I was wondering if someone could please help me figure out what I need to connect this RGB mess that I have together. I don't know what hubs or splitters I need. Here is my build so far listed below. Each set of AL120 120mm fans came with a fan hub and the strimer 24pin came with a controller as well. The Halos are 12v, the RGB strips are 5V and the GPU anti-sag bracket is 5v. There is also an RGB strip built into the front of the case which I'm not sure what that is. I want to control everything(or as much as I can) with Aura Sync on my motherboard ideally. There will not any SATA drives connected to this PC btw though I still need a header left for the front USBs. Hi, guys. I am at a lost here. I purchased a lesser known laptop brand (but quite well known in my country, Malaysia) called Illegear. It has a TB4 port and I usually use that port to connect a hub that has my wireless keyboard, mouse and HDMI connected to it. Most of the time, I turn on my laptop, close the lid and just work through my external monitor. I notice that whenever I disconnect the hub and open the lid of my laptop, the screen is blank and unresponsive. The power light is on but nothing can wake it up. The only thing I can do is force shutdown and turn it on again. On the other hand, if i shutdown my laptop while still connected to the hub, I can then disconnected the hub and turn it on again by pressing the power button on the laptop. I think while turned on, the laptop freezes when I disconnect the hub because if I try to remote control the laptop using teamviewer, it says the laptop is unavailable. I would appreciate if someone could shed some light on what is happening. Either a hardware or software issue. Here are the links to the laptop product page and other peripherals I am using : Laptop : https://www.illegear.com/illegear-arte/ Type C hub : https://www.ugreen.com/products/10-in-1-usb-c-hub

I recently got a new laptop with only 2 USB-A and one USB-C ports. I have 3 external screens - HDMIx2 and VGA. I have a borrowed Dell D6000 that can do 1 hdmi and 1 display port which is fine for my old laptop which has a second hdmi port. However, all the hubs I try off Amazon, even if they say they can do 3 screens, fail to do so, and many refuse to display one of my screens - VIZIO VM230XVT. I am using hdmi for it and it works fine with the Dell. I was given the idea to daisy chain two hubs and although neither can send a signal to the VIZIO individually or together, the VIZIO does work with the Dell, AND can display if the Dell hub is plugged into either of the amazon hubs. Can anyone post links on how USB-C hubs work, or help me get my set-up working on my own hardware? I would greatly prefer if I could get the 3 screens working through 1 USB even if two hubs, under $60 total or at least under $100. Ports on laptop: 2 x USB-A (version 3.1 Gen 2) 1 x USB-C® (version 3.1 Gen 2 with USB Power Delivery revision 3.0) To reiterate - the laptop can definitely run the issue screen (through the borrowed Dell hub) AND run all three screens if the Dell is put through another hub. I want to know what is going on, and I want to buy a solution for cheap while Dell hubs run a few hundred dollars ($200-500).

Its pretty common for laptops to have usb c ports that with hubs/dock be split off to HDMI, ethernet, several usb, etc. Can the same be said for usb c ports from a computer's motherboard/usb c pcie expansion? What do I need to look for in pcie expansion cards to have that capability? I'm in a situation where I need to constantly move my pc between my Living room for and my room fairly frequently until I can save up for a dedicated pc in the living room. I think having a usb c hub ready in my room already setup to my drawing monitor/monitor/keyboard will save me a lot of time fumbling with ports and shit.

hello ltt community, I want to ask for your help, recently, I finished assembling my pc, but at the time of the distribution of rgb connectors to the argb hub, I found a problem and that is that I am overloading the argb hub that came with my motherboard ( asus crosshair viii extreme), I know that it is an overload to the controller because when I connect all the leds they fail but when I disconnect some they regulate automatically, now I need to buy 2 additional hubs since I have 16 fans to distribute, hopefully you can recommend me some that be from rgb to argb, because these are the "new technologies" so to speak, my hub is the following, it is asus as you can see but it only came as exclusive to the motherboard, and I think this razer chroma v2 can help me I hope you can help me by recommending some hubs, to avoid overloading the main one, so in a nutshell I need a hub for fans and argb or just argb and that is compatible with aura sync, thanks for your help LTT community

So my mobo has two internal headers for front panel usb female. 3.1 gen 1 (3.0 5gbps to my understanding) and 3.1 gen 2. Now my case only has the 3.1 g1 for actual connecting but I want to find a 3.1 g2 front panel header hub so I can mod my case and make use of both. My question and what I need help with is 2 fold. 1. Does such a thing exist as I have found 3.1 gen1 but all but not ones for just gen 2 2. Also can one be found in the type-A format as I have no use for type c Keep in mind this is all pluging into the internal 3.1 gen 2 header on the moatherboard not pouring into the back of rear io for an expanded usb hub.

Hello everyone, My work recently purchased a surface pro 6 for me (they wouldn't wait for the 7) and I'm having some issues with lack of I/O availability. Only I/O is Mini display port and a single USB3 So I have been looking for a good USB 3.0 hub with the following requirements. (ive seen a few with display port pass-through) Full Sized SD card reader HDMI Ethernet A Few USB 3.0 ports I Would prefer a hub with a cable rather than directly attached to the surface. Price doesn't really matter. I would love some recommendations and links. Thanks for the help!

Hey there I am an IT student with a gaming laptop, I use it for college and gaming. I was wondering if I could get any help with buying the right hub so that when I come home from college I can easily plug only one cable to my computer, in contrast to plugging 7 cables every single day, moreover I don't really have a good place to put my laptop, I put it under my desk... so it's really inconvenient for me. So there's 2 hubs I can't choose between. 1. There's the regular USB Type-C @ 10 Gbps 2. And there's the monster Thunderbolt 3 with 40 Gbps What I'm working with is the following: 1. A monitor @ 240 Hz (currently using 60 Hz though, but upgrade is happening not so long from now) 2. A (mechanical keyboard) keyboard 3. Gaming mouse 4. Some headphones 5. External speaker monitors 6. Ethernet RJ-45 cable 7. And of course power; I believe it's possible to charge through Thunderbolt 3 your system, but I'm not sure My laptop is Thunderbolt 3 compatible so it would be no problem to use a Thunderbolt 3 hub. If the model of my laptop would give any help: MSI Stealth Thin I'd appreciate any helpful answers. ~Symon

I have a usb 3.1 gen 2/Thunderbolt 3 port (right side of alienware 155R2) & would like to connect atleast a keyboard, mouse & amplifier. If possible, I'd like to include either a HDMI (120 Hz) or Displayport (144 Hz) at 1920 x 1080 (AOC C24G1) & a high speed lan cable, with monitor being higher priority than lan. I don't need read/write speeds, so what would be the best option for me?

So I have a total of 7 fans connected to my Asus B85-PRO GAMER mobo (stock cpu cooler & gpu fans not included) on my Aerocool Srtike-X One chassis. 1 x Front Intake Fan: Thermaltake Pure 12 (cha_fan1) 1 x Bottom Intake Fan: Aerocool Fan + 2 x Top Outtake: Generic China Fans (cha_fan3) 1 x Back Outtake Fan: Thermaltake Pure 12 (cpu_opt) 2 x Side Panel Outtake Fans: Thermaltake Pure 12 connected to a DeepCool Fan Hub (cha_fan2) Why is it that the Max RPM on the Side Panel which is connected to the fan hub is lower than the other fans connected to the mobo directly? My Front intake fan can reach upto 1050rpm max and the side fans are just 950rpm. What did I do wrong? I'm confused.

I Just received the Chaser A41 from Thermaltake and noticed that my mother board only has 2 "fan inputs". One is specifically for the CPU and one was for the exhaust. My mobo is the Gigabyte 2AC8 if you need to know. I'm looking for a fan hub, not a controller, that would let me use all three fans + CPU fan. I do not need anything fancy just something reliable and gets the job done. Thank you

I'm trying to do a bit of research on fans, which are quiet but offer good performance, etc, and I've hit a roadblock. Everybody and their mother has a different opinion on which fans to use in a silent PC. I'll need fans for three unique jobs in this build: four 120mm fans in push/pull on a 240mm rad at the front of the case, four 120mm fans - two on the left and two on the right of the case, also intake, and two 80mm exhaust at rear. I decided to use this layout for a few reasons, first I've heard more intake than exhaust creates less dust. Second, with this many fans blowing from that man sides I figure I can get away with running them at low RPM for less noise. I could use NB- eLoops, but I hear they suck for rads. Could go all Noctuas, but I'm unsure if I need specific ones for specific jobs. Any advice for me on types of fans for this? Are SP good for all intakes on a smaller case? Working in Corsair Air 240. Also, trying to figure out a way to either control all fans through CPU header or some kind of internal, automatic sensor to increase or decrease RPM depending on temp.
