Hey all, I'm about to buy a new monitor. I'm going for a dual monitor setup and depending on my paycheck thursday i'll buy them both at once or 1 now and 1 later. Requirements: Bezelless 1080p 75hz (or 60 with an overclock to 75) 24 - 27" €100 - €200 Vesa 75 or 100 This is my build. I've found some interesting monitors myself: Iiyama XU2492HSU IPS €169 LG 24MP88HV IPS €199 LG 24MP68VQ AH-IPS w freesync €163

What's the actual difference between these two monitors? I've checked spec on iiyama site but it seems everything is the same.

I bought the iiyama G-Master GB2760QSU B1 a week ago. When i play games with v-sync turned on, the steam counter stays at 60fps with a few spikes to 100+ fps that dont even last 1 second. I have tested it on multiple games like gta 5 and wreckfest. with out v-sync i get around 170fps in gta 5, and 300fps in wreckfest. I need to play gta 5 with v-sync turned on, with it turned off i do get tiny lagg spikes. a fresh install on a ssd didnt help. (other games dont have this problem) Nvidia control panel says 144hz and the monitor it self has free-sync turned on. If i turn on G-Sync it just hurst my eyes and it stays on 60fps. Does anyone know why v-sync keeps it at 60 fps. All drivers are the newest version, i tried it with older drivers but it didnt seem to help. PC specs are: 32GB ram 3200mz i7 8700k 4,6hz 1080ti Any help would be much appreciated

hello, i'm new to this forum and I hoped somebody could help me with my freesync monitor cause windows seems like its not able to detect the screen compleetly. it keeps telling me that its ambitious or not able to migrate. I checked all the specs needed and it should work but the tearing is still there. Specs: AMD RX vega 56 ijyama: g-master gb2730hsu

I currently have a dual monitor setup of 23inch older monitors, 60Hz. An Iiyama and Dell. The problem I have had is that the bezels are quite large for a dual screen setup and neither support freesync. Plus the Dell monitor has a very poor refresh rate with some artefacts burnt into the screen. I am looking at two monitors to replace them, on a budget. I have narrowed my selection down to an iiyama 24.5 inch TN monitor with 1ms refresh time 1080p and a Dell 23 inch IPS monitor with 5ms response time 1080p. Both do 75Hz with freesync. I have an RX480 8GB gfx card and I find 1080 to be fine, no really looking at the jump to 1440. The IPS is cheaper at €124 euro and the TN is €141 but that little bit larger. I do a lot of amature photo and video work, which is why I was looking IPS in the first place but is there realistically enough of a different between these two? I want to overclock my Iiyama ProLite T2250MTS, but it wouldn't get over 65 hertz without blurry and misplaced pixels. Is there any way I could overclock it to 75 hertz without this blur? I'm using the first system listed (HP pavilion) and nvidia control panel edit: it's running off DVI

Hey, I'm thinking of getting the Iiyama G-Master GB2760QSU-B1 for generally gaming, but also for a little bit of web development. But I've yet to make the decision of actually getting it because of a few things. It's a TN panel. I've never even used an IPS panel before, so I don't know what I'm missing. For games, I usually play games such as PUBG, Fortnite, LOL etc. I've currently got a 1060 6GB videocard. I'm fully aware that I'll not even reach 144 FPS (for the 144hz) when I play games such as Fortnite on 1440p (I usually get around 120-130 on 1080p), but to me it seems something nice to have for when I upgrade my card in the future. Besides, for most competitive games, reaching 144+ FPS on 1440p is no problem. I've read reviews that an IPS panel is much better, but like I said, I don't know what I'm missing since I never used one as a monitor. This brings me to my second point, Freesync. I got a nvidia card. So Freesync is bascially pointless for me. And G-sync is quite expensive. Will it matter if my monitor doesn't give me the G-sync/Freesync feature? Please note that I also disable V-sync when playing games, never liked it, never will. This brings me to my last point, is it overal a good monitor? Or can I get a better one for the prize? The monitor will cost me 460 euro's (565 dollars). Thanks for taking the time.

Hey, Yesterday, I picked up my IIYAMA G-Master GB2760QSU-B1 (for gaming purposes). This monitor cost me 440 euros (518 dollars). For that kind of money, I was expecting a big difference from my old monitor (HP 2510i), but I actually think that the monitor seems to be worse in some factors. So I did a monitor screen test, and here are the results. First of all, I tested if there were any defective pixels. And this is what I found on a solid black screen: (This is the only photo that is made in portrait mode, sorry about that.) As you can see, there are 2 green pixels that are basically stuck. They are always green no matter what. And if you look very closely, there are also some other grey dots, this is not dust, I've tried cleaning it. Now here comes the real issue. This is a test where you have to make sure the logo matches with the background. On the left is my old monitor. On the right is my new one. I've tested this on multiple monitors, this is the only one with a green background. It also has these weird lines, have a closer look The pixels also look kinda ugly to be honest (1440p resolution). I've also made a screenshot just to make sure that my computer wasn't giving me these weird colors. All is fine with a screenshot. I'm also unable to test how the 144hz feels. My monitor says that it's on 144hz, I've put it on 144hz with the nvidia config, while refresh rate testers auto scan that my monitor is currently using 60hz. I also don't feel a difference when I put it on 60hz and 144hz, even while gaming. And now to my next point, the resolution. Putting far cry 5 on 1080p on my new 27 inch monitor doesn't even come close to looking like 1080p. This is probably because the monitor is 27 inch and has 1440p. But when I put far cry 5 on my old monitor with 720p settings, it looks way better than the 1080p version of the new 27 inch monitor. And white backgrounds just look a bit... funky. It kinda looks like someone with dirty fingers just touched your mobile screen. I'm not the best at explaining things, but I did my best. Any help is appreciated

Dear all, I recently bought a iiyama SIlver crow 27" 1440p 70HZmonitor http://gmaster.iiyama.com/nl_nl/products/g-master-gb2783qsu-b1/ and now I suffer from screen tearing! In almost every game I have screen tearing by default. In most (but certainly not all) games this is resolved by enabling G-sync which caps my FPS at 70 (since the refresh rate of my monitor is 70Hz). Now, this monitor has no g-sync technology and I am using a DisplayPort. I am wondering what I can do to reduce/eliminate screen tearing (all my other system specs are below this post). Will it help to switch to a HDMI cable @ 60Hz instead of a DP @70Hz? Is there software or certain Nvidia settings which reduce screen tearing? All information is most welcome!

I was playing battlefield 4 , having an amazing run in metro and out of nowhere after a headshot, bf4 crashes and everything is frozen so I restart my PC cause I couldnt get anywhere. After this reset , my monitor does not work at all. I have tried resetting 30 times , pulling the plug and holding the power button etc. I have linux dual boot and linux strangely works , monitor and everything . I used my TV monitor with HDMi and windows boots so I doubt it is my R7 370 . Please help? So i was looking for a monitor 1440 and 27 inch did see this Iiyama, i liked it because the edges arent that thick and it is for a triple monitor setup. Anyone has a better suggestion or any experience with this monitor?

Do i need a DisplayPort to dvi cable or DisplayPort to HDMI cable? or what is the best option? thanks in advance
