Hi my CPU clock speed is stuck between 1.16 and 1.19 GHz when it's supposed to be 3.50 GHz and I've tried a lot of things hoping I could fix it on my own but with no success I also searched everywhere looking for similar problems as mine and I found a few and tried their solutions but still no success and when I go into the bios settings it shows that my clock speed is 1.20GHz My PC specs are Windows 10 Home 64 bit MSI E-ATX X99A Gaming 9 ACK (BIOS version 3.60, 2016, latest) Intel i7 5930k (Stock clock of 3.5GHz or at least it was before this problem) 4x8GB Crucial Ballistix RAM (2400MHz) MSI GTX 980Ti Gaming 6g (stock) Samsung 850 (non-pro) SSD (250GB) boot drive WD Black 4TB + WD Greem 2TB storage drive EVGA SuperNOVA (1300W G2 80+ Gold) Corsair Hydro Series H110 Cooler Thanks in advance

I was wondering what processor performs best overclocked as i have recently received info that the haswell 6 core processors overclock better than the broadwell-e 6 core processors. So thats why i changed my mind from the i7 6800k and am now looking at haswell 6 core processors. Feel free to suggest other processors (need to be intel cuz running a hackintosh) and max budget of $320 dollars

I'm looking at saving for a new build in the upcoming months (mini itx/dtx with mods, please see other forum posts if your interested) But I certainly don't want to just give up/sell off my current system as it's still a beast. Originally this build was made before the RGB and number of cores craze, and runs a 6 core CPU with 32gb RAM, and was used for AutoCAD and other design work I was doing at the time, alongside gaming. The Asus x99 deluxe II is enough of a beast to warrant me wanting to keep it, and as I'm no longer doing Engineering Designs professionally I want to use this x99 board to as much of its full capability as possible/practicable in a home network system. The NZXT 530 comes with plenty of HDD bays and I was planning on making this build into a NAS first and foremost, for a majority mix of media files and steam library, but I don't want to stop there. I'm thinking is it worth getting a dedicated sound card if I plan on running the PC as a local media system alongside as a NAS (with speakers to mach) I'm also wondering if I could use this PC as a local power on demand service? (kind of like the Razer Core) where low performance systems on the network (i.e Laptops) can offload some of the processing to the server If I'm wanting to do any of this, should I stick win the windows 10pro currently installed or go for a server OS? I also want this system to be the centre of a star network, so even Wifi connections would go through this PC before the router (I might need a better NIC for this, but plenty of PCI-e lanes and slots to populate) or would I need this system to be prior to the router and leave the router as the star topology with the server being a last/first stop firewall? Also has anyone seen PCI-e cards with hardware firewall capabilities? or does anyone know a way to use this system as network firewall? If anyone knows of 3rd party software that would let me monitor and control network traffic on this system it would also be useful? Would it be recommended to upgrade some of the hardware, is 4x8gb 2666 speed ram enough, or should I go for a higher speed kit or more capacity? will a 6 core handle this load or should I go for an upgrade? I doubt I will need cat7 or fiber speeds, but will 1gb/s networking be enough or will this bottleneck? In short, I want to use my X99 as a "mini server" to the full extent that anyone would need a system like this for HOME USE ONLY not business, any other ways I could use this system to benefit in home use would be appreciated (i'm thinking of putting this PC behind a TV stand, which is a shame cause I've started painting the case out of boredom) REDUCE - REUSE - RECYCLE, I would rather find a way to Reuse this system then recycle/sell it on

Hi Everyone, I have a system that is currently very difficult to keep cool. I have tried a couple of different cases but ultimately the problem I run into is because I have the absolute worst cooling hardware on my GPU's for tripple SLI. I feel like it is pretty obvious why when you look at this picture: Essentially, I am looking at planning a watercooling loop because I have to run my cards at 70% to keep them under 69 degrees C. (yes, I could run them hotter, but I really don't want to.) I will post pics when I get home tonight of the build, and have them below this sentence explaining some of the limitations I am running into for liquid cooling. As you will see the cards are very long and are almost to the front of the case, by the time I put a 120x360 (will have to be a thin Rad) in front I won't have any room for a vertical Res. However, I do have a lot of space below my cards for some kind of horizontal Res. I also have enough room at the top to run a 45mm thick 120x240 rad with pull fans. I already own high static pressure fans from thermaltake called Riing that have orange LED rings. If anyone has any tips or thoughts about how to do this, and whether or not the liquid cooling will be effective with a thin 3x120 and a medium thick 2x120 with pull fans and in the loop including CPU and 3 GTX 980 classifieds. Or any tips about making this work inside the air 540, let me know. P.S. I know that 3x SLI is not always the most effective but I love to play MMO's in 7680x1440 and have 3 ROG Swift 27" making it worth it to me. I would like to play these games at ultra and around 100FPS or 3D around 30 FPS if possible. (already uses all 4gb of vram in each card when doing 3d and only runs at 20fps with 70% utilization of the card.)

Hi, i'm new to overclocking and stuff. Is this good enough?? Does the bus speed matter?? like 100MHz vs 125 MHz?

i have been having so rather long render times for different projects and was thinking about getting a new cpu, i already have 32 gigs of ddr3 ram so that is not the problem. mine is good a 4790k but i am a cinema major in college and i do a lot of editing on my rig, sometimes working on 2 or three videos at the same time and want to decrees the times per video so that i am able get the work done faster. i use avid on my pc (because i have to for class), was wondering if getting a 6 or even the 8 core i7 would help out and if it would be worth it. after school i am planning on using this rig for work so i can justify spending the extra on these also i will need to get new ram because of the ddr 4 ram use in the current cpu. so any way what do you think?

I will be using the Corsair Air 540 case. So the plan is to put 3x120mm Corsair AF120 gans in the front and 2x140mm's in the top of the case. I want to use the white LED ones. Hello, I do not know what to buy so I want you guys to help me decide. I am using computers for workstation and gaming. I want it to be balanced. I'm currently not entered the "workstation" thing so... yeah... I want to be designer so I'm planning to use this computer for 4 years at least. If you can pull out a spec with I7 5820k or I7 5930k in it, I would love to see it. My budget is $3000 at max.
