I Have no issues with it at all. 500w system. CPU-Z does not get the see it. But the bios and Window 11 and 10 Task Manager see it. I am actually Having problem. I'm planning to upgrade from an i5-3470 to an i7-3770. Selling my system for more modern hardware isn't really an option right now so a small upgrade is the best I can do. If the Q75 supports overclocking, I was going to spend a little extra for an i7-3770K. Even if it doesn't, should I still get a 3770K instead?

My PC is an old HP Compaq 6300 MT. It has a Q75 Express which has the PCI-e slot right below the CPU. I have a GALAX 1050Ti EXOC, I couldn't slot it in because the plastic shroud hits the CPU heatsink. So I had to unscrew the shroud from the GPU heatsink and just plopped it down on the heatsink diagonally. I couldn't even put the side panel back on because a small part of the shroud is poking out. I was considering a PCI-e riser and a vertical mount but this ancient case doesn't have a vertical slot. What can I do about it? Are there any weirdly shaped CPU coolers or some sort of magic bracket?

I'm trying to hold off making a new build until Zen 3 drops along with the 3000 series of RTX cards or Big Navi, but it's honestly getting quite painful gaming on this, especially the monitor. I'm only trying to play some simple games like Valorant at 1080p, ideally at 144Hz. The problem is I'm locked into the G Sync only monitors as the GPU doesn't support FreeSync, meaning a budget GPU upgrade or sidegrade to AMD and a budget 144Hz monitor is still going to set me back around £300 to £400 easy. Any advice? I know it's reporting an incompatibility with the CPU cooler, I don't know why, as it seems to be working? i have been tinkering around with my system and seeing just how much my already beastly i7 3770k can do. after a good rad cleaning yesterday i decided with my temps back to there normal lows to try for 4.8Ghz because i was fairly confident it would hit it. i was rite. with a +0.060V offset it was perfectly fine running 4.8Ghz. i even got a new high score of 874cb on cinebench R15. my only concern is the voltage it was running to achieve that. at max it was 1.312V -1.336V. i did a run with the offset at only +0.050V and it seemed to work perfectly fine. seeing as it was late i didn't stress test it for longer than 5 mins in Aida64. i have always thought that 1.350V was the max "safe" voltage. but even running that all the time would degrade the life of your CPU. the only thing keeping me from trying 4.9Ghz is the fear of blowing my CPU which is unimaginable. secondary is temps. i notice at 1.336 volts my temps seemed to spike. it could be an error though as my heater kicked in and my door was closed. i will probably be making some sort of follow up post to this so likely further testing will be done. i want to know once and for all from all of you. what do you consider the absolute safe limit voltage wise? is 1.350V really the limit at which you should stop? also what is the voltage recommendation for ivy bridge specifically? i look forward to all of your guys feedback and i will try to be active in the comments. please only serious answers. as always thank you for reading and have a nice day

Hi again everyone! I recently found an i7 3770k for around 150USD and I was wondering if it would be worth getting this CPU instead of waiting for a Coffee Lake overhaul. If I change my system to Coffee Lake I will have to change the Motherboard, RAM, CPU and it's going to be costly compared to simply getting the 3770k. But has the 3770k aged good? or for 150 USD is it not worth it? Thank You in advance!

Hey everyone! I have been sitting here on my i7 3770k and 760 fron gigabyte for quiet a while now, and i have figured a upgrade might be necessary soon. So ive looked around a bit and ive come to the conclusion that i would like to have a 1070 for 144hz 1080p gaming. But my other problems come with the other parts of the PC. I do really like my 3770k, even though its not overclocked (thinking of that just that) it preforms good in games and some light productivity. But my 12gb may be enough but they look ugly as hell and i would like a new pair of 16gb or such. (using 3x4gb atm). Now comes the real issue... my motherboard is a old one from a acer aspire x995, and i have tried before to put a 1060 inside it, but i did not really work out that good... i tried updating bios but no success there. So my big question is! Recommendations for upgrades? What 1070 to get? Keep old i7, or buy new everything? Would a 2½ year old 550 "be quiet" power supply still work? Fix for my motherboard/graphics card issue? Im very thankful for any replies, and or suggestions!

at the beginning of this year i was rebuilding my rig and swapping cpu's. i tested my currect cpu's overclock for 2 weeks learning about voltages along the way and other things. i finally settled on 4.7Ghz with a +0.045V offset and it worked fairly well up until summer. since then i have had to up the voltage offset to +0.055V to keep it stable. initially i think i had the voltage just a little too low. my main concern now is my system appears to be unstabilizing again.just this morning i had a 5 cycle boot loop and then my system started with my overclock turned off. i can easily narrow it down to two main concerns. either my oc is just too unstable at 4.7Ghz and it's finally time to turn it back down to 4.6Ghz or the constant switching between 1.6Ghz to 4.7Ghz has finally taken it's toll. i would very much like to have my cpu running 4.7Ghz all the time instead of bouncing dramatically as it does at the moment. i am asking the more experienced of you out there to give me your knowledge so i can still use my system at this awesome oc. i hope there is a solution that doesn't require me to downclock. thank you all for reading and i look forward to your responses.

I will try to make this really short. So I build my pc in 2012, now it has this specs: Actual pc: I5 3470 2x4gb & 2x8gb ram ddr3 Msi Z77A motherboard Gtx 1050 Power supply is 650w i dunno if it is 80+ or something. So my problem is whether I buy a used i5 3570k or i7 3770k and upgrade my gpu or try to build a new pc in the end of 2019, from almost 0. My plan is to try to buy a 3570k, buy a good heat sink and upgrade my gpu and try to oc to be able to stream game at 720p or maybe 1080p. Also I might buy a 144hz monitor, I want to buy it before the upgrade, but I don't know if I will be able to play games with my actual pc. So in conclusion, first Q' is: should I upgrade my i5 3470 to a 3570k or i7 3770k (best ones for my socket) in 2019? Second Q' is: Can I play in a 144hz monitor with my actual pc, games in low settings but with high fps?

Hi there, A few months ago I bought a RTX 2070 after my R9 280x had died. I had 2 60hz monitors at the time, and decided to buy a BenQ XL2411P, along with borrowing a XL2411Z from my brother. The 2070 has no DVI output, and the XL2411Z has no DisplayPort input so I was stuck with 60hz over HDMI because afaik the XL2411Z doesn't support higher refresh rates than 60 (I would resort to buying an active DisplayPort to DVI converter but since I'm only borrowing this monitor and I'd rather not waste money on something that might not even work I was fine with running 60hz). I wanted to hook my Nintendo Switch up to my XL2411Z over hdmi, so I decided to connect my XL2411Z with a DVI cable to my motherboard (ASRock Z77 Extreme4) that has a i7-3770k in it and was wondering if it's maybe possible to run my XL2411Z at 144hz now since I'm using DVI which I know supports 144hz. I've read that the Intel Graphics 4000 does output 144hz over DVI but Windows only shows me 59hz and 60hz, same thing in the Intel Control Panel. Is it actually possible to run 144hz off off the DVI port on my motherboard, and if so, how do I change my refresh rate to 144hz? Would love to hear from you guys.

Hi guys! I'm having a bit of trouble when playing Dota 2. My gpu usage is just around 50-60% and I do not get the full performance of my graphics card. I also noticed that my fps is stable during the early stage of the game, but when I reach the mid-late game my fps gets worse. It'll go down below 100 fps and the game feels sluggish during that time. This only happens when I'm playing dota 2. Other AAA games are fine, tho. I also tried OC'ing both my gpu and cpu, then reverted back to default. Both settings give the same result. I hope someone can give me a solution with this problem. Thanks in advance! btw, this is my specs: i7 3770k @4.4.ghz MSI GTX 1060 6gb MSI z77a-g45 2x4 1600 ram Corsair CX750M

Hi guys, I purchased an used i7 3770k to replace my 2600 non-k, today it arrived so first thing I did was: removing the old cpu installing the new one, applied some artic silver thermal pasted, mounted the corsair AIO and turned on the machine a screen appared telling me a new cpu was installed press f1 for bios to set-up, so I did and then pressened F10 and saved changes (i didin't knew what else to do) After it booted I ran Aida64 with stress test, it ran like 2 minutes at 100% with 75º (corsair pump in performance and fans at performance) then it crashed I was NOT overclocking just stock settings and boom blue screen of death Restarted the PC and ran PUBG, it ran well for 3 minutes before going to the plane phase it crashed again blue screen of death I will run it again to take a picture of the error, I'm sorry I don't have it yet but will update ASAP please help! I never heard of a broken CPU EDIT 1: Opened Aida64 to stress test again to take the picture of the blue screen error and saw this in the program:

Firstly Merry Christmas! This has been annoying me for a number of weeks as I just can’t decide to make a move or not. My current set up: i7 3770k with a msi gtx 980, i play a lot of arma 3 and record ocassioanlly stream my game play at same time. Im using an SSD also. Ive been toying with the idea of upgrading but looking at current bench marks and i dont think im going to gain much frames. Ive mainly been looking at going down the intel 8700k route but ive also been looking at a 1800x and 1900x im really not sure tho! what do use guys/gals suggest should i make the move and pick up the parts in the boxing day sales or should i look at upgrading other parts with my current rig? look forward to your replies.

Currently I have an i7 3770k @ 4.5ghz, 16Gb of ram at 1866mhz (plan on going to microcenter and if they have another kit I might go to 32GB) would this bottleneck a single GTX 1080? If not what about two? At first I don't plan on buying two 1080's but it might happen eventually) I plan on triple 1080p gaming. From what I've heard the 1080 is bottlenecked by older i5's and some i7's (at stock speeds). Thanks guys, if you need anymore info don't hesitate to ask.

Wow, I found the A+++ winner for ridiculous ebay listings guys. I was dumbfounded by this. A CPU from 2013, not working, at that price. Maybe their motherboard was fucked but I doubt they only tested it on one motherboard or that wasn't working. This person has no idea you can't repair CPUs ???. I have lost a lot of respect for anybody who sells dead components or semiconductors like that at a premium. The CPU is dead, recycle it and move on

Since i can not log into my main account right now I will just psot on this new one. I currently have my 3770k at 4.6GHz which was never properly stressed but while gaming it never crashed on me for moths so I suppose it is fine however I am using a very basic way my mobo offers. no it is not the auto OC but something similar. It is called OC Genie and what it boiled down to is that I set my multiplier and a core voltage. That is 4.6GHz and 1.305Volts. I am not getting anywhere above 75C but I would certainly like to save some power so i can run my fans slower and make the whole thing a little bit quieter. I don't know what the power saving features are though. From what I remember one of the few things turned of in the OC menue "C1e state" was one of them. I don't know anything to specific about how processors work but I know that they enter different states dedending on the load scenario. Has anybody experience with this platform or can just tell me from the top of his head what to look for? Any help is appreciated. EDIT: If the options in the program I can use to modify the BIOS int the OS are the same then I was wrong about the C1E state thing.... Are there other things to look out for. If you have questions I can just check wheter something is on or not really fast so feel free to ask.
