i did ask for watercooling for corsair 280x case on corsair forum, employe responded that i can for 2x 240 slim rads, pump also does fit but cpu and gpu waterblock doesnt fit. i use asus rog strix z390-i mobo, he said that cpu waterblock collapse with vrm's.... i dont know why the gpu dont support it (gigabyte windforce oc rtx 2080) does anyone know why the gpu doesnt support? also is there a alternative for cpu and gpu block that can plug to icue ? (maybe EK, but idk from where you control the rgb..)

Iam gonna buy the new hydro x series custom cooling from corsair for my corsair 280x case, can i fit 2 rads in it ? which rad needs to be on front and top for cpu and gpu ? Case 280x (398mm x 276mm x 351mm) XR5 240mm (280mm x 120mm x 30mm) (30mm thick) (Fin Spacing 16 FPI 25 Micron Copper Fins) XR5 280mm (310mm x 140mm x 30mm) (30mm thick) (Fin Spacing 16 FPI 25 Micron Copper Fins) XR7 240mm (275mm x 120mm x 55mm) (55mm thick) (Fin Spacing 13 FPI 25 Micron Copper Fins) Which rads can i add to my case for top cooling perf., does the thick boi fit in that case? Hi, I've gotten to the point where I can no longer stand the annoying aircraft engine coming from my Desktop. I'm currently still using the stock fans that came with my Corsair Hydro Series H100i which I've now discovered are the problem. So really I'm just wanting to know would it make a difference replacing the fans on my CPU cooler? Cheers.

If you dont know, Norsk Hydro (Norweigan Hydro translated) is one of the worlds biggest aluminium producers, with 35 000 people in 40 countries. Its 34,26% owned by Norwegian Goverment. -PCMag The result is that they had to run factories in higher degree of manual operation, and ditch their worksations for smarphones and tablets, as they werent affected. -BBC With manual, They actually just mean automatic communication between different places and factories to make it more efficent probably, because the PLCs and stuff was not affected. That probably means those doing it did not aim or did not have the expertise to do more damage, they most likely just wanted to get some money. They did choose to keep some of the (smaller) factories offline instead of running them in "manual" tho. From what I can find, it affected their factories in US and Europe, but not those other countries. -PCMag Their website also went down. The attack orginated in their systems in the US. At this time, as far as I know, their systems and website is back up and running. They did not pay the ransom, they where able to restore the systems from backups because "good backup systems and routines" Norway's state cyber-security agency was/is helping them deal with it. It is now under investigation by PST (Police Security Service), Kripos (National Criminal Investigation Service), E-tjenesten (intelligence Service) and Europool. My Opinion. I wish things like this wouldnt happen, but it does, thats the world we live in. Its really good that they had good backup systems they used to restore the systems without paying the ransom, but maybe their systems, routines and teaching of employees wasnt good enough to stop it. (it would never be good enough for every possible situation, but still). Maybe someone there opened the wrong email or whatever? Hey everyone, been about 7 years away from the forums, I'm 22 now, and glad to be back in the LTT community. I am starting to source parts for a very custom rig, and have ordered two GTX 580 Hydro Copper 2 cards to run in SLI on this system. I have some experience with liquid cooling, and I'm looking for suggestions on glass piping, compression seals, radiators, pumps, etc. I understand this will be quite a project but I am excited to document the building process and hopefully remember to share it here with you all. Thus far, I have 8GB (2x4) DDR3 1866 RAM (beautiful VIPER sticks that are very difficult to find), an i5 4690K CPU, and the 2 GPU's. Any and all info on finding the proper parts is appreciated! Cheers.

Geez, i’m Starting to rely on this forum. recently, I found a cpu cooler. It is a bit old, but it is better than the Intel stock cooler, so I’m going to put it in my pc. but when I took of the fan to clean it, I discovered that the fan is a Sunon Maglev fan. The maglev fan is old and dusty, but it was a maglev fan. So I just need to know: should I replace the old fan with a new hydro bearing fan? Which is better (last longer and more quiet)?

Has anyone tried / tested the above mentioned PSU? Are they any good and worth getting it since they're relatively cheaper for a fully modular gold rated PSU. https://www.techpowerup.com/239386/fsp-launches-the-80-plus-gold-all-modular-hydro-ge-psu

I currently have an option to grab brand new GTX 980Ti Hybrid from EVGA with water cooler included. Comparing it with EVGA 1070 SC it is even cheaper, see below: http://eu.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=08G-P4-6173-KR http://eu.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-1996-KR How different are these two GPUs? There are tons of articles and all I can gather is that GTX 1070 does not OC well on air or at all, where I could get 15% boost in most cases on watercooled GTX 980Ti and still be around 40C delta. Other than extra 50W of power consumption on extreme load to me it seems no brainer...

So, I finally came around to selling enough stuff on ebay to afford the Corsair Hydro H75... Well, ok. I could afford the corsair H75, H60, H55, Seidon 120v, etc. But after looking at all the reviews, I went with the H75. One is because it was on sale on amazon for $75, and two, it seemed to hit the sweet spot for performace/value. Does anyone have the Corsair H75? If so, let me know if it was worth getting, because it is currently on it's way to my house. I plan to be OCing my Pentium G3258 at 1.39v to even 1.4v if it can handle it. Oh yeah, and I hope to hit 5.0Ghz :3 The cooler in question:http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-series-h75-liquid-cpu-cooler

Hey guys. After playing GTA V for all of about 10 minutes, my GPU (AMD R9 290 Reference) gets stupidly loud. I've had my card now for well over a year and I think it's time I upgraded to water cooling for quieter operations. The only problem is, I have never water cooled before so I have no idea what I am looking for. While searching around, I noticed Corsair did a Hydro Series attachment for AMD R9 290 reference cards which is the Corsair Hydro Series HG10 A1 Edition GPU. I'm not planning on water cooling my CPU as it runs within decent temps and the stock cooler is rather quiet. So now this lands me with two questions. 1. Is this a good route to take? If so, which cooler should I get to use with this attachment? 2. If not, what are my other options?

So I'm looking for a mATX case that I can water cool in. I want to have two closed loop coolers, not a custom loop, so no reservoirs or pumps. I want to cool the CPU with a 240mm rad, and the GPU with a 120/140mm rad (using corsair HG10 N970). All of the cases that I have looked at say that they can support a 240mm rad or a 120/140mm rad, but none say if there is clearance for having both. So my question is, what are some of the well regarded cases that fall under the specs above? Thanks Budget is around 100, could go over if there is reason too. (For any confusion: the HG10 allows AIO CPU coolers to be mounted to a GPU)

Hey there, i was wondering what kind of % loss id get in gaming if i'm going to go with a dual 980ti setup with a 28 lane 5820k over getting the 5930k with 40 lanes. am i able to run 2 gpus at all with the 5820k 28 lanes, or is it just a performence % loss?

Hello forum I've been looking to get a water cooler for my build, but i dont know which one will fit the best. I've been looking at the h75 and the h80i (the price gap is no problem), but i know know which one will fit the best in my case (Fractal Define Design Mini). I'd like it to be in the front of my pc, but is the tube long enogh? And if it doesnt, should i put it at the top or rear, and where will it fit? And also, where do i connect the pump? I got an Asrock z97m anniversary Thank you! Simon

Most people like the Corsair h110 but imo i like the led on the nzxt but then the h110i but it is still not the best looking thing so i wnat to know what is the best performance wise and the gaps between them

Hey guys It's Keelan I have a few questions regarding the hydro series h60... Right Now I have the cooler master k280 http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/k280/ Cooler master recommend that at the top back there should be a exhaust fan as I'm running right now. (scroll down on the k280 page for case fans setup recommendations) I don't have much knowledge of water cooling but how would I configure the 120mm fan that comes with the h60 to be a exhaust while still having the radiator attached to the back... Im not sure If maybe I can switch my back top fan to be a intake because I heard getting air from the outside of the case is best. I would then make the side panel a exhaust? Also the fan that I have at the back top right now will be used at the front as a intake as it's more efficient then the stock one that I have right now. (So all together Ill have 4 fans but ill remove the front one and replace it with the old back one) I'm sorry if this is a little confusing ask away haha;)

I'm about to buy a new case this weekend and I've been torn between the Fractal R5 and S all week long. I'm trying to plan for now and for future use. Now H100i EVGA GTX 980 Ti ACX 2.0+ Later H100i EVGA GTX 980 Ti Corsair HG10 980 w/ probably an H80i or something along those lines. Maybe another 980 Ti when I go 4k. Notes: Only 1TB SSD no HDD's, no optical drives. So, here was my plan Fractal S H100i in the front top. GTX 980 w/ H80i in front bottom. 140mm or 120mm rear exhaust (So you have all RADS in front as intakes. Allows me to keep the top modular vents closed to retain silence and positive air pressure) Fractal R5 (setup 1) H100i in front where the 2 fans go 980's H80i on bottom, however I'm concerned the H100i being on the front and me having an EVGA 750w G2 PSU would not allow this. Can't seem to find the same setup. (Then of course if I got another 980 it would have to be in rear as exhaust if I still wanted modular vents up top closed.) Fractal R5 (setup 2) H100i in front but shifted up after removing the 5.25 bays. So the H100's bottom fan screws into the R5's top fan and the top fan just screws directly into the RAD (Problem with this is only secure to chassis by one location and no filter in that top front opening after taking out 5.25's.) 980's H80i then below the h100i where the R5's front bottom fan is. (Then if got a second 980, that H80i in the bottom mount closest to the front.) Concerns I'm not sure if any of this would work as laid out. I also don't know between the 2 cases which is best for this kind of setup where your using all AIO's. Also as far as sound goes I know the S doesn't have sound dampening material on the front panel, I don't know, considering how many AIO's I will have in front, if that sound dampening material would make a huge difference in noise when comparing the R5 and S to each other.

Hey guys! im new to LinusTechTips, awesome place to be i have a Noob question maybe?... i got a Corsair Hydro H60 a couple of months ago, it hasn't performed bad or anything, but my issue is that one the holes where the screw's go in the radiator... when changing my fans i accidentaly put the whole screw and got trough all the way to the other side... i kind of turn my self into panic mode there, because i noticed that every other hole on the radiator doesnt seems to have an exit.. should i expect a leak? does it matter? what can i do to prevent any damage?. thank you so much for your time and have a great day ! ps. i have monitored the radiator for hours with my pc case open, and havent seen any leak or anything. but still, it worries me.

So I'm in the market for a new build. I decided to go with the GIGABYTE GA-Z97N-Gaming 5 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard and a Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell Quad-Core 4.0GHz LGA 1150 Desktop Processor BX80646I74790K. I clearly am going for a SFF mITX build as I'm going to be traveling a bit. MY question simply is will the Corsair h100i that I currently have work in this case with/without modding. I planed on putting the fans on the inside where they normally are put, and then put the radiator on the top part. I feel like it's possible, just wanted to know if anyone has done or could look into this. If you don't have a clue, please don't flame. Worst case scenario I'll either just get the Corsair 250D or just get the hadron and figure it out here.

Can you add a corsair hydro series liquid cooler to a gigabyte brix? Would it fit and what are the fan sizes and would it have space for the radiator? Here's the links for the pc's - http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4888#ov, http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5096#ov

Hi all mighty LTT forum gods, im thinking of possibly making a small form factor (ITX) water cooling system for just a "why not?" sort of thing and was looking at the EVGA hadron hydro case and its water cooling kit plus the slim optical drive for it, was wondering how noob friendly is it since ive never actually done water cooling before and is it possible to get it shipped from NCIX to Australia? would get it in Australia but can only get the case since the PC website i use's supplier doesnt have it as ive already asked, and any other tips and tricks yous could give me in the case would be awesome, thanks for reading.
