So trying to narrow down what Id buy for some new wired in ear headphones. This list is also based on what I can buy locally in my country. SoundMAGIC E11C Kzacoustics ZS10 Pro or the newer X Sony MDR-XB55AP SENNHEISER CX 80S So 2 mainstream brands, and 2 chineese brands I belive. I hear mostly good things about the Zs10 pro, they also cost a bit more. Things I value: The most tangle free cable, good clear vocals (podcast/youtube) and build quality. Budget around 50 euro/dollars.

For the upcoming school year, I’m taking a digital arts class and need a pair of IEM’s but wanted something I could actually enjoy using. Around the $40-50 range is my price point and I’d appreciate any help since there’s tons of headphones I have to go through and it would have shorten the process.

I've recently been having audio interference/ random audio pops from front panel. I was recommended the Apple USB C to 3.5 mm jack cable, but the issue is still happening even with it. I believe I may need to use my motherboard audio outs, but obviously there's no 3.5 mm jack to use there. Is there a good DAC/ interface (that's not too expensive) to allow me use my earbuds and would also eliminate the audio pop/ crackle? The pop/ crackle seems to only happen during YouTube videos and while streaming shows/ movies. Also only at certain points of a show/movie/video. Please let me know.

2 pin connectors uncommon? Swiveled IEM Cables? YOU DIDN'T EVEN KNOW TO TWIST A CCX CONNECTOR??? I might actually have a brain hemmorhage. Did you know ChatGPT can answer like basic questions and tell you like.... all about the connectors, what other IEM's use what connectors. I just..... What the hell. 1 - 2 pins Yes, at the 1200 to infinite money fr no reward end, theres no 2 pins. Look at anything under 200 dollars? Unless you SPECIFICALLY look for CCX or.... I think theres one that slides and locks in place? 2 pin connectors are like... stupidly common. KBEar, Any of the Z's, literally CCA's entire catalog is 2pins, and all this crap is on amazon. 2 - Swiveled Facepalms Ok yes sennheiser and maybe like.... yamaha has swiveled stage cables that are ALSO LIKE 4 METERS LONG. The swivel is because of the weight and movement.... not.... fitment... I've seen cables that were postmarket solutions, but not swiveled being common. CCX might have swiveled versions, but I haven't gotten to try many CCX. 3 ......Twist the CCX connector

I recently stumbled across the IEM community on youtube and have been watching a lot of IEM related content over the past week or two. I have gotten interested in getting a solid pair of IEM's for myself because I realized I have never really experienced high quality audio. I also just want to try something new :3 I have seen time and time again that both the Moondrop Aria and Moondrop Starfield are among the best in the sub-$100 price point which is exactly where I'm looking. I just want some advice on what to look for in a good IEM, any IEM's that I should take a look into, and just general audio focused tips. I'm completely new to the audio space and it has really interested me, so I'd love to have any resources where I could learn more and dive a bit deeper. Thanks in advance for any help or recommendations, stay safe!

Hey every one I am still very new into audio so please excuse some "obvious" mistakes in my thinking xD. So I recently discovered that I like the feeling of wearing iem´s more then I do over ear headphones. With mine now dying (some focusrite AKG clones at my desktop with a focusrite 2i2 2nd gen. As well as my soundsport free´s.) I am looking to get a pair that fits both needs. Gaming and using guitar amps at my pc as well as having some form of bluetooth connection on the go. (preferably a bluetooth neck band but I am looking into small clip on amps and a short cable as well). For about 130€ ish all together. I mostly listen to Hard Rock, Metal, Rap and some synth stuff Considering all of this A. can it be done on this kind of a budget ? B. Considering I am going to wear them a lot is a 2 pin connection better then a mmcx ? C. Give me some recommendations I have been digging into all of this and am still a bit overwhelmed by the options. any help is appreciated

Currently I have KZ ZSN and CCA C12, my T2 broke and sent for warranty. My library are 75% vocal and 25% edm. While C12 are great for EDM, I want something with more air, neutral sound. And that's where I read about harman tuning how it supposed soundly neutral with bit more warmth. Anyway, It seems iems with this tuning is +$100, the ones in my price bracket: 1. Moondrop aria 2. Tachjim kora If you know few more that I miss please let me know, would be greatly appreciated.

Recently i just bought the KZ ZSN Pro X and while browsing online i came across another product called the KZ AZ09. Apparently IEMs can be made wireless with these bluetooth adapters that connect directly into the pins rather than still needing a cable that goes into a bluetooth transmitter. The adapter itself seems to be a reasonable price at ~RM80(20USD) and i wanted to ask is this a good adapter? Are IEM bluetooth adapters any good in the first place? I mean it would seem to be the perfect combination of amazing sound with wireless convenience. Are there some caveats like the sound isn't as loud as running wired or anything of that sort or is it just this isn't that widespread or heard of? I have also seen wireless earbuds that appear to be similar to IEMs from KZ and i wanted to ask are those any good?.

Disclaimer: I am new to audio but i'm trying to learn and optimize bang-for-buck when it comes to tech stuff that i buy (which as of now is audio) With the advice of Dankpods, i decided to buy the KZ ZSN Pro X (Gold cuz why not) after being fed up with the 4 pairs of wireless earphones i had used prior. I'm very satisfied considering the IEMs themselves cost little over 12USD whereas i had spent ~70USD on 2 wireless earphones. The audio quality is great (to my untrained ear) and the mic is superb. However i know that IEMs are quite different from earbuds and i wanted to ask as a newcomer what i should know and be aware of. 1 such thing i came across is that with IEMs, the ear tips have a huge impact and that apparently, good quality ear-tips can improve the experience. Apparently the ones that come included with IEMs are not that good especially among budget options like the one i bought and you should buy 3rd party ear-tips that are of better quality. Also what is the characteristics of different material eartips? Like how does memory foam eartips differ from silicone in terms of fit, comfort, sound and so on? Is this true or this a myth? 1 thing i noticed is that the cables are removable and have their own connectors which in turn means that unlike the mainstream earbuds there is modularity and customization galore. This means that you can replace or even upgrade the cable should you desire. I am somewhat on the fence about this since i want a black cable and i found 1 for 6USD but i'm unsure about how the mic might sound on that. Other terms i have seen been used are balanced cables and MMCX. I dont exactly understand what these mean tho. Correct me if I'm wrong but a balanced cables apparently just separates the right and left channels or something along those lines. Again i would need an simple explaination as to what these do. MMCX as far as i can tell just seem to be a different connector type? These are the some of the few questions that i have right now but i would like to know more about IEMs. Any things i should know, habits i should avoid and so on. Maybe this can be a thread to help other newcomers to IEMs as well.

So just get my hand on Blon-05s for $45 (IDR 600k), seeing that it barely has any review on internet so I thought why not make quick review while I still have time. Current iems: KZ ZSN CCA C12 Tin T2 CMoy amp + BGVP T01 dongle dac/amp Disclaimer I have over-developed right jaw so my right ear is 1 size smaller than my left ear. My comfort may be different than yours. My music are 50% vocal (utada hikaru etc.), 30% rock, 20% EDM from souncloud Sound Signature I'll describe it as "neutral with touch of bright", in a sense there is no particular frequency that standing out, while the vocal is bit forward so it's get sibilance on higher volume. Compared to my CCA C12 (knows to be bassy iem) the music's order are bit different: CCA C12: Bass -> Treble -> Vocal. Bass is taking majority of music while vocal is taking a back seat as if the singer is in room with hardly any air. Blon BL05s: Vocal -> Treble -> Bass. Vocal and instrument are fighting for presence while bass is being very controlled. Comfort BL-05s is less comfortable than semi-custom iem (KZ ZSN and CCA C12), but more comfortable than T2 BL-05s like T2 do not hide ear canal size difference like KZ/CCA does. I need left eartips size L while right eartips size M. But because of their shape they stay in place more securely than T2. Accessories Eartips selection is standard but comfortable Cable is surprisingly good - not tangly like KZ's (other reviewer say it's bad, I'll say it's decent especially for $45) Included pouch though nice I use OEM hard case instead Amping From straight from smartphone (realme C25) to BGVP T01, not much different other than it open vocal more, giving it more air. If you would like to know more, please let me know.

Hello, As the summer heat waves hit pretty often now, I am starting to look for some IEMs that I could use mainly for gaming and some music (75% - 25%). The headphones that I use currently are the Sennheiser HD660s and Beyerdynamic Pro DT770 (250 ohms). In the past I had a pair of Audio-Technica AD700x, really liked their huge soundstage. What I am looking for is very good imaging and a decent soundstage. Unfortunately, my country does not have Amazon (yet), and I will not order from Drop as I am from Europe. The good news is that I have put together a pretty decent list of IEMs that I could get, but I will need your help: FiiO FD1 FiiO FH1s Fiio FH3 Meze Rai Solo FiiO FH5 iBasso IT01s Campfire IO FiiO FH5s The headphones will be paired to my AMP/DAC stack: Topping L30 + E30. Which one of the above do you think will fit my needs? I am looking forward to this discussion

Atm I have unexpected fortune, me and my calculator agree that $300 is max to spend on my hobby. So I would like this $300 to be my only end-game IEM as my library is not that big (<150 songs). My library is 50% jpop (utada hkaru, ayumi hamasaki, aimer, etc.), 30% jrock (spyair, uverworld, etc), and 20% pop from Billboard 100/UK top 40. Having I just purchased Blon-05s I immediately click with it's sound sig, but comfort is so-so. So to upgrade from Blon-05s what I am looking for are: 1. Comfortable preferably semi-custom shape 2. Neutral sound sig (fast bass decay, non-fatiguing treble, non-recessed mid) 3. Bit forward midrange / vocal (to counter jpop which usually master vocal bit behind) 4. Good soundstage 5. Amping is non-issue I have been drooling over Moondrop Blessing 2, but I am open to suggestion for other cheaper or similar recommendation. Cheers.

Currently I have TaoTronics TT-BH21 and I am happy with them. The problem is that I work 12h a day and I'm using these headphones all that time and I'm starting to get a permanent slit on my hair. Because of that I'm looking to upgrade to something that does not go on my head. I'm assuming earbuds/IEMs are way to go? Basically these are my requirements: It should to be wireless if possible. I could deal with wired earphones since I'm siting in one place but all of them that I've had you could hear every time the cable moved. Maybe things have changes since then. If wireless - battery should last at least 12h on a single charge even after a couple of years of use if possible. It should be comfortable for 12h daily use. It should drown-out kids playing (screaming) when I have an open window. No microphone needed. I'm not an audiophile so sound should be good enough. Things that I am reading is that IEM are better then earbuds but most of them are wired as far as I know. Maybe I could get bluetooth to 3.5mm adapter if the cable sound is minimal? What are your recommendations?

So I'm new to audio and I am planning to buy the Fiio BTR3K for my headphones, however i miss the convenience and portability of the earbuds form factor. As such i thought it would be a good idea to buy some IEMs. My budget is RM200 (=50USD).

Hello! I've seen a lot of different IEMs and different opinions on them, if it's any help, the headphones I currently use are the Sennheiser 560S (which I absolutely love). Don't really have a specific preference for tuning, does not have to be neutral or anything as long as it sounds good! Some of the ones I'm interested in are the Moondrop Aria and the Truthear x Crinacle ZERO! Especially the latter because the driver setup sounds very interesting, but I've also heard that the Aria are the defacto pick for the sub-100 category so I'm not sure what to pick! AFAIK both are harman neutral but the Aria might be more detailed and balanced? Would love some input, especially if you own both!

Some time ago, when I didn't really know anything related to IEMs quality, tuning, etc. I bought myself Ibasso IT01. Later I understood that they are lacking in some areas, but they are usable. Now, after couple of years, I know a little bit more. Also, cable broke 3rd time since I started using this IEMs, and this time I don't have tools on hand to fix it. So I decided it's time to upgrade my whole setup, along with buying myself another pair of IEMs. Now I know at least enougth to navigate in this space and avoid complete garbage. I like Harman target, and used Wavelet autoEQ to make my IT01 sound like Harman. So I bought Truthear ZERO, because it was advertised to already be compliant with Harman target, so I wouldnt be needing to use any EQ anymore. And also, because I'm in a Crinacle cult. Picked them up yesterday. All my life I have listened to music from my phone. And I always thought that phone has enough power to drive any IEM, but with this new ones it seems like only my laptop can provide them with enough juice to get sufficient amount of volume. I tried them on an iPad - similar story. It's not like I'm listening my music on a dangerous amounts of volume. Usually I was adjusting it on my phone from song to song, depending on a record quality (like, when using Spotify I would make volume slightly higher then liscening to FLAC record from sdcard). I also never used preamp, my old Ibasso IEM had enough lowndes at a top volume settings that it will be painful to listen. So, is there some problem with my new IEMs, with my phone or with me? Or this is pretty much normal stuff? Asking because I also bought BTR5 and it would suck to discover that it also can't drive those new IEM's.

So I accidentally stepped on left IEM while it was in pants, omw to toilet. And when I took it out a few hours later, turns out the housing of the connection point is cracked/deformed. Such that I can't plug in my stock cable or the AZ09 Bluetooth adapter that I was using when I stepped on it. My question is, is the damage repairable? Cuz considering how tightly packed all the components are I would not think so.

So, I'm still new to the audiophile world, I usually listen to 80s bands like queen, GnR, ABBA, Nena, Simple minds, cranberries with a few 70s, 90s, 2000s mixed in there like heart, and paramore. Although currently I am listening to a bunch of J-pop though really mostly anime ops with emphasis on female vocals. I currently own the schiit magni modi, a pair of DT990s, HD6xxs, and Soundcore Liberty pro 3 and I want to expand to the world of IEMs since I can't enjoy my HD6xxs as much because of work. I managed to narrow my choices down to the Moondrop Kato, Moondrop Variations, and Thieaudio oracles. In terms of sound signature, I think I prefer the HD6xxs since its more natural, but honestly as heretical as it sounds, the soundcore pro 3s are really growing on me and I think I prefer them over the HD6xxs? I don't know if this is because I listen to my soundcores more because I am mostly at work or if the soundcores just feels more fun or their HearID eq just works for me. Or maybe its just the convenience honestly.... With that being said, I want to come here and ask the experts here which IEMs should I get? I think I am gonna mostly listen to J-pop since it's something new for me and I prefer female vocalists. I think I want to focus on vocals and sound resolution more. I don't mind trying out new sound signatures, especially the Harman Curve I have been hearing a lot about, although if someone could explain to me that could be great. Always want to learn more and expand this new hobby of mine. Pricing wise, honestly I don't mind spending the 500 dollars if the sound quality is much better or even generally better than the 200 dollar ones. Other recommendations for me, it's always welcomed and I would love to hear your thoughts. I think the most I am willing to spend is around the 500 550 dollars mark, although again if something else is much better for 600 I wouldn't mind considering it. Also do I need to buy anything to maximize the audio quality for my phone? I own a Galaxy s10+ and I heard that it downsamples all songs to 16/48. So yeah basically, which one should I get? Would love to hear your logic in choosing as well and to understand the tech behind these IEMS. Other recommendations are always welcomed as well. P.S: I attached my custom hearID EQ if it can help. Again I am really new to this hobby, I honestly am still trying to understand the lingo and tech that goes behind these audiophile gears. That and English is like my 3rd language so I am sorry if I make some grammatical errors and patience is always appreciated. Thank you in advanced! Oh and if you guys and gals have some song recommendations for me, would love to listen to them and add them to my playlist. Current favorite songs are: Only My Railgun, My pleasure, Vivy's Fluorties Eye's song, Sun Sun days, Connect, Joint, Dreamrheser, Cagayake Girls, I'm a dreamer, DejaVu, Happy Encount, Plastic Love, Catch you catch me, Burn, and really just a bunch of 80s and synth-wave/pop.

i'm planning on making the switch from headphone to IEMs for listening to music but also casual gaming. and i've shortlisted 2 that are in my price range and appeal to me (none of my local audio shops carry either IEM so i'm just relying on video and article reviews). one has a single dynamic driver and the other is a 1dd + 4ba setup. i'm just wondering what's the difference in terms of sound experience between single and multi driver setups? can i always expect better staging and instrument separation from multi driver IEMs? or what makes a single driver IEM as expensive as a 5 driver IEM? my picks: etymotic er4xr moondrop blessing 2

Hey, anyone knows what kind of IEM's Linus is using in the new Half-Life: Alyx video? I mean they look pretty custom and pricey so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to afford them. Also any recommendations between 100-150$ for good IEM's?

Hello, as the title says I'm looking for IEMs under 100€ to only use with my phone and maybe sometime my laptop. I don't use a dac, just straight from the 3.5mm jack of my pixel 3a. I stream music from Tidal HiFi, I need these only when I'm going around outside (for the future since I'm stuck in quarantine) and I need a portable solution. I already have a pair of AKG K712 pro with a JDS Atom to use at home and a pair of Sennheiser Momentum to use like when travelling. Wired or wireless is the same, but I'm 99% sure I'll get a better value from wires. Since I mainly use them with my phone I need a mic since it's way more convenient for calls. IEMs + a replacement cable with a mic are accepted as well, as long as the total is still under 100€ Thank you!

I am considering getting either of the two, i currently have the shure se215s. Question is which one do i get, as from what i understand, the E40s are slightly inaccurate studio monitors in push pull configuration, and the ls50 having two dynamic. Problem resides in how the ls50 has basically no review in english. Does anyone have any experience with either or both? edit: an a mod change this to Audio(posted on phone buggy af)

Hi LTT, I'm looking at buying some sub $80 (USD) IEMs to finally upgrade from my Apple EarPods. I'm not a basshead by any stretch but I do enjoy being able to hear it in my music, my tastes range from classical and soft jazz to rock and pop. Any suggestions? I'm currently looking at the NuForce BE6i's on Massdrop (MSRP $125 for $90) although I would prefer to spend a little less than that, however the apparent quality of that pair seems to merit the extra $10 over my budget. Any other suggestions or opinions on those headphones would be greatly appreciated as I really have no experience to speak of in audio. ~Michael
