I'm using an 8GB GamingX RX480 on a 1680x1050 monitor. According to every benchmark in existence, I should never be getting under 60fps at maxed out settings in new games like DOOM and Arkham Knight. Instead, I get 45fps at high-normal settings, no post-FX. I have run several benchmarking programs, including Furmark, Userbenchmark, and both Firestrike and Time Spy in 3DMark. Each of those programs say my rig is performing better than most similar builds. However, I have yet to see proof of that. I have no idea what could be causing my issues, everything is said to be fine. help plz

Is buying a used i5 3570K for £90 a good idea over a new i5 6400 (£170) or a used i5 4460 (£125) a good idea? I'd pair it with a 480 or 1060, and if i got the 3570K I'd buy a hyper 212 EVO or the like and a Z77 board, whereas the 4460 and 6400 i'd pair with a h81/h110 board and the stock cooler. The used CPU's would be bought from Cex, who give a warranty, and if i cant find a Z77 board for a reasonable price, i'd buy a non k cpu to save more money. Which would be the best option, or should i go for a 2500k or some other haswell/haswell refresh/ivy bridge/sandy bridge i5?

Hello Guys, My question is if my i5 3570k @4,2GHz (will go higher when i get myself a decent watercooling) will bottleneck a gtx 1070 at 1200p It would be nice if someone tested that setup in some games and i would appreciate it if you guys would share your results. Speculations are welcome too

Hey guys, i need answer for this one, like seriously need answer. i bought this computer couple months ago with i5 3570k with a motherboard that doesn't support overclocking (i wasn't as smart as before and at that time i thought every motherboard could do wireless internet and overclocking). After that, i just went with it and saving up my money to buy gtx 1070. Now the real question, "is it a good idea to buy gtx 1070 for my build?" (im not planning to upgrade my graphic card in a while) If it a good idea, im planning to buy it from newegg on boxing day. PLEASE I NEED ANSWER!!! every answer will be appreciated, thank you

So I'm currently running an i5 3570k overclocked at a nice and stable 4.6Ghz. Rest of my specs include a GTX 1070, specs are also in my signature. I was wondering whether it would make any sense to upgrade to Ryzen, let say the R7 1700(X)? One benefit I could think of regardless of performance is that a new mainboard would give me access to things like M.2 or USB 3.2 Would it be worth it performance wise though? I'm not sold at all for gaming since everything runs fine but I also do a lot of movie ripping and using handbrake, where I heard that Ryzen would perform much better. Keep in mind though that it would mean about a 650€ investment for the 1700x, x370 mainboard and 16 Gigs of DDR4 RAM... So, should I consider this upgrade or not?

Hi, i've recently bought a second hand GTX 1070ti and i've noticed i have extremely low FPS on games compared to same CPU+GPU combo. For example this video on Apex Legends, shows 70+ FPS when dropping in game while i am stuck at 20+ FPS on low settings. I've tried reinstalling my GPU drivers with DDU already and i've only gained like 5 fps. This is my config, i know the components are not really adaptated to the GPU but i do not believe it is the source of my low FPS. CPU: Intel I5 3570k OC to 4.4GHz GPU: GTX 1070 ti inno3d herculez design SSD: Samsung evo 860 RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4 Gb DDR3 (1600Mhz) + Corsair Dominator 4Go 2x2 Go DDR3 (1600Mhz) -> 12GB in total PSU: EVGA 600 W1, 80+ WHITE 600W MOBO: Asrock Z77 Pro-4 m I'd like to give you some recordings of my PC activity to help you diagnostise my case but i don't know which software to use, tell me and i'll do it English is not my main language, if anything isn't clear please ask me. Thanks for your help

I will try to make this really short. So I build my pc in 2012, now it has this specs: Actual pc: I5 3470 2x4gb & 2x8gb ram ddr3 Msi Z77A motherboard Gtx 1050 Power supply is 650w i dunno if it is 80+ or something. So my problem is whether I buy a used i5 3570k or i7 3770k and upgrade my gpu or try to build a new pc in the end of 2019, from almost 0. My plan is to try to buy a 3570k, buy a good heat sink and upgrade my gpu and try to oc to be able to stream game at 720p or maybe 1080p. Also I might buy a 144hz monitor, I want to buy it before the upgrade, but I don't know if I will be able to play games with my actual pc. So in conclusion, first Q' is: should I upgrade my i5 3470 to a 3570k or i7 3770k (best ones for my socket) in 2019? Second Q' is: Can I play in a 144hz monitor with my actual pc, games in low settings but with high fps?

Hi, so my PC has been turned off for like 3 months or so, and now when I turn it on, the fans ramp up then it turns off again the it turns on then nothing happens no display, so I took it the mobo out of the chassis to diagnose the problem and troubleshoot, then I tryed taking a ram stick out, and I took the CMOS batteey out to reset the bios, then it worked and the mobo logo showed, but that happened once, then I tryed putting the other ram stick and it didn't work and the red ram led was on, so I took the ram out again and it kept turning on and off until it worked and booted to windows, I turned it off overnight then it booted to windows this morning, then I tried putting the other ram stick again, and since then it turned on and I could get into bios like once to reset the settings to default, since then it just turns on but no display on the monitor. Specs: i5 3570k no OC. 2x8 16GB Hyperx Fury DDR3 1600MHz. Asus p8z77-v. Asus GTX 1050Ti 4GB Cerberus. Oh I forgot to mention the last time before I could get into bios it kept failing to post, then it posted and I got the message overclocking failed, even though the OC Settings I had before should not have worked cause I reset the bios by taking out the CMOS battery, IDK if the issue is in the memory or the mobo, so help, please. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

Hello I was installing my new graphics card the other day when I decided to try and squeeze the 4th RAM stick into my motherboard (the 4th dim is slightly obscured by the CPU cooler fan). After a failed attempt I was inspired to undertake a slight modification (inspired by Linus) to make the RAM fit. Hot glue in place I fired up the PC and it started fine. When I was running a benchmark to see the improvement in graphics I now had I noticed only 8gb of ram was showing (i previously had 12gb, 3x 4gb sticks). I turned the PC off and pulled out the RAM to try and see if re-seating it would solve the issue. And since then I have not been able to get the PC to post. System powers on and all fans run, hard drive spins up, but no post code. I have unplugged everything leaving only the motherboard and CPU in place and still no post. I am totally gutted, however as it looks like my mod has buggered my system. I am looking to buy a replacement part but not sure how to tell if it's the motherboard I have broken, or the CPU (possibly by the pressure of my fan mod)? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading.

I overclocked my i5 3570K to 4.5GHz with 1.256 volts. 1st Question. Is it a good overclock for this chip? - One small problem, max temps are 86C with Prime95 Small FFT. My cooler is the Hyper 212 EVO 2nd Question. Will probably replace it with Corsair H100i v2 or H105. Do you think I can push it up to 4.8GHz? Thank you! Small details... I live in a tropical country I have 3 case fans

I'm in a position where I can buy a 3570k and a z68 mobo for ~£110.Should I buy the 3570k and overclock (~4.5-4.8ghz) or save up for a 6600k. DDR4 isn't very appealing to me and I'm just looking for straight performance. I would probably eventually upgrade to the 1150 platform or the next chipset but that would be later rather than sooner if I bought the 3570k.I'll be running the CPU alongside a GTX 660, and I'd be upgrading from a i3 3220.How does a OC i5 3570k stack up to newer CPUs and is it still a relevant CPU?

So I've been looking at upgrading my PC for a while now...i have this topic- I have upgraded my gpu slightly as was a good deal(swap with 670 and some money) and I now have a r9 280x and I am considering a motherboard upgrade as I may have a use for my current mb/cpu but ONLY if it is worth it, so basically asking, upgrade to an i5 3570k or buy a new mb/6th gen cpu? (budget under £150 for 3rd gen and under £250-ish for 6th gen, willing to buy pre-owned)

hello people i want to ask you guys if there is any need to upgrade my cpu? i have it for 2.5 years now and added a h100 to OC @4.5 ghz a year ago i see that a i5 6600K doesn't make a big difference if fps in gaming and i don't really need a i7 bcs i only game. it's probably time to upgrade gpu but what do you guys think?

So right now, I'm on this build 16GB DDR3 1600mhz RAM 2x 500GB SSDs 3TB Caviar Green i5 3570k @ 4.2ghz Corsair CX 750W PSU and a 780ti @ 1150 mhz So, there's a couple things I could do. 1) Build a new rig altogether which would take me until probably around middle of 2017 2) Just get a 1070 (Or 1080) and keep my current platform, which leaves the question of bottlenecking Which do you think? I'm running an ROG Swift so I would certainly benifit from an upgrade, I'm just not sure that the platform I'm currently on could handle a GTX 1080 decently at 1440p. What do you guys think?

This is the first time I am OCing a cpu.The chip used is a used i5 3570k on a Gigabyte z77 d3h mobo with evo 212 cooler. OCed it using the seller's previous numbers. OC at 4.5ghz @ 1.260V, i entered 1.255V on the bio thou (the defaut is 1.10v). This info I found on youtube: Disabled intel turbo technology in the bios (should I leave it enabled?). 1.650V for CPU PLL. The max temperature from prime95 torture test were: Core 1=73 C, Core 2=75 C, Core 3= 79 C, Core 4= 70 C. Idle Temps: at 33-37 C Gaming temp, CSGO 1080p mostly high effects with 8x MSAA: all cores 60~68, game crashed 1 time not sure if this was the CPU problem or just random crash. (Later I played some Tree of savior also crashed once). I was googling other people's specs and found some say their cpu is around 65 C on prime95 torture test. Some people say 80 C is too high, other say 90 C or below is good. Not sure if I should OC it more or try run at 4.2ghz for lower core temps. So what is a good tempearture for OCed CPU I would like to run this chip for 2-3 years. the seller says he used this chip for 3 years 1month. Should I delid it? There is a 9 degree difference between the lowest core and highest core probally from old TIM? I applied a good amount of silver artic 5 to make sure that it is not the heatsink and IHS contact problem.

Hello everyone a while a go i bought an extra ram upgrade for my system but now im having some trouble. First i will start off with full sys specs than i will explain what's wrong. Asus Sabertooth P67, Intel I5 3570K, 4X4 gig Corsair Vengance 1600Mhz DDR3, Asus AMD R9 270X Top CU II factory overclock'd, 750Watts coolermaster Power sup. Samsung EVO850 120Gig SSD, Western Digital Black Caviar 1TB 6G/s. Windows 10 Pro 64Bit So i have bought 2X4gig ddr3 ram for my system as i wanted to run an game server offline but i was running 8gb 2x4 already. But my game server required minimum of 10gb to run stable so i went out bought an extra 2x4 gig to upgrade to 16GB total. Once i putted in my extra ram i started my computer went into bios and it was still showing 8 gig of total memory. Shutted down my system and took a look if everything was connected corectly it was. restarted my system. And again still showing 8 gig. So i went into my bios lists and there it show'd all 4 ram cards so it was detecting it. shutted down my computer again. And went testing all 4 ram slots on my motherboard 1by1 and all 4 where wekring propperly. After that i tested my ram modules one by one to see if there where bad onece so ran memtest on all of em in 2 difrent systems. And they where all good i lookd up the specs of my CPU and by intel it is suporting dual channel ram. But still i cant figure out why it keeps showing 8 gig while i have a support up to 32gig. I already try'd things like checking memory settings in windows it didnt work. If annyone is able to help me out i would be so happy. Also as in the youtube vid of linus trying to overclock the 30K$ pc as soon as he hitted the OC Tuner the system went down and needed reset. I have try'd the same thing on my system and the same thing hapend is there anny way around it to be actualy able to use OC Tuner. Without having the system to shutdown and not post again. 160219032307.BMP

Last night i decide to play some heartstone. Turn on pc, log on, play a hour or two and then i leave heading to YouTube to play a song. Launch Chrome and then i heard my cpu fans going to 100% in no time. I reach as fast i could to mouse, and launch speccy (i like ui on that one) to check for cpu temps. Around 80*c i saw then i smeled some kind of burning (not first one in life, so i get scared) and blue screen with ,,your pc run into problem, wait till we gatter data and troubleshoot it (or something like that)''. I didn't wait, i force turn off pc. This morning i opened my case and near cpu fan cables where white compound. Just like termal paste. I get cooler out, re-apply termal paste and turn pc again. First it show text like ,,reparing your drive'' ( i assume because force shootdown) and after it get to 100% my pc turned on. Check tempereature and idle was around 35-40*c and same while i writing this topic in chrome. Problem is fixed (for good i hope!) but what cause it ? Can it be some stucked proggres in background, chrome or battle net being kinda ,,buggy'' ? Feel kinda paranoid (a lot!) becase 4mnths ago my pc burend cause of lighting and now i'm scared like crazy that this new one don't burn too !

Is it me or is it very hard to find LGA 1155 Z77 chipset motherborads, other than in amazon ofc, is my 3570k really that hated I've only found the MSI MPower big bang mobo in my local store, thats it should I get a new gen mobo/cpu or just get a better mobo? currently I own a gigabyte DS3H-H77 motherboard which is alright, but doesn't support overclocking sadly, what do you guys think?

so I recently (today) got my Z77 Mpower motherboard, just for the sole reason of overclocking, I used to own an H77 motherboard and it was a stupid beginner mistake when i got it with the 3570k and now I'm a beginner again when it comes to over clocking so far I got to 4.0 Ghz at 1.1V, I tried going to 4.2 but it just crashes or blue screens, I don't know what to do now, should I bump more voltage? put in mind that I'm using a 650w PSU, all of my specs are in the sig bellow, I haven't updated the motherboard, I will when I get around to it lol anyways, so yeah what should I do now?

so i was wondering if its possible without running into bottlenecks? an MSI MPOWER Z77 board will be arriving to me today or tomorrow, and since it supports SLI and I already have a 970 I wanted to get another one. I'll be overclocking my 3570k to around 4.4 or 4.2 depending on which is more stable without raising the voltage over 1.225 specs are in my sig, thanks

Alright so after deciding that I won't upgrade to haswell or skylake when they come out, I decided to get a Z77 motherboard, because I already have a OC capable CPU, I just need the motherboard I currently have a GA-H77-DS3H mobo anyways here are my options AsRock Z77-OC-Formula MSI Z77 MPOWER AsRock Z77 Extreme 4 Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H one more question I have a cooler master T4 CPU cooler what kind of overclock I'm expecting? and on what voltage? thanks I will be responding when I'm back home!
