC. When I had logged back in suddenly my mouse felt off. I have been a PC gamer most of my life, and am generally very good at shooters. I know how a mouse should feel after 3 decades of enjoying the genre. Upon logging back in my mouse input felt delayed. The mouse was floaty almost as if it was on ice with v-sync turned on. I was incapable of tracking targets without over/under shooting. The problem wasn't just games it's also present on the desktop. Fast forward to January 2023 and I still have the issue. After countless nights of research and reformatting many times, I ended up building a new PC with all new components, and the issue still persists. I've installed different versions of Windows 10 dating back to 2019(1803, 2004, 20h2, 21h2, 22h2). I've tried everything you can think of to fix this issue. Enhanced pointer precision turned off. I have tried 3 different mice wired/wirless, G-sync on/off, all new hardware, different ethernet cable, monitors. V-sync is off globally in the NVCP. Windows 10 is fully updated. BIOS is fully updated. Chipset drivers are installed. Factory reset a few times, cleared the CMOS. I have two USPs that I've tried, different outlets in the house. I brought my PC to a friends in a different area, over 60 miles from where I live and nothing changes. Oddly enough, every once in a blue moon I will log into an FPS game and SUDDENLY my aim is extremely responsive and snappy. When this happens nothing has been changed, the computer just decides to be responsive. This rarely happens, and I don't know how or why it does. I'll enjoy it while I can for an hour or two, head to bed, and when I boot the computer up the next day it will just be back to the same old input lag. I don't know what else to do. If anyone has ran into the issue of input delay before and maybe has a solution, I'd love to chat and maybe we can figure something out. Appreciate your time. 19. So basically i play competitive fortnite and i need the best performance while playing frame wise, internet wise, and input delay wise. I like to stream most of the events but i run into a problem which puts me in a disadvantage. When i don't stream my game feels nice a smooth and responsive as it should. But as soon as i start streaming it feels like my game looks a little more choppy, kinda like my refresh rate went down to 130 instead of 144, and i feel like there is more input delay. Here are my specs AMD Ryzen 5 2600 GTX 1660 (2x8) 16gb gddr4 2400mhz Gigabyte b450m ds3h 120 gb ssd 1tb hdd 500w power supply I have attached pictures of my stream and game settings . not sure if you need me to show you advanced and general settings too but just let me know. Also i don't usually have anything else open besides the game and streamlabs obs. I also turn the preview off by enabling performance mode but just can't find a solution to this. I don't know if i need a rtx card or drop more money on a streaming pc. PLEASE HELP :(((((

  24. Hi! The main reason I need a good gpu and cpu is because I am running psychology experiments. These experiments require that there is a good response time acquisition by two softwares: Emotiv Testbench (https://www.emotiv.com/product/emotiv-pure-eeg/) and E-Prime PST Software 2.0 (https://www.pstnet.com/downloads/productsheets/EPRIME.pdf). The experiment design requires the subjects or the people playing the "game" will have to respond as fast as possible pressing either a key on a keyboard or a click on a mouse. The usual problem encountered with this is that E-Prime acquires the reaction time of the subject (translated to input lag from periferals) while it sends the stimulus or image (frame sync) to the Emotiv Testbench as a time stamp of the occured event (translated to cpu speed). While at the same time of performing the "game" the subject wears an Electroencephalograph and it record brain waves as in a Brain Computer Interface. E-Prime software has minimum hardware and software requirements. These are the requirements: E-Prime® 3.0 is compatible with PCs running: Windows® 10 64-bit Windows® 8/8.1 64-bit Windows® 7 SP1 32 and 64-bit Minimum Recommended Pentium i3 Processor 2GHz or higher 2GB RAM DirectX™ video card USB Port Pentium i7 Processor 2GHz or higher 4GB RAM or higher DirectX™ 11 video card with 128MB RAM or higher* Chronos® or a Core Audio sound card compatible for audio presentation USB Port Internet Connection** * DirectX 11 Hardware Acceleration required for Windows 8 and Windows 10. ** For installation and design purposes only. Not recommended during data collection. Please use Recommended hardware requirements for millisecond accurate timing while playing movies. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Can someone recommend a budget LAPTOP ranging from $100.00-$600.00 USD? Maybe recommend between quad core and dual core, low input lag and response time of monitor and periferals; and best cpu processing speed for the budget??
  25. I noticed an issue with my bf1 game and i dont know why its happening, i think its input lag but i may wrong, It registers my movements long after i press or release the button on my keyboard or mouse, but it only does this problem with movements or looking around, when i fire my weapon it fires as soon as i click which i dont understand, ive reinstalled bf1 and that didnt work, i thought it might have been the windows 10 game bar cause that has caused some problems in the past but turning that off didnt work either. also this doesnt seem to happen as much when im in windowed mode but as i scale the window larger it seems to get worse
